I thought I searched all the possible places, but my flexibility may not have fully come back after my recent surgery.
After getting a few plums nearby as we did the foraging adlab, I figured I would look for this. A quick find. The cat that frequents the park showed little interest! Tftc. #10167
We feel like we are getting good at this game. No doubt the next one will get us as many have . Thanks for the hide
A couple of detours on the way home from work. Thanks for bringing me to this quiet peaceful corner. Great hide. Only found it when I realised I had knocked its out of place. Happy to add a favourite point. Thanks for the smiley.
Logged this cache after Kiwimykl replaced it. Hopefully the FP I give it will count towards my latest GCHQ challenge.

I came here with NZDi (Mrs Kiwimykl) to grab this favourited hide to give her some points for the latest GCHQ challenge. Given the previous log was a DNF by a cacher with over 10,000 finds, I came prepared with a replacement, which was needed. All good to go again.
Of course NZDi signed the new log.

A nice quick find thanks, the the container fell a wee way and had to stretch to get it. I'm sure that I've been here beore, and now I have the smiley. Cheers.
Ms_KR and I drove from Kaikoura to Blenheim today and pick up a few smileys. There was some drizzle and some rain, and when the evening came along it got cold!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Back in Action thanks to a local cacher Kiwimykl . So all good to go but will also use this to remind cachers WARER NEARBY Please watch our younger cachers!!!
Could not find but did meet a friendly cat siting in the area....wonder if the cat ate it?
Getting dark, so gave up on this one after 5 mins of scouting around. Lots of rubbish, sadly.
No joy here...so many flaxes...
needle in a haystack job.
Can not believe the bounty of delicious plums on the ground in this community orchard all over the ground going to waste...

It was a pretty hot afternoon to do anything really. Did the "slip, slop, slap" thing and spent a couple of hours touring around Blenheim looking for a cache or two, or three. The aroma of plumbs filled the air, reminded me of mum making jam. A surprisingly quick find. TFTC
Thanks for reinstating this cache - we are headed to the sounds so will take trackable with us and put it somewhere cool.
This one almost had me - spent 20 mins with the kids hunting the flax and then as an afterthought decided to look slightly differently and then it was an easy find

All good to go Thank you very much Kiwimykl's for stepping in and helping out . Please note now is a micro and you will required to bring your own pen .
Dropped by this afternoon and replaced cache on behalf of CO. Keep an eye out for changes to cache page that will reflect new configuration and coordinates. Dropped TB.
I caaried out a cache check on behalf of the CO this afternoon.
Looks like it has gone. When I found it, it was located in the flaxs that were on the bank now covered in juvenile grasses, see photo). I checked the flaxs on the stream side of the path just in case, but couldn't find it there either.

Not here - seems like this one should be replaced or archived after 6 months of DNFs.
Didn't find sadly I believe the geocache is no longer there, as the flax on the bank has been removed.
Staying in the Sounds for a week or so, so taking the opportunity to find a few caches that have sprung up since my last visit. What a great spot to visit. Collected a few plums while here.

spacenarwhale and I were heading home early from our Blenheim outing (just too hot!) and decided to visit this orchard to eat our lunch and find a cache. There were a few fruit pickers around, but no one near GZ. I found the container reasonably quickly and signed the log. Then I had to wait a while to return it, as a couple of pickers had climbed a nearby tree to get the "best" fruit.
Thank you for the cache and to bringing us to this orchard.

After checking the movement of rain clouds, we packed up and decided to head north for a few days' adventure! I had all active geocaches I have not found yet in the South Island loaded on the GPS, but not particular plan as we only decided that morning. We ended up finding quite a few cool caches and had heaps of fun! Such a great area to visit, certainly did not mind coming back for this one! The plums are great atm! TFTC!!
In town from Christchurch for Mr12s soccer tournament...not a lot of time for caching; but managed a quick stop and find here on a 30min cache adventure in the late afternoon before needing to round up the boys for tea! What a lovely area...had to wait for an eldery gent resting on the nearby seat to move on before making the find and sign...Cheers.
This morning my wife and I had a good long sleep in after a night of indulging in the local product. After visiting a few wineries yesterday we had a stash to babysit. With no real plans our day was going to be made up of tourist activities and caches - the perfect mix.
One of the tourist activities we had planned was to visit K-Mart ????? Normally one question mark is used to indicate a question. Two question marks can indicate either a crazy question or a statement mistaken for a question. 5 question marks is only used to mark total insanity beyond comprehension.
We stopped into to visit the orchard and this place is actually quite amazing. We found the log and the cache and now we need to find K-Mart ????? tftc

Fun find. Got to go rummaging a bit. After we found the burnt log it was easy!!

