Sadly not found on the Anja & Setsujoku honeymoon tour!
After getting married on the 19th May it was time to head off for some rest and relaxation, or rather camping and lots of walking!
We knew what we were looking for, but try as we might, we didn't find it. Two of us for half an hour came up with nothing but dust.

Didnt spend much time here, although the contents of the bushes gave a sad summary of current culture.
This intrigued me as a challenge, D4 but T1. I did stop the car but as I was walking to GZ found a local sitting in the middle of the bushes about 10m from where the GPS wanted me. With a D4 it wasn't going to be a quick discreet grab so had to give up. Oh well, if I am ever back here again can have another try.
The coordinates took me to the middle of this park, where there are three rachitic bushes and bare ground all around... nothing to hide a cache.
I broadened the search around but found nothing at all, there were some pvc pipes sticking out of the ground, but too small to hold a small cache.
The next step is to contact the help desk...

Good hide, found it a year ago but never logged it so we had to look again.

Spent a good 45 minutes looking for this one with VK2RG. Have a better idea of what we're looking for now after reading past logs. Will go back later and try again.
Found with tackle_head on a weeks flying visit to Cent Aust. Searched for a few mins and then read through the logs. After reading it was about 8m out, we broadened the search and the cache was in hand. Thanks to WaddlesK for the cache.
Last cache on our bike ride through Alice Springs. For Dutch people,
like we are, finding this cache is easy (title ...). It took us
about one minute. TFTC.

We looked around for some time before we found it and its so obvious that you fail to notice. Very ingenious.
Found at 12 noon GAFF3. Now here is a cache that we can let fly on some observations:
1. A nice park that seems to be a spot for the locals to sit around and drink beer - plenty of evidence around (why do they like VB especially?)
2. A copy of Picture magazine was uncovered under one of the low shrubs - maybe that is not considered pornography in this town.
3. We can understand why this is a difficulty of 4 as the co-ords are 8 metres out which makes it quite difficult to find a micro in such circumstances.
4. The hint is what we call a "non hint". It could have been - not in the street, or not in the hayloft?
5. The Sturt Desert Pea was an unexpected find and we even suspected that as a possible hiding spot!
6. Looking back on the logs, a cacher, petez69 has let the cat out of the bag - maybe the owner can ask him to modify his 22 August log.
In the end we enjoyed the hunt (probably because we found it) and also had a bit of a thrill with the magazine!
Thanks WaddlesK

Ok, we checked the exact same spot as mulgaNT and didn't see it however now I've checked the pictures I suspects its in the PVC pipe that makes it look alike a pop up sprinkler.... Time to go back tomorrow and look !
Thought this was a very good hide for this area. Probably guaranteed to last. Nice one! TFTC

There were some excellent specimens of Sturt's Desert Pea in this little park, showing subtle differences in colours. The cache was well hidden but was located after a few minutes. TFTC WaddlesK
My GPS had me searching a little bit off GZ, but spiderfoot11 cleverly identified the cache. It's all dry at the moment, but it will leak and get soggy the moment it rains. Possibly some Araldite might fix the prob, but I have none with me today.
This is such an amazing cache! I love it's deguise, so obvious but not somewhere you would bother to look. I couldn't sign the log as I didn't have a pen but I am very satisfied with this find even if I couldn't do any swaps.
Nice quick find. Does need some repair though to keep water out. Thanks Waddlesk.....Silky Seekers Brisbane
Easy find once you have found one of these all others become very suspicious not that I am paranoid but wherever I go and see on I am tempted to check them out.
Quitters luck on this cache. The birds were not friendly here and had us walking around in the drunken circle. Spotted as walking back to the car. Nice to get lucky with the clear skies above. Our thanx to WaddlesK from TeamAstro.
Find number 8 for the day, and find number 98 on the eleventh day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1620hrs Qld time.
Piece of cake, I had one of these at home. Walked straight to it. However, it does need maintenance, as the container itself has come apart, so is currently being placed upside down in the protective container, which takes away some of the challenge of finding it.
Cheers

