sorry we are in brisbane at the moment so I'll fix this one up when we get home in a few weeks.
Tried this one about 3 times and still couldn't find it. Found two Tamarinds in the area and searched both, high and low.
As per previous log Joe Possum was unable to find this cache after searching high and low.
Found on my last full day in Townsville (on a work trip)

A nice easy find on my way to work this morning. I had tried this one late last night only to find the park is closed after 6pm. Considered jumping the fence but my morals wouldn't let me. Besides, all the sprinklers were on and I would have got very wet just getting to the cache. There is nothing quite so frustrating as being within 100 meters of a cache and not being able to complete it. TNLNSL, TFTC.
For a moment there we thought a possum had taken up residence on the cache. Fortunately we found another hollow
in an adjacent tree with the hidden cache. Enjoyed chatting with the birds. Thanks

Lovely park that only geocaching would have taken us to. 2nd for two Kiwis in a drive around the city before heading south.
WanderingAus wandered by on day fifty-six of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia, and made an easy find.

What a beautiful place, no problems locating GZ and the cache. Enjoyed a stroll around the quiet location - very few muggles around today.
Another one I know I've been to with Technobratz in 2007 but appear to have forgotten to log. TNLN. TFTC.
This one had us going around in circles a bit as the tree cover and cloud was affecting the GPS, but got there in t he end. Took Nil Left blue shell. TFTC
I had an enjoyable walk through the park before arriving at an interesting GZ. As I surveyed the area for likely hiding spots I was releived to find that the gardens were very quiet today. I chose the spot and after a short search found the cache at 1155hrs.
There was a bit of moisture inside the container so I dried it out before replacing. The log book was still dry.

Lovely area to ride a bike through, and find a cache as well. Loved the Queens Tamarind, would make a great shade spot for an acreage back yard. TFTC.
After taking some photos, I approached GZ only to find a family standing nearby holding a phone like a GPS. As I got closer, they retreated to a nearby play area and I was able to retrieve and replace the cache once I found the right object. TFTC.
First cache for the day's exploration. Walked right upto the GZ but noticed a suspicious female walking towards our direction, so retreated to the swings. While pushing the Geo-Brats on the swings, the suspicious female pulled out what seemed like a hand held GPS. It was then obvious that we were not the only ones looking for the cache. After the suspicious female left, (and after she had led us right to the cache) we hurried over, retrived the catch and logged our find. The suspicious female, now fellow cacher had a name... Geo Jo!

A beautiful park that we enjoyed a lot. Checked out some Kookaburrasin the nearby trees - they provided a great excuse to be there as long as we were - some muggles were nearby and were none the wiser of our real purpose. TFTC.
Lovely park. difficult find as a muggle had decidied to listen to the radio mere metres from the hide. at half time he moved further away as the shade had moved so we did a quick grab and wandered off. replacing the cache was done with similar stealth.
While Geo son and I explored the root system Geo soon to be daughter in law exclaimed "is this it after removing it from it's hiding place. She can come caching anytime.

thank you for letting us know about the damp log it has now been replaced and is good to go.
Included this one on a quick jog from hotel. Visiting from SA and had an exciting time traveling from Bowen with the rivers in flood. Made it in the end! When looking for this one the security people were patrolling and thought I looked suspiciously like a terrorist. I explained to them what I was up to without giving away GZ. Had trouble signing log as it is damp and I did not have a pen. It will need drying or replacing. Thanks for the hide and the look at this park.
Found during a break in the rain on a wet and humid Townsville day. Log is a little damp but still OK.
Found easily thanks to previous logs indicating that the right tree is the wrong tree. TNLN, TFTC.
I had just flown in from Perth for work at Lawn Hill. Went for a walk from the hotel to find the nearest caches. This is a great tropical garden park that I had walked through a few months earlier. Just as well as it was quite dark by the time I got here. It took me a while to work out which tree it was, and I almost gave up as it was nearly pitch dark, but I managed to find it at 7pm by feeling around. Wrote in the log by the light of the PDA. Thanks for the cache kaweir.
Good hunt, the big trees threw out the GPS readings but the hints helped a lot. TFTC.

