Had done this walk years ago pre discovering geocaching. Happy to do it again with a bonus this time. Tftc
We are always on a hunt for some treasure exchanges, so the little ones have fun too. Thanks
A stunning day for a walk out on this ridgeline. We parked the car below and took a walk up to GZ. Blue sky, lots of grass trees and a good Trail to GZ. This area does need some rain as many of the Gumtrees sadly, are dying. It was great to find this old large ammo tin. Accurate coordinates and we soon had our name in the log. Thanks trail_geekDomsky
After what felt like forever we reached GZ and it was a quick find. Thank God it started going back down after that. Tftc
It started bucketing down just as we left the car for the “short walk” to the cache ️ totally drenched but TFTC
Found it. TFTC trail_geek. Had a bit of spare time so I made the effort to hike up the hill. I was rewarded with a great view and also a smiley. Replaced as found.
Micks and Burns345 at IGD2022. Caching and enjoying the weekend thanks to Westozgeocaching.
We found your cache in good condition.
We found your cache in good condition.
Headed out with the MICKS (Meme28, I C Nothing,Cirrus_WA, Kapalua and me SirFancy) crew and Burns345.
We got a lot done and headed to the CITO event then got a few more before lunch, after lunch we jumped in to different peoples FWDs and headed out as a much larger group, there was mud and fun.
Ended the day with good food surrounded by good people.
Cache in good condition.
This is my 3120 find.
Thank you trail_geek for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)

A good way to work off brekkie at the Bindoon Bakehaus. A long uphill tek, but lovely view from the top.
Out and about caching on the IGD 2022 weekend, with Meme28, I C Nothing, Cirrus_WA, Sir Fancy and Burns345. Some logs signed as MICKS B345. TFTH!

Out and about for the IGD weekend. We started on the wrong track snd made a meal of it. Started again and made the successful trek. Cache found and logged. Cheers!
Finally ticked this one off the list after shelving it in the "too exerting" basket. Certainly was exerting but terrific views. Tftc
A big day of caching was planned for today. Machman and I hit the road just after 6:30am, returning home 12hrs later. A full day of caching from Indian Ocean Drive, across to Gingin, Bindoon, parts of Julimar Road then down around Chittering. Over 70 finds and luckily only a handful of DNFs, and 1 FTF!
Thanks to all the COs for your efforts. TFTC.

Many thanks to all the GC owners who placed hides for hides for the weekend.

We missed this one out when we were hunting the other caches in the area so today was the day to put in some extra effort and clean up the local map. TFTC trail_geek
Headed north east of the city today to New Norcia to complete the set of adventure labs up there. Managed a mid morning start just after all the traffic and made our way up Great Northern Highway. Had a good day out but haven’t seen new norcia this deserted one any of our previous visits.
Thanks to the local COs for a great days fun.

Thanks trail_geek for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
On a bit of a 'boys day out' today, we decided that this cache needed some attention
Parking at the closest point at the bottom, we headed straight up the steepish firebreak towards GZ where we found the cache quickly (its in plain view once you are near). We added our names to the logbook before heading back to the car.
1/2 way down, we crossed the 'official' walking track for the second time. DangerMouse09 decides it would be remiss of us to not sample the trail and see what it was like . 'But the car is just there' I suggested. He suggested I needed the extra 500m walk ... !!, so he won and we enjoyed the trail as intended

Outnabout with Team Bastholm and JAM1511 on our way home after being in Northam for WAGB19. A warm walk and glad of a substantial easy find.
On my way to this one, I slipped and cut my knee quite badly. We had to return to Bindoon and the wonderful Health Centre where they stitched me up. Another time, maybe.
Searched a long time for this last time I was in town, but not having much signal did not help.
This was much easier with a downloaded satellite view map.
Redeemed at last! It was great to finally sign in.
I do love this hike and it was especially lovely after the rain today.
Thanks for the hide

Well this got the heart pumping to get up to this cache, a great view from here. tftc
Wish I'd taken water! Didn't realise it was such a hard hike on a hot and sunny day. Nice quick find though and what a view! Tftc and the exercise
tftc trail geek i parked along the track and did the short steep walk up to the cache where it was a very quick find and then back down the hill. Very green and a great view today.
Hubby and geo grandson hiked up the hill to claim the smiley here, a nice easy find with a top notch view TFTC
Walked up from the main road Was good to stretch the legs Great views Out with Juju54 TFTC
Looked and looked and looked and looked. No luck.
At least we picked a cooler day for the climb, and we certainly enjoyed the walk and the views.
We will have to come back next time we are visiting the area

After a brisk climb up and along the track we approached GZ. Co-ords seemed a bit off for us today but we broadened the search area and had a find after exploring all the options.
Signed the log and replaced exactly as found.

