Oh well, lots of searchers, no cache to be found and an owner who appears to have lost interest.
This cache hasn't been found for more than a year and the owner last checked Geocaching Thursday, May 03, 2007 ... It's time to archive!
A trrrific bit of jungle between the houses. The rain today meant the creek was flowing nicely
No caches found after searching for an hour though
No caches found after searching for an hour though
Water running high in creek stopped too much exploration near it but at the coordinates no evidence of treasure. Note a couple of recent no finds.
The GPS signal was very poor in the area so after 20 minutes of searching we gave up. The weather had been very bad for the last week and the creek was flowing quite rapidly. I guess that we were also a little put off by the snake warning.
No end of searching would reveal this one to EcoDave and I
Maybe next time

Sats? what sats? GPS was happy at the start of the trail, but the closer to GZ, the more it was uninterested. Great valley though, just enough water to provide a small stream. Spent a bit of time looking on the wrong side, but eventually just gave up on the GPS and thought, where would I hide a cache here? Sure enough, it became an easy find.
Took: Jag TB
Thanks, Robmc.

Looked in company with the family that I'm staying with. Had a good search but didn't find cache or snake!!! We're quite glad of not finding the latter, but not so much for the former. A very interesting place, thanks anyway!
Great walk and nice creek to be found here, gave the GPS a couple of mins to decide where we should go and bingo GZ
thanks for bringing us here

Cache check is good, took the Canada sail Geocoin as im going to Canada soon, and left a Unite For Diabetes TB. Happy caching
4:04pm
Easy find, once we waited for the resident giant water dragon to finally leave, nice are, may have to come back and do the full walk soon.
Signed the log, dropped a coin and left a electronic key finder.
Cheers

Found about 4.15pm. Looked for a long time on the wrong side of the freaky creek. Took Chocolatte, left Aussie t-shirt keyring and a Rydges pen to go with the blue biros. Sorry, just read the bit that says "don't use pens as trade items" - I was already confused - why have 5 blue pens?? Thanks for the cache, James. Cheers, aussieangel.
PS there was no sign of a snake!

Went for a cache check today, a animal (most likely a snake) has taken up resident in the cache hiding spot. it sounded big. i heard it rattle around the container just before i stuck my hand in to get it. (thank god) i bailed out of there before i could drop off a geocoin. (the coin will be put in "sailors cache" about a Kilometer away) please exercise caution when finding this cache. i will archive it for a week then check it again. you can still log finds for the cache during the archive period. im doing it to discourage people who are not willing to seek a cache protected by what might be a Snake. if you go and find the cache during the archive period and there is no snake indicate on your log. also bring some pressure bandages and normal bandages with you. ( tightly warp pressure bandage and other bandage above snake bite to slow the flow of venom. then drive to the hospital.) if you seek the cache with the snake on it, take a photo and i will give you to logged finds for your bravery. (email me for Coordinates if they disappear of the cache page)
We originally expected the cache to be somewhere else, but this place is just magical. A small waterfall, a nice creek, excellent! Took TB and marbles, left pen.
Suffering from a lack of geocaching lately we decided to squeeze this into our busy October. Forgot to take the wire for the GPS/laptop connection so it was a bit of trial and error finding our way to the actual entry spot, but got there eventually. Had an initial hunt and after coming up empty handed Mrs Riptide went back to the car whilst I went a bit further on than the co ords said. Found eventually, picked up TB Skydiving Doug and dropped off TB All Blacks Supporters.
My gpsr said it was a bit further away (but it's been doing that a lot lately) Easy find, it's all in the hint. TNLNSL
Went out with the intention of finding number 100 (yahoo) but ended up empty handed. Found a number of likely spots but no joy.
I have been told “seek, and ye shall find†but not today. However in a nice place like this seeking is enough fun. TFTC
After reading of the previous seekers' problems, I entered the park with some trepidation. I needn't have feared as I soon had the cache in hand and re-hidden. It was some way from where the GPS was indication, but not far enough to cause immense trouble.
went to check up on the cache after a DNF i also am dropping off a TB, i wish i could take him further but this is as good as it will get
After the recent rain, im not sure of the cache's health. im going to check it today.
sorry if it got swept away and you did not find it,
also please log DNF.
i might move the cache to make it safer when it rains.

The cache got swept downstream about 500 meters, but the seals remained and it did not leak!. the cache is back in its hiding place and ready to go.
Got this cache no problems as the coords were spot on.
Thanks James Lobb for the cache and DVD.
Didn't take any trade items but left 4 Choc N' Toffee's.
I had a standard zip lock bag to place the log in but the log was larger than normal. (sorry)
Regards Philma.
PS Ratings spot on!

well i headed off this afternoon, knowing that i wouldnt be the first to find (however i was secretly hoping that i would be)
but as it turns out i was beaten by philma (i thoguth i would let him beat me to one jsut so he doesnt get too upset)
im glad i didnt go looking for this one before work as i would have raised much suspission trecking through the bush with a torch at about 5:30 in the morning. and for the facet i probably would have ended up in the water.
the sky gods were playing silly buggers with me this afternoon they had me going all over the shop, but in the end they pointed me rigth (and with some help from the clues) i finally found the cache.
i must say it is in a lovley quiet piece of bushland so close to homes. a much enjoyable cache hunt.
