Cache is very wet and log needs drying (see photo). It was very hard to sign without making log a mess of soggy paper.
A nice interesting mosaic, and a quick find. Definitely didn't know about this place, but then again I'm not from Melbourne. SL. TFTC.
Easy hide, Interesting spot TFTC

Second time we tried to find this but this time we found it before dr grouchy could check the clues. Another hat trick from weasel - his third find today - he's on fire!

#160 - Lovely park! Definitely didn't know about this place! After signing the log and hiding it again, we did a bit of sun dancing!
A quick find @ 1700 with SirJ-Oz wrangling his geocachlettes on a showery afternoon stroll. TNLNSL-TFTC
Visiting my brother from South Africa, who lives just up the road. A nice stroll on the green belt with princess Xena.
We forgot a pen at this one, so we signed the log using a stick and dirt!!!

A nice easy find on a great melbourne afternoon.
Would suggest that the container needs camo of some sort, else it will be cleaned up the next time a council worker passes through.
Also, couldn't you come up with a more relevent name?

Wow didn't really understand the stars thing but got the sun and wZ able to find it and nearly got sprung by a moggle going to catch the train
After having to do some shopping over at Carnegie/Moorabbin we fired up the GPS then started working our way towards home choosing whatever caches took our fancy
This was a very cool spot, the mosaic was very cool and no we didnt know about it before hand so thanks for bringing us here
Signed the log to the sound of someone practising drums!

I liked the SUN and STARS (of course I hadn’t know about the spot), but I’d be worried that the cache gets removed as trash in a CITO one day. Could do with some camo

Out on a night caching run with good mate Marshy (Blacklegend17). Quick find and starting to get a bit hungry. TFTC.
25th of 30 for the night on another crazy caching run with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671). Getting late now, but still pushing on. Cache was uncovered, so we covered it a bit better. TFTC.
Enjoyed wandering through the nearby native garden before heading over for a quick rest and even quicker cache find. What a beautiful area and an amazing mosaic - exactly what appeals to me about caching. Made even better by having the artist's explanation of the mosaic there as well, so you knew exactly what each element represented.
On my way to Chadstone, I detoured to this cache. Enjoyed the walk here.

I've walked through there any number of times, once or twice half-heartedly looked for the cache and not found it, today I found it although it was in a spot that I'd looked previously. Good place to sit and watch the lorikeets in the gums.
Nice park and a perfect little quite corner for a cache. 4th cache for the day on the geobike. Thanks, LIVERPOOLRED.
Find #1. Found with (geo-Dad) SirJ-Oz.
Now that I have my own account, I'm back-logging my finds.

Out for a drive and picked up a few caches along the way, quick and easy find.

First find since moving to Melbourne, and first find via iPad. what's with the no standing signs near GZ? Managed to park in-between. TFTC
Geowife found cache at 0945. No muggles around. TNLN. Did not know about this spot, its was nice to see the Sun & Stars together, even on a cold, drizzly Melbourne day. Covered cache, as it appeared to be to uncovered when we found it. Thanks for the cache!
Nice little park found with ease after a bit of a walk around.Took fifty cents and put in a cool hope crock giblet goes well with the theme.
Found it in the dark last night! [|)] Quite a bit of effort went into this one so I felt bad that we only had a battery and 60 cents that would fit, but we enjoyed it all the same.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Working nearby last night. When it was time to go home, flicked on the GPS to see if there was a cache on the way home and this one came up only 80metres away - how could I pass it up. A nice easy find at 02:20 but a bit hard to appreciate it in the dark.

Very cool - had no idea that this place existed. Cache was fairly exposed when we found it so tied to give it a bit more cover. Excellent cache, lots of fun - kids loved seeing the sund AND the stars!
Ive ran through this park a number of times, first time I've slowed down enough to see anything.. nice hide.. TFTC SL

bpar10 - very generous of you to maintain this cache on your very first find!
With the cache owner AWOL, I doubt it's a problem to just take it away, do the maintenance, and return as soon as possible. Only the cache owner can set the cache as temporarily disabled, but if you let people know (as you have) I doubt it'll be an issue.
You can't turn the 'needs maintenance' attribute off either, but that shouldn't matter in the short term.

3 of 4 today... and the first micro. Neat little spot this, and enjoy these installation, especially in unexpected places. Had a little rummage for the cache, almost disturbing a nasty big spider in the process, but eventually found it in its little hide.
As previous logs have mentioned, it is soaking wet... And I'm not sure if the owner is paying attention, having not been online since 2008. This is why I should always bring spare logs, as it only needs one dry one in a waterproof bag to keep it going.

IT was a bit wet and moldy - i might take it home, dry it our and put it in a new bag. What's the etiquette?
Both logs were sodden - the zip-lock bags either weren't sealed or (more likely) leak when folded. [My biro worked - just....]
New log needed - perhaps with a smaller bag that avoids folding the seal? The tin had some surface rust inside, perhaps its just a damp spot?
Thanks

Well hidden in an accessible place near a former homebrew shop I visited several times over the years. Quiet location but beware those sneaky 2-wheeled muggles. Both logs were thoroughly damp - the zip-lock bags seem not to seal when folded (I'll post a maintenance log about this) but amazingly my GCing cutdown pen managed to work anyway!
Found it - the log is absolutely impossible to write on - sopping wet. The log and bags need replacing.

Found with CDNB on a day of casual caching. We were sure that this would be a very busy place on a weekday, so we were glad to be here at the weekend. Cache was located after a brief walk and we did see an eclipse, but we must report that the log is very, very wet and a wee bit smelly. Unfortunately we didn’t have a silica gel packet with us. We note that another cacher has listed it for maintenance. A very interesting mosaic at the cache site and no, we've never been here before, but then we are out-of-towners!

Arrived at a suitable parking spot and the heavens opened up producing a very heavy soaking. I believed that it was letting up so I bolted for the GZ. Once i arrived I was staring at the stars whilst surrounded by the sun. A quick search and I had the cache. The skies opened up again so I raced back to the Geomobile to sign the log. When I opened the cache the log was soaked. I tried to dry it out using the demister but it did not work. I dried out what I could and added another microlog and cache note.

Trust a bloody scouser to hide a cache in an ants nest! Anway used a stick to retrieve and brushed off the remaining ants. Anyway thanks for the cache, clever clue, cache was actually waterlogged so didn't sign. Enjoy the last few months of being the most succesful team in English football!
I was really looking forward to this one. Due to a council worker in a large tractor watering the garden I just couldn't land it. I will have to wait and stare at the stars and dream over this one.
XC on business in Melbourne from Auckland.. Finished with client early so on way to airport I had time for a few.. Stopped rental nearby and walked in to GZ... Came across two young girls with an IPhone looking confused... I chatted to them and found that they were looking for their first Geocache.. Excellent....!! I sat down and let them find it.. which they did all very excited..! I showed them how to sign the log.. They thought up a Profile name and signed it.. but I see they haven't logged online yet.. I hope they do..
Always fun to educate young people... I signed the log and let the girls replace..
All god fun..

My first find in Melbourne, just visiting. The structure the cache is hidden at has recently been repainted, so I initialy thought the cache may have been pinched. It was found, safe and sound, exactly where the description indicated. Forgot my pen (I'm starting to make a habit of this) so here is a photo (photo to come as I can't upload right now).
I must admit that I wasn't quite sure what I'd find at this location, but enjoyed discovering what all the references were about. The search didn't take too long and I had the prize in hand at 14:30.
