10-Apr-10
On annual leave, will repair this week.

22-Feb-10
i agree it really needs attention. co-ords aren't thee anymore. great hide nonetheless Smile

25-Nov-09
Visited Mt Barker today with youngest geo grandson and located tag at WP1 .
Unfortunately needs attention as no co-ordinates on the tag.
Good place to hide but needs to be looked at as I can not go any further in this multi.
Look forward to completing in future.

30-Sep-09
Completed this one over 2 days. The climb up the railway cutting looked a little daunting, so we came from the Railway Place side. As noted previously the 2nd WP was a bit damaged but still readable. Great view of the train station.
TNLNSL
Cheers & TFTC!

We cleaned up a fair bit of Barker today, but when I went to my maps, this was still there. It didn't come up in the GPS because M had apparently found it a year ago. But he hadn't. He chose the wrong log type. Ha! One back to me in my futile efforts to catch him up.

Seems we haven't cleaned Barker up now after all...

Found the pieces of WP1 easily on the first try, when they say multi cache don’t they mean multiple waypoints, not each waypoint in multiple pieces?
Headed over to WP2 but the rain was too heavy so gave up. Second attempt on WP2 was a failure due to being on a time limit before work, workers arriving and parking their cars next to me and more rain and torch batteries going flat.
Phoned up Team Ermalesh for conformation after work, discovered that I had spotted WP2 this morning but didn’t think a piece rubbish was it, as WP2 tag was also falling apart. Manage to read the final co-ords from what was left of WP2 and headed off.
Once I got to GZ and was about to retrieve the cache my phone rang with Ermy on the other end telling me that trying to hide in the bushes with a bright fluoro yellow shirt on does not work. He had come to ‘Meet me at the station’ and check up on the first 2 WP that needed repairing.

Took TB left nothing
Thanks for the tour of the station

09-Apr-09
After almost giving up 3 times and going back to wp2 twice to check the coordinates we finally found it nice spot coords at wp1 and wp2 will need replacing fairly soon thankyou again

04-Apr-09
This cache was a highlight in my day [^][^].
Waypoints were quickly found, even though they are badly deteriorated (I would expect them to go missing in the near future). Enjoyed looking around the equipment at WP2 and the outlook from GZ was excellent.
TN. Left 'Play in the Mud' TB. SL.
Thanks for this one too Team Ermalesh Cool.

08-Mar-09
Thanks for the cache. Our geokids really liked the hut.

17-Jan-09
Not even a police patrol or the lingering presence of a homeless guy was enough to deter O'Cholio as they hunted the waypoints then clambered up and down then up again, only to invoke 'Quitter's Luck' and come across the cache while walking away! Good spot, especially today as no trains were running. TFTC.

03-Jan-09
We were determined not to let this one get the better of us, WP1 took a bit of searching, WP2 took even more - but spied it eventually, GZ was fun to get to Big Grin

Took Mask, Left Lizard SL

16-Nov-08
Wandered around but no luck- GPS was having problems settling. We were also a bit unsure exactly what we were looking for, we are new to this business. As we finished a new team arrived - we hope they were more successful.

16-Nov-08
One of the more difficult multicaches that I have attempted. Found what i think was WP1 and WP2 but lost to where GZ is. I'll have to give it another crack in the next few weks.

Geoson was quite happy with finding "someone else geo-caching" who I'm guessing was Wandering Shebuss, might catch you again at another cache Smile

30-Aug-08
This one was tricky TFTC Smile

08-Jul-08
wondered around, but it was too busy today to be able to have a good search for the final spot, so shall return another shot

30-Jun-08
Found this cache with froghoppin and have since created my own team name and currently logging previous finds after discussions with other cachers at a recent event TFTC

30-Jun-08
Fences are gone! WP2 A little worse for wear but readable, enjoyable multi Thanks for bringing us back to this station, where we once met the train for Victor TNLN TFTC

09-Feb-08
Only a little trespassing is required to access WP1 at the moment.
A quick duck around from the platform out of working hours is easily achieved. WP2 and final location are all still OK. A great multi, have lived in the area over 20 years and never visited the station. TFTC TNLN SL

I liked this cache. Particularly because I found 10 dollars on the ground and for once it didn't belong to ThirdmanBig Grin. It took us a while to find the cache because the gps was a bit out.

