As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Shame we didn't find this one. This is a beautiful spot when visiting family we use this point to catch ferry
I live just across the water from this cache so I use my binoculars to check that there are no fisherman there then take the dogs for a walk and have a little search.
I've looked 4 times now but can't find it so I have to log as DNF

We needed to be in the city and, as it was such a lovely day, we decided to take the RiverCat from Kissing Point. We had about 20 minutes to wait so we decided to attempt this one.
I’d checked the logs so was pretty sure where it wasn’t. This narrowed the search area and I very quickly had CIH. It’s certainly a bold hide.
A brilliant spot for a cache, thanks Cachefinders2.

It was getting quite windy out here today. Stood around GZ wondering where the cache could be. Spotted something and wondered if it was it. It was. Nice one.
12/08/13. 08:07 AM. Argh my streak is in danger now, and I'm panic searching. I've already DNF'd Cove St Wharf and Cables By The Park and now I'm running late for work too. Too many muggles about and nothing obvious up high, gotta go.....
A real last ditch attempt to get to #450 as the sun was setting fast and it was getting colder. My girlfriend was offering now help as she enjoyed the view and played with the dog as I scrambled looking in all the wrong places haha... When I noticed the cache I was too happy to feel silly... Thanks! Beautiful spot down here!
The Venturers and I swarmed all over the place looking for this cache, then looked up and had the 'Aha!' moment

Hmmm! Foiled again for a while there! Clever! Make sure you don't get your feet wet when a boat passes by. Thanks - great spot!!
It has indeed gone. Too strong an attachment device if there could be one.
In any case, replaced and in the same place and roughly same size.
Good hunting. Lovely around here at the moment. Check out the new council posts by each new tree from here to Meadowbank to mark the years of QEII's reign from 1953 to 2012.

Found a strong magnet which looked like it had a bison tube epoxied to it at some point... not sure if that is an older version or if it's missing.
Too many boaters and fishermen to contend with... Will have to try again another time.
Cute little cache in a great location, visited here on a gorgeous Saturday with plenty of muggles sunning themselves. Easy to stealthily grab the cache while taking photos of the building across the water. Got some great pics today, tftc.
After attempting this cache at night and failing I finally found it during the day but it was hard with all the mugles around.
Arrived at GZ High tide, Hmmm, so knowing underneath access was out of the question, decided to read a couple of past logs. Spotted check plate and lifted to search but still couldn't quite see down there. So laid down and then out of the corner of my eye I spotted it. Thanks Cachfinders2.
We were lucky enough to have some time off work this morning so decided to enjoy the sunshine and put in some quality time caching. A nice and easy find while we stopped to enjoy the view. TFTC
Looked for this for a long time, and yes – I got my feet wet. After reading through the previous logs I was inspired by Zargfinders, and soon had the cache in hand. Gorgeous place to be on a sunny winter’s morning. Thanks Cachefinders2.
It was getting dark so not many muggles about. Took us a little while to find because we were led off by the feet wet thing, taking it as a clue rather than a warning. But once I was looking in more spots around I found it. Thanks. Great views, nice breeze (AND THE RAIN HAD FINALLY STOPPED, YIPPEE!!) and a very relazing area. Loved gazing over the water and looking at the other side. Great one for the last of the day.
So nice to do a La Perouse cache - always full of interesting history. Thanks for keeping it alive, cachefinders2! Took us a little while to spot this one in plain sight after crawling, poking, feeling, twisting and disturbing some incredibly creepy looking wharf bugs. Aha, there it is! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Had a look with geofamily in tow. Boats, cyclists people coming and going. It wasn't happening. I lay down, looked underneath. Did you know that metal plate lifts up? Anyway wife went to take daughter to toilet. I re-read the logs. Hmmm not as difficult as I had been making it. Walked back down and had cache in hand within a minute. Tftc
Btw I managed this on a Sunday afternoon! Just bring a family and some fishing rods for the best disguise..

With the overcast sky and threat of rain we finally decided to attempt this cache. We arrived at GZ and discovered we were not alone. We patiently waited for the muggles to leave and started searching. Geoson spotted the cleverly hidden cache first. We happily signed the log and was pleased to have this cache crossed of our list.

