My first WA ammo box cache and its in a lovely spot. Nice to see an original logbook too; the pages are all used although there is still room on some pages to add new logs. TFTC.
Another great adventure. Parked on the track walked 200m to gz. The silence was deafening here
Out and about again, a wet day so it was slow going.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

Exploring with B12 and after rechecking some old info I realise Im a little late to log this one TFTH, found date back dated
Completed an overnighter on the Bibbulmun Track, starting at Perth Hills Discovery Centre, and staying at the Helena Hut and returning the next day.
Part of my planning to hike the Stirling Ridge Walk was to overnight and test out some gear and work out what did and didn’t “work”.
The trip went well despite the severe weather warning, and major pockets of rain. Tested out some gear, packed a fair bit too much, which was great I got 2 dinners and still came back with food.
Next stage of the plan is to complete a multi day hike in the coming months.
We started at PHDC, and less than an hour later made it to Ball Creek, and met a E2E hiker before continuing on and making my way following the waugals to Helena.
A great time on the track and highly recommended for others to get out there.
Thanks for the cache.

I had an epic afternoon adventure on the mountain bike today picking up caches east and north of Mundaring Weir. My legs got a bit banged up by prickle bushes when it looked easier to cut through to another track. It wasn’t!!
A total of 20km of bike riding following mostly fire trails and a bit of the Bibb. Found some older caches and a lonely cache too. Last log was 2018!
This is probably one of the toughest caches I have ridden my bike to. The track I was on heading east disappeared and took me back to the powerlines when I was close. I found the track back into the hut from the south but then realised I still needed to bush bash. Cache was found in good condition. The cairn is still there and the teepee has held up too.

Cool spot! Love whoever made that teepee on the granite! Stole some supplies from this one to go save another nearby ammo tin cache that (and its contents) got incinerated in some fire. TFTC! Added to the pile
With noahharvey270 on an overnight hike at Ball Creek - great spot, thanks for bringing us here!
Thank you! After completing the nearby CPS series, I decided to backtrack and grab the three others in the area. This was the first up, and required quite a bit of bush bashing from where I was. Had read a previous log, and knew I was almost there when I saw the tee pee. A little further on I spotted the rock cairn, and the cache a moment later. Thanks for putting a cache here, I'd never have come here otherwise.
After completing the nearby CPS series, i couldn't possibly leave these two lonely Ball Creek icons out here could i [?]
After finding 'Ball Creek Hill', i made my way to this one, which included some pleasant (as far as bush-bashing goes) bush-bashing. I was happy to reach the rock, where i admired the views and the nearby teepee handiwork, took some photos, then began my search.
It took a little while longer than expected to track down, but i eventually had the beast in my grasp ... no thanks to the lack of rock cairn, and a non living grass tree
I added my name to the log, and rehid the cache before building a small cairn in the appropriate spot. For those that follow ... feel free to tidy it up and/or add to my hurried creation
TFTC Team Gunn Parker .. always a pleasure to find your out-of-the-way caches [^]

Nice spot to visit. Easy find but no rock cairn about it. Hint helped.
Took nothing but added some pre-decimal coins, 1923 penny & 1943 halfpenny to cache.

Found it while going to Helena Hut. Didn't know that this rock was here. Nice view. Took a short cut back to the track.
Thought this one was going to be by the hut but it wasn't. In fact it was quite away from the hut. Instead it was a stroll down the creek past a dry waterfall and onto some granite boulders. Beautiful spot in the early morning. My GPS almost ran out of battery which was annoying as I intended to do some other caches around her. TFTC Team_Gunn_Parker
Our first cache stop on our three day hike along the Bibbulmun track from Mundaring to Mt Dale.
Took a quick lunch at the Ball Creek Camp and set out to find this cache. After a short stop at the cutest waterfall we've seen, we trekked onward, following the gps to GZ. What we saw was breathtaking! coming out of the rainy season, everything was covered in the most amazingly green moss, we just wanted to set up camp there and be done with it! Curiosity got the better of us, though, and we continued the hunt for the cache. Can't say that we saw any cairn, though. However, the cache was found easily enough after looking around the area and spotting a few rocks just that little bit out of place.
Took a little ball-on-a-string toy, left an echidna.
Replaced the cache and set off back to the track after taking in the incredible view for a few more minutes.
Thanks for the Cache!

