Found at 10:55 AM GAFF1.Today we just wanted to meander around and do a few of the more interesting caches and this was first on the list. Arrived at the car park; looked at the GPSr and it said 145 metres to GZ! Now how hard could that be Headed off and found a nice track that went along the route that I had planned and all was going well even when the track suddenly went up nearly vertically However it wasn't that hard to put one foot in front of the other and keep going up - but those nasty bushes along the track especially those thorny evil ones certainly did some harm to my arms and shin! Even worse than what happened to our Defender a few days earlier on the Sandy Cape tracks!Got to the top and then there was a totally rusted barbed wire fence to traverse - now why is there one way up here - what stock are being stopped from traversing from one area to another? Well I was about to perform a "family jewel" extraction operation, when I noticed an old green ladder hanging over the fence about 30 metres away. So off I go - used it and went over without any danger to the "family jewels" and then got to GZ and thought - now don't tell me I have to go down there to search Well - yes you do [B)] So I gingerly stepped down and started to poke around and luckily I managed to see a "small" container (btw not a Regular - but a small) well hidden in a nook. After finding the cache I took a video of the view with the green fields all around - gosh it looked good. Then started on my way down which I thought was going to be harder than going up - but apart from a couple of tricky little spots with those blasted thorny dead bushes - it wasn't that hard. Maybe I managed to find the easy track that took about 17 minutes to get up and about 25 minutes to get down? Thanks to Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder - an excellent adventure
Found with Crafty Dusty and the geopooches on our road trip around Australia. TFTC!
Fantastic lookout and great views. Too hot and not adequately prepared to climb this one. Tftc.
Heading north with iluvtrekking but spending a couple of days in Geraldton to grab some hides. I can’t recall why we haven’t done this climb on a previous visit but it was on our ‘to do list’ for today. Lovely autumn day to do it and very happy to record our visit. The seats of the trousers sure showed the difficulty of the descent. Thanks Team Pathfinder
Heading north on a road trip with richlink enjoying the locations we visit and grabbing some caches along the way.
Quite the climb to the top, but the boys made it and enjoyed the view and cooling breeze before the difficult decent. Thanks for the cache, Team Pathfinder, and the physical challenge. A fave from us.

A quick road trip up from Perth to see the sights and find some select caches along the way. This one caught our eye and the short sharp scramble up the hill was worth it. Great views of the valley. TFTC
The decent was actually way worse than the climb. Shorty shorts weren’t ideal and I copped a few nasty scratches. Thanks for the adventure.
Now thats a climb - I will save that till Im fitter Bet its a beautiful view from up there.
Thanks for the climb! I think I got injured more coming back down than I did going up! But a great view.
We made the climb this morning as we thought perhaps this cache might be missing. Upon arriving it wasn’t in its’ spot but was soon spotted just down the hill. Ian climbed down and retrieved it. We decided to use the new geocache container we had taken with us and have left the old and a new log book. Please replace the cache carefully, ensuring it is held in place with the rocks.
Please be very careful when attempting this cache as the trail up is very steep and slippery.
Happy hunting.

PP1 May have arrived late to the party but after a 5 hour drive this one was the first on ‘his’ list. TFTC Team Pathfinder
IGD in Geraldton again with Barnzy12 in the passenger seat. We headed up late on Friday night with a “clean up” of remaining caches planned for the main day. Knowing from some posts that new caches would also be getting published today we knew we would be up for a bid day with the typical race. Our rest time was the event in the middle of the day. And a few hours in a basic motel. Sunday would also see a long day with minimal caches yet many KM travelled to find them! Thanks to all the CO’s for placing hides to be found.
Met here with a group and was a great run up to the top! Hav a Fav point.

A group of cachers met at the pre arranged time of 4pm and a Male bonding assault of Mr fratra, Mr parkacruz, Mr Atcatpacity, Cirrus_WA, Barnzy12 and Cravo10 set off. Mrs fratra, Mrs parkacruz and Mrs Atcatpacity set up the first aid post, cheer squad and paparazzi at base camp. Amid shouts of joy and texts of "have you taken a picture of us up here" the cache was found and the the log signed. We must say the ascent was far easier than the descent for Mr fratra. Awarding a favourite point for the adventure.
TFTC Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder this is find # 7439 for us.

