Up this way with LuckyL10n for a few caches, but this one beat us. Tried a few areas but nothing revealed itself. Will be back another day I'm sure. Thanks anyway.....
Our second stop in Trunkey Creek and our second DNF for the day so far. Will try again when I get back this way
My GPS took me near the tank. I searched that, climbed up and felt on top. I checked the rafters in the building. I moved a few boulders and dug into the autumn leaves. They are very thick at present. I couldn't locate the cache, so a DNF.
A pretty red robin sat on a nearby branch and 'posed' for photographs.

My coordinates were slightly off and it wasn't till I walked away and looked from a little distance that I spotted the hiding spot. Well done on the hide.
Found it with NSW Lone Rovers past and present. Thanks guys for helping a noob. Easy access, sneaky but easy when you know how.

Linden/6 & Immyky, heading from Brisbane to ACT, following a few windmills along the way.
It would NOT be right to ignore all the caches en-route! LOL ...
Day 3, Orange to Goulburn.
Our 54th cache on this trip.
A nice quick find once the muggle walkers thinned.
Lots of campers nearby.
Left our mark & replaced as found.

Leaving Canberra for Bathurst, we decided to "go direct" and pick up some caches north of the Hume Highway
This is a nice little "rest area". Today, the local Police Vehicle was parked here - but no one was in attendance. Just being used to slow people down, we guessed.
It took a while at GZ to locate this cache. We found it in a fairly poor state. Replaced outer and inner zip bags and a new log.
Found at 3.40pm on 2nd January 2016. TFTC.

Quick find on our caching trip away. The cache was wet but we manage to put our sticker on it . TFTC
Found this one with the NSW Lone rover crew and a couple of muggles. This time our muggle friends eagerly beat us to the GZ and were holding it in their hot little hands before we knew it.
No luck today. My GPS wouldn't settle down to a GZ, so after looking under a few wet things, gave up.
Aaarrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh........................
yet again another DNF!
I shall be back!

The wind was blowing, the rain was falling, it was freezing and thankfully we found this one FAST. TFTC
Found by MoSS with Squire Squire. didn't venture to the other cache as too many muggles with inviting cold ones !

An interesting story to this cache. We were heading home from Sofala and decided to go via Goulburn to avoid the Blue Mountains traffic. This unexpected route saw us scrambling to add extra caches to our trip. This one turned up on the in-car navigator, but not the hand held GPSr. As such, we knew nothing other than that, 'there is a cache on our left.'
And so Chip, Dingo and I looked within a 20m area, but with no idea of even an approximate GZ we were unsurprised to walk away with nothing. Alas, I'd love to know why this cache was not on the GPSr!!!

After a nice cycle touring breakfast at the memorial park after the climb up from Abercrombie River back at the memorila park, we tried this one. Found the blackberry area but the gx eluded us.
#468 Camped over at Abercrombie Caves over the Easter weekend. This was the closest cache to the caves. I didn't try to find the other one because it hasn't been found for a long time now. Anyway, I got scratched by the thorns in retrieving this cache. I had to hide it under a different rock because there were kids approaching GZ. It's still in the area of GZ so hope that doesn't create any trouble. TFTC!
Another quick find, as the local convenient was being utilised... cheers... BTW watch the single blackberry bush... it bites!
Found this while out caching with TheWobblys and The-Don.
We were in the area for a week while staying at The Black Stump Hotel, Trunkey Creek.
Interesting history in the town and thanks for showing it to us.
Thanks Furterbrown

A bit tricky and overgrown, but with no one about we found it without too much trouble.
Very quiet at this time of the morning.
Thanks.

We needed the cover of darkness as the thorns and abundance of rocks makes it a little tricky to find.

Third time lucky.
Garden area over grown and a lot of thorns.
The rocks have it but which one.
No muggles about today.
With the cache found and the log signed it was a quick trip back to the pub for victory drink.
Thanks Furterbrown

We had just pulled up at GZ and had yet to start our search when a hint was delivered from a passing car to aid in our discovery. Needless to say we soon had the cache in hand and the log signed. TFTC
Out for a weekend's caching with Black Bunny. We could have chosen better weather - it rained and hailed and poured and there was thunder and lightning, and we got wet and muddy, and had no dry clothes to put on. On top of that, we took the dogs, so we had wet muddy dogs, with that distinctive wet dog smell, in the car all weekend as well. Black Bunny was very keen to get a few caches, as his average was dropping, whatever that means! I think we managed that, as he came home with a smile on his face.
We had a timely hint from a passing vehicle for this one. Someone just shouted the hint at us, as she passed. We were very grateful, of course, but it didn't help as much as we'd hoped. We still had a bit of searching to do before we came across the cache.

easy find but cache was very wet inside. Dried container and contents and replaced wet cliplock bags. Added drying agent. TFTC.
Finally! That was the last place I was going to look! (all set to come back when there was more light.
A lovely little town, and I know the woman to whom you credit the chicken schnitzel!

