Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Out on a once-in-a-lifetime vaction tour of Australia! I just had to pick up a couple of caches while I was here and also introduced a member of our group to geocaching. Sorry, no luck on this one.
We searched and searched not sure if the fence is newer than the fence that it was placed under?
This was frustrating not to find. We spent a good 20 minutes searching then had to sit and wait half an hour for muggles to eat their lunch before searching again for another 20 minutes. We couldn't find anything near to GZ. The fence is still there so I'd be surprised if it had been muggled? Maybe we're just suffering from cache blindness today? Awesome spot though
We loved our walk in this area. We are visiting for a couple of days and had a work retreat at the nearby lodge. After a day of work, we had the opportunity for some walking and I decided to head this way. The views are spectacular and we found a safe way to GZ without climbing over the fence.
Thanks

earlymorning walk to a beautiful area TFTC. Yes the cache is there, but behind fencing.
Can confirm that the cache is in good condition however the area it is in is behind fencing keeping people away from the washed out area.

Since the floods there has been quite a bit of damage to the rail up there it might be worth checking it's condition once it is repaired.
Great Cache, thank you. We made a day walk out of it: starting at O'Reilly's we visited the Python Rock Lookout, found the Cache and continued on a roundtrip via Balancing Rock, Moonlight Crag, Orchid Grotto and the overgrown Lyrebird Lookout back to the campground. The track is well marked, but a bit overgrown. About 4-5 hours, depending on how long you need to search for the cache and your breaks.
Made a quick find whilst no body was around. Have been here several times but never as a geocacher.
Went along to do this cache and suddenly had a moment of Deja vu. Yes I had signed the log a couple of years ago. TFTC

We made a big loop past the Wishing Tree and to the falls. But I had to backtrack a few hundred meters to this cache. Found it in good shape and enjoyed the view. Thanks!
Today, we were in the mood for serious bushwalking. With the kids on our back we made our way first, along Main Border Track and then turned away from the well maintained track to head up to Lyrebird Lookout, Orchid Grotto and Moonlight Craig Lookout. Here, we had a fantastic view down into the steep valley! At this point we had been already quite tired from fighting the bush, which is why it took me some time to find this pirate's cache on our way back to the main parking area up at O'Reilly's. The last ascend was really demanding for our tired legs... still we enjoyed this approximately 10 km long walk a lot. Highly recommended to people who have no fear to search for the right trail in the bushes! The way is not advertised on local hiking overview maps, but you can find the trail on the OSM map. Have a go!

We stayed for two nights in this Nationalpark and had to decide which cache we wanted to make. Luckily we went for this because it is a really beautiful spot! Thanks for hiding and maintaining!

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. Having spent a few days in Sydney with Geocaching friends we flew to the Gold Coast and Lamington National Park (where we are at present). We then drive to Noosa and a trip out to Fraser Island before flying from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find at Ground Zero at this stunning lookout. Thanks so much for the cache.

We had trouble parking as there is only room for 3 cars. A car shuffle was organised and we still had to park up the top of a hill and walk back down. We started where you can turn right to Python Rock or left to the falls. We were heading to Geckoman WP1 so grabbed this on the way. I have been here before on bushwalks from O'Reillys down the red road. Coming from the other side of the gorge was a nice change. Seffnjarah soon saw the cache and had our names signed. TFTC
O'Reilly's was the chosen destination for today's caching adventures with SeffnJarah and Walandor. Having completed the nearby Cainbabel Falls multi, we powered down the graded track to the falls, overtaking ambling Sunday tourists taking a leisurely jaunt to the Falls.
At the falls, the view was pretty good and the scenery not bad either! Old octopus hands probably thought he was being discrete, but we cachers are very observant
The cache was quickly found and then we set off in search of a Gecko.
Many thanks Pirate63.

This is one of those caches that I have been meaning to get on any number of previous visits but circumstances have just not allowed me the opportunity. Today our chosen route would take Crookedpete, Walandor and I pretty much straight past GZ so only a short detour was required. Despite some muggle activity nearby we managed to locate GZ and sign the log while Mr Muggle was occupied going the grope on his girlfriend. TFTC
10:00 This morning's activity was to try the Segway. The quick trip took us to the falls and we walked to two great viewpoints. A bonus was that we were near the cache and it was a very short walk to GZ and a quick find. TFTC
While staying with friends in Brisbane we did a view tour walking and exploring the surroundings and the city.On one of our tours we discoverd this little friend.

