Ideally I wanted to move it back to its original location, but there are some technical issues that plagued its early days and its current location is a bit lame. Also, I'm not on campus enough these days to keep a good eye on it. For those visiting UNSW who wish to get a little caching under their belts, please seek 'Formative Years' which is at the other end of campus.
Spent a long time checking all the possible combinations of hiding places to no avail. My 2nd DNF tonight, hope things get better.
Was here about 730am on a Saturday, which I thought would give me plenty of muggle-free opportunity to find it. I was on my way to the nearby Random Hacks of Kindness event at the Australian Business School on campus. Had a good look, but wasn't able to find it. Cheers Gav
Walked straight passed it all day! Found it in the dead of night last night Cute little cache
Attempted to find this cache today at midday ... No chance too many muggles, will search site soon
Had muggle sitting at the spot we were looking but he soon moved away and the cache was spotted.
Thought this was an appropriate cache to end our Oz Mega Event visit with and our 344th find over the last two weeks. Luckily there were no muggles closeby so we could make a quick find T4TC.
got to ground zero.. found the cache.. all good
nice quiet weekend

On a day when high volume muggle activity has already spoiled at least 3 searches for us so far, we come to a place that is normally muggle city and find it as deserted as it will ever get. Found the cache easily in this lonely luxury.
Log replaced and ready to go. Even managed to return it with a security guard sitting ten metres away.
Cache check today revealed the logbook to be wet and mouldy, and the label is gone. Will replace in the next fortnight.
TFTC!
Plenty of muggles, even only at 7.45.
Cool to think how many people pass this by on a daily basis.

Got this one while attending the Science info day for new students (I'm coming here this year!). There were quite a few muggles around but it was easy to sneakily grab this one, sign the log and replace it without being noticed. TFTC!
I've noticed there's a dramatic difference in the amount of people on that lawn during the summer session compared to normal sessions. Quick and easy find at approximately 3pm.

Walked into the uni on a scorcher to track down this one. Also tracked down someone's chewing gum, nicely heated under the summer sun. Will be purchasing new shoes tomorrow. Thanks for the cache and the minty fresh footwear.
Nice and easy find, thanks. First to capture this one for the new year! Watch out for the little spidey.
was at the wrong side of the wall so did not get this one. But will try again.. if there is a chance.
Certainly see what you mean about timing....
I'm guessing that the middle of the day during the week mid semester would be impossible or very easy.
Disappointed to find no trackables in this cache as I was hunting for something to bring back to Melbourne.
Thanks for the cache.

Sorry Cherryred, I actually preplanned visiting your cache from Townsville a week ago & have visited it yesterday the 13th at around 1500hrs & obviously missed you. I did not get back to the computer until today the 14th so was unaware of your request for assistance for cache first aid but I did notice the problem & likewise I had no way of repairing it including chewing gum although I don't think I would have been as creative as you in even thinking of gum as a repair agent. I must say there were a lot of muggles about but due to it's position it is still no problem to stealthly retrieve this cache. Had fun. TFTC.
As it happened, today was the first time in literally months that I could perform a cache check and I discovered the loose tag at lunchtime; unfortunately I had no supplies for repairs on me and it could be a month before I get back. If any visiting cacher could so much as tack it down with some chewing gum in the interim I would be very grateful.
(Fun fact: in my deepest, darkest hour I submitted a uni assignment with the diagrams attached using chewing gum. Hopefully the suspiciously minty smell didn't give this fact away.)

I had been eyeing this for almost a year now but always found muggles near the site. Eventually found it this morning at 2am after a bad start to Friday the 13th when my motorbike battery died and I had to walk down to Anzac Parade to catch a bus.[xx(] Tape holding the label might need a change as it looks like it's gonna fall off. TFTC!!
Last cache before dropping Hagar at the airport. The cache was found 6 metres away from the posted coordinates. Signed the logbook.
This ones been on my radar for a very long time it's nice to finally put it to bed, and a beaut spot for it too, though it was quite exposed, we were quite surprised it was still there.
I have placed it on the inside now rather than the outside just to give it a little cover from muggles hope thats OK.
Thanks for the cache
P.S It's probably already been said but there is no TB inside either.

Hooray! Our second find for the day after logging 3 DNF nearby.
Nice and quiet today during a public holiday.
Have to admit I was begining to doubt the GPS and mistakenly started searching at another nearby timepiece. doh!
Once we realised our mistake we found it very easily.