Up in Geraldton for IGD so we took the opportunity to collect a few more smilies, we met up with a group to make the journey up the hill, the boys took one for the teams and ventured to the top whilst the girls were the photo and cheering squad down below, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smilie, a great cache with fantastic views, a favourite here TFTC Ian&Sue - TeamPathfinder

Up in Geraldton for the International Geocaching Day Event in Greenough.
We travelled up on the Friday evening after finishing work for the day. Up early Saturday morning to find a bunch of caches around town before working our way towards the historic settlement of Greenough going cache to cache.
We managed to pickup one FTF in the mornings batch before completing the caches on the list down towards Greenough. We enjoyed chatting with everyone at the event and the bbq lunch was great. After the event concluded we grabbed a few more caches before the phone started getting emails of all the new caches so we headed to the first one less than 300m from where we were and managed a FTF before being joined by fratra to collect another bunch of FTFs together before going to complete the adventure labs cache and then going our separate ways.
We continued along and cached our way back into town.
A huge thanks to West Oz Geocaching and Team Outnabout for hosting the event and the new caches aswell as the locals for their recent efforts in placing and maintaining a number of caches around town.
Thanks to the COs for their caches on this trip.

Headed up the hill with Fratra, atCatpacity, B12, C10 and parkacruz.
Although rather step and slippy in parts was a relatively quick hike up and we then split and started the hunt, fratra grabbed the cache and completed the signing duties while the rest of us enjoyed the view before heading back down which took a bit longer than the journey up as the steps were smaller and a bit more cautious (well for me at least)
Thanks Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 1734 for me.

Heading back to Nanson after battery replacement in Gero. Decided to make the climb before any rsin came in. I followed the ants all the wsy to the top. A slight deviation off the ant trail had me at gz with the cache in hand.
Thanks Ian and Sue for the cardiovascular workout and the cache.

It’s just not our day! Denied access to the caches across the road when we rang, so we’ll get this one we thought!
Clambered up to GZ. No worries!
Searched for well over 30 minutes but could not locate the cache.
Found what is probably the remnants of the previous container.
It crumbled in our hands!
Let's hope we do better from here on!

Headed up to Geraldton for 4 days to try and find as many caches as we could. Its been 6 months since we were last there and there has been so many new caches come out that we will need another trip there to find them all. We ended up finding 215 and about a dozen DNFS. We picked a few up on the way and did a detour on the way home to Mullewa and i must say the wildflowers are beautiful at the moment. We found a great variety of caches including a couple of wherigo,s, lots of field puzzles, multi,s and the highlight for the hubby was doing the chirp cache. I would like to say all caches were found quickly but that definately wasnt the case lol.... There was some very tricky and sneaky hides that took quite a while to find with a few we went back a couple of times to till we found them. We managed to find a few that we previously had DNFS on and it was was great finding a lot of creative cache containers especially some of the field puzzle ones. Thanks to everyone for the caches and hope to find a lot more on our next trip to geraldton....
We headed over to our cache this morning, climbed the hill and replaced the whole cache. Whilst there we sat in the beautiful sunshine and took in the magnificent view, paddocks of yellow (canola) and green as far as the eye can see. We really enjoyed reading through the old log book which contained many entries from non-geocachers who had found this cache and had written quite lengthy logs. They was a fantastic surprise to find.
There are many beautiful wildflowers blooming in the area at present, we managed to take heaps of photos - never get fed up with taking photos of flowers and plants.
thanks to everyone who have taken the time and effort to make this climb and leave us logs.

Hi there Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder.
We found your cache **"Not Your Run of the Mill!" **at 12:26:00 PM today, so this makes our find count 14415.
Another beautiful sunny day to be out and about. There were plenty of wonderful views and wild flowers to look at today. Lots of credit must go to Mr Forbs for permitting geocaches to be placed on his land.
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.
Without Geocaching as our guide we would never have visited so many wonderful places today.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

From the lookout I could see where this cache was probably hiding
Aw c'mon !!
4½ stars !!
I could run up that
So off I went !!
'Bout 10 minutes later and ....
.... Look Ma !! King of the world
Seems I overshot GZ a tad though
And a short scramble back down,
found me a likely cave to hide a cache

What a cache! What a view! Miss 7 was so brave. We made it out alive. Dead kangaroo wasn't so fun. Stay east of the fence line for the first part. Bring pants. Tftc
I think that this has to be one of my favourites so far... Not only because of the quality view we were rewarded with at the top, but because of how awesome it was to experience this with my beautiful friends, (Mahsim & tea hippy) and our miss 7 who was determined to get to the top and down with minimal help. What a team we were today. I'm so proud of us!!
Nearly 70, I don't know why I do this sometimes but I wasn't going to let a regular cache get away, being so close. Glad I had my water on such a hot day. Thanks for the hide.

