Cache not here and a string of DNF's suggest the CO ought to check on this, please.
Looked around but no luck in this area. Reading the other logs it appears that this one went walkabout.
A lovely rainy, muddy Saturday morning out hunting in Karawatha forest.
With all the rain, I didn't pull out the phone and read the logs till we were at GZ..... sad to see one go missing.
It was a great track for walking anyway, especially the bottom part of the loop along the boardwalk.

It's Freaky Friday again, and today I get to play with barbbowman While we were walking along this track, barbb found a small toy on the path, so we decided to drop by this one and place the toy back in the container. Both of us are previous finders, but as we reached GZ, we noticed the hiding spot has been broken apart and the container has gone missing The CO needs to check on this one.
out on a play date with IolantheK
tin man and i were dropped off at the local train station nice and early and made our way south to Park Road
now safely strapped into his seatbelt off we go to play

A real good search and spread out the search area from GZ. I used both the phone and the GPS and checked previous logs. I saw a few suspected places and several piles of rocks, but not a find here today.
Quick find. Down this way to hit my first major milestone of 1000. TFTC and the nice walk around this area

We enjoyed the walk through the forest today collecting some caches as we went.
Took TB to move along.

3 muggles were wondering why a sweaty old man was sitting in the bush. signing the log of course! Didn't hear them coming. All good, the cache was hidden. TFTC Nice find. out with team bad 4306 and flora
Lovely walk this arvo with jammo25 on the way during our walk we decided to do a cache. Nice spot, and we even scored a TB. TFTC
Local knowledge is not good, this was to be an easy one but after Rusty85 had her idea of where, I decided no maybe??? and yep soon had cache in hand, signed and home again to sit on veranda and talk about our last few caches. TFTC
Our first visit on the bikes to Karawatha forest. Exploring the trails and finding a few caches on the way. This was our 6th and last for the day. Definitely went round this circuit the wrong way. Great trails, we'll be back. TFTC
Dragged the kids up the hill and realised there was a track above us. Lots of fun.

Geo hubby went and found on his own, while geo kids and i were eating chips...lol..exciting find for geo hubby...
Nice walk out here to find this cache...a bit of a trek up the hill though, but a bit of exertion never hurt anybody A fairly easy find once you get there. I retrieved the TB and left a TB to continue on its travels. TFTC.
Tftc spent a while looking and realised how easy it was when we found it. Dropped TB
Out and about with OrionJ today and this was a quick find in the lovely Karawatha Forest.
We spotted wallabies, a good sized dragon up a tree, many birds and a juvenile brown snake
Dropped a dedication TB, to visit the koalas here! If you pick it up please read its mission!
On we walked...

Walking on from Poets Rock this one was the next stop, took a kind of direct route here and was not to difficult to find.
This really is a nice large piece of bush land that makes for some good walking.

Dropped in to pick up the kadian dog tags. I will drop It off on the sunshine coast this weekend, a step closer to the great barrier reef
Found with the geokids this morning. One grabbed the ear rings and the other the juggling ball. Added was a ink stamp and dinosaur. Great cache and in excellent condition.
Great day to test out the new mountain bikes and pick up a few of those more widespread caches in Karawatha Forest. Having started late today this had to be the last cache for the day. While I made a quick detour into the forest to grab the cache my partner had to try and explain to a passing birdwatcher walking the track what I was up to - rock hunting perhaps
Another big well maintained ammo can - everything nice and dry. Number five for the day.

No idea what AHTAWARAK sounds like, but we didn't hear one calling today.
On such a beautiful day we enjoyed the walk. Cache was very easy to find and all is in good condition, but the journey there was most enjoyable.

We parked at the Illaweena Rd Reserve with the prime purpose of getting Queens land as this has been on our target list for a while due to its age. While we where there we went and found a few more in the reserve.
Parts of the wild track was closed but we got around that and soon found a well worn track to GZ where we made an easy find. We soaked up the environment of the first Qld hide and great to see the location still going. We signed teh log and re hid. TN LN TFTC.
Next was Queens land 10th Anniversary Cache so we just followed the track round to the intersection near the lagoons and then on to GZ. A bit of a search and we found the hide and signed the log. TFTC
From here its was up to Poets Rock for another find. We left the track and soon made the find. SL and re hid. TFTC.
Next we cut across to the way point to Top of Rise and saw a number of young Roos. We could certainly hear the motorway and dropped off the side of the track to make the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. Just near GZ we saw a good sized goanna. TFTC.
With time running AHTAWARAK Calling was teh last on our cache run fo rthe area. We took the side track and weaved around to the cache to find a slightly different hide to the rest and another good ammo can. SL TN LN. TFTC

