Unfortunately we have been unable to find time to check this one out. Thanks to everyone who puzzled over this puzzle. Perhaps we may resurrect it in the future!

As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

It sounds like this one might have walked away. I hope to call by soon and check it out.

Enjoyed solving this puzzle. However a trip to the confirmed GZ revealed some fairly drastic trimming of the shrubbery in the area - it looks like a logging coup! Searched around for a while but didn't see the tape or find the cache. It may well be still there, possibly buried amongst the cuttings. Will return another day.

Finally! I really struggled with the puzzle, but eventually solved it once I swallowed my pride, and asked the owner for help. Then I got lost trying to find it and came across someones tent. Today, I got to Zero on the GPS, saw a piece of tape, and then found the cache. So simple... in hindsight

Found at the end of a lovely evening caching with Team Waldron. Excellent fun and great hide. The lady walking by looked at us two daggy blokes very suspiciously and that just added to the fun. Thanks for the cache.

Finally this one can be crossed off the list of previous dnf’s.

After telling Trail06 how hard the cache is to find, we walked along and the tape is clearly visible. The previous finder must have pulled off a few branches when they fell.

I sent Trail06 in to get the cache because I was still in my work clothes.

He got the cache and we signed the log and we decided to wait for some muggles to pass, one who happened to be female, young, and wearing short shorts. It wasn’t a good look because as soon as she passed we followed her, for a few metres before getting back to GZ. Her pace definitely quickened, but we had more important things to do, so she disappeared into the distance while the cache was replaced..

This cache caught my eye as I had a very similar idea for a puzzle cache myself. Needless to say I got wet after solving the puzzle, but with an 'hexadecimal' aid I quickly got the nod form the checker.
This afternoon I took the geokids and one of their fiends to the location in search of the silver tape. Once located our son was keen to make the discovery. However he lost his footing and grabbed the first branch to stop him from falling. Yes, you guessed it.... the silver tape now resides on a new branch. Oh well, that makes for good geocache stories. I had solved this puzzle ages ago but I never has a chance to visit till now. I was about to give up after a long search, then suddenly I saw duct tape and happily found the cache. I was a bit concerned about the vagrants but they were not there. Finally this one can be put to bed now.
Thanks Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin for the cache. Smile

Looked for quite a while but no tape, unfortunately there are a few tents and a lot of rubbish in the area, I'd be surprised if the new residents haven't found the cache themselves. I will return another time

01-Feb-10
I thought I had solved this first up ages ago but it turned out that I would be getting my feet very wet with that solution.
One of the drawbacks of living so far from Adelaide is that this cache was shelved for ages and I concentrated on others. When I saw that on this trip that I would be coming over this way again I gave it another go, applied some new logic to the solution and came up with good coords.
Still even after finding the duct tape the cache was another few minutes from being found. Not helped by a few vagrants sleeping rough some 10m from cache.

Thanks

Just couldn't seem to turn the cache up for this one. Had O'cholio on the phone guiding me, but couldn't get it. Didn't see the tape either. Hope I'm just blind and the cache is intact, but annoyed not to get it nonetheless.

This was the first puzzle cache I attempted when I first got into this crazy sport what feels like years ago.
Back then I was a fish out of water. With a big nudge from the owner the coords were found.
An extenive search of GZ back then failed to get me a cache and dampened my spirits a bit.
Back today armed with a fresh pair of eyes and 400 finds under the belt.
The silver tape was found within 30 secs of being at GZ and the cache not much after that!
It's good to have this one off the list.
Cheers to the penguins for the help back then and the cache today.
May there be many more.

walked the full area of this one--no tree with anything on it..nice walk though.

The Gangsters (The Rats, Big Matt & Shell, Farmer Frentzen and Steeba) found this cache as part of our record breaking run around Adelaide. This one took a bit of finding and a poke in the eye for Big Matt.

Thanks for being part of the hunt.

Found on Adelaide Invasion trip with The Rats, Big Matt and Shell and Farmer Frentzen.

This took a bit of research to solve and got 95% of the way there before a helping hand got us the other 5%. We spent a while looking at GZ and although we didn't find any tape Farmer Frentzen managed to dig up the cache. A nice puzzle. TFTC!