Out with iluvtrekking for a days caching in the hills. The boys volunteered to do the hard slog and completed most of the Mundaring CPS caches while us girls cached in the town itself. They then went on to do the two Ball Creek caches but as both were still suffering the effects of recent colds, they were a bit tuckered by their return to the car park and lunch.
This is a great walk and a beautiful part of the bush. Out with Kimakazi doing the CPS series in the area, 12km walked during the day and loved every step. TFTH
Love the Bibbulmun Track. Wonderful day out with Geobrother and family (Team Khaki) 12km walk all up. Life is good

Called in to the cache while completing the CPS series of caches in the Mundaring area. Its a beautiful area to go walking in and the weather was just perfect. Picked up the geocoin that has been sitting in the cache for a while. Thanks for the hunt and the cache.
Another fun camping trip with my sons
This time we have been inspired and hid our own cache

A nice spot. Not much sign of the cairn, though there was a group of 4 rocks, which I added to, and tried to make more 'cairn like'. I've been carrying around a GC that only wants to go to ammo tins, so I was pleased to drop it off, because after 50k it was beginning to feel heavy.
Thanks for the cache.

A friend and I set out for this, not using the track but bushed it all the way which was great fun. After finding the cache we "roughed it" and were lucky enough to come across the cabin we had planned on camping in a month or so ago, but got rained out. Beautiful spot and cant wait to get back there in the hope of camping.
Wanted to go looking for this one and camp but got really rained out about 5 weeks ago. Tried again today but had my dog and saw the signs re fox baits and decided against it. Hopefully it will be soon 3rd time lucky, really looking forward to camping there !
TFTC. Logged as part of a first overnight hike with kids and with Ozcrawf. T: Travelbug and coins, L:TB and plastic dinosaurs
I used the opportunity of taking my nephew on his first overnight hike to come and find this cache. Accompanied by most of the Benoro Dragons I had a pleasant walk in and after setting up camp and having a good cup of tea we set off to find the cache. A nice stroll from the campsite. TFTH and the excuse for an overnighter. T: TB, L: Nemo TB.
Found thus one with the Cambridge cubs while on a day hike. Took a spoon and left some masking tape.
Beautiful spot, beautiful day for a walk.
btw: That hint is what I really call a "hint" -- ie meaningful ! But no, we didn't need it
PS: We found the cache on 1 Jan 2010... but this website has not yet reached 2010. We'll update the year when we can. .... ** Done.

Demonstrating Geocaching to Scouts from Waylen Bay Sea Scouts on bib track hike. Thanks for the cache. A good example.
Having been away from Perth for the best part of 9 months, there we were...having a nice sleep in (7.00am) on our first morning back in town...
BANG BANG BANG on my caravan door!!..My brother-in-law.."Come on, get up, we are going for a walk on the Bib track!"
After a few "pleasantaries" were exchanged, and 2 cups of coffee consumed, it was off for a very enjoyable walk from the hills discovery centre to the cache..Really enjoyed the walk, and it was my muggle Brother in law who made the find, just to add injury to insult..lol
Took the GC to move along soon.

Loved the walk . Had a quick find at the end . would have loved to continue on to other caches nearby but I was alone and it was getting late in the day.Has inspired me to do more research into the Bibblumun. Thanks . TNLN
After camping out near Ball Creek Hut in my hammock Friday night, I set off Saturday to refind this cache.
I found it quite quickly and once I signed the log book I saw that it was almost two years ago that I found it the first time.
I found it without using my gps this time and took a few photos of the container and the area which I'll post soon.
I signed the log book and dropped in a geo-coin I have had too long.

Went for a late afternoon walk into Ball Creek hut for a sumptuous dinner with some friends, I took one of them with me for this find.
The cairn is no where to be found, so I couldn't add to it.
It took us both quite some time to find the Cache.
Thanks for the hunt Aushiker.
Took string of beads
Left small carabina.