Finally came back today after a couple of DNF's already, one from the original GZ and one from the new GZ. I pulled up and walked over to GZ and started searching again, yet still kept coming up with nothing. I PAF, who gave me a clue of another cache, which is similar. As I thought about it, my eyes gazed to the right spot and I couldn't believe how 'in plain sight' this cache was...DOH...! SL and replaced. It was blowing a gale as well, but cache was not dropped. Thanx CF2, TFTC.

a nice location but sunday morning it was a bit busy and I could only do a quick search but sighted nothing , perhaps another trip
A breezy cool place on a hot day. There could hardly be a better place to search! Found after a good look trying to find that which is out of place - it certainly blends in well. Signed the log, thanks.
Arrgh! Why didn't I see this quicker? I did see it but just didn't reach out and touch it. Good coords, easy to see and easy to get if you realise what you're seeing. Nice, simple and very effective camo. TFTC
Started looking for this one today on my way back from the airport - had to fill in a blank GC find day. Got close to GZ but then something rang a bell about the coords being changed. Looked up on the phone and sure enough I was looking at the old coords.
Moved to the new spot and had a fair sort of look around without success. Then looked in the right direction from my vantage point and spotted it. Then had to get in the right area to grab it and log it. Baktrak had been here just before me. Signed and replaced. Great spot.
Thanks!

2nd attempt and another DNF. Got to GZ and started searching but muggles around, so didn't want to look too out of place. Another visit is what a need, thanx!
This cache has the longest description I've ever found. Thanks for reviving it Cachefinders2 and nice camo. Despite the warning not to do it at night I went down with my new torch but this turned out to be completely unnecessary as GZ was well lit. TFTC - first to sign the new log!
A nice cache! We sometimes row past this, and I always thought there should be a cache there- little did I know there was one!! Took me a few minutes before I made the find. I'm not sure about the name though?

We have not forgotten this cache, merely trying to find/build a suitable container that attempts to be reasonably muggle proof.
Hope to have it up sooner than later.
Thanks for your patience.

Dropped by today without checking the logs but of course it's gone. The CO says they will archive it so probably for the best. Great area.
Cache check after doing "wet extremities" nearby and am sorry to say its gone again after a recent replacement.
Will have to look at a better placement in due course.

I came, I searched, I had people looking at me strangly lying down, bending and slipping on the rocks, but I could not located this cache. Reread the logs, and tried to view walkway from different angles, but today wasn't the day for a Kiss
Tonight I managed to clear this off my DNF List. But, it was my only find of three attempts!?!

Tide was out, looked in the water, on the slippery rocks, on the jetty, under the jetty, on the stairs- everywhere but where this little guy actually is! Argghhhhhhh....
Finally got a break between muggles. I knew rain would keep them away!! ha ha
Anyway good luck and Happy caching

Was staying with friends nearby, and on our last day in Sydney, finally stopped to find their closest cache. MustardKeenAs had found it before, so confirmed it was missing when I didn't find it after a few minutes, and now catching up on the logs note it has been disabled.
Hopefully we will be back.
Cheers

It has indeed gone for a swim or the bullsharks have got it.
We have another ready to go and will place it the first muggle free moment we get.

This is my nearest unfound cache so I thought I'd go for a bike ride today to Putney and see if I could find it. Unfortunately, it remains my nearest unfound cache There wasn't a soul around at 3pm this afternoon so I had plenty of opportunity to lie down and look under, over and through everything in sight with no luck at all. Maybe it is still there but if so, it must be hidden very well.
There was a boat tied up right where we had to look with a curious kid in it. No prizes for guessing what we did.
Tonoght I had the place all to my self, but despite spending over twenty minutes looking ervwhere (I think!), I couldn't find the cache. Even with the second last finder confirming I was in the right spot!?!
Like many people before me saying don’t come here on weekends I figured I came here at about 6.20am on the way home from night shift, well the first sunning weekend day in a while & every person was out & about this morning, a boat was at GZ so will leave finding cache to another day, wasn’t going to hang around because I needed to go home to bed for another 12hrs night shift ahead for me.
Yikes! Another cache by Cachefinders2. Took about 10 minutes here, but we finally spotted it. TFTC!!
Sometimes you search and search and search for a cache everyone else has already found easily. Other times you immediately stumble upon a cache that's supposed to be rather difficult to locate. I was very grateful today to have the latter experience. There was a clue in an earlier log that gave me an idea, and I walked right up to the correct spot and put my hand right on the cache.
I think the published coordinates are a few metres out. My GPSr wanted me to walk on water! The cache is hidden somewhere on the obvious structure and there's really no need to get your feet wet. I won't say more. Have a read of the earlier logs.
One of the two cache container clips was broken but the container seems to be holding together OK and the little log book was dry. I dropped the 'Mind Tricks' GC, which seemed to fit just perfectly. TNSL.
No-one was around today and I had the area to myself. I got a bit of a surprise while signing the log when I found that I was suddenly pitching up and down! I looked up and saw that a fairly large motor boat had just cruised by.
Nearby is a nice park with a very useful toilet block. I also enjoyed the views of the Parramatta River and the bridges. This looks like a good place for a geofamily outing, with several other caches hidden in this general area.
Many thanks to Cachefinders2 for an interesting placement!
(Have left my suggested more accurate GZ coordinates.)

