pjmpjm suggested we go and see if this long archived cache was still there and since we had a bit of time we had a good look around GZ. The likely spot complete with camo rocks was empty!
It would have been nice to see this one, I have fond memories of the Mark Foys store in the 70's before it became Grace Bros and is now the state court house complex.

After our amazing re-discovery of the old and archived 'A Find at Faulco' at Faulconbridge, I thought it might be worthwhile for rogerw3 and I to stop by the old GZ of this cache, just a few metres from the end of Bellevue Crescent in Medlow Bath. It seemed very easy to reach.
But alas! The former hiding spot is apparent, with even a few camo stones present, but the ammo can is gone, probably long gone.
Anyhow, it was an adventure and worth a try.
You can see where there must have been a lookout here. The ancient semi-circular fence is still in place.

As noted this area is now pretty well covered with rusty wire. In the interests of tetanus-avoidance and since there are quite a few caches in the area, we're going to retire Foy's Folly (pausing just a moment to raise our glasses to its beloved memory) and reincarnate it in another guise but using the same container and treasures as soon as a spot presents itself.
Many thanks to everyone who passed this way and added to the fun.

The Rabbi and I are a little concerned about Joe Bloggs report of rusty wire at the cache. (Thanks for the heads-up, Joe)
Since this is a kid-centric cache we're going to disable it until we can get up there and check it out.
Sorry for the inconvenience

An easy find but watch the rusty wire if geokids accompany you on this one.

We were headed up to Parkes today to visit a mate for her birthday. Whilst we were on a limited timeline we couldn't resist checking out this cache to rack up 800 GC.COM/GCA.COM.AU caches comined.
What better way to do it than with a nice Ammo can.
Thanks for the cache. Great spot.

We missed the turn and had to walk around from the other side of the service station. Had it not been private property, we would have cut through the vacant lot next to the servo.
Nice easy find in the end. We took a new waypoint reading with Dvixen's GPSr while I was signing the log, but somehow, we forgot to save it

Horrorking Jr, Boofie, found this a good challenge, and was gently guided to GZ by her older brother Burkie. A great one for the kids.
After a wet Christmas day, Boxing day turned out perfect for caching. In particular, always nice to visit a cache which you must have drivenm past so many times.....

A relatively easy cache to find. Good size for the TBs I carried over from Taiwan. Take care of them.
Found at 10:55 am on a foggy morning, but the sun is trying to come out. nice little walk thru the bush.
Took: bow tie.
Left: container of cherub cutouts.

A nice easy walk through the pines
No nettles, scrub or spiky vines
Just a leisurely stroll through the woods
To retrieve a box full of goods
So thanks for bringing us to this spot
Nice to see a big cache with the lot
Came With dragon_rider15 while on our tour of the bluies (self guided, with assistance of our eTrex). Found quickly, too quickly, so I found some extra sticks, rocks, etc. to place over the cache.

On our trip to Blue Mountains with the 'ol reliable landcruiser and our caching buddy Mr Cooroy Scouts.
Found this cache easily only a few metres of the co-ordinates stated, a great start to the day. No sign of the children's memories past, rope swing, cubby etc
Perhaps we approached this from the wrong side but had cache to hand in under 5 mins.

I nice day for a walk after a couple of days of really bad weather. Walked from a log cabin we were staying at nearby and found the cache fairly easily.

I had to take my bike for a ride to charge up the battery. Couldn't help myself to do a nice easy cache on the way. Thanks for the easy find. (I didn't want to leave my bike alone too long...)