Been meaning to get to this area ever since I started caching and decided to do it today. Nice easy one to start with, quickly found and on to the next one. TFTC
Up North for a Birthday Geocaching afternoon with our friends "Allofus7" who have just got into Caching.
Their Geo Mum had a birthday a couple of weeks ago and we had to postpone her actual day caching to today.
Karawatha was the area of choice, by her, so we headed down the bottom end as we had been delayed and didn't have enough time to go round the top circuit.
We could hear this one calling from the carpark so we headed here first.
The 4 of us and 6 of them made a formitable force but the Forest was big enough to muffle the sounds of all the feet etc.
We headed up the hill when we got close to GZ and all 20 eyes started the search, the poor cache didn't have a chance.
Eagle eyes Geo youngest girl was spot on the money as she exclaimed "I found it".
With lots of children with us the contents was an exciting event, all was checked out and swaps made.
Cache was safe and dry and rehidden appropriately.
Thanks Nosugrefs TFTC SL TSLS

Found this one without any problems. My son took the bouncy ball and left a whistle. Thanks
Followed the path to where we needed to be and then a short bush bash and soon had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced.

We took the geokids & pram out for a bushwalk on this beautiful Autumn afternoon. I'm glad we made the effort too. A beautiful location, beautiful day, and some smileys . We took the nest approach I think to this one given there were more stairs down for the 3-wheeler pram than up .
Got as close as we could on the approach then geomummy hit the downhill slope to the cache. Geokid 3 then had to come along to trade toys, but needed to hold someone's hand so I grabbed geokid 1 in my arms, held geokids 3's hand down the hill & off we went.
A quick find, though a little longer to dissemble the hidey hole. The kids did their trades, we signed the log and re-assembled the hhidey hole. Thanks for the cache Nosugrefs. A perfect day to attempt this one.

6th of 13 caches today. Found 12 on foot during a 17km walk/run in exactly 4 hours (including time to hunt an sign logs). Used motorbike to get closer to cache #12 because it was outside the park.
Thank you for bringing me to this delightful bushland reserve. It's fantastic.
TNLN. TFTC.
I wonder whether I bumped into PJATPAC while I was out. Were you the group with the kids coming back from the lake? Or the group walking the dogs who were coming into the bush just after I signed the cache? You hadn't yet signed it when I found it.
That means there were at least 4 groups of gecachers at Karawatha today. Me, Sheehy, PJATPAC and another group I saw signed some other logs (3en/Wombat).

Looked more like a head stone than a cache hiddey place loved it , love the forest & the cache a favourite to you for bringing us there & your effort TFTC cheers
Last cache for the day whilst out with Iolanthek. This was a nice walk though I feel like we found a long way in and a shorter way out. As always. Thanks for the cache
Out and about today with Net88, to get "Queens land" and the 10th Anniversary caches. Back at the carpark we took a rest at a nearby picnic table while we worked out which other cache we could fit in before we needed to make the big trek to home on the northside. This one was closest, so we made our way there. Bit of a hill to GZ, but an easy find. Certainly no need for a hint TFTC, Nosugrefs.
Last one for the day... what a beautiful area this is... I have been planning on coming here for a while but had never actually been here... what a lovely place... very much enjoyed doing this one... we did the lap of this 1km track and enjoyed every step It would seem we took the longer/harder route into GZ though as we realised when we passed by the easier entry point
Cache was easy to locate and once again we loved the container
thanks again Nosugrefs

Out for a really big day caching with Censations in Karawatha forest. Over the course of 15 and a half hours we managed about 25kms on foot (17 within Karawatha forest bounds), 42 caches and NO DNFs - gotta be happy about that. Legs are tired now, but what better way to keep fit?
For those playing at home the number of caches found has in fact increased by one which is a reflection of the fact I cannot count. And Censations can, thankfully.
We arrived at the parking area not far from this cache and were a little disconcerted to see an Ambulance pulled up, lights-a-flashing, and then a fire-engine pulled up with sirens going and lights flashing as well. A surreptitious look and it would seem whatever they were here for was happening in the carpark. Possibly a snake bite? No idea what a fire engine was here for though. Having just had a close-encounter with a black snake at the previous cache we're thinking bite time!
This cache was hidden in a completely non-suspicious manner (ha), which made it fairly easy to find although we wandered straight past it at first. We left it properly hidden, and a little less obvious we hope. Thanks for another lovely hide, and again a great spot.

Trekking with Pprime. Cache No.8 for the day. Yay! As Pprime mentioned, the parking lot near this cache had ambulance and fire trucks pulling in. Paramedic was talking to a shirtless man from what I can remember but I'm still curious as to why the fire trucks were here. Oh wells. Found the cache and we were on our way to the next. Thanks Nosugrefs for a great cache.
