I'm here to say this cache was available to find but now is not. I collected it today. Ending the series I'm afraid.
GZ was flooded and I wasn't keen to start my day caching with soggy feet, ah well I'll come back.
The Monday before Melbourne Cup day is always a great day to take off from work. It left me on my own without kids or other commitments. I started my run at about 3 pm in the afternoon and made a great time of it. This time I brought the mountain bike along to grab a few caches on bicycle paths. It was all going well until my puncture at about 10 pm in the evening. Well from then on I just went for some easy drive bys with short walks. The run was a good solo effort picking up quite a number of caches. There were only a few DNF’s so it was well worth the effort. This cache was one I found tonight. After a bit I widened the search area and made the find. Thanks chewinprickles for the cache.
Well we rode the poo trail and found PTPP3 first, then rode onto to the next nearest this one. It took a while, rocks everywhere and the opposite fence, is that where it is ? Finally found it. TFTC
Found on our way to perform in the Australian Youth Choir Performance in Melb. Gotta love the glorious sunshine today.TFTC
Replaced logbook & plastic bag, dried out cache container, removed anything rusting or growing. All good to go.
the area has been very wet and the cache was full of water and the logbook was unuseable.
Found it @ approx. 17:10
A nice easy find on the way home after work.
However the area has been very wet and the cache was full of water and the logbook was unusable.
So I was unable to sign the log. Sorry.

Found this cache right after the big dump of rain, which made life difficult as the cache was [blue]on an island[/blue]!
Thanks, chewinprickles, for a fun cache.
And, by the way, the cache had a lot of water in it and the log was very wet and will need to be dried out.

My last of the PPTP cache to complete the series. I have already solved the mystrey and claimed, but good to finish the series.
A relative quiet section of the Federation trail and easy to retrieve between muggle watching. My GPS had this about 13m out, but that may be from my 5yo daughter playing with it the night before and doing a complete initialisation. I will need to test a little more.
Thanks for the series along this windy, dusty and definitely a wild west trail.

Walked to this cache from Old Geelong Road, didn't see anyone on the walk so it's pretty quiet, apart from all the trains and cars driving down the freeway. Took me a while at the coords to find it, turns out it's a few metres away but in an obvious spot.
Out in this area visiting and caching with my sister. We are slowly getting all the clues by walking the track. Its bitter out here today but that means no muggles about. It was easy to work out which side of the fence to go but found finding the cache hard. My coords for some 11 metres out and we were about to give up and then I spotted it. There is quite a bit of rubbish about, probably come off the freeway. We were intertained by all the reading matter along the way.

Once we realised which side of the fence we were supposed to be on, we had a pretty straight forward find quite late on a Friday night.
Once we worked out what side of the fence we had to be on, garnercx and I had no problems finding it.
Continuing my slow plod of the Federation Trail and the PTPP series, I headed along the Trail after getting off the Train at Hoppers Crossing. It was certainly a noisy section to this cache with the Freeway a stone's throw away. Reaching GZ there was no easy way but to tangle with the Fence to get to the cache - picture arms and legs and backpack and walking stick in all directions. Like other Cachers I widened my search area from where the GPSr was 'pointing' but soon had the cache to hand. As I was filling in the Log, a Car pulled over nearby and I initially thought, 'ah a Cacher doing a drive-by'. But no, this fellow, for some suspicious reason, wanted to know what I was doing? Probably not an unreasonable question considering the location. Unsure of who he was, I batted away his enquiry by saying I was a Botanist looking for some rare native flowering Orchids (mind you not the season for flowering Orchids) and this rather obtuse explanation seemed to do the trick. He went away as quickly as he arrived (I'm still wary of why he approached) and I waited until he was well out of view and replaced the cache which I had tucked into my jacket pocket during our 'conversation'. Thank you again to 'chewinprickles' for the cache. TNLN. TQP
A great day out and a nice easy ride through the area. Took a few mins to find it, but after expanding the search area we had it in hand. Caleb was doing great!
Our first find on our cycle trip from Hoppers to Footscray. We had to widen the search area out to about 7m before we had the goods. NINO SL TFTC
This was the first of these PTPP caches today and took longer to locate than others as I had to increase the search area before I spotted what I was after. I recorded the letter G* but later on found another G and with the same # (# 8 G*) Maybe I am having a seniors moment. I have two more to find after today so will wait and see what I come up with.
Thanks chewinprickles for placing these caches.
Found this one on the way home from work at 2.30pm. Came in from the freeway not the bike track. Took Geocoin. Left necklace

Nice find after a brief search. Nice bike trail. Move on to work this series.
Took a little while to find this one - lucky I brought my little fella along with me coz I just chucked him over the fence and said "go find". He eventually did! TNLN. Cheers!