One of the two cache clips is broken off. However, cache container is closed and looks OK.
Quick find on a sunny Tuesday afternoon, I just had to time the retrieval in-between boats mooring on the jetty. TFTC
Quick spot of night caching after visiting Zalgariath for a meet and greet and some very useful hints for all things caching. Second time on this one with our first visit thwarted by a warm sunny day and some beer drinking muggles. This time around no dramas, but also no light, but Abel E found it quite quickly. TFTC, great spot and great views of Yaralla Mansion/Rivendell
Beauty park area, today the weather was so nice for scene - SL. Thanks Cachefinders2 .(left pathtag)
277 - This became quite a saga... A quick find of the cache with a muggle friend on Tuesday was soon set back by workmen setting up for lunch just near the spot, making replacing the cache impossible! We took the cache with us while we did a few jobs and came back to find fishermen set up on the wharf so had no option but to hang on to the cache... Managed to replace it this morning (5:45am) while going past with a rowing crew that I coach - not only did they get an explanation on the finer points of rowing but the finer points of geocaching as well... you never now, I may have converted a few! TFTC
Not found by Nanny and Bo on a pleasant Sunday afternoon.
We went all over the end of the jetty, trying to explain to boating muggles that we we we interested in the structure, as we (think) we looked or felt everything possible here.
Sorry to say, that after about an hour, we left our only DNF for the day.
Perhaps another day - perhaps not.
Thanks anyway.

All good things must come to an end. La Perouse is in his seventies and increasingly "wellness challenged". So I'm going to archive my remaining 12 (?) caches on 4th April, 2010, the day that NSW Daylight saving ends. Any cacher who would like to takeover this cache or other caches, please contact me. Meanwhile, I've removed the premium rating. Enjoy them whilst you can!
DNF me Quick more like it!, oh well, even the use of a safety vest and almost 20 mins of unhindered searching didn't help....
Re enthused by recent finds, we gave this another go and are pleased to get this off our most wanted list. Am sure we have looked here the many times we have tried. Within 2-3 minutes of arriving it was in hand. TFTC finally!

After finding 'She's Apples', I headed down towards the river to try and land a La Perouse quinella! I was uncertain about this one, having followed Zalgariath's & Cachefinders2's travails over recent times; however, with Z. finally nailing this one a few days ago, I decided it was worth a punt!
However...unlike Z....I found this after 5 minutes, not 5 attempts! That's caching I guess! Without dropping any overt hints, I simply followed Zalgariath's log; did not scour anything written previously, and followed my GPS. It also helped that I did 'She's Apples' just prior; it honed my geo-sense!
I couldn't resist firing a text off to Zalgariath to let him know of my good fortune i.e. gloat(!); however, there is a phrase along the lines of "He who laughs last, laughs longest", and I was to experience that feeling a bit later in the day...
TFTC, La Perouse! Top spot, and as I was standing at GZ trying to look inconspicuous, what should I see across the water but "Watergate", one of my first finds!!

HAL-LE-LU-JAH! What a glorious day. On what must be my 6th or 7th visit I can finally log a find here. Muggles have spoiled some attempts while others were spent searching in vain. I really did think it was gone. Here is the only hint I'll give. Dont read the old logs (except this one!), and follow the arrow. There was in the past some confusion over a "Muggle Controlled" cache. This lead to me looking in all the wrong places as some cachers have described what is obviously (now) the wrong search area. Use your instincts and knowledge of La Perouse's caches and the hide actually isnt overly difficult, and in fact is quite neat. Well LP Ive saved you that cache check, thanks for all the hints, this was driving me nuts!
Listened to "The 12th Man" on the way home. In the immortal words of Bill Lawry... "Got 'im yes he's gone! P!ss Off You're Out!"

G'day La Perouse, might be time for a check on this one if nothing but to save my sanity. Armed with a good hint and knowing exactly what the container looks like I sallied forth once more today. Even in broad daylight at dead low tide I still didnt spot it today. This must be DNF #5 for me personally and probably close to 2h of looking. If it's there I owe you a coke! Cache check please?