#3843 [08:50] we started our trek here, better say had fist break here thanks, nice place.
As we were hiking past the spot to find another cache it would have been rude not to find this one on the way.
We had been enjoying the views of the falls and then the long views of the valleys around us and while the others stayed close to a couple of muggles I snuck away to locate the cache and return with it for the others to sign.
Thanks pirate64 for putting this cache out here years ago and to the others who have maintained it

While at the Lamington Anniversary weekend, K8nCo, Swellerfungus, LadySim, Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers, Lisylou and myself decided to walk to Morans Falls. Such a lovely walk. The falls were amazing after the rain. TFTC and for bringing us to this beautiful place!
Came for the nice walk down to this great spot (the view id tremendous!). We enjoyed the chatter on the way down and were pleased LadySim didn't step on the large Python we happened upon.( After last weeks antics I was glad not to be thrown int the bushes too!).
Container found quickly and in good condition. Thanks pirate63.

We were staying at the camp ground for 2 nights as part of the geocaching weekend event being held at Lukes Farm. Mr EMC had gone off with some of the crew for an early morning walk. Mrs EMC and the kids decided to walk to Moran's Falls. With the kids in the car Mrs EMC was just about to drive off when she sees HotWheelsDuo come to the camp ground with an urgent message. Mr EMC had called her from the top of some mountain to say that he had changed a tyre on the 4WD this morning and had forgotten to tighten the wheel nuts. Lucky she came at that very moment else this log might not be happening. With tight wheel nuts we drove down to the car park and got set up for our walk. The round trip only took 2 hrs 15 mins which was pretty good going for little legs (4 & 5 y/old). The kids played a lot along the way too. They explored inside strangler figs, they swung on vines, they stopped at the creeks. All in all they had fun. We got to the lookout and admired the spectacular views. Then on to the clearing for morning tea. I had just jumped over the safety fence when I heard a car pull up. Back I jump to wait out the guide and 2 bushwalkers from the guest house. They left off to the lookout so back I go. Next my 4 y/old starts screaming about a leech. I was just heading back over when my 5 y/old got it off him. I was starting to think I was doomed with this cache. Right all is good. Off I went for a very quick find. Quickly signed log and back over the safety fence I went. Thanks for showing us this pretty area.
Out for the 100th anniversary of Lamington Np. Grear waterfall walk. Fantastic view today. Saw a carpet piton across the path and moved him with a stick. Tftc.
lovely walk to see the falls and further on to the cache site. bit of a hunt but got it in the end. thanks pirate 63. x
We are staying at Luke's farm and it had rained very hard in the morning but the afternoon cleared enough for a walk. This was a great one to as it was too late for a long walk, but long enough to let us feel like we'd done something other than sitting around. This was a fairly easy walk although a little muddy from the rains. It no one slipped. The views to the falls were spectacular and the cache was a quick find. A great spot. Tftc
We had about 5 weeks of holiday and thought about, where to go. Will it be Argentina or Hawaii or where to go? Once we remembered on Australia – yeah – for a trip going there we would need that plenty of time!
In short – a few weeks later sitting in the aircraft with final destination Sydney, where we started our trip down under. Spending half week there, we were then flying up to Cairns and heading all the way back south until Melbourne, visiting a lot of National Parks with stunning views, crystal clear water, sandy beaches and impenetrably rainforest. There have been a lot of highlights – e.g. visiting Mossmann Gorge, the Whitsunday Islands, Carnavon National Park, Natural Bridge & Lamington National Park south of Brisbane, Wilson Prom NP and of course – the Great Ocean Road.
Some Aussies told us, that never saw a wild koala within the last 10 years and we were lucky to see koalas on 2 spots, the second time with over 10 species. Luckily we didn’t met one of the dangerous animals – only a baby shark, but this had been caught by a fishing-rod. Unfortunately also a lot of dead kangaroos – I would estimate nearly 500 in different states of decomposition.
So we really enjoyed the trip to Australia and of course also did some geocaches, which had been on our way, including some special ones from the year 2000! Luckily the weather was fine for most time – in sum it was a great holiday.
Today we were heading to Lamington National Park. Going up the narrow and winding road is already an adventure. First of all we did a short hike to the Moran Falls – including this cache. Quite a nice walk with a fantastic view. Whenceever we got a bloodsucker – which wasn’t that easy to remove. We also did the walk to Python Rock Lockout – also recommendable, but still even better the tree top walk. I refused to believe, that it is possible to go up 30m into the fig tree. Quite a good spot for a T5 cache

monkey maker and I headed via this one on the way to WP1 of a nearby mystery cache. I was pretty well stuffed at this point but we added our names to the logbook. That pirate63 sure found some good spots didn't he...even though you can't see the falls from here.