We were heading to Blenheim today to fulfil the current Mystery at the Museum souvenir challenge, just find thirty five caches to return the jewels to the vault. Well that is not likely to happen around Nelson with out some pretty hefty or long hill climbs, so Blenheim was our chosen destination. I had made a list of likely caches that we could find, only problem was I forgot to bring the list with us. So we just intended on driving around picking up any that were nearby.
What a lovely area, it looks as though there is going to be daffodils in the spring time, the grass is not mowed and there are clumps of spring bulbs poking up amongst the long grass.
Thank goodness that GK was there today, as I hate searching in flax as I hate spiders and they seem to think that flax makes an ideal home. The coordinates were pretty close and the hint had GK approaching from the correct way. He fond the burnt log then the cache was soon in hand.
We decided to sit in the orchard and have a cuppa, which was a delightful experience for me as Sam a local cat came and made friends. Sam had a collar with his name and address on it. He was such a smoochy cat who ended up on my lap snuggling while we had a cuppa. He followed us as we headed back to the truck, luckily a couple of kids came and took him away with them.
Thanks for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

How could I have missed this last time. It only took a couple of minutes searching in the flax. It seems no-one has signed it since it was replaced either. Replaced in the same place but undercover a bit more by the log.
I did 3 circuits around this bit of flax, searching the edge of the border on both sides of the path and under the edge of the flax but nothing. I didn’t fancy crawling into the flax so called it not found.

This cache is now available please remember to bring your own pen . Also please rehide as it was
Ill come over that way in the next month and recheck this cache last time was a matter of cache creep and the time before was still as placed
No luck for me here either in spite of good search. I found some nice plums though! No finds on this cache for two years, can it please be checked?
I like finding older caches but this one eluded me today. So much flax. So many options (and even several containers present). In the end I gave it away early as still have heaps of local caches to find in Blenheim. Enjoyed eating some plums in the orchard however. What a great idea for a community resource.
A quick find while going for an evening stroll with jojo74. I was not hopeful of an easy find, but after studying previous logs we had an idea of what side to look from. No muggles across the stream, unlike the last time I was here, so a quick find and glad to finally knock this one off the list. Thanks stretch0.
Today we mostly targeted PnG caches to help boost our July numbers to go towards a challenge in the North Island, The weather was sunny but still with a chilly wind so was always warmer in the car than out of it. We managed 57 cache finds and ended the night on a high note with a FTF in the fresh snow and dark at St Arnaud. Overall we totaled 107 finds for the weekend - blowing the challenge out of the water!
Back again nearly 3 years later to turn this blue face into a happy yellow one. I remembered this location so knew we could be in for a long search so I was super excited that it was found very quickly - luck mustve been on our side today. Nice to find such an oldie. Thanks for the cache

A bit of caching in the late afternoon. Sun and shine, nice.
Second time at this one. Didn't find about 4 years ago!

