Found on a very cold & windy day, but at least there was no one else around. TFTC
#221. Had a crack at this a few weeks ago. We got the answers to the questions and were on our way to the micro when the skies opened up on us. The weather was great today, we found the coords for the final in a couple of minutes and off we went. Like others, I am concerned with the 'longevity' of the cache in relation to the amount of landscaping that is going on up there. SL, TFTC. -glass stone, -bear, +spinning top, +spikey ball.
Wet day. Enjoyed finding it and then hiding it again while fellow GC's continued their search.
Had found WP1 a few weeks back, so keen to nail the cache today. Mr cadhakla thought it was very amusing that he could find the cache, sign the log, and rehide the cache while the rest of the two teams were still looking for the cache! A very nice hide, and hopefully remains undisturbed with the current work in the area. TFTC
Really enjoyed this two part cache. Excellent puzzle for the kids and made it very exciting. The cache itself is wet inside and needs some maintenance, the area around the cache has had some changes that may require looking at by the owner to decide whether it needs to be moved due to the changes. Took trackable item (wrench) left a few bits and bobs from the kids collection of knik knax. TFTC
Pretty cold out today but nice walk none the less. The hint led us straight to the microcache but answered the questions for the coordinates anyway. The main cache location isn't in pristine condition and the clue is destroyed which made us question whether the cache was still present. After plenty of hunting (being overgrown didn't help) managed to find it. Isn't far from where the hint suggests.
Located WP 1 with out any trouble. Had to search longer than I expected at the final location, But found ok. Fun cache, things still a desolute looking at GZ. TNLN SL TFTC

Enjoyed this one. Nice walk up through the bush with good views at the top. Easy find even though the thingy mentioned in the clue has been vandalised and broken down. TFTC.
I really enjoyed this cache. Thanks, Zebedy. It is a shame that the Council hasn't yet done anything about the vandalism at GZ.
Oh well second time around and second time lucky, got an email from the owner as to where it was hidden and decided that I had better get this one out of the way, got to the final GZ and found it within seconds as it was a little bit exposed so managed to hide it back into it lovely little home, This is a great multi, and was great to get this one out of the way, TFTC TNLNSL (592)

We look up down all around the final GZ but no luck this visit, will come back and have another go some other time, funny that I was just walking past this spot the other day doing another cache and didn’t know this was here, never mind, will be back.
Have checked cache - still ok although the landscape looks a little different now. The sign referred to in the clue has dissappeared but coords still good.
Thanks to Leaf-Off for advice about not being able to find the cache. We'll temporarily disable it until we have had a chance to check it out.

Great fun! Located the micro-cache then headed off to GZ. BTW, only one "clue slip" left in the micro-cache so returned after use for the next cacher. The main cache had us scratching our heads (and hands!) for a bit but the clue helped immensely - Very well hidden! TFTC

Fun! Had to be all stealth as lots of people around. Took the bug, will move on shortly.
Found without a problem on a hot sunny Waitangi Day. It was great to see heaps of people out being active. Apart from the play area I also got to see kilikiti, touch, petanque, shooting and heaps of kids enjoying the mountain bike trails.

22: That was the first cache that we (Ryanja + myself + friends) did of a few in Upper Hutt. It is a really nice one, we also found the "mount" for the container with the final coordinates very special At the end our littlest friend (2.5yrs) discovered his love for treasure hunting The final cache is hidden at a pretty spot, TFTC

Found this one with Bluecase and his friends Merle and Liam.
We had a lot of fun with this one, and thought the first WP was a great little hide.
Found another cache on our way up to the final....

Very cool and fun multi-cache. Especially loved the hidden site of the micro-cache! ) The final cache site was a little trickier! Left a snow globe paperweight.
Thanks for a fun cache. Really enjoyed it!

Enjoyed the bush walk with Chaucey.
We enjoyed all the caches we visited in a 15 day period and where pleased with the location and the size of the hides. Managed to find at least 1 cache a day and given we have a small baby that is pretty good.

Found this cache with Ridders76 and with my year old baby.
We then carried on up the hill.
I must return soon to let Bevan have a go on the play equipment, the park is quite well stocked with equipment.

Needed to stretch the legs on a drizzly day. Found our way to first point but vandals have attacked the hiding place and so the container is a bit more visable (owner might want to check this out). Clever cache, enjoyed the walk. - TB
Second of four finds today. We'd found another cache up that way and gone right up the track, and stood right in front of where the cache was hidden. We went back to the car to input coordinates for next cache, and realised how close by it was! Microcache was well hidden, took us quite a while to find, and feared it wasn't there! Best find of the day

please be aware that the track marked in red on the signs is a downhill track, for going down on a bike only. you dont want to be going up as you could get severely injured.
Finally finished off part 2 of this cache as last time we ran out of time. Great spot on yet another great Wellington day!

Added some more coordinate sheets to the micro, and moved it slightly, putting it in a purpose built 'holder' about 50cm from the origional spot. Hopefully this will help to keep muggles at bay.
big problem as i was going to show my dad this wonderfull cache we found the co-ordanate slips everywhere, we eventualy found the film canister and replaced it, but i think that muggles know where it is...[:(!]
Thanks for the info, and for putting the micro sheets back. We will see what happens over the next couple of days and will look at relocating the micro at the weekend.
Cheers

Really enjoyed this cache. The playground was very busy so no-one noticed two oldies wandering around counting. Soon found the micro and the walk up through the bush finding GCZCEE on the way. Great views from the top.

An interesting cache. Great to have to use ones grey matter to sort out the clues. It was doing the usual thing when we reached this cache.............raining, raining and more rain!!!! Does it ever do anything else in NZ???? Lots of muggles riding BMX bikes down the trax and they were being picked up at the bottom end by an allocated driver. Certainly must have had a nice slippery ride in the rain. Great place for bush walking.
