Regretfully this is a cache that has succumbed to a vandal attack (the stealing of bronze plaques for scrap-metal money).
Once I had all the information it was a quick early morning find.
Pity someone thinks brass plaque's are better going to the scrap yard for a few dollars.
Google is a great thing, got the missing info.

We wanted to make this one our 550th milestone. But had to have a couple of visits to one particular spot, with a little help from Bald Ed before getting the smiley face.It pays to read carefully all plaque's.This was a most enjoyable Tour, even if we did do it in the Cachemobile.TN L a little Fish.TFTC
Yet another cache that has taken us to places in Christchurch that we had never been before. Nice spot (when the tide is in).
Had fun collecting the info during the week & today was the day!. Lovely clear sunny Chch winter's day and a lovely spot to find the cache. TFTC.
#1789 A bike would have been perfect but I don't have one here so I walked along the Avon from Porrit Park to Brighton collecting info on the way. My feet were killing me at the end so I went to where I was staying in Bexley to do the maths as I had got the wrong numbers on a couple of WP's. A mail to Ed sorted that out so I started the day with a quick walk over to the cache on what turned out to be the hottest day in Christchruch during this trip. TFTC DS8300
Biked around for this one with my son after New Year and got most of the answers but unfortunately missed one which happen to be the further-est one away. We were already late for a BBQ so decided to leave final for another day. I was working nearby so today is the day. The tour is certainly well named and is a pleasant ride through some interesting areas. TFTC
Been on our "to do" list way too long, but at last it is done. No sign of the TB that is meant to be in here. TFTC and the ride....
#679 (4/4 on a trip to East Chch). Started this one on a warm summers day 2 or 3 months back. Found the rest of the WPs today. WIth so many WPs, it's always nice when the numbers give you plausible coords, and it was an easy find. TFTC.
Nice to finish this one off, last find of the day. I didn't contribute much, just did the chauffeuring while StreetWalkerNZ nipped out of the car at each way point, then did the calculations. I did spot the cache first., though.
Very nice final location, just my second visit here, the first one was to find another, nearby cache.
TFTC.

Like most, I collected the answers over several trips (walked to the closest), and today I grabbed the final answer and headed for the cache. Even with muggles passing time nearby you can still search unnoticed, it helps to pull out a camera and pretend you're in a photo-taking mood. Enjoyed the snippets of local history along the way, and the final area is a gem. Many thanks. Left Jeep TB, took diabetes TB.
A bunch of waypoints collected here, collected there and finally a chance today to finish it off. It's been an interesting history lesson of the river over the times I've been here and a great spot for the final, a couple of kayaker's going up and down the river. TNLN Thanks.
A nice multi with straightforward questions, and an easily found cache. Sorry, we too did it by car - well it was 36 - 40 degrees! TFTC

Picked a random cache to do. HOW MANY WAYPIONTS? Well, it's not about the numbers at the moment, so why not. In town with the family for a few days, but sans l'velo, had to resort to l'auto. Had some degree of fear that at some stage I'd have to walk a long way to get the info as the track wasn't close to traditional roads, but that all turned out ok. At the end, the nerves surfaced - would the info be correct? Would my math stand up? Would the final coords appear to be sensible? Yes, Oui and Yahoo. Arrived at GZ with little daylight remaining to find a muggle having a ciggie break!! Sacre Blue!! Counting on one ciggie and not a pack, I waited it out in the bushes while giving Mrs B a quick update via phone. Cache found with clue as I didn't have a torch and things were getting a little dark by then. -TB. Thanks for the Tour.
Did the waypoints a couple of weeks ago but ran out of day (about the same time I realised I'd done something wrong). Came back after noticing that my maths was correct but I'd used the answer for x where w should be and got to the gz only to find a muggle sitting right there! He told me he was there to relax so I didn't try to out-wait him. Back for the third time and got lucky - no-ne around but a lone bagpiper on the opposite shore.

This is a big one had a great time finding all the clues. It is a relief to find that our maths is correct and our GPS led us right to the spot. Left a key ring. TFTC
Really enjoyed this hunt, as just new to paperless caching - what a bonus. Spent a while tracking down the clues, then delayed as sidetracked to another area, and another cache. Completed it all at the end of the day tho'. Lovely journey, and a great end point. TFTC
This was my last day of Mrs Tufty’s and my S. I. Tour and the last day for caching for a while down in this part of the country. This is my 90th cache for this trip.
The two grandsons each had a mate come along with my son and I on this final caching expedition. I had decided to do another big multi created by my big bro’, BaldEd. This one took us just over two hours to do in the car. I would read out the questions and let the kids go and find the answers. In places they also got a history lesson.
If this cache was set out the other way round, ie, going upstream, I could have sat in the car while sending the kids off on the own to get the answers.
In: Nil.
Out: Geocoin.
Cheers for the cache.

