very close to activating. My apologies for the time, have been working on this one for a while now.
No 7 of 7 and now on 999 finds. Got to the chair on top of the hill and quickly did the projection. Got to GZ and found the item mentioned in the hint. Very clever. TFTC
Well, I waved, but I didnt see you waving back! I was ready to call this a DNF when I stumbled across it. I could say it was good geocaching, but it was something of a fluke. Thanks.
Second time up the hill, but well worth the visit. Tried a bit harder, found within minutes. TFTC.
THIS HAS BEEN A WORK IN PROGRESS TOO!I SHOULD KNOW BY NOW TO READ THE NAME OF THE CACHE CAREFULLY!!TFTCHALLENGE
The K9 of the nearest house gave warning of my arrival but nobody appeared to be home. My projection was spot on and the cache was soon in my hands. Thanks for the cache.
Yippee, was having a bad streak of unfound multis until this one. Found easy enough, perhaps a little further away than I expected.
Out on an Albany numbers run with OG Phatazz, TWS drving and maintenance visits.

The first waypoint little cache has gone missing , so I have made it an easier off set, I could have changed it to a Trad, but decided to go with the multi, as the main thing I wanted you to see was the view!--Glyn. ( if they steal the seats & the tree, I might go with the Trad!)
After an email from Glyn we climbed Retirement Hill again this evening armed with the directions to the final cache and our torches. It looks very pretty from up here at night with the lights of the city all around. Made the projection and soon saw something that might fit the clue, but no cache. We widened the search, but it was difficult by torchlight. Just as we had agreed to leave it until daylight, we spotted something that gave us that Aha moment and the cache was in hand. Waved our torches at the nearby hill as we left. Thanks Glyn.

Could not find WP1, even though we were pretty sure we knew what we were looking for. Not too many places to search after all. Tried unsuccessfully to find it a few weeks ago right on dusk - had a pretty good search but thought we may have missed it in the gloom. Tried again this evening but to no avail.
Making the most of daylight saving. Headed off with Helefant to tidy up some loose ends. Found Wpt 1 easily. Final took a bit more frustrating time. But got there in the end. Wondered if you saw us glyn!! Nice spot and finally was feeling the cold for the first time in months. Also nearly muggled by a muggle and a doggle. Just as well the light was fading. SL. TNLN TFTC.
Had found Wpnt 1 ages ago, but couldn't have a decent hunt as there was someone in a near by garden watering the plants & looking over the fence- that was before all that rain last year. Found the Cache were had already tentivily had a look but missed fist time. Glad to get back to wave to you again as I don't know what i've done but when I log on to geocaching.com at work, it opens on this cache page not on the home page. So i'm reminded of retirement at work. TNLNSL TFTC
Thanks for taking us to this reserve, we had to learn some new navigation skills to find this one T4TC.
Thanks for this. Had a rookie cacher with me and this was a good example of offset or simple multi. She came up with the goods in the end. Great views! I could see your house!
Afternoon caching with Indiana Jill. GPS in my hands, so off we went. And yes I came up with the goods!! Thanks Jill. What a fantastic spot, you can see so far... TFTC.
Easy find. Nice location. [^]

Did you see me, Glyn? Or did you give up looking for people on the hill. Finally, after 10 months, someone found this cache. As all you caches it was not easy, particularly the final, but I did find it. Next time, when I am in the area I will bring a new pencil for it as well. Great cache, thank you. Hopefully the sport will get a boost from the advertising it got last night through the bomb-scare at Aotea Square.
Didn't pass go on this one, couldn't find WP1. Spoke to owner later that day who agreed it was missing.
Quick easy find of first point. Sinautus and I searched for about 15minutes before we found final.. It helped remembering the clue then it became clear

Hope you were watching today! I think this should be called 'One Palm Hill', or even 'One Tree Hill'.
When I saw the patch of scrubby bush at the final cache, I thought this could be a long search. However the cache was cleverly obvious.
Thanks for the cache.

10:45 Both quick finds we waved at your house Glynn's did you see us. We suspected it was the camouflaged house in the hill (See photo). TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

Glynn, finally took the kids back for another go at it, should have looked at the hint more carefully the first time. No probs, although no pen or pencil to record the visit, thanks for the cache.