Found this one in such a beautiful park. What wonderful trees - always have driven past and not visited. Thanks for taking us there. Found easily especially as the Reluctant Companion has longer legs than mine! TNLN. TFTC.
Found easily at 0930 hrs today. Had a good look around afterwards. The last time I was here was the day I was married, 15 years ago. TNLNSL.
Another beautiful park for Townsville and I would never have found it if it weren't for searching for caches. Thanks kaweir.
I almost rode up to this one, except I bothered to read the sign at the gate. Parked and walked instead. Found easily.
I think there may be a bit of funny business going on around GZ, with who I think are less than desirable characters arranging meetings for not family friendly activities. I hope I am wrong. I dont think it is a problem, just something to be aware of.
Found at 1305 hrs.
Find number twenty nine for the trip out west and up north.
Cheers

Like everyone else coords lead me to a different tree.
However there is always a sign as to where a cache maybe.
However there is always a sign as to where a cache maybe.
Took a while to find because my co-ordinates sent me to a different tree. Then I remembered the name of the cache and it didn't take long to find GZ. My wife beat me to the find. TFTC SL.
A wonderful park and we enjoyed having a good look around and admiring all the brilliant plants before finding the cache. The gps actually took us to a tree slightly away from the correct tree but it didnt take us long to work out where we should be. Thanks kaweir
Nice easy find I just had too wait out workers who where unloading what looked like a stage. A beautiful park in the middle of the city. TFTC
Walked a circle around the GZ before finding the cache. Nice spot which brought back many memories of school days at Central State School in the 70's. TFTC.
Found this with my hubby and daughter. Had fun looking for the cache, daughter bit disappointed that she could not swap anything. Her first cache but not her last.
getting tired....this is my 11th find for the day....
nice area...thanks for bringing me here

Had to give up on this one a few days ago because of muggle activity, this time I went straight to the hide and had the container in my hands in seconds.

found it with out to much trouble, my wife knowing what a tamarind tree looked like helped as we lost gps reception as we got within 50m.
My first find in Townsville.
I am up for the week, visiting from Maryborough.
Nice Park.

Nice Park.
Nice place to visit, the council workers must have thought I was nuts for looking at a tree for so long while waiting for them to finish their work and leave.
A nice area to explore, though it felt rather strange being in the open searching for this cache
Found after a short hunt, thanks

Lovely park with so many lovely trees. Coords seemed to be a bit out, but not too difficult all the same. Thanks for placing a cache here because I might otherwise not have come into this park while visiting Townsville.
log book has been replaced just your name and date is great.
enjoy and happy hunting.

Easy find, no muggles around, went early in the morning. Haven't been to the gardens for ten years, thanks for the incentive to go, it has changed a lot. TN/LN. The log book needs replacing, but it will have to be itty, bitty. The cylinder is very small.
Well no muggles activity today, maybe the weather had something to do with it, rain and windy. Oh well what else would you do in afternoon after work. Great little spot.

No muggle problems today. The rain sent everyone scurrying for shelter. Except for me, GPS in hand. Excellent hiding spot for this one. No-one would find it accidentally unless they were looking for it.
Luckily Bel knew what a Tamarind tree was as the gps wasn't accurate here.
Signed log, thanks

Mrs Yarrum was on the ball this morning and had located the cache from its name while Yarrum jnr and I were still at the coordinates in the middle of the lawn. Majestic gardens with the large trees and Castle Hill in the background. Very quiet when we visited, almost no-one around. SL TFTC Kaweir.
Good little hide in a lovely park. Tried last night but the park was closed. Noone around at 6:30am.
Nice micro. Nice gardens, Townsville people should be very proud of their parks and gardens. SL TFTC.
Beautiful park have/t been there since I was a boy had a picnic lunch and found the cache. Plenty of muggle activity so had to be sneaky. TNLN TFTC

There is a short story behind this one...Trish being the unadventurous one of the pair drove past the cache late one night but was adamant to leave it for a day time find...However Cath couldn't wait...So 9pm Friday night here is Cath quickly jumping the fence running through the sprinklers and hunting down a cache...Easy find would be difficult during peak times in the park...Gave a whole different perspective on this area at night...can be quite spooky...SL...sorry Pete you can have the log but we have it in the cache TFTC