We made it too this cache however could not sign the log as there was a rather large snake within very close proximity, see photo as evidence. Absolutely stunning views and great exercise opportunity. Great way to start the week
When I (puff) got to the (puff) top, I was impressed (puff) by the view. Don't know if there is an easy way up from the car park, I stopped level with the cache on the access road and went straight up the hill from the West. I don't recommend it - it is quite steep and the footing is treacherous and it requires a bit of crawling. It would help with this type of cache, if the originator would put in some sort of clue as to the best way to access the GZ. Anyway, found it and signed the log while I was waiting to recover. TNLNSL TFTC.
Wow! That was a challenge! Found with Magpie51 and half of jrlt! Geo L from jrlt did amazing with his little legs! The incline was pretty quick the decent much slower!! We noticed another cacher had found this one just before us however we must have passed each other unseen! Brilliant stealth! Haha! We have taken a trackable to move along! TFTC
TFTH Awesome view and a reward for the climb. Thank goodness for company as I would not have attempted it alone. Young member geo L from team JRLT, was great!! Well done to all of us. Thanks Team Pathfinder
Wow, what an amazing place to put a cache. Managed to make it up the side of this mountain to retrieve the cache not to much of a struggle. The return trip however proved to be of a different story, but never the less didn't lose to much bark of the body and made a safe return to the geo car. With a few other members of a couple of different cacheing teams. Thanks for the cache
Dropped off a challenge for who ever wants to take it traveling.

Great geocache - especially if your a mountain goat. No pencil in cache so take your own. Great view , well worth the climb
Found this one with my son, however the trackable listed here was not in the container.
Great way to spend the full moon...up a lookout over looking the west....should get a great view any minute....Great energetic climb up this one....should have worn sneakers however.....Great spot tftc.
Heading north for a weekend and called in to find this cache on the way up.
Found the cache without problems just on dusk after making a careful climb up the track to GZ. Had to make a more careful descent in the failing light.
Thanks Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder for the cache.

Found, on our first day caching around Geraldton.
A nice hill climb to start the day, to get the heart pumping.
The cache well hidden, in a good spot to give nice views of the area.
Enjoyed it, and worth a favourite point from us.

OMG! HARD CLIMB UP...HARDER COMING DOWN.great spot awesome views...time to watch the footy.TFTC! NO trackable in there tho.
Took a drive out to do some cache maintenance, this one needed a new lid so we swapped for a brand new container with new trades and new logbook.
Today to view was spectacular, green wheat and canola fields shimmering in the sunshine. Fingers crossed for the rain promised later today and tomorrow so that these fields will keep growing.

Went lookin for this one today pretty sure I was very close but gps wouldnt work so ill try again another day
The Chapman Valley looked beautiful from GZ...much greener than in many of the photos included by other cachers at hotter times of the year. This was one of the rare caches where we didn't have the camera with us. Duh! The cache was found easily....the lid is broken (which might have something to do with the heavy camouflage )but the contents are all clean and dry.
I think most of the 'man eating' ants must have headed home for happy hour (it was 5o'clock at Mill's Lookout) as we only saw a few stragglers. Very nice to have a few strategically placed bushes to grab onto while scrambling up or slipping down
Thanks for another excellent cache Ian&Sue. This is the first cache to go on our list of 'awaiting a favourite point' which we will log as soon as we earn it. We have used up several favourite points while staying in Geraldton....just goes to show the standard for the caches in the area. [^][^][^]