Did the WP collecting over a couple of sessions. Completed this evening and went straight to the final cache. A quick find in the end. A great little trip that I must do again. Well done Ed . Thanks. TNLN. Deserves to have more hits than it has over the last 6 mths.!!
Found cache without problem today. Enjoyed the nice bike tour 3 days ago (with 3 yr old on back and 7 yr old helping with finds) - thanks! Had to postpone the cache because last coordinates (TDA12) and formulae were cut off my printout!! Frustrating, but had a nice walk to final spot on a sunny evening today. TFTC!!
Yeah I finally found this cache today with a little help from BaldEd , I had some trouble with one of the waypoints so Iamglad to have this one behind me now, another great cache by BaldEd,cheers and many thanks,
I had made the mistake of using the information the GPS gave me rather than finding what I was meant to at one of the wpts and it took a couple of weeks to discover the mistake. The cache wasn't there anyway. A nice place for a cache and somewhere I have never been to before.
Thanks for the cache and the tour.
Thanks for the cache and the tour.
After reading that the cache was there it brought on more frustration so back we went! Managed to find it within minutes! How could we have missed it the first AND second times? Area was very peaceful today. TNLN TFTC
Went out on Saturday to visit all the waypoints, completed our ride then sat down to calculate the numbers. Went to what appeared to be the right spot but came up empty handed. Decided to recheck our maths when our heads had recovered and return another day for a search. Came back today but still could not find the cache The site does look promising though. Maybe we will have another go at some stage.
Thanks Eddie for filling in or day - thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
The baby swans at the final cache site are neat - a little bigger than ducks, but still following Mum everywhere.
Took a while to find the final - but we were obviously in the correct area. TFTC.

This seemed familiar somehow! - A pleasant trip, and no problems. It certainly was nice to arrive at the calculated spot, and realise immediately that it was 'the right spot'.
We can recommend the bakery just past TDA6!

The Flock TB didn't appear to be in the cache. Did M&A take it? Thanks.

Very enjoyable ride, I hadn't been on parts of this track before. Got one of the clues wrong at first, but soon worked out my mistake. Well done BaldEd

Took a few attempts to finish this cache: Bicycle puncture a few days ago (and I didn't have a repair kit with me). Trouble deciding what a "tread" was at wp5, so had to google earth to find one digit. But hey, got there in the end. Cheers Ed. - TB + lizard and fish.
Cache is in good condition. Took TB ROLLO, left nothing. Nice afternoon for a bike ride and the route was good. Had to do a detour as the GPS batteries went flat and had to buy some new ones. I missed the clue for B but a friendly resident helped me out when he thought I was lost. TFTC
PS - went back on 6/jan/2007 to drop off a TB as I took the one that was left.

After so much foul weather it was nice to get out this afternoon to hunt this cache down. Had a sense of deja vo following the route, even some of the way points where eerily familair. + Rollo TB, - protractor.
Very enjoyable ride. Wish I had time to do more of these. It'd be nice to have some up in Auckland, but it wouldn't be practicle (or safe!).

[We had a great day to do this as the nor'wester was our friend...in fact we should have built some sails as we wouldn't have needed to pedal most of the way. This is a great cache and a neat trail. Thanks for laying it on for us. Total trip from start to GZ was 3 hours as Claw and friend were with us. Took the geocoin and dropped in a drawing compass. TFTC. If you are taking small children along for a ride, you might like to decrypt the next bit.] We put a second vehicle near the last waypoint to take us back to the start as it was all into a very strong nor'west wind.
This was a long cycle ride for my legs, but my friend and I had a good play in the playground near the end. Then we had icecreams, so it was fun. My friend and I are going to share the great calculator we found. Thanks. Took the calculator and the little truck and left a carabiner clip, and a rubber.
Yes, thanks BaldEd for a great tour. I was waiting to do it with my son, but in the end I couldn't leave it any longer, as it was such a beautiful day out there by the river. Easy clues and an easy find - but I have to admit to guessing the wrong side of the river when aiming for the final - had to go back and around!!

1244. Thanks BaldEd for another great Tour - They are always interesting and well worth taking the time to go right round. Of course we had been to most of these places before but that didn't detract from the adventure today. We did it in two parts - before and after our hospital visit - so it was a good distraction.

I started this a couple of days ago but my batteries ran out halfway through and unbeknownst to me my spare rechargeables didn't have that much charge in them! So I came out today and found the final few waypoints. Getting to know this area reasonably well now that I live over this side of town. It helped I'd done the previous incarnation as well Thanks for another excuse to get out the bike Ed. Cheers Gav [940]
Kiwisean and dyl out hunting - we were sure we were real careful collecting the clues along the way but when we added them up and follow them it was obviously not the right place - will try to contact BadlEd to get some assistance, but if he reads this and contacts me that woudl be great as i know he has some pretty powerful spam filters operating on his email accoutn that stop emails getting through.
FTF And I did it all on my bike. My sister and I set out at 12.30pm and found the cache in a little under 2 hours including a refreshment break at the turn around. A beautiful day to be out cycling along the Avon at its spring best with only a hint of breeze. I had no problems finding the cache but then I couldn't find my sister as she went cycling on. Eventually found her waiting patiently further up the river. Left a 4x4 vehicle and took the train TB.
