Drove out to replace this one after the reports that it was wet. We have decided to remove this one due to what we found when we arrived. Fresh animal skins and a obvious injecting zone. Not the nicest place to take the family.

05-Jul-12
Will be replacing hide due to damage over the next week. Look forward to having it up and running shortly.

03-Jul-12
Found but logbook was saturated so couldnt write in it ( as others have noted...). Not the most waterproof container IMO.....

20-May-12
Cache was exposed and easy to see. Appears to have been damaged as there is a hole in the lid and it was very wet. Everything soaked. Good location.

20-May-12
In need of maintenance, was wet and damaged. Unable to sign the log. TFTC.

16-May-12
As the previous finders said, the log was so wet that they couldn't sign it. Took a photo of the cache to prove our visit. Will attach pic when Mr. Lost Wanderer uploads it.

16-May-12
Day 19 of a streak, Coruze cache number 20 and it's Mr. Lost Wanderers birthday Big Grin Nice walk on an evening that was a bit chilly. Little Miss 2 walked the whole way there and back all by herself. Thanks for the cache.

22-Apr-12
Nice quick find with MrsChops (who had found it previously).

Container was very wet though after the recent rains. I drained the container and put the log in a new, dry plastic bag, but it is soaked unfortunately and I fear may be ruined. I could not sign it as it was so wet, but I left a Tweety Tin there as proof I had been.

Also collected the 2 cent TB to move on.

Thanks for the cache!

Found today, nice walk.

15-Apr-12
Pretty stream. Walk was good. Dropped off The two cent traveller travel bug. TFTC TN.

15-Apr-12
I've made a mistake. I accidently logged that we had dropped off The Two Cent Traveller travel bug at "Everyone loves a TB" when, in fact, we dropped it off at this cache. My apologies. (I must have been having a ditzy day as, although, we filled in the log sheet we forgot to sign our names.

10-Apr-12
Nice easy one and now I know that my GPS isnt that accurate!

4614 + 529 = 5143. Found during OZ MEGA Albury Wodonga 2012 !

Teamed up with McPhan and Sol de Lune for a few more finds before they headed home. We puffed up the hill where McPhan did the honours !! Thanks Coruze !!

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

09-Apr-12
Edit Log as I mixed up my finds.......

A short sharp walk up the hill and then a climb up the embankment and over to GZ were McPhan pulled the rabbit of the hat.

Thanks Coruze for another cache....this time with the right log..

**late log** You know how when you clean out the garage or are packing to shift houses you find something you didn't realise you had been missing and you think "that's where that has been"? Yeah well that happens to me when I clean out hard drives after finalisation of my Australian citizenship. I do remember the caching trips, though, and in this case it was a day of caching while at the Oz Mega Albury Wodonga and a carload of us went out to cache: Liz & Bruce, Skippy, Mrs Flipper and myself. Its the best kind of caching -- with friends. Lots of laughter and fun. Your cache was one of the many we did that day, thanks for placing it and keeping it maintained for us to find over the Easter long weekend. Cheers, Semik

07-Apr-12
Mrs. Flipper spent a nice day out with Skippy, SEMIK, Liz&Bruce while Mr. Flipper was off playing with Steam engines. We had a fun day out collecting caches whilst visiting the area for the OZ Mega.

#530 found during the OZ Mega event. Today was only a lazy day as wanted to capture trackables and do the meeting and greeting around the registration area so caching was only going to be 4 hours long today and yeilded 11 for the day on this my 160th day of caching in a row.

11 of 11 found on my way back to the GA pathtag event at the Mega. This was the last cache for the day and I didn't want to go by and have to come back to this on so made the stop for what looked like a quick snatch and grab. After the short climb to the cache I realised that the area was a little more rugged than expected so it was time to find this well hidden cache. The accuracy problem reared it head just when I needed it not too. It showed me 4M at cache after signing the log. Well will be arriving at pathtag event a little late.

Thanks Coruze for a wonderful tranquil spot to cache.