What an awesome find, best cache so far always wanted to climb one of those hills and finally had a good reason to do so, took the Australia GeoCoin and will be placing in a new cache at the most westerly point of Australia!! TFTC
Amazing view! Found with help of the Ratho's. Definitely not recommended if your wearing thongs. Slippery coming down but well worth the hike!!
Once I had found the beginning of the track up it was a short quick climb up to GZ, however when I reached the top it took a few minutes to locate the cache. After signing the log and returning the cache I headed up further to a great 360degree view. Upon starting back down I noticed an ambulance approaching from Nabawa , which turned into the lookout carpark ( I immediately thought Mrs Blingg had called them in case I fell on the descent ) upon reaching the base again and a short natter to the ambos we were all on our way again

Thanks for the hide. Amazing view from up here thanks for takeoff me here. Not too bad getting up here but I think getting down safely will be a little harder.
wow, this is a truely awesome cache! after a morning of a couple dnf's, i decieded it was time to tackle this cache....and im very glad i did! i parked up, threw my hat on and made for the bush. 20 metres up the hill, and this truck driver was well and truely out of puff!! i soldiered on, accidently startled a kangaroo about half way up, the roo struggled go get traction and did 2 complete rolls before he got his footing, poor bugger dusted himself off and appeared to be find as he raced up the hill with bounds that looked to be 2 metres long going straight up hill. after a 15 minute climb, i made the top and quickly made my way to gz. just before the last step down, a rock slipped under my foot and i fell back with gps in hand...the garmin now bares a couple scar's, a small price to pay for a challenging cache! what an amazing place this is! i signed the log book, and placed an Australian geo-coin and my own Jacks surfboards travelbug in for future travels. i sat in the sun for 45 minutes just enjoying the peace and the beautiful winter scenery. thanks for bringing me here Ian & Sue, a cache i will always remember! TFTH, lost_but_happy!
[:(!] Mrs GrumpyBump and I did a weekend caching run to Geraldton, while in Geraldton we picked up a few caches before heading back to Perth, on arrival we parked the geocar about 400 meters from GZ and I headed off to make the climb to the top, after a lot of scratches on the arms and legs I finally made it GZ and within minutes I had the cahe in hand. TNLTBSL TFTC/TFTH
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I'm making the call, this is the best bush cache I've done yet. I have to admit, I'm a sucker for elevated and precarious caches and this one ticks both boxes. Thank you Ian & Sue for the highlight of my Geraldton caching! XD
Just arrived back in town and I had to check out this cache. I've done this climb a few times over the years, this time I took my dogs up with me and once again they made it look easy. Great views at the top and luckily we all made it back down alive as well. TFTC.
Good climb for two oldies but the view and the wildflowers were worth it. Left a biro, TN. Thanks Ian and Sue. Squash2

One of my favorite escapes in Geraldton ~ found by accident and has got me onto Geo Cache ~ thanks people an awesome spot
Nice view and nice climb. its amazing how far 100m is when its uphill. Only a 4.5 for terrain, on a hot day like today I would have put it closer to 7 or 8. I found it more dangerous coming down than going up. I'm glad it was an easy find once I arrived at the GZ

What a challenge to finish off 2009 with. Struggled to get up but made it in one piece only to be faced with the dilemma of how best to get back down. Forwards on my backside seemed good so I could stop any sliding with my feet plus see where I was falling...uh, going. Hubby suggested backwards so I could drop flat on my face if I began to tumble and stop in that way. Jump or fly seemed the quickest and easiest options but because we had more caches to do we decided again it. It took a combination of forwards and backwards in stops and starts but I did get down to a huge sugh of relief; on both our parts I suspect! Happy new year!
As it was blistering hot this morning. I stayed in the trooper while Mr Bushies2 went up and found it. Unfortunately there were many dead animals dumped near the car park, not a pleasant sight to see. However the scenery was great. Thanks Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder for bringing us to the cache and hunt.
I held my breath as I passed the goat offal that had been dumped by some inconsiderate sole at the start of the walk. A challenging walk up and an even more challenging descent. TFTH.
Puhh, don't do it in the heat! Bt it is worth doing it. Thank you for showing this view!

This is not egzacly a hard cache it is easy with the right equipment.but for thoughs watching be careful in the roof i found a snake so just be careful with yourselves please.
I'd probably drive by a hundred times and miss the opportunity to appreciate the maginificent view. Didn't see the snake!!! Thank goodness!!! No ants and loved the green surroundings. TNLN TFTC