Hunting with XenaCommander... we seem to be mining the rich seam of Glyn caches today. We cheekily rode our bikes up the path to GZ of WP1 which was quickly found by XC. The cache itself was another matter... the clue confused until the feature was spotted. Nice hide Glyn, thanks for the fun... and now onward to the next... Zoooommmmmmmmm
TechnoKitten and I were out hunting caches on north shore.. It seems we are on a thick vein of Glyn Caches...!!! We are enjoying them all..
We rode the bikes up the path close to first WP... Pic attached... Do you like TK's new hot "Flash"... or souped up banana..!!
XC found the micro easily... then headed off to final.. after a bit of bush bashing because GPSr was bouncing around... I was still among the thick stuff when TK yeowls out found..
Cute placement... cute clue.
TK signed the log and we left cards...

Second one for the evening.
Waypoint one was well done. Found the cache, good hiding place. A nice wee park.
Noted the sun was setting while we where there. Grabbed out the camera. Took a 20 second video of the view from the top, you can see it here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GHowzrlywg
Enjoyed this cache, and no cutting grass either

6.20pm. Were going to have a crack at this one yesterday while doing some maintenance on one of our close by caches but the rain put a stop to that. Waited for the rain to stop today and was rewarded with a geocoin we didn't know was there . Some great views from the top of the hill.

Kids saw part one before getting to site and had a good look around before finding, 6th of 17 for the day
Thanks Glyn for this Cache. I must have been past a hundred times on the way to hockey. In fact after seeing this cache on line I located what I believed to be the hill while refereeing games. We were lucky when it came to finding a place to park and we found part 1 reasonably quickly. (We gave a wave at this point.) We found part 2 after a bit of rummaging. We gave a farewell wave after the log and we were off. Didn't see a soul... + a micro highlighter - a parachuter.
Had never even noticed this hill before, yet so obvious once you know its there. Found both without problems.

A nice short multi which seems to be designed to make sure you don't miss the views and it really would be a pity not to appreciate them. Took a little work to narrow down the location of the final, just enough to give a sense of acheivement without the frustration.
No probs with the first stage, great view from the top. Major probs with the second stage, just couldn't seem to find it. Kids were getting a bit impatient, so gave up in the end. Will be back to have another go soon.
Did this with Tufty on a bit of a grey old day. Found it no trouble, and yet again geocaching took us to a lovely spot I wouldn't otherwise have gone to. TNLNSL. Cheers.
I seem to be following Zorgon around again - just like last week down in Tauranga!

Mr & Mrs Coldstream came to visit and showed off the latest addition to their team and while the ladies oohed and aahed Coldstream and I decided to do a couple of the newest and closest caches.
We started off with this one and after intimidating the man who was sitting on the seat he finally moved off and we zeroed in on the first waypoint. A couple of minutes later we had the final in our hands.
Out: Gandalf TB
In: Spinning top and Dino rubber.
Cheers for the cache.

We enjoyed our visit to 'one tree' hill. Nice hide! We were beginning to think it was going to be a major mission then thought outside the square. TNLN. Many thanks
This was too close to resist. I was at a course nearby for the day. Great views, but nearly got muggled at GZ. Nice little spot to hide a cache. TNLN Thanks.
2.20pm. Thought it must have been on this hill when we got the notification of this new cache. We also know the chilly wind that frequents this hill so were prepared. Stage one straightforward. Hadn't realised the bush existed that surrounded the base of the park. Earlier logs were of assistance here and the spoils were soon located. An enjoyable interlude.

Hah! you were lucky to score the FTF Runzz.
I found WPT1 at 0800hrs yesterday but hunted for an hour, but did not find the cache itself. It turns out I "hit" the cache with in 2 minutes of reaching GZ and I can not believe I missed it.
It seems that the cammo concealed not only the visual but also the "feel" of the container. I am positive I touched it but thought what I felt was part of the "hide"
I convinced a friend with whom I was riding to give me 5 minutes to finally grab the cache this morning.
Amazingly I drive past at least once a week and yet never really noticed this hill before. Glyn I waved out wildly but failed to see any acknowledgement from the nearby hills.
TNLNSL T4TC
Thanks for the discovery of the, to me, shocking fact that a negative "feel" in a hidey hole may not be proof of the abscence of a cache container. Hmmm ?? Maybe I can enlarge on this idea for a cunning cache placement?

Yeah FTF , it has been a while since the last one. Saw this cache come up lastnite, decided to wait till today. Thought another local cacher would have bet me, but NO!!
Didn't take long to find the micro, just had to wait for a muggle to move on who came into area just after me.
The final cache fell rather quickly.
A nice view up there from the seat. This was another spot I was thinking of placing a cache but I was beaten.
Cheers

I too have been looking at placing a cache in this very reserve........had the co-ords marked and the cache container ready.
Just hadn't place them or listed it.
Oh well that will teach me to be slack......[b)][b)]