Found at 17:45.
Despite the fence all around, you can access all parts of the cache without jumping over it. However, it's much easier if you do. Found the first two waypoints easily enough (once we realised WP2 wasn't the final location). Carina didn't make the ascent to the final location.

18-Aug-07
Forgot to bring my bolt cutters to access the station.

There seams to be some major works gong on at this time with a big fence all the way around, so will need to come back later.

07-Jul-07
first for the day, decided to come and get some around Mt Barker. Fairly quickly completed, TNLN. Cheers.

13-Jun-07
I found this one while out for a bike ride Smile
WP2 was especially interesting. Would be good to see it in action Big Grin
Thanks for a fun cache chase. The camera came in handy as an excuse for climbing up the hill Big Grin

02-Jun-07
No rock throwers, no demented shouters, but there were two people looking over the fence from the caravan park when I was at WP2. and there was a clue there and there was a cache at WP3. TNLN. Thanks Ermalesh

28-May-07
Eventually an easy find after realising that I had transposed the decimals when entering the GZ coords into the GPSr. The joy of rushing things.

Got off to good start but at WP2 we couldn't find the tag..
Then it got interesting..
I was slightly miffed at not being able to find WP2 when a voice comes overs the field from NW, "Go away!". Looking up I spy some old coot shouting at us from about 150m away and trying to shoo us off. I was there with MiniZyth2 and we were having a look at the structure, which we'd never seen up close before and this guy keeps of gesturing and staring at us. In the mean time another couple had walked past us, so it wasn't as if a train was coming.
After a while I wandered over towards the caravan park and shouted over the fence to his Winbago what the problem was.
He came out and asked what we were doing and I said looking at the .
He then said teenagers had been throwing rocks at it and thought we might be doing the same. He had been "asked by the railways to keep a look out" he said. I pointed to Brodie, then myself and said "43, do you really think we would be throwing rocks at it, I'm a dad showing my kid the railway, do we look like teenagers?"
He basically accused us of trying to damage it and had phoned the railway people..Surprised
By now I was more than miffed as it appeared the railway had entrusted it's security to a old moron with dementia.[?]
I poked over the fence , took down his registration (personalized plates "US2", vehicle is a big Winbago) and we left ... after pointing to each of us and informing him in the most sarcastic tone I could muster "Teenagers don't look like this.."
I couldn't face trying to explain to him what a person throwing a rock might look like, talk about sensory overload...
I do hope people don't actually waste time and resources listening to the cry-wolf calls of this twit. I'm lucky I don't look foreign or I reckon the SAS would have been zooming in..
He must have a field day with the all the train buffs who would come here.

If he was just wondering what we were doing, fine.. but the confusion with rocks throwing hoods was a bit much..[:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!]

I had a brief chat to the older couple walking back along the railway and advised them not to be tempted to throw rocks. They thought it was all pretty funny and were a bit bemused to hear of his behavior..

Anyway, we never did find the tag for WP2, we had a pretty good look. We then left Mt. Barker before any more nosy and stupid old coots appeared out of the woodwork..

Really, ..a 12 and a 43 year old throwing rocks in the middle of Sunday afternoon..[?]

Another great multi in the area. WP1 was found no problems (heeding the advice about spiders [xx(]). We were about to give up at WP2 though and declare it missing, when another look revealed the goods. Chooffed off to GZ and after some searching had the cache in hand.

TNLNSL. TFTC.

Nice to be back, enjoyed the little tour. Found cache easily.
OK - Which train should I watch out for - all was deserted today, but I should probably watch out for 520, 621 (under repairs at the moment), 224 or 207 (both also under repairs too). Took TB, Thanks TE for the cache.

15-Dec-06
Fairly muggle free this afternoon so had an uninterupted search. Wp's 1&2 were very stricky. Found a giant turtle in the cache. Took TB and left another one. Thx T E for a nice cache.

06-Dec-06
Dropped off a big fluffy turtle.

01-Dec-06
This is one I've been meaning to do for a while. Grabbed WP1 yesterday whilst passing by and saw where WP2 probably was. Went back today and grabbed it and the cache. I wish I had Chizbeki's geokids to go and get it for me. Getting it wasn't too bad, getting back from it presented more of a problem though. TNLN SL Thanx Team E

20-Nov-06
Found over a couple of days due to time constraints. WP1 good, WP2 was well hidden. GZ took some real hunting in the dark. Thanks for another good one in the series. Took TB

06-Nov-06
Just dropping off travel bug Go East - Tried to fit it into other caches with no luck so will leave it here for someone else to move on.

