A really interesting ride in by vehicle but I would think a great bike ride as well. Found the area but didn't find the cache maybe next time
Thanks

Couldn't find this cache - try as I might.

Looks like the grass around the base of the tree where GPSr was pointing has been sprayed or something. Dead grass all around.

Maybe I was looking at the wrong clue

The vehicle Road/track nearly turns into a walking track had to stop a few times to clear the fallen branches . Found easily when I got there. TFTC

Drove most of the way to the cache only stopping 160m short when a branch was in danger of scalping the top of the car. Not much room to turn around but managed. Would not recommend driving if wet, the track is well rutted. Cache easy to find at location.

A quick find with no swops. You could tell Autumn is here as I could hear leaves falling.

No problem with this one, TFTC.

Found this one, don't think my scooter would have made it all the way to the cache site. Left geocoin.

Drove most of the way to the cache, and enjoyed the quick walk to the final location. Entertained the cows along the way, who followed us all the way along the fenceline. TNLN, TFTC.

Nioce little drive into the hinterland and walk to the cache just as dusk fell - lovely spot. Thanks.

28-Jul-07
Didn't want to risk it in my 2WD car so ran down the track. Quick find and a run back.

26-Jul-07
You mean people actually drive to this cache?? Good grief!! Walking is much more fun. I did the short wander along the stopbank, where a large herd of young steers came frolicing over to meet me - I was glad of the fence!! The cache was just where I had guessed as I approached. No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(866)

Just plain run out of time for this, getting cold too. Will try another time when we come back. Off to the North Island.

Tough little Bitsprayer cache. Nice clue though. Really tested the 2WD! Needed some really old skills.

31-Mar-07
The spiders where in flight and their trailing cobweb kept brushing agianst us as we walked in. Quite peaceful in here. TNLN.

This was an after work excursion and at this time of the year, DARK! Took the 4WD right to the cache (feel 2WD would be alittle optimistic). Saw many tall thin trees around. TFTC took squeezy ball, left lizard. Was going to leave TB, but looking at the logs the traffic is infrequent.

We couldn't drive very far in our car but that was ok. Very nice walk. Spent most of the afternoon here, did some fishing, very nice day. No trades

Drove most of the way to it.
Lots of rabbits around, even in the middle of the day.
TNLNSL.

Warm but mostly overcast today. Nice easy find. Picked up very snazzy Florida GC to be dropped a bit further south in a couple of weeks. And of course the kids insisted on toys.

- GC, snake, frog.
+ pom-poms, flasher, christmas decoration

1278. Our first find of the day. We walked the last 200 metres and that was probably a wise choice!

+ Florida #3 geocoin

hehe - I was out here last week measuring up our Volvo Loader for a new cutting-edge - and when I saw the new cache on the site last evening - I pretty-mush knew exactly where it was - within a 200metre radius.

GPS brought me to within a few metres of what was obviously the place.

A very pleasant stroll with Pippi, on a pleasant evening after work.

TNLN

Cheers Bitsprayer.

p.s.
We are intending to get back into placing heaps more caches in the coming weeks.
We still have lots of "unknown" spots to show to all in here.