Yaaaahhhh... I finally spotted that elusive piece of tape and seconds later the cache [^]
Cant believe I spent so much time searching for this cache about 3m away Red Face
This has been a bit of a nemesis for me as well so it's great to finally tick it off the list.
Cheers Penguins, I suppose it was sort of fun!

Grabbed the Welsh geocoin tomove it a little further east.

While out and about in the neighbourhood this evening Winterdragon mentioned that this cache had eluded him a few weeks ago. Perhaps two sets of eyes might do the trick? We stolled past and Winterdragon spotted the tag before I'd even realised we were at the location. I kept watch for muggles while he went in for the find and a short time later this nemesis could be put to bed! A very enjoyable puzzle and a beautiful location, thanks for the effort in putting this together.

This time managed to spot the marker almost immediately - daylight does help, and a little luck doesn't go astray either... It felt good to finally put my hands on the well hidden cache - I'd been ready to exchange my semaphore flags for a white flag and surrender Smile.

Left welsh geocoin - Thanks Penguins!

23-Aug-09
Thanks for the puzzle Penguins - needed a nudge from a previous finder though! Found the cache, then found the string and duct tape. Cheers from Featherwaite.

23-Aug-09
I enjoyed the puzzle, very clever. I didn't enjoy not finding the cache or the marker. I think this might be a bit easier to spot during daylight...

23-Aug-09
No, believe me it's no easier to find in the daylight [xx(]

06-Jun-09
Worked out half of this a long time ago, but couldn't make the next step until I asked around at the puzzle night.
Very clever in so many ways [^]!
Spent 10 minutes looking for the markers and some more time finding the cache - well hidden.
Had no flags, so TNLNSL.
Thanks Nomad & Stealth Ninja Penguins - Well done Cool.

Someone contacted me about this cache last week but I've lost their email Red Face. Please contact me again and I'll reply. Sorry [8)].

02-Apr-09
We worked this out a while ago, with a slight nudge from the winged owners and have been here once to look for it but were totally muggled out on a hot summer's day. A further, unprompted nudge from the frozen ones gave us confirmation where the cache was and we finally came here today to collect. Found in between passing muggle walkers after a 10-minute search. Good hide and great puzzle, guys! TFTC.

31-Mar-09
The trouble with spontaneous caching is I only have the waypoint in the gps and no other details.

The clue would probably have helped but without it there were so many spots to look and not enough time to check them all.

Find 474 without a GPS at 9.30am
Friday The Thirteenth, Lucky For Some.
Removed another solved puzzle from the file.
Tried to find this one last month with no luck.
Rechecked the solution and got the same answer.
Today it was easy once I found the clue.

At first could not spot the item mentioned in the clue but she of the eagle eyes soon had it spotted and the cache was quickly in hand.
I was going to leave a GC but judging on the time between visits it may have sat here awhile.

We tried to find this cache on a very cold day about two weeks ago. We nearly froze trying all the different spots a cache might hide. Gave up on that occasion but today found the cache in a place I'm sure we had looked at last time. Took the travel bug. thanks Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin

Found the cache at 1.15pm. Lovely park area. Enjoyed work out the puzzle. Left: Koala Travel Bug. SL. Thanks Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin for organising the cache and hunt.

Found at 15:10. I didn't realise my flag knowledge was so poor. Took quite a while to find the cache too.
Thanks for an interesting puzzle.

Well, after procrastinating for ages on this one... I finally came up with a set of co-ords that looked good. So off we head....
3/4's of the way down the road I realise the co-ords have put gz in the sea.... bugger.
Never fear, I have optus shares!
1st call helped, 2nd call helped more, 3rd call got us on the money...
TNLNSL in the frequented by muggles park...
Thanks and sorry for not completely solving the end gz!

PS: Just a question, for a 'caching blitz' to be a record do all of the cachers in the group have to solve the puzzle?