We have tried this cache a lot of times and when i say a lot i mean a lot. After having a chat with Zalgariath the other day, we had a better idea on what to look for. After reading mustardkeenas log i remember finding the muggle controlled cache when we first started and did not realise that you had to be a premium member to find it.
DNF #2 - Dead low tide at night (I was careful!) but even with no muggles, wading and a a good torch I still had no joy. This is becoming a bane cache for me! If anyone is in the area and has previously found it can they let me know if Im blind or not? Thanks!
Rated: for Overall Experience
Despite not fearing a knee deep wade I came up empty handed. Either its well hidden or further out then I wanted to go. My GPSr suggested perhaps the later. However I had a look from above and saw few places it could be further out. Will have to check the tides next time and come at dead low for a better gander Geez the water was nice and warm! Luckily no Sharks spotted

Do not attempt this cache on the weekends if you can avoid it......I came here today, only to walk away from the site, as there were muggles everywhere.
GZ was surrounded by boats and their occupants, either launching or recovering their power boats.

I've been chasing this one for 12 months. (It is my nearest cache.) But I'm now confused which container is which!
I'm going to try to re-grab the same container and take a photo. If I have the wrong one, I'll probably muggle the muggle's cache :O.
My container was a long thin, grey plastic container, a large micro but not big enough for much more than a log and a small pencil (which wasn't there).

Spent a day caching with Geowife today. This cache was a good hide. No muggles out today because when we arrived here it was blowing a westerly gale. Geowife made the discovery and we took the cache back to the tables to sign the log. Thanks for a great day out.
This was unfound for so long, I was not sure if I would have any success.
A good long look around on a quiet morning and finally found it.
Nice hide and nice location too. TFTC,

I think it took me much longer to read the information the description than it did to do the cache
Almost no muggles here this morning, not sure why. Could have been my cry of "Shark!!!" as I walked down the pier.
I didn't know why it was called Kissing Point, that is very interesting.
I did know a fair bit of the information about the bull sharks. I first saw them in Fiji on a shark feeding dive. The locals called them Bull Sharks, but I thought that might be a local name for a young version of a great white, they are very similar. Since then we have heard a lot about this species.
Thanks, Robmc.

Checked out cache position. In the right place. Could not look inside - there were boats launching, boats docking, and inquisitive muggles. Had to deflect one by asking him what sort of fish he thought were swimming amongst the piles (I knew they were inedible puffers, but showing his piscine knowledge took his mind off what I was trying to do) Remember, you are looking for a micro. If you find an old grey painted systema box, that's not it. That is a muggle controlled cache, stolen from this location last year, and which appears and disappears. I've tried to "catch" it but no luck so far. If you find it, please remove it and perhaps recycle it as your own somewhere else.
Found on the great Top Gear tour with Geo-uncle Lat & Long Junkie. Had it in hand after a short search. TFTC
Yeah, we had the cache in hand, but 'Bedmaker' also had a huge splinter in his hand. I told him to wear gloves [^]. TN/LN/SL. You're a bit exposed out "there". It's very hard to see if anyone is sitting in a car watching you.
Second attempt. First time muggles, muggles everywhere. Today, after an early Christmas Eve knock off came home via the punt to check info for Cables Near the Park as last visit the vessel often found there was out of service. This time the weather was light showers so near the cache there was only Team Lego Men, a gentleman from the fire brigade service waiting to meet a partner?? and and the emergency gas repair man who was there for the duration. Had GZ worked out soon after arrival despite GPS giving weird readings even with good coverage. Finally gas repair man went to check his van contents and the procedure was done. Cache very wet.
Not really a DNF but more of a did not look. We stopped by today but the muggle factor was far too high! We waited for a bit of a break but after about 20 mins of hanging around we gave up. The tide was high anyway. We'll be back...
Visited the cache site in the rain with a wind gusting more than 40 knots. Gale force, and it wrecked my golfing umbrella instantly. The QANTAS A380 Super Airbus went overhead on the approach to KSA flying so slowly I thought it might fall out of the sky. Having just spent some weeks in the land of my birth stuffing myself with good food and wine (and gaining 2 kg and a nice tan) was very unimpressed with Sydney weather.
Could not find #2 cache but #3 - a micro - is safe and well. So please don't log in a green/grey systema box even if it turns up there again, because that's not the "official" cache. You are looking for a micro...

Arrived when the tide was very low so walked right 'up' to the cache. Quick easy find. Logbook is wet but the ziploc bag definitely is airtight....

Disabling this cache because whilst I have been overseas, it's become apparent that people are finding Cache #2, a systema box, which was declared MIA on July 2, 2008. Clearly it was muggled, removed and then replaced in the wrong position. Cache #3, a micro, replaced it on July 17, and coords etc were changed.

found it easily, way too easily. I suspect its not in the right place. I will send the owner a photo of it in its current position. I doubt it should be visable from land !!
spent some time watching someone attempt to retrieve their boat trailer from about 3m below the low water mark. Hope he gots it out before high tide
