After arriving back from Melbourne, I browsed the map to see where I could go seeing as though I had a fair bit of time on my hands.I noticed this ? on the map which I'm sure has caught my attention in the past at some stage when I didn't have quite enough time to properly scrutinise it and, upon seeing what it involved, I made quick work of it and figured I might as well go and grab the final as well!A convenient carpark was selected nearby-ish and a short wander took me past an AL waypoint and then to gz.No issues identifying the hiding spot either and my name was soon in the log. Thanks to bubble & squeak for placing this one here!
Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time and space in the logbooks , or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache bubble & squeak!
Found this during a fantastic weekend away at the Canberra Mega, with gridge98, Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite. The log books were either signed with the name ABP or our individual caching names. Was an excellent Mega, grateful to be part of it!
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache

Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose, Freddo, E_Smiley, georode and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks bubble & squeak for the puzzle and the cache.
Cache still in tact. It was a bit buried by leaves & bark as it wasn't found during summer.I put some rocks around it.
Find#5643Nice hiding place Solved this ages ago finally got round to find it Thanks for the cache
Well tucked away and returned as such. A familiar puzzle style having grown up attending many a regatta (and related activities). Thanks bubble & squeak for another fun mystery cache. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Couldn't solve the puzzle for a while but then realized I'd been looking at it wrong, and got a quick solve from that point. Had a nice walk to GZ and found it pretty quickly with the hint. Thanks for the fun cache!!
Found It!
A nice and simple puzzle that I solved without any problems. Then today I did the walk to GZ and found the cache on the ground in the open. It looks like something has decided to live in the tree hollow and has thrown the cache out of the way. I put it back under some rocks at the base of the tree.

#1038 After doing some prep work on some multis in the area, Turtle pulled up his solved mysteries in the area and we were very close to this one. Perfect for both of us to fill in a mystery date in our calendars. We headed towards GZ and made a quick find with good solved coordinates and the cache was also in good condition. After getting home I also solved the puzzle before making the claim. Thanks Bubble and Squeak for the hide
#2891 As often happens, you’re in the area collecting some multi info and a check of the map brings up a solved puzzle. Rarely this close to where you are, but DeadThief and I made the most of the moment and picked up this oldie this evening. Cheers bubble & squeak for placing and maintaining this one. Found safe and well in good condition.
Solved ages ago and finally decided to pick up some of the caches in the surrounding area. TFTC
Interesting old building near GZ. A kiln, oven, watchtower, clocktower, torture device ... ?

Had these 4 caches solved for a while so headed out to collect them.
Originally had no clue how to solve this puzzle but looked closer and saw something familiar. How did I miss that before? Quick find. TFTC

An easy puzzle to solve but it took two visits to locate the sneaky hide which was buried quite deeply! Found by the youngest Geokid . Log is in good dry condition.
Chuckle ... thanks for the dry dock!
I've replaced the 'plastic fantastic' cache container with a 'steely'.

Not sure if it was to stay true to the theme, but the cache was full of water. As it's dark I couldn't dry the logbook in the sun. I got the bulk of the water off on the tree and on my pants, but had to put it back still moist. It does have some mouldy patches too.
Didn't come prepared with spares as I am on my way to a friend and just thought I'd grana couple of solved mystery caches.
Thanks for the cache.

What a fun idea! I solved the puzzle over a year ago and it's taken me this long to find a chance to get to the 'Berra and go hunting. I used to live here and walk in this area. Happy memories.

An easy solve today but a few years ago I struggled to get good coordinates. Since then many many puzzles have been started, and some completed so maybe it’s just experience. Anyway, a quick find at GZ. Container had a small amount of water within the container and the blank log was a little damp. Emptied the container and it should be ok for now. TFTC bubble & squeak.
Found on a beautiful winter morning. I’m in town for a week for work, and I’m very much enjoying my adventures in the glorious landscapes around Canberra. I don’t often attempted puzzle caches, but this one seemed straightforward and I was delighted to find that my calculations worked. The logbook is a little damp, but I was able to make my mark. Thank you for bringing me to this beautiful place.
Solved quite a while ago and found today during a nice walk around the area. TFTH

Found the spot where I believed this one should be hidden and excavated it a lot. No container. I was about to give up when I glanced in to the open about 5m away, and there it was, sitting in the middle of nowhere. Log book is a bit soggy, but I managed to make my mark. I then returned the cache to where I had originally looked rather than leaving it in the open. This one may need a check by the CO to confirm it’s in the right spot, and a dry log.
Thanks for the cache bubble & squeak.

Canberra Day 3: Lake Burley Griffin West Loop
Headed out today for another bike ride to find yet more caches in Canberra. The target was the far out AL waypoints and all the little Parks along the way. The ride went swimmingly with a lot of lovely vistas and views of the lake along the way, though slowly but surely, the midday heat started taking its toll. Huffed and puffed up to the National Arboretum visitor centre for lunch, and headed back down to finish off the rest of the circuit. It has been one tiring day, but generally very productive throughout.
This is the specific log for this cache:
An easy peasy puzzle for the experienced cacher, always nice to have a couple of these around to help with confidence and having caches to find. The hike up the hill was an interesting one, though. A couple of Roos in the woods and a long forgotten chimney by the trail. Anyway, the cache was found on site in good shape. TFTC!