I have been wanting to do this series for a long time however the weekend weather for the past couple of months was nothing to be desired.
Today was finally the day, warm and not too windy. We decided to do this series in reverse. This was the 9th cache we found at 4.45pm..
Big girlie Tractors Don't Cry came to visit.
Thanks chewinprickles for the cache.

An early dinner and the walls of the Motel are starting to close in... So into the g-buggy as I have decided to attempt the PTPP series sans Poo Path Pedalling machine. An e-recon via Google maps has identifies possible Insertion Points (IP) were an old bloke with ‘poopy’ knees might be able to make ‘runs’ on the poo path packages.
After this plan worked for PTPP3 pretty quickly so I again applied it to PTPP2, not sure if where I parked the g-buggy was 100% legal but it got me close enough. A wander to the GZ indicated had me convinced the cache was over the fence on the other side of the track or two fences from me. I attempted to ‘squeeze one’ through the fence, my compliments to whomever ‘strained’ and ‘dropped’ this fence, they did an excellent job and I had to roll under it like a ‘log’. The GPS then wandered a bit and in the end I had to get back on the starting side of the fence, again a ‘log’ roll under the fence. Took about 15 minutes scrounging around before I found the cache in the 2xAA torch light. Managed to get the clue to this one…

The second last of the preliminaries for me today - and I'd hoped to finally have a complete set of co-ords for the final before I headed home. After making an easy find here, I eagerly went to write in the newly acquired value in my (nearly) complete co-ordinates for the final - only to find that I'd already used this value. I'm guessing that, when it was replaced, Howard has put in the wrong clue (I don't think I'm giving too much away when I say that a value for "G" was in this cache and I already had that from another one). Anyway, I didn't think it would matter much if I could get the value from #1 - but I couldn't find a reasonable (walking) access point for that one, so I ended up skipping it today. Anyway, I reckon I could get the final with what I've got so, next time I'm near there it will be on the list .

Is "burrow" still there as I could not find it and both have not been found or logged since The Lone Random logged them on 17th March ?

How good is that? To be able to ride to work along a pleasant bike track, instead of being stuck in traffic on a busy road. Having lost some weight recently it felt great to be able to slide between the wires of the fence without difficulty! The cache was also found without difficulty and was in good order. Was just 'sliding' through the fence again when a muggle bike rider whizzed past at about 100km/hr. Well that's what it felt like anyway - didn't even see him coming. TNLN TFTC.
This was really easy, mainly because I (with my overly muscular build) decided not to climb the fence, and the squalids (with their punier builds) did the climbing for us.
Main dangers here include being killed by a maniac cyclist, or going deaf by the combination of road and train noise. It's REALLY noisy on a Sunday afternoon; still, I suppose you take your bike paths where you can get 'em.

Dropped in here too and rearranged the hide a little. I must say the old hide wasn't too bad as it took me a little while to find. In fact I couldn't find it yesterday but did so today with the aid of the GPS. Rejigged the co-ords slightly too.
Very easily found at 8:00PM on the 18th of Jan by Ray and Maya. It was just lying on the ground in full view of all who passed by. Very wet inside the container. TNLN. We re-hid the cache at my GPS'r GZ, but possibly not in the original place. Thanks from The Nomads.
Found at 0650. As I drove to the nearest point instead of walking the trail, I had to go over a total of four fences to retrieve this one. All part of the fun I guess.....not! Easy find in the end.

Found today by Mr Emu & son @ 10.20 a.m. GAFF1, as we continued Pedalling The Poo Path. Nicely screened from passing traffic at the GZ, although the side of the cache container was clearly visible from the bike path. We took extra time when replacing it to make sure any gaps were covered with material that would not blow away. Thanks for the another cache in this series chewinprickles*.
Took: HK $2 Left: Butterfly, $100 keyring; Wrote down "Clue".
*Please note that the plastic log book bag is split and will need replacing sometime. Nothing was damp, but unfortunately we didn't have a spare (yet another thing to add to my cache repair kit).