Definitely the standout cache of the day
Every caching day needs a good walk through the scenery !!
This walk provided plenty of scenery
A detour from the trail took me to GZ and a good cache find [^]
Great container
Logbook signed, I was off to the top !!

Was glad to have finally reached the top for this one. Found with Artemis, TFTC!
Taking the long way back to Perth from Toodyay and we stopped here for a coffee. Followed the walk track to the lookout then made the detour to the cache. It was a quick find once at GZ and great to see an ammo can. Took a different shorter way back. The wild flowers are just starting to come out so the walk took longer than it should have as we were always stopping to photograph the flowers.

One of our favourites. The content needs improving, hope we helped with that a bit. Milogang.
Chauffeuring K.B. on an afternoon drive. Thanks for your contribution to her entertainment.
A tough climb trying unsuccessfully to avoid the thousands of ticks in the area. An appropriate hide...so many possible hiding spots up here. Thanks trail geek.
Found this one whilst on doing the Tourist Drive series. Was great to stop and grab some of the pre-existing caches along the way. Thanks for bringing me up here trail geek
PS Picked up a few unwanted hitchhikers here - ticks aplenty!!

Out doing the Tourist Drive series and grabbing a few others along the way. Geo-hubby headed to gz and being a warm day, scanning the track ahead for anything nasty. Took a few minutes to locate the container even though co-ords spot on. - a case of eenie, meanie, minie3 mo! Bonus - nothing nasty encountered. Thanks trail geek
I have wanted to find this cache for a long time, but each time we've driven along this road there hasn't been time to stop for a 3km hike. Today it was quite warm, but I parked in the official parking area, and headed along the trail.
With about 170m to go to the cache I spotted a kangaroo trail on my left, and followed that directly towards GZ. When I arrived at GZ the first thing I saw was a travel bug lying on the ground, so I picked it up and took it with me. My guess is it's been there for a few months, and I'm surprised the last couple of finders didn't spot it.
After finding the TB I knew I was in the right area and it wasn't long until I found the cache. After this I decided to take the direct route back to the car, and spotted a few kangaroos along the way.
A lovely walk, thanks for the cache trail_geek!

Enjoyed the walk up to this one on the marked trail. Bit of a detour for the cache but there is a faint trail to follow. Quick find at GZ of a well stocked container. TFTC!
Had stopped at the parking place for this cache earlier in the day to grab a new cache at The Grass Tree sculpture, then went on to do some other caches before returning to walk up to this one. Enjoyed the walk with the wild-flowers in bloom. Arrived at GZ and took a few minutes to find the cache, but it was spotted immediatey when I looked in the right place. Had a cuppa with my geo-wife here and relaxed for a little while before rehiding the cache.
Signed the log. Grabbed some TBs and dropped off a path tag. Thanks for the hide trail_geek

WOW! Lovely area and cache. Had our first run in with a tiger snake on the trek up there!!! Close call, so summer cachers beware!

Out with the Geofamily on a wildflower expedition so we went for a nice hike up to the ridge and spotted numerous wildflowers and a bobtail lizard. Found the cache off the main track and kids enjoyed opening the bigger container. TFTC.

Don't give up if you can't find it at the site described in the hint.
We found and replaced it very nearby.

Found Geocache! With family, but because we had never been to black boy ridge we missed the stairs and went through the bush, luckily this was a faster route.

That was a hard walk for an old fellow, but it was also my exercise for the day. What a great view. TFTC. NTNL.
Nice little walk to find this one 900m round trip from car park. Good for kids, swapped a piece of coral for a koala keyring.
(Chwiliwr team catch up log)
Seems a long time between visits for such a lovely place. We walked right up the hill before finding the cache and watched the sunset and then walked down again in the gloom and soon found the cache after the GPS settled.
Thanks trail geek for the cache. Now for the long drive home.

Whoops - forgot to log this earlier! Beautiful walk to a nice little hill in the middle of the bush. Lots of bees!
Yep you guessed it we didn't read the cache page before tackling this one! [:o)] And we paid the price [B)]
We parked the car about 300mts below GZ and started to make the vertical ascent we hadn't gone 5metres when Mrs Felix realised she wasn't going to make it so stayed with the car and took some photos of the wildflowers which are just coming out.
Mr Felix made the vertical ascent then followed the walk trail down and around to the car?

Pretty hot today but a nice breeze kept the flies at bay.

I enjoyed the many wild flowers on the walk, and the flies nearly carried me to the top of the hill
It was a last minute decition to do this cache as time was an issue. We are glad we did it and enjoyed the climb and the view, we quickly found the cache and avoided muggles in the area.
