Rattll and I are on a road trip in the South Island for three weeks. Having spent last night in the NZMCA park in Alexandra, we're headed for Wanaka tonight. On the way, we're targeting adlabs and a virtual at Cromwell. A pretty relaxed day, really, once all the morning chores at Alex are out of the way. After completing the adlab at Clyde, we wound up here, where we found a large falcon statue, and a cache (although not together). Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Moving on from alexandra today and heading towards lake Hawea.Oh, it's behind one of those bushes!!!!Some amazing views from here. Thanks for putting a cache here. I left an alphabet stone - the letter R
Stopped by here to admire the view and grab a cache. A slide down the bank also did wonders to re-align my back haha. Looked for the cache at the wrong angle for a while before a hunt from the other direction showed the cache. Signed my name and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache
Nice find here today tftc a lovely day to cache and after riding the zdunstan trail tftc
On my way to Queenstown and getting some caches on the way. This was one of my target caches. All good with the cache.
Good way to get us out of the house on a sunny but freezing morning with a coffee from three peaks in hand. Tftc
Thanks for interesting cache. Only found pencil and screwdriver. Put in 2 small rubbery items
Well, Rory, I didn't know you were a geocacher! A man of many talents. A long time since I last talked to you! Thanks for placing this cache.#10430
A foggy morning in Alexandra led us to Clyde for coffee and this cache. Stunning view and great spot for a cache TFTC
We are on a roll today - geocaching on this beautiful central Otago day. TFTC and the smiley
Thank you for the cache!Another day exploring and geocaching in New Zealand with my bestfriend geocacher Ironford. We left Queenstown in the morning, rented a car, and Ironford took the wheel on the RIGHT to drive us on the LEFT to Dunedin. Initially, it felt really weird, but we got so used to it that switching to the "correct" side of the road later felt somehow wrong. We made a few stops for caches and for amazing views during the day.Greetings from Prague, Czech Republic ??The thyme was everywhere and smelled so good!
A huge thank you to the cache owner for creating and maintaining a wonderful cache. EP79 and I have embarked on a three-month long geocaching trip across the globe, and we are both grateful and thrilled to discover new places and new friends. The first part of our trip is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. Today we left Queenstown and drove to Dunedin, making a few stops on the way. Thank you for an amazing find. A favourite point awarded for wonderful smell of thyme and the view.Sorry for logging with a delay. The trip was really busy, but at least I get to revisit these caches again and enjoy great memories. Many thanks for the invite to a beautiful place and for a wonderful geocaching adventure. Greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic, Europe.
There seemed to be so many brilliant spots it could have been hiding, and it wasn't in any of them. Tried a new perspective and there it was. The falcon is stunning! Tftc
Had me quite worried it might be half way down the cliff, then I double checked the difficulty rating . Added a copy of one of the originally placed toysThanks
Amazing views of the dam and mountains, and beautiful scent of thyme everywhere you walk. Thanks
A lovely view over the back of the dam. It gives a sense of perspective of what we need just to keep the lights on. It took me a while to get my bearings to the right GZ and to find a path but I got there in the end. The scent of thyme was lovely. TFTC.
Thanks roryworsfold for the cache. Its #1847 for us. We found your cache on Thursday 16 November 2023. Well that tool a lot of scrambling only to discover wed walked past it soon after we arrived! Lovely spot. FP from us today
This took me a few moments to find; not sure if the coordinates were a bit out or the rock outcrop was bouncing the GPS signal around. Excellent spot for a cache, thank you.
Yay! TFTC! Came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache, ?? Thanks for being part of the adventure!!
Love the history and landscape, touring with Tikitour. Can image the beautiful scent when thyme is in flower. TFTC
Down in the South Island on a roadie from Northland, with Dodge 1923.... interesting history and wonderful views everywhere. A little scramble to to the cache but soon in hand..Thanks for the hide.
Followed the wrong track and started searching too high at first, but I leaned over and spied it from above, so a bit of a scramble down and soon had the cache in hand. Lovely smell of thyme here. TFTC.
Checked several hiding places before finding this cache tucked well out of sight.
My exit route from GZ was much easier than my approach.

What a wicked view! This area always blows my mind so was a good excuse to stop and enjoy it.
Initially looked at the wrong altitude so changed height and found it quickly enough. Even found a stray piece of log that mustve blown away on someone...put it back in. Cheers