Got to gz and someone was looking that he was following me. Sat down and went geez muggles. Next thing I heard was are you a geocacher. Cool another cacher Nice to meet ya Redbackspider and thanks for teaming up and finding some more with me. Saved my legs I can tell you. He had already spotted this one and so was a quick easy one for me TFTC
400 - 6 for today. Found on 20/09/2009 at 3:00 PM.
Muggles near the cache. Came back later but they moved onto the grass. Noticed someone wandering about constantly looking at their 'mobile phone'. A fellow geocacher from the ACT, mr_ roo. We decided to team up and try to locate some nearby caches as well as this one. Cache was easily located. TNSLLN

Cahce #2. Co-operative find with Pendlebury. Well hidden and good hunt. Searched at night with no sign of muggles...or security. TFTH.
Second one of the day during a business trip to UNSW. Brought along a muggle friend to show them about geocaching. I remember when they installed the time piece. Didn't seem to work for long. At least it is right twice a day.

Out walking Sydney as I do some caching on a nice winter day. Your winter days are like my summer days back home almost. Busy here today but my bench just happened to be open. TFTH.
Ah... uni. Doesn't really change much, does it? Smells like ibis or bat around here at night time. TFTC, TNLN.
Took a little while for the GPSr to settle but a quick find.
Still quite a number of muggles laying around enjoying the sunshine but I was quite discreet and not noticed with my folder out 'studying'.
Thanks for the Cache. Been many years since I was last here at the UNI.

Caching Gods must of been smiling on us today, Wal and I walked to the GZ, a sit down and the cache was in the first place I felt. SL TFTH
Looks like a nice place to learn stuff... Glad I don't have to come here though... Thanks
nice and quiet today and easy grab the tape holding the paper on the front was hanging off might need to fix up a bit but other wise all good thanks
113 - Busy day on the library lawn today! Located fairly promptly with the help of some (now previously) muggle friends. TFTC
Out for a late night raid on some other "hard to do in daylight" caches we hoped that this place would be deserted late at night. With nobody at all around, a torchlight search soon had the container in-hand at 11.45 PM. Now we're quickly off to get the Geojeep home before midnight in case it turns into a pumpkin.
Hi Cherryred
I located this cache quite fast but
there was a student blocking my way had
to wait about an hour till i could get to it!

Two visits today to this one with no luck. At the first visit, there was a student camped on the seat with a laptop computer and books. Couldn't believe there were still students sitting around there in the dark at about 6.00 PM! A fairly thorough torchless search failed to locate a container.
My old uni! I don't think the lawn was that neat in my day... A good one to find at night.
Had a job interview close by and found this one pretty quickly. Love the hiding spot. Not many people around out of session.
I will not log a DNF as I didn't get the chance to search properly - the coffee cart was just a bit too close, and there were too many people around.
Wow... my how has this place changed since I was here in the 90's. The lawn was definately not this green when I was here.
Quick easy find. Thanks for bringing me back.

Nice hide! Found with little trouble but I know the area well seeing as how I'm a student here. TNLNSL
My profuse apologies, bondi burrows - I am the worst cache owner in Sydney. A pencil has now been added, and I've put you on the log sheet.
Ahhh, my old stomping ground - I still come back here a few times a year. Been waiting for this cache to come back online...... Nice easy find.

Found easily in the gathering gloom on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The place was virtually deserted apart from a few students loitering around the Union who would have struggled to see us in the failing light. Stayed just long enough to work out where the cache used to be. Didn't have a pen so couldn't sign the log. Took Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug.
so, had some business to do on the campus and quickly ticked this one off. need to sign the log book some time later as I forgot my pen in the meeting room.
thanks, beaki

Snatched it out from right under a pair of students' noses. Looking like a student has its advantages. Mmm food.
And look, a TB! Exams will come and then be over soon - make sure you replace the temporary one with a more permanent container!

Time for a progress update: got distracted, eventually came up with an unoriginal but hopefully resilient replacement cache, but there is a huge cyclone fence around the entire lawn and all the lovely grass is gone. I must wait until gardening maintenance is finished before I can replace the cache, which should be around the start of March (just as things get busy there, just my luck).
Building is right - cache is gone. Will replace with a more sensible version next time I'm on campus late at night (which is much less often than I used to be).
Found Education the Key TB.
Left Maui No Ka Oi TB.
Congratulations Indy. Great win in the band festival.