29-Oct-06

Some muggles arrived at WP2 as I got there. I explained what the whole thing was about… amazingly they were caravaners and had not seen a GPS before. How is that possible [?]
They walked with me to the final spot, and carried the GPS. Well, almost 2 the final. They decided not to go there Big Grin.
Thanks Team Ermalesh. Swapped small items and signed the log.
Clear skies from TeamAstro.

29-Oct-06
This one's been bugging us having not done it and being so close to home. Finally did it, couldn't convince the geokid to go get it, kids these days - soft! TNLN Thanks for the cache.

21-Oct-06
Its funny how the lure of a cache will change ones shopping habits (called by Mt Barker instead of Bridgewater). Not surprisingly the cache took priority - light and fleet of foot looking for the cache, stomped off grumpily to do the shopping. Took Santa-at-Myer lanyard, dropped off White Jeep TB (recently collected from a very isolated travel bug cache in far-north Queensland). Thanks Team Ermalesh.

21-Oct-06
Went with gozling to find my third Ermalesh cache today. Tags found easily, getting to the cache on the otherhand was not so enjoyable Wink TNLNSL

21-Oct-06
Found with little_sis. Enjoyed the hunt. Took White Jeep TB, Left jumbo bouncy ball and micro car SL. Thanks TE for another great cache.

21-Oct-06
Some muggles were cleaning the facilities when we were at GZ, but they didn’t see us. Another caching team started the journey just as we were logging the find, but our paths never crossed and we had departed the area before they had returned from WP 2. Took a patch and left an emergency resus mask. Thanks Ermalesh Big Grin, a very nice and historic spot. Would’ve loved to have seen some steam [^]

20-Oct-06
Decided to try a little train spotting late on a Friday arvo. First tag didn't take long to find, but the second had us scatching around for a while. It ended up being right where the Etrex was pointing. The final spot was in the opposite direction to what we were expecting, but a much better setting. No swaps but we did pick up the TB Fruit Loops. Thanks Ermalesh.

16-Oct-06
Interesting what you can find lying around old railway stations, other than old trains that is!
Had a nice walk around thanks Ermalesh.
Took nothing but left a decorated parrot TB straight form our trip east.
Cheers, TFTH.

16-Oct-06
Great chance to walk around on a non school holiday day. Imagine this place in its heyday?

15-Oct-06
Enjoyed this multi. Tags found relatively quickly and soon we were at gz. No trains today. The cache will be exposed in summer, may be worth a check. Thanks Team Ermalesh, great series

13-Oct-06
Found in the dead of night. Good location and another good one in the series. TNLN. Thanks Team Ermalesh

13-Oct-06
It was cold here last night just after midnight Surprised.
we could still hear the road gang from the freeway.
TNLN
Thanks again Team Ermalesh

13-Oct-06
Freddo got me back for a lucky find I had earlier in the night.
I was within inches of the cache without seeing it.
Really enjoyed this one. Loved the turntable.
Great fun in the dead of the night.

13-Oct-06
Found eventually. Just. We had been all over the place. Andrew knows that he was looking 6 inches from the cache and missed it. I just got lucky. Lotsa spiders.

12-Oct-06
Found 9.00am, while at GZ I spotted a car pulling in, they where just playing (waiting)in the nearby park, hmm suspicious, I am sure to be spotted by a fellow cacher, quickly filled in the log and scurried off.

Since Voogs and heavens above are jointly claiming FTF I am claiming Bronze. [^]

Should have been at home doing chores but getting a FTF that was Ermies was too great a temptation. Twisted yay no one there! Took Heavensabove! for his first ever cache and first ever FTF Big Grin TNLNSL cheers ermies...

11-Oct-06
Shaperoned by Voogoo for my first cache and first FTF. A good excuse to duck out of work for 30 mins. Took travel bug and SL.

11-Oct-06
mmmmmm Beaten by the Voogs and a newbie!!
Found eventually, after the batteries died between WP2 and GZ. So back to the car, and on to retrieve the 3rd prize!
Thanks Ermalesh for another stop we have never stopped at.
Left Patch TNSL
Cheers