A very very late log I'm afraid, sorry - traveled up this way with Cached, Robtas and some muggles over Easter 2011 - we had a wonderful trip taking in Coober Pedy, Uluru, Kings Canyon, MacDonnell Ranges, Alice Springs, Lake Eyre and the Oodnadatta Track - thanks for making it all the better with this cache
We went and found the cache quite quickly, tricky hide. We got beautifully pan-handled by 'Maggie' on the way back to the car. She got $5 out of us, ostensibly for a new blanket. Thanks for the interesting cache.
Nice easy find. I would rate it at around a difficulty of 2 rather than 4, but that's just my opinion, and I've seen many of this type of hide before. But thanks for the cache.
Loved it, very clever and most original so far. Bit over the usual rock piles so a real pleasant change.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
I like this one , very well though out & to make it more real fo me it had been raining. looked for this one with torch.
Quick easy find -the GPSr showing me the way directly to the hide. Quite pleasant here in the shadows of the setting sun being thrown by the nearby trees. Dried and signed logsheet -I’m thinking this design may be flawed when heavy rain occurs? Thanks again WaddlesK for the cache -an enjoyable find, and a great place to get up close to the local parrots. Regards, 38degsouth -Melb, Vic.
Easy find. I cannot see it deserving a 4 star difficulty. However the log is so saturated that it could not be signed - needs some attention. Thanks
Both log papers are completely soaked and need to be replaced. Sorry - I didn't have anything on me to make repairs.
Like a couple of other cachers, I'd seen something like this before, so I spotted it after a couple of minutes. Great hide! TFTC!
Found on our October Outback trip. Great spot for a look around.
Check out the museum & gallery. Air museum definately worth a look.

Loved this cache. Geohubby was about to give up the hunt, but alas I saved the day and used my superior Jedi powers to locate cache. Woo hoo. Stoked.

Went for a quick stroll from the caravan park and a easy find though had to stop and think as workmen were nearby
Lokked for this cache a couple of years ago and gave up. Didn't think we would ever get back to Alice Springs, but Eureka! we have so gave this another go. Not quite instant success this time but persistence paid off. What a great hide.

The degree of difficulty nearly put us off trying to find this one, but we were going past, s decided to have a try, but no luck for us today. Perhaps we'll try next time we visit Alice Springs.
Had a great time finding this cache. Found in quick time only because of similar caches back home.
Found during our trip to Coober Pedy, Uluru, Kings Canyon and Alice Springs for the school holidays. TFTC!
If it wasn't for BantamCT's sharp youthful eyes, I'd still be there looking! Thanks for the cache WaddlesK.
Very clever hide, tricked one geodaughter as she was looking straight at it but did not think that it was GZ.

A simple grab.
Log is dry still and looks like there has not been any rain recently?

A very cleaver hide. I enjoyed looking for your caches while in Alice Springs. TFTC!
Maybe not quite a 4star, but still a neat hide - theres a few similar I've found around Darwin, so I was straight onto it. Little bit of water in the bottom, but tipped out and bag containing log was dry. TFTC. TNLN.
As mentioned in previous logs, I just stood and looked around and spotted it because we have seen that type of cache before. The old log book was soaked and unreadable so we replaced it with a new log book along a small plastic clip lock bag...all is good now. Thanks WaddlesK for the clever cache and hunt.
I was prepared to search for a while but this one jumped on my eyes already from far
Nice hide but surely not that hard to find.
Thanx for this cache!

Very nice hide and good camouflage. I sat on the stairs in the shadow next to the cache to have a short break on this hot day. TFTC!
Note for maintenance: Unfortunately the cache was filled with water. I tried dry it, but the log book is still wet.

Tried in vane to come up with the goods here, either it is way too clever for us or... it's AWOL
Great hide - very clever. Lucky my muggle friend, Penny was on the ball - she figured this one out!

to think that a few months ago i would have walked passed this and not known it existed. added extra log paper as the other was full. TFTC. dwhite774
WanderingAus wandered by on day 88 of a "climatic refugee" trip, heading South after almost 9 weeks in Darwin, and after a fair bit of searching managed a GAFF 1 find. The fact that I have installed many similar items at home alerted me to the "not quite right" nature of a great hide (the fourth of these that I've found as I recall, and possibly the best).
My find No 1712, the log book was damp and chock full, so I took the log book and mini ziplock bag out of one of my "just in case" micros and put it into the cache with the old one. I may have forgotten to actually sign that log, but my name is on the bottom of the stash note which forms part of the log.

I had a quick but unsuccesful search on the walk into town to shop. I had more time on the way back and made a quick find. Nicely done WaddlesK.
Found at 10:30AM on the 14th of August by Ray and Maya on our last day in The Alice. Easy find, hope to keep that standard up for the rest of the day. Thanks for the cache. The Nomads.
Walked up to this one and located it immediately, we have a very similar hide.

Quick find before heading back to caravan park. Like people before us, we found cache wet and was unable to sign. Interesting cache.
Like others we found the log too wet to unroll so signed on the outside. Nice precinct and we will look further tomorrow when we do the touristy things. TFTC
1081 The log book is both full and wet - couldn't sign it, so put my elephant sticker on the back page and hope it sticks. Easy find. TFTC WaddlesK
Oh, the log is full and was damp. The seal on the container must be a bit kaput. I'm sure when log is replaced, one of those little plastic bags would fit fine.
Once again, cheers for the find

Being just under .5 mile from my house, I've delayed looking for this until I had a free morning and with the car in for a service. Walked down, kicked around the bushes for a while and then noticed it. Great hide.