07-Apr-12
Another interesting day during oz mega while caching with friends SEMIK, Skippy and Flipper. There was plenty of healthy discussion about what cache we should go to next but we worked it out and visited many great caches including this one. Nice one and a good hide. Thanks coruze

06-Apr-12
A beautiful location to start today’s caching. We had an echidna walk along the track just in front of us. A nice hide, TNLN thanks.

20th for OzMega today. 27th all up. Not a bad adventure. Tftc.

Still out and about as we have a target to achieve before we head to the MEGA. Found this one after a search in the fading light TFTC.

Heading home on the back roads today after working in Wodonga. Quickly dashed up the hill to grab this one as time and petrol was running out. TFTC, very pretty spot.

Quick little jaunt to retrieve this one before picking kids up from school. Track is in a bit of a state with a couple of trees down across it but all good. SL about 3pm. TNLN. TFTC Coruze.

Another beautiful place I would not have experienced if it weren't for the encouragement of DJ Rascal and of course the lure of a cache. Thanks Very Happy

Great Cache
Found a little wet dried log signed then resealed may need another zip-lock bag

27-Mar-11
A quick walk up the hill and log book was in hand. Nice stream at car park

27-Mar-11
Well, Rojentil duped me on this one. I thought we were heading for the pub, not another cache! Put my ignorance down to my lack of knowledge of Wodonga. After a short stroll cache was in hand and log booked signed. Nice location. Yet another one of those places geocaching takes you to that you do not expect. TFTC

16-Jan-11
Found by Geodad. Great place! Looks like the rain caused some problems with the road getting in from the Wodonga side, but we were able to do it in the GeoMagna! TNLN SL TFTC

Decided to do this one today after running some errands. Nice easy find after a nice little walk. There were some boys across the road doing some 4wd driving up some pretty wicked steep tracks which proved amusing for a while. TNLN TFTC

Twisted Last find for the day and GeoDad decided to sit this one out so off GeoMum went with GeoLad up the hill on the wrong path!! Out & about today to cross a few of the local caches off our 'to-do' & this was first! Big Ez grabbed this one solo after a quick walk up the track on a cold foggy morning.
Another place we never knew was here, we will be back to take a walk further along the track another day.
TOOK: Squash Ball

TFTC SL. Thanx for bringing us here.

Albury 10. A great area. I did not see the walking track on the way up and went up the old fire track. When I got to GZ, a field of rocks, with a GPS affecting tree cover, made for a lengthy search. After a lot of close examination of rock piles I eventually found the right one. Thanks.

Etrex H took me to the exact spot, while much more expensive eXplorist was pointing 11m north. From where I was standing, contemplainting the reason for the difference, I could see the top off the cache. I let GEO Jnr hunt around until he literally stumbled upon it. We had fun getting here too. Rode the bike's to the gate, the boy on 16" BMX while I was on 20" BMX. Wasn't to bad until the first serious hill, the boy had no hope. With his bike slung over my handle bars it wasn't long before gravity overcame my weight on the pedals being able to transmit the motion through the high gear ratio. Definately need a mountain bike with the low ratio gears to be able to pedal up that incline. Not to mention a heart and breathing rate well into the holy crap range. after that wasn't too bad. the gate to the track is at the bottom of where the road makes its next insane uphill.

I found the "right" car park after driving up that incredibly steep hill & then coming back down again. A short stroll to the cache & all was fine. Would have been interesting to see where the walk went but it was way to hot to investigate. Thanks.

A: ALWAYS MARK YOUR CARS LOCATION IN THE GPS!

B: ALWAYS CHECK THE WEATHER BEFORE LEAVING!

C: ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK THE LOCATION OF THE ROADS AND THE CACHE ON THE MAP.

However, after a horrible start, we got back to the car and regrouped and realised we had parked the car about 3/4 of a km too soon.
After finding the right "carpark" further up the road, the cache wasn't that hard to find. Which made our first attempt even more annoying.

But, after some thought I managed to put a romantic edge to it...

I went bushwalking in the rain with my partner on Valentines Day and saw an echidna (and ALOT of goldern orb spiders.)
While most people would have sat at home and been borring sods! : ) The point is we found it!.

I don't wanna talk about it.

