Miss 17 doesn't really like flying, so after she did a whirlwind trip with her friend around parts of the South Island, she asked if I would drive from Christchurch to Dunedin to pick her up. She paid for petrol and accommodation, and said I could cache the whole way! Of course, I said. Cause what Geocachers wouldn't??On our way home to Christchurch today. Stopped for this one as I need the month/year combo for my grid. A nice walk along the beach while Miss 17 stayed in the car. To be fair she walked the 2,500 stairs on the Sealy Tarns track, so I'll let her rest for now. Thanks for the cache. All good here.
Walked at the beach and thought there might be good spot for a cache and we stand almost next to it. Thank you
Started out early as I'm on my way back today. Lovely peaceful beach walk with coconuts3. TFTC and taking us there.
Had a lovely beach walk this morning with busy paws. Great views to lighthouse and peninsula. We now go our separate ways. Thanks for this cache Bitsprayer.
Today I drove from Lake Tekapo to Dunedin and had a break here. To stretch my legs, I went in search of this cache. TFTC
One of those places o drive past regularly by never stop. A. It early today so decided to check out this beach. Pleasant walk on a warm day. Cache sitting happily in its spot. Thanks
Brilliant beach hence the fave point. I could spend all day on this coast. Today was sunny and breezy so the sand was snaking along in the wind looking amazing. Poor pinus was not looking very radiant! Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. We had a lovely walk along the beach, I've been meaning to do this one for ages. Fav point for the cache, walk and a lovely day.
Ms_KR and I are on a wee South Island break. A cruise today from Glenavy to Dunedin, with good conditions all day!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Container loophole in it..bird maybe... everything soaked but managed to write on a random page. Needs attention.
Driven past many times stopped for a pleasant walk 22 deg. Starting to spit.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a day in and around Moeraki, Shag Point and further south. The day started with a little rain early on, then ended with more, but in between we were lucky to have a dry day .
I'm not a beach walk person, but the sand was firm and there wasn't a cold wind blowing so it turned out to be a pleasant stroll. As others have reported, the cache is in a bad way with the lid off when we found it (the lid is cracked anyway). Took a photo of the contents as couldn't sign. Watch out for the barbed wire near GZ. TFTC.

#19211. We had a pleasant walk along the beach, and then had to find a route up the dunes, which wasn't too hard. The cache has seen better days, as have the tree it is at the base of. TFTC.
Quick and easy find but definitely needs maintenance - didn’t sign log. Intriguing to see clover growing through snail shells
Came out for a wee drive here to grab this cache as had my eye on this one for a while. Unfortunately the container needs replaced. The log was so wet I couldn’t even open it to sign. So here’s a pic as evidence. Then there was a snail in a tree! snail trails and snail shells all around and a massive spiderweb! I’m adding as a fav purely for the location and the feeling I got while I was here. I took a few moments to embrace the surroundings. So pleasant so peaceful. Little bit of Paradise. TFTC
Container a swimming pool. Log not signable. Ziploc no good. Needs some tic. Photo of logbook as proof.
A nice amble along the sand.
caching my way north until the gps batteries go flat.

Find with Celyn18 on 04.22.2018 during our travel in New Zealand, a beautiful country. Tftc
Last one for the day. Have been wanting to get this one but never have time for the walk. All good today tho. TFTC
Thanks my 1800 find wet log book can’t sign. A cold walk along the beach. The tide out which is good looks like it comes right up to the bank.
Easy to find with the sunset on the beach!

Impossible to write, it's too wet...

Cache container is cracked and log book wet. Sorry I didn’t have my caching things with me or would have replaced. Lovely walk along the beach
Nice to see this rather old cache still ticking along. A nice day for a walk along the beach and I could see where others had made their way up the sand dune. Nice to get up there without sand in my shoes. I forgot to take note of the spot so I was quite pleased to be able to find it to get down after signing the log.
Heading home from holiday with a few stops along the way of course! A lovely afternoon for a wee walk along the beach. Hint object has seen better days but made for an interesting photo. TFTC
i stopped at the rest area for a break and a nice walk along the beach for this cache. TFTC!
Stopped here on the way south early this afternoon and went for a very pleasant walk along the beach. Good accurate coordinates led me straight to the cache. All in good condition. I enjoyed this one, I'll give it a favourite point. Signed log, TFTC
Great cache, traded whistle with dice. Was here with my son during holiday. B and J from Belgium.
Quite a popular stopping off spot today. I followed two surfers down the beach. They kept looking back probably wondering why this mad woman was seemingly following them. The hint item was almost unrecognisable as part of its species. A very enjoyable interlude on the drive north today. TFTC # 10090
Heading home to Geraldine after a weekend in omakau. Perfect day for a walk along the beach nice quick find tftc
On our trip to the South we visited some locations on the road

Nice here and very quiet off site the usual ways. It is a lovely walk along the beach to get here.
I decided to leave my TB Franz here, because he has now a great view out to the sea.

Out having a couple of days camping with the family on the coast between Dunedin and Oamaru. Of course this gives me a chance to pick off a few caches along the way.
Nice spot for a dog walk...

We made a bit of a walk on the beach. We didn't love the dog of the camper which was next to us, as it was definitely not listening to their (young) owners. Great to do a bit more for a cache, then just park and grab.
Left a shell TB. Thought would be fitting great

Found it with Motoguzzi500.....nice walk but not much beach , the tide was right in.
Found while waiting for muffles to clear from nearby cache. Great to walk along the beach. TFTc.
A quick jog along the beach and a quick find, then a slower jog back as there was a good headwind.

The incoming waves kept us on the hop! Such a lot of sand built up here, and the high tide running nearly to the sand dune. Easily found. Thanks Bitsprayer.
Meant to stop here many times before- today was the day. A lovely short wander along the beach to a well-used geotrail. Tide coming in got us running a few times. With the sand dunes showing a bit of erosion, this might nto be one to do at high tide anymore. Picked up Moose TB (but why is a meerkat attached?).
What a great spot. I have been here many times without any other people on the beach. Remember to bring your camera.
As far as I could see I was the only person on this beautiful long beach - thanks for bringing me here [^] TFTC!!
Wow, great beach! We only wish we had our black lab with us for some fun. Had the whole place to ourselves. Cache in good shape. TFTH
Enjoyed our walk along the deserted beach. Beautiful spot - so close to the road, not that you would know it. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Have often seen campervans stopped along this stretch of beach, and this is the first time we've stopped and been onto the beach. Well worth the stop and most enjoyable wander along to the cache site. Found with debsnz
We have always thought the road would spoil the beach. The breakers cancelled out the cars. What place. TFTC
First stop on our way to the NZ Mega. Today we were early enough for the walk and it was time to stretch the legs anyway. Very windy today and high tide, a bit harder to go to GZ. TFTC
A blustery beach walk led to a find...Fido Rex appreciated the fresh air!
Took the required walk along the beach only to be confronted with a huge choice of likely trees !! Got it right 1st time.
On a caching trip with ingidayna to Oamaru and surrounds to get 1000 finds. A nice walk along the beach and then discovered a quicker way back. TFTC
the first of many to get 1000 caches TFTC found with wethreefourdices. found a quicker way back to car
A nice little stroll on the beach.
We past a seal guarding the cache
Nice place and happy to find less people there then near the Moeraki Boulders.
Out: TB

A really nice little beach walk – so unlike our West Coast beaches. We thought we knew where we were heading from quite some way off, and so it was. We took the route through & behind the dunes on the way back - there was quite a clear little track. TNLN TFTC
Tide on the incoming, so had to walk on the soft sand. Miss shortlegs couldn't keep up with Mr Long legs.
