This cache is no longer there. I have been to the site several times and it is NOT there!
The cache has not been found since 2011 so I. Think it is time something was done about it

This cache needs to be archived as it is no longer there and the owner has not responded
Noticed that this hasn't been found for a while so thought we would give it a go but no good.
Searched high and low but no luck. The "prickly bush" mentioned and shown in the photograph has been cut down which could account for the cache not being found.
Perhaps the cache owner could replace.
A very interesting drive though and well worth the trip

Had a quick look but it was very hot & we were worried about snakes. Had geokids with us.
Will probably go back next time a kind local man was trying to help but we did not want to draw too much attention so we left it foe another day.
Very interesting piece of history at this spot. There was some renovation work going on in the old post office today. Cache was easy to find as it was just lying on the ground amongst the trees, I rehid it a little better. Thanks for the cache, great location.
An interesting drive to a little hidden hamlet. Couldn't help but feel someone watching while we were searching (probably just the nearby horses). Found the coords were a little out. If you are standing reading the memorial head towards the power pole hidden in the trees.
Second try at this one. Last time I had 4 girls around 9 years old with me very hard trying to keep track of the kids and look in the right places. Met very friendly local who is trying to open a tea house in the future, council permiting. TFTC

Replaced log book in a new zip lock bag. Old books are still in cache but totaly wet.
Would of never knew this place was here. At first we thought the cache had been muggled. We didnt give up, read the clue and geo-kid had the cache in hand soon afterwards
Thanks Mountain Goat

Had a quick look for it but long grass + warm temerature = snakes, so didn't persist for too long. Couldn't find prickly thing referred to in previous notes.
Starting to think we'll never get to 50 finds!

the lid was cracked in several places making everything inside the container severely wrecked, especially the log book.
Nice spot, very quiet though. We stopped to find it on our way to the gold mines with Yurt. Didnt take any thing or leave anything.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Found this one on our expedition to Comans Mine (aka "the old gold mine") with Team Hare. The lid of the cache is cracked and the log book is saturated so needs replacing - the new log book needs a ziplock bag as well. A good hunt, thanks!
The co-ordinates for this cache might be out a bit, but it is still findable. I did need the previous log for help, but when found, it stands out like a sore thumb. Are the locals aware of it?.....it is way out in the open. Not hidden at all well. But it made for a good search.

Found on a drive through the area to visit Comans Mine.
Searched for a while before nearly giving up and then having a closer look at what had been previously dismissed as a littered bottle in the distance after realising there wasn't much other litter around. The cache was out in the wide open about 5 m from the indicated co-ordinates. Replaced it back a little bit and covered it some more. Also the tin in the the middle of the rounda-a-bout is a mailbox, not a cache.
Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme.

Been here a few times in the past, with an old flat-mates ex-husband living here prior to their marriage. A quiet little hamlet with a lot of history; the only creatures moving were an old dog and a couple of inquisitive ponies. The cache was quickly to hand, makes a nice change. Thanks MG, 2nd of yours for the day.

Weird! We found this one in the bushes with the lid a couple of feet away. Strange thing is the contents were clean and bone dry as if the lid had only just come off. There's no way it's been like that since January 08. Oh well, we replaced the lid anyway and hid the cache back in the bushes.

Back into the fog for this one, and was quite thick at GZ. Muggles in the house over the road were out and about and changing cars, so pretended to study the monument for a while until they left. But no luck with it, and looked fairly carefully - unless it was right in the middle in which case it can stay there! Looked around all sides of the prickly thing with no luck.
Sadly we were not able to come up with the goods on this one but none the less it was an interesting place to visit (our search was probably a little bit half hearted with the prickles though). After making friends with the local dog and reading the monument and information board we continued on to Comans mine. On our return from Comans mine we came apon a beaut 5'6" Red Bellied Black snake and watched it for a while then continued just down the road to the monument for another look but still nada. Anyhow while there we come upon a 6 or 7 foot diamond python. Whilst we were watching this one crossing the road the neighbors were sitting out the front and were thinking we were lost and came up to see if we were lost or something. When we said what we were doing they said that that snake usually lives in their roof.
This was an excellent cache even though we did not come up with the goods we really enjoyed the experience we had here.

Good to finally get this one off my local list, had to borrow one of the junior members of Team Maxi to get in and get the cache as it's not really designed for somebody like me, great cache thanks

The 12th of 16 cache finds on our big four wheel driving adventure tour and this one took a little searching to find but number 1 geokid came up with the prize after about 5 minutes, we were a little worried about this cache being in the middle of town but we didn't see another living soul the whole time we were there, it felt a bit strange actually, great to read a little history about the gold rush days too TNLNSL TFTC

The GPSr consistantly had me standing in the middle of the grassy area. I focused on nearby bushes within a 10 metre radius, but came up empty handed. Using the hint, my search area got expanded somewhat... and judging by the tracks all through the surrounding bush, I'm not alone on this.
Will be coming back to do the walk to Coman's Mine, so will have another go at it then.
Additional: It was prime cache hunting conditions. Busy area, according to the logs, but I never seen a soul. Just an old dog that dropped by for a hello and a pat.

An elongated search for this one, actually I came pretty close to giving up, but at last, there it was. Thanks.

Took awhile to find. Interesting story & location. I turned into Williams St on the way in & eventually, on the way out - hate to get lost.
Easy find once I had the right place. Read the inscryption with interest too. TNLN thanks for the cache.
Well, that was an interesting historical site - Great Location. Had cache quickly, when looked in the right place. Whilst doing so, there must have been 5 or more cars go past - busy place. Thanks.
A quick visit to check on this one and retrieve the puzzle coin which has been stuck in here way too long, all four puzzle pieces will be reunited in Bendethra the weekend after next at the "Gone Bush! - 2007" (GC116MC) event. Enjoy!

Driving through this area I noticed there was a cache just meters from where I parked my car, so I thought that I would spent a few minutes looking but I was unable to find. I must admit I didn't really try that hard, I was in a bit of a hurry.
What a [:o)] if I had of known there was a puzzle coin I would of stayed until I found it, and I would of picked up the other pieces as i also drove over them.

Hmmm - now this one was tricky! Spent over half an hour searching! So many prickly spots! Was just going to give up, when I sat down and though I haven't looked under there yet? - And there is was. - I really think this deserves a difficulty rating of closer to 4! Nice spot though. Left a puzzle coin. Thanks again Mountain Goat!
I nearly parted company with the GPS on this one. It kept sending me to the wrong spot. I felt like a pincushon by the time I found the cache. But I did end up finding it in failing light.
It was good to visit this spot that I would have otherwise missed out on.

Headed south for a bucks weekend and a few caches. When I left home this cache hadn't been found so I was pleasantly surprised to still see the coin in the cache when I got to it. Thanks Team Maxi.
I'd been out here before so it was a nice return to a familiar place and even on good graded roads.
Thanks MG
