We looked and looked - 8 of us - but no find. we did find a zip-lock plastic bag where we thing it may have been. Could be its been muggled - or we just did not look in the right place. Will try again when next past the parking area.
I nearly wrote a message to say all I found was a snap lock bag... But luckily I searched a few more trees and the cache finally showed itself
Found the cache sitting out in the middle of a group of trees, so placed where hint suggests.
The GPS took us on a wild goose chase, but we finally got to the spot and it was the first cache my son found himself. He was very pleased with himself.
On our way to Christchurch we searched for this cache. We had no problems to find it. Thank you for the nice cache!
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #238 for the day.
A neat little park here.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and fourtieth on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
Loved looking around here. Thanks for placing the caches to show us around. A nice walk amongst the pine

BBear44 and I stayed our final night of our three night camper van trip in Duntroon at the domain. Today the aim is to get earth cache bling and do a bit of cycling before heading home.
On our way home. Nice easy place to stop. A bit of a stroll and the cache was found.

Heading home after s great weekend caching with Nosynel. Quick stop to get a couple of caches on the way. Cheers for this one.
We entered the woods constantly on the lookout for the Big-Bad-Wolf [:o)] Didn't find him or Little-Red-Riding-Hood but we did find a cache Signed the log very quickly and we were off out of the woods [^] TFTC
Searched for a while but finally got it my work mate for the day was keen to try his hand at caching so I was more than happy to oblige
We stopped here for lunch on our way north. Looked a likely spot for a cache - BINGO - there was, and we found it. Took the TB - will leave it somewhere further north. TFTC
Short stop on our trip to Oamaru brought us close to this traditional. A lot of pine trees around, but we found it. Thanks for the hide!

We've often driven past and and always in a rush to be going somewhere. Today we got the opportunity to stop and enjoy this quiet place on a nice, sunny day. Found with debsnz
A nice park to stop and stretch the legs - went for a short wander and co-ords proved to be spot on for us. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Wandered around a bit, then spotted the likely place. Tftc

Parked up and a bit of a walk through the trees to GZ. Found the most likely hint and after a short search found the cache. TFTC
Fun find grabbed the travel bug and will move it on at some point of our road trip. Thanks
IS anyone esle ever worried they're going to find a dead body looking for some of these caches? No? Oh well. Strangely enough we got the right tree first time
Spent the day geocaching on the drive from Christchurch to Dunedin. Resulted in 156 finds. Quick find. Signed log. TFTC!

Heading for Naseby for some mountain bike orienteering tomorrow. Too tired to continue, so stopped here for the night. Found the cache before hitting the sack in the back of the van. Went round in circles a bit at GZ before spotting the hiding spot. TFTC.

Park was quite busy when we arrived, but soon all cars took off and we had the area to ourselves. TFTC

Headed out with Sharkiefan for an epic 2 days of super crazy caching in Oamaru! Needed to get a caching fix since within Chch I'm only going for one a day to be able to continue my streak as long as possible! We found a total of 78 caches! Hehe Epic weekend all round! And thanks to all the Oamaru and surroundings cachers who made our trip totally the best and caching happy as!
I have passed by this one on numerous occasions on the drive back from Dunedin... but never stopped before.
So today was a first.
Didn't realise it was so far into the woods!! So we made the nice we walk, and spent quite a while walking in circles and getting caught on trees and bushes...
Eventually found the cache...and then it was that we noticed which way we should have had come in... typical... always the case!! Haha.
TFTC!!

Found with Chosen1978 on weekend trip into bitsprayer country. Cache soon located in forest and signed.
Nice to take a stroll and stretch the legs during a geocaching weekend adventure with granville86a
Dog had fun while I hunted this down but may have to return to hunt down his collar which could be way harder than the cache
NB: surprised to actually find the collar in the open near the cache site, expected to have to hunt in the gorse!

The GPS never missed a beat under the pines, had the sat's lock in the whole time, I was surprised. Thanks
Hey, woof... JC Cache Dawg here...
I'm loading all my finds from my Alpha Males (aka GenCuster) logs, where he deigned to remember that I was with him... As if he could forget...04/01/13 12:10 I was on the lead due to rabbits

nice stroll to the cache while some muggles enjoying their picnic in the park - TFTC!!
04/01/13 12:10 Team EJ was on vanguard, JC Cache Dawg on the lead due to rabbits. HM & I strolled as the iphone & GPS led us in decreasing circles. Or maybe it was JC's sniffing technique [8)] Cheers, GC.
What better place to have a 'cuppa' ? Suitable refreshed, I took off into the 'forest' and was able to home onto the cache site. No problems with GPS even with the tree canopy overhead.
Had fun watching the rabbits all scurry away as we made our way to GZ. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
NZ12. With so many rest areas along these roads I have sort of lost track of which was which, but there have been a recurring part of this trip. Thanks.

I sprinted through the woods looking for this one. Was going in concentratic circles and thinking about giving up when ... that's unusual. Signed log, sprinted back to car and continued north. Found as part of our NZ Mega 2012 geocache trip.
Yeetrees had previously visited so he remained at the car while agcnz and myself went for the short stroll in the plantation. A quick and easy find. TFTC
Found on day 1 of an 8 day NZ Mega event trip while heading South in the company of Yeetrees and agcnz.

Came here on the way south to Dunedin today with fozzmiester and Yeetrees. A pleasant walk in through the pine forest with fozzmiester and the cache was a quick find - signed log, TFTC
Parked in a safe spot and wandered across the big expanse of grass following my GPSr and entered the pine tree forest. Walked amongst the trees and I could see a clearing and headed towards it. Apparently
I chose the correct clearing. That log is now a bit hard to spot but when you are standing at the end of it you can see it is as per description. Found cache at 1340. Short and long description are very descriptive. TFTC Bitsrayer.

On a caching trip with ingidayna to Oamaru and surrounds to get 1000 finds. Might have been easier in the day time but got there in the end. TFTC
one of many to get 1000 caches TFTC found with wethreefourdices. Used to be a fav spot to stop on motorbike while passing through, infact was a great spot both ways
Found the cache, really needed the GPS to get directions to this one. Fun. We were going to have luch here but a bit noisy so close to SH 1. So moved on. Took travel bug.
Workmen had filled the car parking area with their trucks so we came back the next morning and had a good walk in the plantation. TFTC
This wasn't exactly the easy rest area park alongside cache find I was expecting. However, it was good to stretch the legs and have a decent exercise break on my long drive north.

I was expecting to find the cache at the edge of the pines but had a fair walk in before I got to GZ. The coords were spot on unlike another Bitsprayer cache further up SH1 that I hunted some years ago. TNLN TFTC ds8300

This little park brings back memories and not good ones. ROS remembers getting a speeding ticket here many moons ago. At least this was a happy visit this time as we gained another smilie TFTC.