I am a very disorganised cacher. I take a loaded GPS but rarely have cache notes. It often works in my favour as preconceived notions sometimes seem to determine the outcome before you start (of course, I often waste time on a cache that is obviously missing too) Cache was in the second place I tried. Did the paperwork then saw two chooks literally charging at me. Smashed a handful of snails (which there seemed to be an over-abundance of in the garden) on the cement for them and they were very happy thank you very much. Not often you come across chooks that have trained the tourists.TFTH
Great spot for a cache, many possible locations here but like other cachers, I didnt leave a stone unturned. Soon had cache in hand.

Headed to Trunkey for the annual show and picked up cache along the way extra humans (100's) added to difficulty of the chase but we left no stone unturned!

Passing through, so we made Trunkey our lunch stop. Like previous cachers, we found only stinging nettles in the garden. Thanks anyway Furterbrown. At least you guided us to a nice little park with a picnic table and toilets.
Tried to find this one around lunch time on our way home from Bathurst to the Southern Highlands, travelling the back roads and caching as we go. Had a couple of Rhode Island red chooks scratch around as we had our lunch. Pulled out lots of weeds from the garden hoping to find the cache. After a lot of micros in Bathurst and surrounds this would be an ideal spot to putone.
Thanks Furterbrown for the hide and tha chance of going to Trunkey Creek

We looked for this one while on a trip to Trunkey Creek to visit our cousin at the Black Stump Hotel. There were four us and we also the services of the publican and bar staff and still couldn't find it. We moved everything in the garden but as hard as we tried we couldn't find this one. Will try again next time we are in the area. Great little town. A lot of history here. TFTC.
A recent trip to the area with Rogpol for a serrated tussock field day. Looked under and over, moved piles of autumn leaves. Didn't find though
A nice little spot in the drive from Bathurst to Canberra.
The log was only a couple of sheets of paper so we dropped off one of our emergency logs.
Took: Carabiner hook.
Left: Logbook, curly pencil and stickers.

Standing at GZ the name of the cache that popped up on the PDA had me double checking the listing name. But a read of the nearby notice board finally cleared up the mystery
A peek under there, a poke over there and a look under a few more things finally revealled a cache
'Twas a wee bit damp inside, but on a day like this everything was toasty dry again within minutes of opening
TFTC.
Watch out for the prickles

What a brilliant little rest stop, a real credit to the small town we were in. Took a while to find, then Ruff as Guts turned it up. It's wet. Needs Love.

IT was bordering on dark when we arrived at this one. Though after a thorough search we logged our finds and moved on. Cache contents are still damp. TFTC
No slip of the mouse this time. As always how did i miss it last time.
Lots of moisture in the cache. Log is damp. Drained out as best as i could.

I am pretty sure I had the right location, The grounds had been cleaned up for an event on the Saturday.
I met a wonderful lady and her daughter whilst there, while chatting they mentioned that I should have a meal at the pub, I explained that I was unable to, but had heard from another source that the pub was the place to go. I quickly explained that 9it was geocaching that brought me to town. They were quietly impressed with the concept and the fact that having a geocache in town literally put the on the world map so to speak.
I sugges that a cache check is in order as it appears to have disappeared.
PS,
if you wish to camp at the showgrounds, it is only $5 per night payable at the pub..... even has hot showers for a$1 for 10mins

This was my first cache on my trip to the event at Coolah Tops. Muggles about so waited 30 odd minutes. Once they departed located & made swaps - took tape, left a little piggy.
Found it ! This one had me scratching the head for a while. I should give up sooner. Caches, almost always are hidden in the place where you go to take "just one last look" after giving up and deciding it's not here anymore! I don't know how that works. TFTC SL Took padlock, can't remember what I left.

Shell found this one easily on our way back to the coast. It had been a while since it had been found and was well covered but we had a fair idea where it would be. The cache is a little damp though and could use a bit of drying out.

Heading for a week down the coast and thought we'd try the caches in this area again since other people have been able to find them! Mr G said he looked everywhere, Mrs G said are you sure? Mr G said one last look... The cache is extremely well covered. Very pleased to have got this one, inside of cache was just slightly damp. TNLNSL TFTC
A bit easier this time (we swear we looked there before!!!!!!!) A bit of upgrading was being done to the toilet block up the hill so had to be as inconspicuous as possible.
Another cache I missed logging. A short stop on the way back to Canberra from Bathurst.

Was a bit nervous after 3 DNF's, but it was a lovely spot to stop, and there was nobody around. Found it within about 5 minutes - good hide! TNLN, thanks again Furterbrown.
This one eluded us. We looked for ages, although there was a guy filling a tank with water nearby so the looking wasn't real intense, but alas we failed. Found some great places for hides, so maybe the cache needs to be checked, especially as there has been a few DNF now. TFTC anyway. Will be back some time for another try.
Called past on my way home. Today this little village was deserted in the summer heat, EXCEPT for the muggle family having a picnic mere metres from GZ. D'oh! Looks like I'll have to make another trip to TGW.

We looked and looked but did not find. We found a spot we thought it could have lived but there was no cache. Maybe worth a look.
The 4 Routers came for a drive and found this one today, on our second attempt. Nice little spot in this historic town. Nice hide thanks heaps Further............
Mental note to take a torch or go caching earlier! The nearby light was little use, so we will be back.
