No luck with this one. Had a good look under the wharf. Doesn't appear to be there.

Climbed down and had a good look but cache eluded me. Very slippery. Not sure if its still there after all this time. Will add to watchlist in case someone else has more success.

#940 Noticed this one sitting in car farther down the road, on the way home. Decided to back track when we saw it hadn't been found for nearly a year!!! Poor neglected cache. We loved the spot and the cache is all in good condition. No one about today. Nice to finish the day with a find a one of your caches. SL. TFTC. SmileSmile

Quick easy find. There was a lonely fisherman on the pier. Did not appear like he was having much luck. TFTC

Spectacular place to be of an evening. Really nice, thanks.

This has been the closest unfound cache to home (as the crow flies) for quite some time now. We visited the wharf a few months ago, but there were so many fishermuggles we did not even attempt to retrieve the cache. The tide was high too. Today this cache was first on our list, and we were in luck. The tide was out and the wharf was empty. A short scramble along the rocks and the cache was ours. Thanks.

This was the 4th attempt we had even tried to get close to this one. Every other time a small boy who attaches himself to Ryan won't leave us alone and since we didn't want to expose the cache we have had to leave. Miracles, today he wasn't there with his family and the cache was soon in hand. Finally!!!

Quick find, was busted by some muggle kids mid-flight. Removed resident GC just in case the cache gets muggled again. It should be safe, but you never know. Nice views with the tide half in or is it out.

Had an interesting chat to a couple of fisherpeople (who pulled in a reasonable sized kawhai) before sneaking off for the cache while they were taking shelter from the wind. Fun retrieval with the waves crashing on the rocks. Quick find.

Some Fishers were about the jetty so I had a good look around inside and out. Co-ords today had me quite away from the prize. Needed to P.A.F. to complete.

Got to GZ only to find 4 fishermen intent on their task. So intent were they in fact that we managed to locate and retrieve the cache without them noticing! Lovely location, very peaceful.

Came here at low tide expecting not to find anyone here. But that was not to be. There were three muggles fishing along with 2 small muggles. Talked to one of the muggles about caching and might have convinced him to partake. He assisted with the removal of the cache by keeping a lookout for me.

TNLNSL.
Cheers for the cache.

I thought that this one would be the last for this morning caching adventure but, alas, I arrived at about high tide and there were muggles everywhere. Four in the shelter and six outside. So there was no opportunity to do anything other than talk to the muggles.
Defitiely another day for this one.

It was blowing a gale when I arrived but there was still one old asian chap all dressed up in his wet weather gear fishing off the wharf. He was in the "perfect" position out of line of sight so I was able to discreetly hunt. Liked the clue! Thanks Glyn

Didn't even get out of the car, muggles must have got new rods for Christmas and were trying them out, will return.

After failing to find "Riverhead Rideout" I was feeling a bit sad,and so told the GPS to take me to this cache. It took me by a route that was partly new to me and was quite scenic.

Having been out of town and missed any chance of a FTF when this cache was listed I had no rush and had initially intended to go by boat (about 4 kms instead of by road 21km) but well, I was fairly close this morning.

I was relieved to find only one muggle about and he was sitting in a car as I parked. But I was worried enough that I cracked the clue. Luckily GZ was out of his sight so I set to work to make the find. The agility required was not quite at the limit for this superanuitant.
A minute or so later I finally sighted the cache and my magic stick did the trick to retrieve it.

#425. Lovely sunny Sunday with no one about. Mention of tools had me clambering over the pier until common sense prevailed.
Left Tumbleweed Geocoin. Be a nice photo for the coin owner if next cacher takes a camera. Left Jersey 2p; took magnets.

After mountain biking in the forest with TechnoKitten hoping for a FTF... and failed.. :0( we were looking forward to an easier find.
Yes we were in a car.. most embarassing... I feel like a cheat caching in a car.. Xena was resting in the garage at home..
Stopped here on way back towards home... Hmm seems easy enough..
Got very close.. only one muggle fisherman on wharf and having littl luck.
Clues... think.. hmmmm... clamber.. clamber.. no luck..
Flashed up PDA.. check clues.. hmm not under wharf...
Another sorte.... muggles coming down road...
TK got her claws out and soon honed onto hidey hole.. and long claws whisked it out..
Excellent spot..
TK signed log and we left calling cards.. I was guilty for not giving her log bag back.. sorry.. found later in my cache bag... Maybe next hunter will leave one.
Uplifted Tumbleweed Geocoin to move on and take some pics.

Hunting with the inimitable XenaCommander... mountain bikes on the back of the Carib rocket ship from an earlier hunt.
"the girls" - our motorbikes, were resting in the garage after a long haul up north last weekend.
An easy find for TK - a nimble retired rock climber swinging about on the rafters. Dainty paws whipped out the cache without need of tool. Muggles with nosey muggle children arrived in several cars so a hasty replacement resulted in log being replaced minus its bag and pencil.... sorry, hope we can return soon to put this right.
TN left Gecko keyring and calling cards
THanks for the lovely spot

When I saw this come up, decided, obviously like others, that it probably wasn't going to be one for the weekend.
A day off today and heading North for a lunch date, we decided to make the detour in here and at 1030 not a soul about.
Not sure what went wrong but on parking the car, the GPSr decided that we were on top of the cache. Got out walked around and still it pointed at the car! Whipped out the clue and made a quick find, our third FTF in three days.
Then tried to get a set of coordinates and now the GPS is telling the correct location, almost 20m from where it first indicated.
