Logs
Stoped for lunch here on our days caching TFTC Did not sign log as container lid has hole in it and contents were soaking!
As Wotefa said. No log signed as very wet. Normally I would be carrying spare bags and a log but have not restocked my bag after coming back from Holiday.
No way to sign a logbook. As mentioned by other cachers the lid is broken, the cache is full of water and the former logbook did not survive the swimming lesson. Sent mail to owner.
As lots of other cachers have already logged - the cache lid is broken, contents have been water logged, no way to dry out or leave dry paper or log book in its present condition. Listed trackable isn't there either. Needs a complete replacement of cache & contents.
Muggles were here when we arrived so went to other local caches. Area quiet on return so a quick find. As others have logged, top damaged and contents very wet. We signed a piece of paper and put it into the cache. TNLN
Quick easy find at 1245. As per previous log the container is badly damaged and the log book is soaked. Left a piece of paper with my find on it in the container. TNLNSL TFTC
Cache found easily but the method of hiding means that the lid is busted and the log is saturated. Had spare paper but not the means to keep it dry. Thanks ennywai markanddeb.
Easy find - unfortunately the cache and logbook are completely wet and the box is damaged - thus not entry in the logbook. The TB was not there either.

Found easily enough, but couldn't sign log as it was well and truly sodden due to broken lid. Left our calling card, but cache container needs replacing. Need to consider weight that covering rock puts on the lid - perhaps a deeper hole to avoid direct contact?
Yep, jellywobbler had pointed it out already, this cache IS wet and needs some maintenance.
We emptied the water out of the cachebox but had no stuff to replace or repair it.
Anyway, TFTC

Cache lid is cracked. I managed to straighten it out but it is not weather tight. Perhaps a new container needed?

Ended up at wine mud house, bugger got it wrong , went on to the right spot, and how nice it is.
9.15am. Quick find on way to Hanmer. The lid is broken and will let the water in.
Thank you. David and Noeline.
Thank you. David and Noeline.
Found it on a stinking hot day. Kids loved all there was to see there. Then onto the wine Mud House for some refreshments. Happy kids and adults.
Good area for a cache and we found quickly even with younger muggles about. We LOVED the aviary nearby

Quick find, afraid the water tightness of this cache has been compromised. The lid is cracked, and there has been some moisture ingress.

found with yo-mum and cents-less, before i had my own handle. thanks for playing a part in getting me into caching =)
only had time to stop for one cache today, and this was the one! thanks for the cache and the chance to stop on a long car trip!
Quick find on a morning tea stopover travelling north. The lid of the cache container is cracked and there was water inside - I empted it out but it needs attention. Log was reasonably OK in its protective plastic bag. Signed log, TFTC
Our third cache in Amberley this morning. After a few minutes searching the geokiddies took off to the playground while Mr & Mrs kept searching. After about 5 minutes, Mr B retreated to the car for the clue. As he started the decoding Mrs B pulled out the cache - doh! Why hadn't we looked there before ???? As previous cachers have mentioned, lid has been broken - cache was full of water - dried it in the sun for a few minutes before putting it back! TFTC
3rd of 3 on a quick morning walk around Amberley. Needed to wait until muggles left the playground so we could recover the cache. NINO, TFTC
This containers lid is broken, looks like someone dropped the rock on it head too hard. Content still dry but I think it won’t be too long if it rains.
Wow what a park came around the corner from the front and walked around the side of the Mud house. Got hit by the aroma of the scented roses, Great to see these still exist as I still believe smell is much better than looks for flowers. Found Rewi Alley’s Ginko tree, too. There were a few workers cleaning the park off rubbish so I had to be very stealth so not to get muggled. Found cache easily – TFTC TNLNSL (347)
Found while on our way to Hanmer Springs. Nice little spot.
No sign of Tbs or geocoins in cache.

Found cache, none of the Listed TB's or GC were in residence - have feeling someone has forgotten to log their retreivals. Cache log suggests that mollymop and bird flu have taken coins from cache but no sign of this on logs online
Found at 1:57pm.
Kids had a swing we had a hunt and found the cache.
Muggles around but none the wiser.

Had a beautiful day here, the birds were awesome to watch and they DO talk back, TFTC! Dropped off a GC.
What a beautiful place for a cache. The birds were lovely to talk to and, yes, they talk back !! Took happy face eraser, left geo coin. TFTC Nana_Mac.
A very wet and cold day and a find that nearly had me fooled. I really thought the mud house was going to be it. TNLN Thank you.
Found by Little Explorer (7). Also checked out the aviary which was cool. TFTC.
Enjoyed looking at the different birds in the aviary nearby.
Didn't see any travel bugs in the cache.

What a lovely little park and the aviary is really nice to stop and look at too. As is so often repeated on these pages, we didn't know this was here! LOL
A quick find after some muggles moved on.

Listed TB not in cache, and all 4 last loggers have noted this. Perhaps time for the cache owner to mark it missing.
Easy find. pity about the vandalism in the toilets. Why the cache name? Can anyone tell us. Thanks.

Another lesson in "update your info before geocaching" - obviously did not find - had a good hunt around in the area though..
sorry to all,but unfortunatly this cache appears to have been muggled again for the 2nd time, we have disabled the cache indefinatly or until another hiding spot enables its reinstatement, sorry for any lost TB's with this muggling, and any inconvienience this may cause.
Second cache find for the day and still following STOW around. Failed on one up the road so wandered down to this one instead. Muggles popped up as we had the cache in hand, so it enjoyed some time by the aviaries until the coast was clear. TNLN Cheers!
This was the first in a 10 cache raid in North Canterbury. The cottage has been very nicely preserved.
Thanks,

The second find of the day with my Indian son in law. He found it quickly and left an Indian note worth so many rupees but really only worth about 30 cents. Took the marble. TFTC Hatas
2nd time around, stopped off on the way North, It was where we knew it should have been. Thanks for replacing it.

Good One!
Got a phone call from the grandparents earlier in the week saying "good news, we have scored the grandkids a jungle gym and a wendy house, bad news is you will have to come and collect it." So we set off from Blenheim to Christchurch to pick it all up and on the way did this very cool cache.

Had to wait a while for some very slow oldies to wander away before hunting, so took the dog for a wander. Got pretty dirty knees getting it out! TNLN, Thanks.
A couple of muggles out for an early morning stroll but a bit of patience was rewarded an easy find. -ball & stickers +marble & sunglasses cord.

Found this time. On my way through to CHCH and there it was, exactly where I thought it would be (had some practice searching for this one a couple of weeks ago).