This was a very easy find in almost below zero temperatures. We didn't follow the instructions but found the cache all the same. As it was night we just went with the easiest option.
Eighth of eleven finds on our very early morning Blue Mountains cache run. TFTC!
We parked only metres from the cache, but then backtracked to follow the directions as posted.
Great views... I'd love a house around there!
We spotted another bod that we suspect is a cacher, but she seemed focused on hiding her GPS, so we just left her be.
No logs today, so we assume that the cache was not found.
Found the cache without too much difficulty.
Took - Mini torch

Quite an easy find, on my way from Katoomba to Hunters Valley. Took the fishing bait TB, left two TB's, Buddha and Figure Five.
It's true, there is a terribly easy way in to this cache... but that's if you're going by car.
If you're a geokid on foot (as TTS was) our way is still the best way Plus you get to burn off some of the lunch you just scoffed at the Hydro....
Who is TTS I hear you asking? Ah - you'll have to check the log book for that.....

We parked mere meters away from this one. And instantly knew that the Rumples had been in the area, as their calling card was evident!
A nice quick find and then back into the car for more.

Nice easy find on the way through to Mt Willy. Found GZ in a pinch, only a few metres from the car. Perhaps we tok a different route to that suggested in the cache description?

On my back from Lithgow and hopped off the train in Medlow Bath to have a look for this one. A very hot day but a lot cooler at the time of my search around 4:30pm. An easy find with good directions to get to the GZ, an even easier way out. TNLNSL
We decided we have driven past this one too many times now, so this time we took the time to make a quick detour. We had no trouble finding the cache and the co-ordinates looked good enough to us. There is now how ever, a large colony of ants setting up HQ about 2 Metres from GZ and the mozzies were having a field day with our legs but hey, thats all part of the fun.
Nice work.
Took nothing and left nothing.

Found with -e^ip and friends. He took the find here. The ants where very active so we took the cache away to open it and replaced it very quickly and carefully afterwards. There was some very unkid friendly rubish that was in the area that wanted disposal of but I turned a blind eye so as not to draw our kids attention to it. We also found the cache about 10 meters from the car.

Co-Ords are spot on, and YES the car can be parked 10m from it but whats the fun in that. By reading the clues and hence the story we eventually found it.

Ropes has come back to say the co-ords were a-ok (thanks, Ropes) so this one can be tracked again.
Just to clarify, though, although this cache is not intended in any way to be restricted to kids, we have written the clues in a way that we hope will allow kids to lead the chase. Hence, also, the not-too-camouflaged hiding of the cache. We don't want too much poking around under rocks in the middle of snake season....
The clues assume a starting point at the main gate of the Hydro Majestic. But its all just fun - the co-ords should lead you to where you want to go...

We've sent a note to Ropes asking if he entered from the correct street.
If Ropes has entered from Bellevue Cres, the cache has been moved and the co-ords will be out, so maybe avoid this one until we've heard back.

I just happened to come across this description of a folly in our latest Whacky but True magazine.
“Only other people can bestow the title of Folly on your monstrous erectionâ€.
Fair enough, I guess.
I was so impressed with the pineapple in Dunmore, Scotland I think I will have to build the mango in Campbelltown.

Thanks for the well stocked cache. I am also worried about the muggle potential here so I hid it a bit better again. (threw some leaf litter over it). I took the room alarm and left a US $10 note that I found in my wallet after a recent rip to the states. $10 US is about $1500 Australian so be quick
It dawned this morning without a cloud in the sky! Perfect bullet day. With a bit of a late start we had an enjoyable ride to Mt Vic where we stopped for fuel, some 19 cents cheaper than Bathurst, figger that???
We knew where we had to go so this was no prob, pulling up very close to GZ. Still having to convert to Ozi my gpx file this took but a minute, so to fill in punched the coords into yhe steam driven one & Mrs R was off for a look!
She headed the right direction first but reception for her played havoc, she did some wondering!By this time the atoms were cooking & I was in the hunt! Having a much better look @ the gods took me straight to gz finding the well stocked cache easy as things are a little obvious(We reallly hope this one does not get muggled, we hide it a little better)The coords by the time I logged the cache were only 4mt out. There is a log in the cache claiming ftf but no logs here & not being able to find the log name on either site! We are caliming ftf till logs say different.Thanx for the reason to go for a bullet ride well done! Thanx again.