14-Feb-10
Found at 5.20pm. Thought we were going to be in for a bit of a walk however we found the right car park Wink and it was a nice stroll into GZ. Just as we were about to crack open the cache container the heavens decided to let rip..... and didn't it what!!!! Like wet shags, we hightailed it back to the GeoTriton to log our find whilst dripping wet and trying to keep the paperwork dry (note to selves.....put a towel in the caching backpack!!). We were able to remain "incognito" as it wasn't long before the windows of the GeoTriton were so fogged up no-one could see in - not that there was too many muggles around. Dad had the job of hiking back up to GZ to replace the cache.

Took: Tassie Tag TB
Left: Belted Kingfisher GC

TFTC - now to go home and dry ourselves off Big Grin

21-Nov-09
Have been putting this one off for a while with the hot weather.
A nice cool drizly day gave the perfect oportunity to grab some "walking" caches in the area.
A quick stroll up the hill to GZ with 'the mangoes' and the find was made.
Log book a bit damp.
Perhaps a replacement container is in order?
Cheers Grog monster.

Nice quick trip out the road and a short stroll made another cache to tick off the list. Dropped off the Tassie TB.

Easily found this one.
Not easy on the legs on a pushie. Lovely spot.

19-Sep-09
Quick find after locating GZ. The eTrex took us right to the spot. Cache container had water inside, everything was damp including log book. It was sealed properly from last find, design simply is not waterproof. Needs maintenance. Hint: Enter via small gate, not the large one. Follow track.

2nd time lucky, found it! We bought a better GPS, and waited until it arrived before taking a second attempt at this. Found it no problem! Found a skull shaped ring on the ground at the cache. Not sure if it fell out of the cache when we opened it, or someone had dropped it. Either way, we popped it into the cache!

08-Mar-09
With no finds for awhile and 2 DNF'S at the last 2,we still decided to challenge the uphill climb on a hot day .After a 5 minute search we expanded our search area and were rewarded with the well positioned cache. We thought the area was ok,didnt see too much rubbish.all in all, a nice cache and nice reserve just out of suburbia.TNLN.

Nice area, didnt even know it existed. Couldnt find the cache though!

Searched and searched, but couldnt find it. Suspect our GPS just not accurate enough, and too many possibly hiding places. Nice spot though, will aim to come back better equipped!

Can not belive this park is still not used, seems a shme it is in disrepair,.................Council Bull Shit no doubt closed it, only after such a recent time of being opened.

Managed to push the bike up most of the hills to this find( the road part sorry) Found a Traveler. Because we are heading off on an O/S trip I've taken the traveller and you should see it appear in about 2 weeks. I hope it doesn's suffer air sickness. The biro has seen better days unfortunatly. Left cable ties. Thanks GM. allancodan

A nice short walk part of the way up the hill, and an easy find. We wondered on the way down if anyone has actually gone to the top, or only as far as the cache Smile
Thanks, Robmc.

10-Mar-08
Been through this road many times when we lived in the area but never stopped here before. I wonder if the track was here 12 or 13 years ago anyway. We discussed the likelyhood of anyone other than cachers coming here and think it's not likely but of course we may be wrong. I'm sure like most of the hills around here the views from the top would be worth it but we need a cache to send us there. Hint hint.
Thanks indeed

I learnt a great lesson in planning today. Heading back from Baranduda, I decided to track this down on a whim and didn't check. I still use paper and had written nothing but the coordinates about 3 weeks ago so i headed up huon creek road, which seemed to be a great choice from the gps (not a navigator). It kept getting closer until at about 2.5kms it became apparent that it was in the next valley Red Face
So, I'm coming back, better prepared, and heading up Fell Timber Creek Rd Wink - Cheers Grog Monster

Seeing that we could not get near Yes Minister we found this one instead. Armed with our torches we headed up the track and groaned when we saw where we had to search and it wasn't the rocks that were the problem it was the BIG BLACK HAIRY SPIDERS sitting on them that needed to be removed before the search could even begin. Once they were sorted the cache was found after a short search, and we left so the spiders could reclaim the container.
Thanks Team Grog Monster,
