Didn't find, made Belken come with us the second time and even they couldn't find it!!! Maybe someone has borrowed this cache.

As a previous finder I was asked to look for the cache. I can say with the utmost confidence that the cache is not in the hidey hole it should be. Tonny of Destonny can say with the utmost confidence that the cache is not anywhere under or in that bloody tree. I checked to make sure they had the right tree.

With this one not being found for quite some time could the owner confirm it is still there.

A different kind of mystery. The mystery here is how everyone ends up at the wrong tree, myself included. A lot of tracks around one, not many around the other. A simple find if you get to the right one.
Thanks!

Looked at two trees but too scared to put my hand in too far as very scared of bitey things. Lots of mozzies about and curlews. Disappointed as found by someone yesterday.

Will have to write a note. Ken thought we had done this one and we still looked in the wrong tree. When we did find the cache we saw that we did find it back in 2006. Will log with that date. Thanks twice.Dropped a coin in the cache.

Woo-hoo our 50th cache!!! We agree with the entries in the other logs in that the clues and co-ordinates were a bit off. Our eldest cache kid found this one after wondering off as he thought that he'd try one of the other fig trees and his whim paid off. Unfortunately we left our swaps at home (geo-dad's fault) so other than a lot of mozzie bites we took nothing and left nothing. TFTF.

Second visit to this site as we got chased away a couple of days ago by snake. Returned today and found easily, although I'm sure we looked in that dark spot the other day - if we had found it then we would have avoided the unpleasant encounter with the snake on the other side of the tree! Also didn't see the listed trackable in the cache.

Arriving at GZ I had put my GPS away and was firing up the PDA for a check of the notes. As I did a male walked past and said, "you're in the wrong area." I asked what he meant and he said, "the geocache, it's those trees." I just smiled and checked the PDA before starting the search.

Having read the previous logs and taking note of the placement date it was always going to beinteresting which tree as there was plenty of new growth.

I picked a tree and was duly rewarded at 1620hrs after a short search. There are definitely some great fig specimens in this area.

I didn't notice the TB in the cache.

Thought I was in the approximate location, but there were too many potential hiding spots. Happened to meet Scorpion + Butterfly today and they gave me a little clue, so will give this cache another shot in the next day or so!

01-May-08
Scorpion & Butterfly first visited GZ the day before with Geo-Brats and spent an hour searching for cache after finding what we thought was the cut fig vine. Time passed but the Mozzies didn't, so Butterfly and Geo-Brats took for cover as Scorpion returned later that afternoon to continue the search. Scorpion was overwhelmed with muggle activity and decided to return later that night before the muggles called the police about the strangle man going through the gardens like a scrub turkey. But unfortunatley the cloak of darkness was no friend to the determined Cache hunter. Scorpion, not one to give into anyone let alone anything returned the following day after work, and dressed in full uniform tried one more time to grab the bounty. Once the right cut vine (with roots now growing from it) was found the Cache was found in less then five minutes.

Parked the car nearby and traipsed on over to where the arrow indicated. Taking heed of the riddle and and after a glance over some previous logs we eyed a couple of suspects - one of which seemed much more likely than the other. Gave one location a half hearted and cursory look over before wandering over to where we thought the cache would lie. The mosquitoes were certainly out in force - even in the middle of the day - but fortunately the muggles were not.

Had another read of the riddle and inspected various roots and bits of tree. And a fine looking fig tree it is - just love the tangle of roots and the spreading shadeful canopy. Anyway we spotted something which could be interpreted as fitting the clue and spotted a couple of obvious hidey holes - I mean where else would a cache be hidden here!

My hand was reluctant to be sent blindly groping into the darkness - this is the tropics! - so a careful perusal was in order before the container was retrieved. Afterwards we took a short stroll along the riverside path, past the ginormous chimney. A pleasant little spot was this. We made no swaps, however dropped off a geocoin and picked up the Dog Tag TB.

Thanks trishtrish35 I love your caches especially the ones with riddles. Of course I found myself at the wrong tree to start with but all was good in the end. It's worth a trip down there just to see those beautiful big trees. I was however a little bit put off by signs of loo paper so was very cautious as to where I put my hands. Took War Geocoin and left Travel Bug "Lindy's Bug".

04-Sep-07
GRRRR, didnt this one cause me some problems.
First off, the GPS and clues took me to the wrong tree. With a bit of poetic licence, I managed to make the rest of the clues fit, and come up with nothing.
Also, at this time of the day, it was muggle central around here. Heaps of cyclists, and walkers.

Trying to think laterally, I headed to check out some likely spots for the final cache location, still nothing.

Finally, returning to the clues, I spread my search for the correct spot, and finally came up trumps with one of them, at a totally different spot to that which the GPS gave me. But applying the supplied information had the cache in my hands in seconds. Many swaps were done, given the effort and time taken to grab this one. On replacement of the cache, I again tried to retro fit the clues to the cache location. It still took me a number of minutes to find one particular piece of the puzzle. It has grown back a fair bit, and can only be seen if you look carefully.

I probably spent a good hour on this find.

Found at 0720 hrs.

Find number nineteen for the trip out west and up north.

Took the Idaho 2007 and Canadian Dec 2006 Geocoins, the Mojo and Nine ball TB's, and the Year 3 hitchhiker. Left Fort Sumpter and 5 years of Geocaching Geocoins.

I didnt see Sparky TB in the cache, otherwise I would have grabbed it too.

Cheers