12-Dec-07
Yes, we couldn't take the direct route here - rather a slight diversion was required to get to the cache. Cheers Gav [1458]

Kiwi Cache Raid: #61 @ 05:26. Nice puzzle! A few people already up and about at this early hour but didn't cause us any grief. I imagine that it qould get very busy here later on in the day - particularly on a nice day like this. Many thanks Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin.,,,,,,,,,

5:26 a.m. This cache was found on our record-breaking attempt to find the most caches in a 24 hours period; we ended up finding 195 all up.

Thanks to all the cachers who placed these interesting caches in Adelaide.

I only wish we could have spent more time appreciating the locations that we visited on our whistle stop tour.

Hmmm.....
I was sure I had this worked out and as I was in this part of the world today I called in for a search. Looked & looked but couldnt spot either the cache or the tape. Finally resorted to the call a friend option only to find out I was looking in the right location. Searched some more but still came up empty handed Sad I did find an old wallet, lots of rubbish, assorted drink containers and some toilet paper [xx(] but no cache!
Will keep an eye on the listing for a while I think.

Found at around 10.30am GAFF4. We were here the night before while waiting for our Chinese takeaway to be cooked, but could not find the cache even though we found the indicator. Today after speaking to A2YG we still had trouble in locating the cache, but as we were determined to locate it we persevered and after a lot of scrambling, we found the well concealed cache. Thanks Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin for a tough cache.

Repositioned in original hiding place.

Green flags again (but remember to swim between the red ones) Big Grin.

Eighty-fifth of 128 finds on "The Big Adelaide Assault" in company with acts2youthgroup and HawMorFords. I have a long-standing interest in flags, and have several books on the subject. However, Acts2YG beat me to the puzzle. However, the coordinates put us out to sea! Surprised We were sure we had the puzzle sussed, so we sent off to the icy, feathered ones for guidance. Then we understood the second hint. With confirmed coordinates in hand, we put this cache on the assault list. The puzzle was easy; finding the cache was not. The three of us searched the area, to no avail. We decrypted the third hint, and started looking for the item mentioned. It still took a while, but we managed it in the end. We found the cache at 1342, just before the ten-minute timer sounded. I made no exchange. Thanks to Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin for the cache. Cheers, dak.

Eighty-five of one hundred and twenty-eight cache finds on the "The Big Adelaide Assault" the cache was found at 13:22 in company with dak's Emu Mob and HawMorFords. This was an interesting puzzle and I had a little help from a friend on it. Wow this was hard to spot I saw some string and disregarded it I later returned and found what I should have been looking for. Love the rail track.

Thanks Nomad f Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin or the cache.

13:42 - Find #85 of 128 on our Big Day's Caching in the company of dak's Emu Mob and acts2youthgroup.

This was a tough one - there are so many likely hidey holes. After a few minutes we took a look at the hint but that didn't help either.

Finally, we spotted what the hint said we should see and cantered our search there. The cache was then found in short order.

Took Cache Hunters Geocoin.

Thanks to Nomad Penguin and Stealth Ninja Penguin for the cache.

13-Feb-07
Solved this awhile ago and then used this as an excuse for an evening walk.
Still had to phone a friend though. GPSr was putting us about 10 metres out. Still took us a long time to find the tape and twine!
Grabbed geocoin, left another geocoin.

Ahhhhhh finally we got it, we had the coordinates calculated before last weekend, then couldnt find it, I dont think I ever would have got it without the extra penguin hints. Dropped off an Australian flag (it wont be lonely in there) and a geocoin with lots of flags on it. Thanks Nomad for the cache and all your help. MODU.

Well Spike’s cure for sea sickness was sit under a tree. Appropriate for this cache. Searched long and hard for the correct curing tree.

Never did see the duct tape, even with the cache in hand. Look for the used and just excited prophylactics, and you know will be real close yourself to the prize. God knows why you would pick this spot. Talk about STD codes Big Grin

clear skies, TeamAstro.

Okay.

We CITO'ed two shopping bags of rubbish from the area near GZ.

We added some green twine to assist in locating the duct tape, and then some more green twine to assist in locating the first green twine Razz

So, no more sooking Big Grin

After considering the purchase of flippers when I calculated the coordinates for this one a little bird (penguin) pointed me closer to the beach and I set off to log a find. Unfortunately I found lots of hiding places and no cache. Does finding a hiding place count towards your numbers?