Very cute cache. Such a public place but you'd never find it if you weren't looking for it.
Came in the night, took nothing, left nothing but a log. Cheers!

Interesting time piece and beautiful grounds. Now I know where the HECS goes.
Lots of students here for a Sunday, but all were engrossed in their reading material to worry about a late 30-something wandering around. Collected the TB and headed off in the knowledge I don't have exams at the end of the year

I'm enabling this for any pilgrims that are in the area as the old, rusty cache is technically still there, and I planned to replace it this week and left the bloody container at home. Apologies to all those cachers out there for its continuing poor condition.
Current cache will stay there until I can replace it - v4.0 hasn't worked, so I'm changing tack and will have a small container ready soon, hopefully. Thanks for the notice.
This one was not where it originally was when we first found it. Barely could see it as it fell down below. Container is pretty rusty. I placed back as best I could, but could use some maintenance.
Having Fun after some drinks at the unibar, had to wait for a bloody couple to move along... Very well blended in to the location.
About time i found this one tho....

313 - Back in Sydney for another Uni week.
What better place then to find a cache than another Uni site! On a nice quiet Sunday with only a few muggles around I found the cache - ducked in for the grab, signed, and returned. Phew - made it.
Took Geocoin. TFTC !!

Visited the area over the Easter weekend to attend a Kendo tournament nearby, grabbed this one while we were there.
Really glad we didn't drop the container putting it back.

Was at the library late Sunday and saw this was back up. Great spot and cache. Hard to open, though. Wouldn't try finding during the week while class is in session. TFTC.
Absolutely no one around at 0650 on a sunday morning.
Was hoping GC's were still in residence but it was not to be.
Nice hide but I recommend some stronger magnets as this one could disappear quite easily.

Fairly easy find. But would be very easy to drop the thing never to be seen again. Amazing how many people there are even late on a Saturday afternoon. Grabbed the geocoins. Thanks Cherryred.

Cache v4.0 is in place (v2.0 and 3.0 were dismal failures) and is "temporary" (ie. until I come up with a better container and some decent tools). The co-ords will be slightly out, but logical thinking, reading the clue and the hints will help you out greatly. Please note the new container might hold coins and lightweight, flat (oops, a hint!) things but no travel bugs.

A brief glance every time I walked past made me think it would probably still be there, but a rudimentary up-close inspection yesterday indicated mattoboy is right. Will have a more thorough search when muggle count is zero. If it is really gone (*sob*) I will replace it with something smaller.
Grass cut really short, May have been exposed / muggled. A few muggles about #0730hrs. No Can Find, Have to try again L8R.

Found @ 18:00. Up to do some work for the UNSW for a couple of days. I looked at on the new GPSr and found this cache 120 meters from my desk. A nice bonus for the trip. I tried to located it at 16:45 but to many muggles around so I waited till it got dark and the hunt was on. It only took 5 minutes to locate, it log it and return it.

I will be in Sydney on business between 20th - 31st August. I will be staying near "The Rocks" and working near Mascot Station.
If any of the watchers have Travel Bugs that would like to visit the US or Europe, I would be happy to carry them back on my return flight.
I am also planning to spend a week vacation - traveling in the Sydney area. I do not have Garmin maps for Australia. Does anyone have Metroguide Australia (or any other compatible maps) that I can temporarily load onto my eTrex Vista C? I would gladly pay shipping between Australia and the US.
Thank you!

Arrived at the location right around 1pm on Monday and the place was packed with muggles going to and fro. Waited for about 10 minutes and decided that there would be little chance of getting to the cache unnoticed. Even though I had the location spotted and it would have only taken 5 minutes to nab, I had to pass this one on. Maybe I'll grab it next time I'm in Sydney.
A trip back to the alma mater for team bloopy. Nice and quiet on the lawn given it was Saturday morning. Found the cache fairly easily but some paranoia about the few people about wondering what we were up to. Took card game and left buddha and jumping bean then enjoyed a walk around the campus seeing what had changed since uni days.
The team had fun going through this cache full of stuff. Probably needs fresh silica gel. TNLN. logged in. tftc
This took me a while as I was paranoid that the students over at the library would woner what I was doing out in the rain.
I was in the area and had to try my luck. After a quick lap around the quadrangle it was mine. TNLNSL. TFTC

It was great to find this after a disappointing night scrambling in the dark for another cache. No. 3 for lca2007.