Flax finds aren't the best and particularly in the pouring rain, but Giant and I decided to attempt it anyway. We'd been looking for some time with a jumpy GPS and considering leaving it for another day when Giant made the find. Tftc!
It was getting dark, phone was going dead, trying to use the light from the phone to find. Was not sure which side of the path I side be on. GPS was all over the place. TFTC
We don't like caches in flaxes and having read various logs we hadn't really made any real effort to find this one although we had enjoyed a walk in the orchard. Today we thought we would make a decent effort and with a hint from a previous finder we had it in hand quickly. Thank you Stretch0.
The difficulty finding this cache might just make it easier because there's more than one As the cache name claims this orchard is absolutely delightful but on previous visits we found the muggle factor to high. Another hint by a fellow cacher narrowed the search area down enough to finally nail this one. Muggles most interested but across the creek were discounted this time. We're sure they never find what we did. Even so there's still the original Thank you Stretch0
With a couple of recent finds confirming this is still there, and a nice fine day to scramble around in a flax bush I decided it was time to hunt down this elusive cache. Found after a bit of crawl through the bushes. Relatively quiet, must be too hot and windy to be outside. The container replacement by the CO at the start of 2014 - mayonnaise jar is still there. I suspect that the original is under there somewhere too. Coordinates were pretty good, around 5m. TFTC
Needing a break from some of the drama going on in my life at the moment, I stepped out of the front door and went for a walk down the road. Nek minnit I discover I am in this park which has two unfound caches in it... how did that happen?
Checking my pockets, I discovered I still had a pen from my last caching adventure, so I lit up c:geo and started searching using the hint... and detailed instructions from a friend who also had recently found this cache. Despite the instructions, it wasn't an easy find and the container (complete with log and several well known local signatures) did not match the one described in the hint. Methinks the original may have suffered from 'cache creep' and was replaced by the CO and now there are two caches being found and logged.

Found the needle...Mayonnaise jar lid blends perfectly with the colour of the flax...A good spot!!

I enjoyed the walk through the orchard and found the amazingly clean, flowing stream
Not something I would ever see back in Oz !!
But it was apparent that this cache hide is a damn 'needle in a haystack' !!
Or more correctly 'cache in a flax-stack'

We liked the reserve chosen for the cache, but were unsuccessful in our search for the geocache.
This is why I like geo caching. It takes you to cool places that you would not have seen but for the cache. Helped myself to some fruit. Would not have found the cache without the seagnoids help. The cache was very difficult to find if the GPS is flakey.
Coordinates might be a wee bit out, or maybe just my phone GPS. Either way, found it at night with a little assistance from Arandee. Cftc
Dug around in the flax but couldn't find it - gave up upon encountering a massive spiders nest. Bummed.
AGAIN this cache remains elusive. Had a super search today but was overcome by spiders, roaches and all manner of itchy, scratchy things. We are admitting defeat, we will leave this kind of hide for the more intrepid among us. Thanks anyway.
Found one here but suspect it's not the one intended, as was last found Sept 23rd (which is consistent with the log from that date as the one I found wasn't a pill container). Kept searching for a bit to find the 'proper' one but the flax got the better of me.
The dottiest of dot days and my streak into double trouble, double figures, must be time for a cache.
Grabbed this on earlier today as an option for a nearby but not too close cache. Those closer ones are being saved for other park and grab emergencies.
Had to enlist the help of a previous/recent finder as this nemesis cache has eluded me for at least five hunts and over a few years now. So glad to have found the hide, I was just too far from the stream in the heart of the flax each time I searched. No problems today and signed up and replaced as found.
Lovely stream passing by, such wonderful colours

Found it before my lovely wife. Hope you have more luck tomorrow Sharyn haha. BOOM!
This one didn't take too long once my GPS had sorted itself out. What a great little park and one that I did not know was here until today (only be in Blenheim for 28 years!) so that was good. I don't know why more people haven't discovered this cache...it is a beaut place. I also liked the idea of the little anti moisture canister inside, good thinking. Thanks StretchO
Just noted over 2 hundred have hunted it down plus others who have hunted so have no idea where I got the idea that it was seldom found?!

[green] I am starting to go stir crazy - I haven't been out on the bike for a while. So the hell with study and the possibility of rain, today is the day to escape from the military, for a short cycle from the Air Force base to the coop drain just south of Blenheim and back.
Nice little park this, but man, it could use a hair cut. As my recruit corporal would say, "How can I expect you to repair aeroplanes if you can't even get a simple hair cut? Hey? Hey??"
I hate flax caches at the best of times, and the lady on the balcony over the stream didn't know anything about it (I was hoping she would give me a hint. Found it eventually - this is definitely a difficulty 2 cache!
