The last visitor painted a rather nasty picture of the state of the sight. It sounds like its a place I would no longer like to visit or expose kids to so its time for it to go.

Went today with extended family. The cache area is now a drug den with bongs, plastic bags for glue sniffing & other residue including human faeces scattered throughout.
We found the last bit the hard way. I don't believe this is a safe area for geocaching any more.
Took geokids home for disinfecting.

Once the satellites had stabilized, it was not too hard to find. Amazing though how much garbage, including a new cable modem with charger, was lying around in the bushes.
The content of the cache was wet. Due to it's location it requires a better waterproofing.
Took toy animal, left fridge magnet.

Stopped the Geomobile in a deserted car park and made my way into the bush. I spotted the Cache as I was walking in so I made the find straight away.

Plenty of parking at 6:55pm on a rainy thursday afternoon. Parked within about 20 metres and walked straight to cache. The log book is still wet and there is no pen or pencil.

Pulled up and had a quick look at likely spots where indicated without success. Returned to the car to check the clues. Hmmm, checked a couple halfheartedly but the long grass, rubbish, and having spotted my first snake for the season yesterday diminished the enthusiasm somewhere. Cheers.

Looked around a lot and thought we'd found the area described in the logs, but still no joy. Any clues welcome.

Found with geo parents and richlink. An easy find. Thanks.

Found at 1345. We actually got busted by a neighbour who thought we were druggies! 'No' said geo-hubby 'I'm a herpetologist, studier of frogs' (He saw it on the telly the other night and said 'that might come in handy!') She replies 'Herbatologist, sounds like drugs to me'. Luckily we had signed the log and were able to replace it with geo-hubby standing in front of me. We took our leave after saying there was no evidence of frog life (?) in the area and she seemed happy with that. So beware the neighbour who lives just over the back of GZ location - she knows something is going on.

This was our second find for the day with Kombi and was glad we didn't have the geomum with us on this one or she would of took one look at the area and said lets go. So not wanting to let this one have the better of us and after being rather concerned over the previous DNF's we still decided to give it a go. We spent a fair bit of time looking and were about to give up when i found it!!! To those that registered DNF's all i can say is that perhaps you were looking to deep into the area as although that is where our GPS reading lead us, we didn't have the best accuracy and its not that far in, its more just at the start of where the track becomes thin after the somewhat open area. It is a small, clear, click lock container with blue sides and it is still their but hidden rather well under the grass. Hope this helps those a little that registered DNF's but i didn't want to give to much away!!! TNLN, TFTC.

2nd find for the day.. good hiding spot

had very long look for this cache i beleive that i located where it was
but there was nothing but there was a smashed black plastic container close by needs you to check on let us know if its alright

thanx

We went to look for this one and could not find it. However we did find a hollow that looks like it may have housed the cache previously. It was in the right place (per GPS) and seemed to be the obvious hiding place given the amount of cover.

I think this has been muddled. I can't say I found the cache, but I am fairly
confident we found where it was. So I am putting this down as a note.

May need maintenance

We had looked for this once before when in the area but gave up due to the rubbish, needles, overgrowth and spikey stuff. Today we were nearby again and thought we would give it another go. Although there seems to be a bit less overgrowth than before, the spikey stuff - both the natural and the needle kind, again put us off so even though we had a bit of a hunt, we did not think it was worth the effort. Maybe the cache owner could have a look at this one - or maybe think about relocating to a nicer spot?

First cache for the day and I found it straight away. TFTC TNLN 6:30am

Didn't find the cache, but 8 or so ticks found me! The area is flattened and the cut grass, rubbish and other hazards are a real deterrent to finding the goal. Might try again another time.

10-Aug-07
This one concerns me more than any other in the series.
I am pretty sure that it will still be in place but the degredation of the area is a concern. When planted, the environment was pristine. I wil try and check this one before I go.

Bateau Bay Bandit and cphoenix are becoming "The Bandit Phoenix" in the near future.
We will be honeymooning in India until the end of October.
If you have troubles with this cache, be patient and we will address your dramas when we return.

09-Aug-07
Searched for about 10 minutes in the dark, and tried to avoid the swordgrass and blackberries and othe suss rubbish - I will have to log a DNF for this. Anyone confirm if it is still there, has been a while without finds?

30-Jun-07
After seeing where it was going to be, the amount of rubbish, syringe disposal boxes, home made bongs, blackberry, sword grass, I looked for a short while. But decided there were much nicer locations to look for caches in.

10-Jun-07
We attempted this cache on our NSW cache sweep however after a few minutes of finding disused syringe containers in the grass off the carpark we decided not to continue our search.

19-Apr-07
The muggle rellie kids wanted to find some more treasure, so we found ourselves here, in the dark, no logsheet or clues. Managed to have a torch, with almost flat batteries(after our efforts in Wagga a few days before)!
Actually managed to find, after keeping the 4 & 6 yearolds away from the grass!! Sharp that!!!
This definately won't be found too easily... Took us awhile, albeit in the dark.
Grabbed the clue TNSL
Thanks

Didn't take or need gloves or long pants. Found it after looking in a slightly different place and noticed a flash of plastic. Shouldn't be stumbled upon in a hurry.

17-Mar-07
The vegetation has grown enormously since the cache was placed about 6 months ago.

Forgot to take the co-ords with us but found the cache after a couple of mins searching. Left it poking out a bit to make the find easier. It is only a few metres into the bush but do wear long clothing and take a pair of thick gloves.

Hint may be revised to - "[next to flattened grass tree]".

Second failed attempt. The area is even flatter than before, and every 'grass tree' looks to have been crushed by people looking for the cache.

10-Mar-07
This is our second trip to this spot. Abandoned search for a second time after more grass cuts, getting attacked by ticks and a motley collection of glass and plastic bottles.

Watch the blade grass!
Took nothing

All the grass trees in the vicinity were flattened, too.

No luck on my last Monopoly cache for the day.

Future searchers, watch out for the sword grass. I found out the painful way it was more sensible to search using a stick rather than my hands. ouch[B)].

15-Feb-07
As luck would have it we turned up on a day when buses are replacing trains, at the front of the carpark was a marquee filled with people waiting for a bus, so more stealth than normal was required. Found the cache quite easily.