Great area. Spent a little while searching but when we looked in the right spot it was easy. TNLNSL. TFTH. Didn't refer to the hints until we got home but I can't recall seeing the features mentioned and therefore we didn't make any additions.
Our next stop was 'Perfect Tee' (GC15D85) but the GPSr was pointing the opposite way to the Bibbulmun Track direction, so we made our own way there. This proved to be our undoing later when heading back, this time along the Bibbulmun Track. My gut feel told me that we could by-pass the Ball Creek offshoot and pick up the track to Mundaring further on. Wrong! We should have taken the first left turn and ignored the second. With GPSr batteries running out (and the spares back in the car!) all we knew from now on was that we should be heading west, but not how far, and of course the tracks didn't necessarily go west. Made it back eventually with the help of a few dying gasps from the GPSr.

First stop for the day, enjoyed the walk in, a nice day for a hike in the bush. Saw 10 people on the track (in 3 groups) on my way here. TNLN, thanks for the cache.
As per Everlasting’s note. We really enjoyed our hiking covering three caches in a one go. After logged Perfect Tee, and Destination Unknown caches, we returned to turn into Bib Track heading to the Ball Creek Hut via Perfect Tee cache area. Saw the different scenery of the ocean of the grass trees. Enjoyed hiking along the Bib Track. After a short rest at the hut, we went off to hunt the nearby cache and found it. The container is in an excellent condition. Returned to the hut to continue hiking along the Bib track returning to Hill Forest Centre. Thanks to Aushiker for bringing us to the enjoyable scenery, hiking and the cache.
Accompanying Varuna on a cache hunt: We decided to walk from the car park and found these three caches – “Destination Unknown, Perfect Tee and Ball Creek†It is took us a walk of 17 Km to find all three. It provided excellent views and when comparing the different between the south and north areas I noticed that the “North†have more grasstree and the “South†have more pine trees. There was also a beautiful view over the lake. We left car park at 9.30am and only return there at 5pm.
We have our lunch and a rest at “Destination Unknown†for one hour before moving on.
We really enjoyed the walk on the Bibblumun Track – So many more wildflowers etc.
Thanks to Aushiker for organise the cache and hunt.

3:50 p.m. The Ball Ck hut has long been a favourite of ours, and, before it was built, we would come to this creek for a peaceful afternoon in the bush. Great to come back for the purposes of caching! An easy find in a good spot, thanks again Aushiker. Took the Garfield tourist figure and left a U-bolt. T4TH
Found this cache with Gunn Parker, was a night find which made it a little more interesting.
Weekend hike out to Creek Ball campsite, then off to Helena and back, 22kms on the second day.
Will place this back out soon.

We wernt looking but we cant remember seeing a Geocoin in here. We hope it was just us missing seeing it.
We found the cache on the return walk from finding "Perfect Tee" cache. It took a while to locate it as it was well hidden and it was only after reading the clues that we were able to find it. The rocks nearby have a huge flourish of moss growing on them and almost looked like a TeleTubby land. The kids would love it.
We took nothing but added a Garfield toy. We went back to the hut and had a bit of a late lunch before heading back towards the Discovery centre. A few days walking this part of the Bib track would be great.

Found this morning after walking in from the forest centre, A nice spot for a cache just over a little creek which was just flowing.
Lots of places to look here but I found it ok, took nothing but left a coin.
I went back up to the hut and had morning tea and worked out a way to walk up to Rupert's trek.
Thanks

Had been down a nearby track a few weeks ago without realising this was here so knew how to get quite close from the E. Walked approx. 500 metres in. T:Barbie TB and found a "Green Man in the Vicinity"!!
Took to the hills for a bit of exercise and found Papa Bear had the same motivation. Alas the benefits of my exertions were perhaps countered by my indulgence at GZ. Perhaps I should have saved some of the wine, cheese and crackers for the Bear.
A very pleasant bushwalk along good quality trails.
Took: Small radio
Left: Monarch butterfly lapel pin and Paddyk Geocaching Down Under stamp
Picked Up : CKayak's Haughton's Hunters Geocoin

I needed some exercise, so this nearby 5km walk seemed ideal. Squire Paddyk and Lady Margaret had arrived before me to save me the effort of looking for the cache, but they'd unfortunately finished off the wine, cheese and crackers before I got there! (Good help is _so_ hard to find these days...)
We passed a pair of police horses on the way out, but little other wildlife. The blustery wind made it a pleasant walk on a warm day.
So that's my exercise for the week over!