Humbug and I were on our way to a Wp for a nearby puzzle cache so we stopped in on the way past. Well we had to really as that CO gave us a new container to replace this one if needed but as it turns out this one is in perfect health. The hint doesn't really work anymore but the co-ords were spot on for us so all is good. A nice spot to sit and watch the world go by, well if you have time. We didn't so it was a quick find, sign and rehid before heading for the segways, I wish.

Found this cache right at the start of my hike along the Lost World circuit - a 3 day hike from Green Mountain, the majority of which is unmarked track. Cache was straight-forward to find, and was just a bonus after the awesome views at Morans Falls.
After that, continued on the circuit - a hike along Castle Crag, down the ridge to Albert River (left branch), up to Razorback Mountain (another ridge), through dense rainforest to Mt Worendo, then back to Green Mountain (O'Reillys) via Echo Point. An amazing (if gruelling) hike - but well worth it!
Thanks Pirate for the cache!

I have to report a DNF on this one today. Nothing to do with the cache itself. I didn't even get near GZ; 170m away to be exact.
You see, I stopped into O'Rielleys with Grandad and geoson after a drive up Duck Creek Road. I made a monumentally bad choice and ordered a kids cheeseburger and fries for the little man. Of course, he was immediately slothly in response. Like a python that had just swallowed a deer. All he wanted to do was lie down and digest.
And there I was trying to coax him out of the car and frog march him to a destination he had no interest in. Naturally he wailed the whole way; the noise echoing through the beautiful rainforest.
It is not a long walk; we got to a lookout fast enough, but unfortunately the wrong one. We should have come in from Red Road, I can see in hindsight. Anyhow, the two lookouts are only 170m apart but that may have been 10,000 miles. There was absolutely no question of returning to the car empty handed.
Oh well, I am not too upset. This gives another cache option when we return with the whole family.

Our last find of the day turned into another great location to put our feet up and soak in everything we were seeing. Three youngins were playing at the very edge of the falls precipice....way too close for our liking. The area was simply enchanting!
I am introducing my buddies from the UK and no top this wondrous activities. P's what a great honey moon thing to do.
Out on a walk to Moran's Falls and other nearby tourist locations. Great views from GZ. Pity the track to the bottom is closed. TFTC.
Wow, it's quite a while since I found a 'pirate63' cache. Stunning location you've found here. Sorry to admit that the view outshone the cache .

In my opinion, one of life's pleasures is a walk in rain forest. [^] [^]
We walked down, and down some more, zig zagging along the track. There is some fantastic tree art with root systems in this forest. Lots of birdlife this morning. The waterfall is splendid. We viewed from the lookout, then from the top of the falls.
The creek feeding the falls was full of wildlife too - a Lamington Blue Spiny Crayfish - we was just meandering from one rock pool to the next when the humans came along! Lots of very large tadpoles. I wonder what frog they will grow into?
Cache found and log signed. Now off for some more adventure to balancing rock. TFTC [^]

Captain Terror and I were spending a few nights at the campground nearby and after breakfast decided we would go for a walk and grab this cache. We started the walk a few seconds after a family with young children so we walked extra slowly to put a fair bit of distance between us. A walk in the forest is so much nicer when the wildlife is active and not hiding because of noisy kids.
It was such a pleasant walk. We really took our time and looked at different plants along the way. Before too long we were standing at the lookout, staring across at the falls. We were joined by two more families with noisy kids and decided to get moving. We stood at the little concrete bridge for a while before continuing up to GZ. When we got there we were joined by all three families.
We waited at least fifteen minutes for them to have their drinks and move on. We headed up to the cache and I quickly spotted it. I signed my name and replaced it as found. We enjoyed the walk back and it may have been slightly quicker. Thanks for the cache pirate63

Found with stairman1. This was a beautiful spot to visit. It was rather windy heading down here today. It was a little slippery underfoot because of the recent rains but not too bad. Lots of muggles down here today enjoying the view. TFTC.