Found in a lovey afternoon run with Gliss! Joolay and K8tybee. We certainly did NOT plan to hike up any hills this afternoon.. but when the cache calls.. well.. what can you do!
Nice to also pick up a couple of multis, a puzzle and the start of an adventure cache whilst we were in the area. Just the way I like to spend an afternoon thanks for the cache

Found today with GLISS, Nibletricecakes and K8tyBee on a quick run after work. Worked this out the other day and needed a puzzle for today as caching streak, cache for the day and day 4 of 7 types of caches in 7 days. Good fun catching up with everyone and a nice walk on Sunset. TFTC

Cache container replaced and some minor construction work at the base of the tree )
Solved while waiting for muggles to leavo on nearby cache.
Unfortunately the cache isgone. Seems some animal might find it sooner than me. Logbook was not found anywhere near.

I solved this one some months ago when I was laid up with my shattered elbow. I'm feeling a little better today than I was yesterday, when all I could manage was a park and grab. My lady, her kids and I are all sick, and I'm the only one on the road to recovery so far. I need a cache, and I feel a short walk will do me good. I picked this cache because the walk is short, and I reckon I('ve picked the best weather of the day to collect it. I parked at the closest entrance, walked slowly up the hill, made it to GZ, and soon had my hands on the cache. It's nice up here. Thanks for this one, bubble and squeak. The walk back to the car was pleasant too.
I targeted this one for it's age. There aren't all that many still active and as it was a puzzle as well that was a bit of a bonus to this non-puzzle finder. A bit of a walk up the hill from the parking area behind the embassy district. Quickish find once I'd expanded the search area a little.
This has been in the solved puzzle pile for sometime .

Quick solve a couple of weeks ago & Googlasaurus & I were driving past this morning, so made a quick detour for the collect. The cache was a quick find from about 50m away, as it was completely exposed. Googlasaurus replaced after signing & is now much better camoflagued. TFTC!
Just found this in my drafts, and realised I forgot to log it... for 10 months!

Solved it this afternoon after arriving at the yacht club for well earned drinks. Have seen similar puzzles so it was a quick google and on my way. Huge Kangaroos on the way up the hill, I was a bit wary of them but they stayed clear of me. I have a photo of the interesting structure nearby but it might be a give away to those who havent solved it yet. Back home tomorrow. Thanks for an easy puzzle I could solve without bending my brain too far...
Great spot for a cache hide and nice walk on a place not been too prior .

The geospouse solved this ages ago. I finally got the Blue Flash (my Vespa) over from Perth and was able get out to collect it. A beautiful spot. Tftc
After a pleasant light lunch and a glass of wine at the Yacht club, decided on a gentle walk to work off the calories. A bit blustery on the way, we watched a mob of kangaroos grazing, then up to GZ, past the brick ventilation tower for a quick find. TFTC bubble & squeak, and for the clever theme.
We were cycling around the lake and caching, of course, and detoured to this. As it was morning tea time, we found a fallen tree to sit on and boiled the billy on our hiking stove. Dan then strode up to GZ whilst Sue minded the bikes. A pleasant walk. TFTC and the puzzle and the exercise.
Got to GZ - probably the long way - to find two muggles walking a dog along a track just down from the cache. She very properly walked on but He very rudely stopped and stared at me. I stared back and eventually he went on, only to turn around and keep on staring. What a rude man. I put both hands on hips and glared at him. That made him go away quickly. Then I could get to the business of the cache. Nicely hidden and enjoyed the puzzle - thanks bubble and squeak.
This was a fun puzzle and we enjoyed the drive to GZ. Walked over the hill to the cache to find dog walking muggles and a very rude male one. Alwyn scared him off and we could retrieve the cache. Thanks for an enjoyable experience.
TFTC!
Having recently developed interest in more mystery caches, this was the first I pieced together.
I was glad to get out in the field and even more pleased when I found my work to lead me to the correct spot.
This was a fun find in a lesser traversed part of Canberra.

With a break between appointments and the next one on this side of the creek anyway, I figured that I'd give this one a shot with the time at hand. I'd solved the puzzle some time ago so in glorious conditions today, I mosied on up to GZ where I quickly had the stash in hand at 14:00.
Nice one.
TNLNSL. Thanks bubble & squeak.

I have no idea what was going on but there was a major event happening at one of the nearby embassies and as such the roads were crawling with cars. The parking closest to GZ was difficult but I managed to find a spot for my very small car... I saw a few bigger cars stop and look at the spot before leaving, but mine fit fine.
The cache itself was an easy find

I don't know why it took me so long to claim this one as I must have walked past it a couple of times recently. No matter, I'm happy for another excuse to walk in the area. The Reluctant Geospouse has agreed to come caching with me for the morning for my birthday. The deal is to take both the geohounds on a multi meander and pick up some others on the way. I enjoyed solving and thanks for the cache, bubble & squeak.
We were curious about the nearby chimney/tower thing. Might be an old sewer breather outlet we decided.

A good day for sailing found us as landlubbers instead. The puzzle had us a little bemused at first until we saw the indicators provided. A long slow walk found us at GZ where we did what had to be done. Now it's off to catch the ferry for a leisurely look at Canberra. TFTC.
This was one of those puzzles I like to do. Easy, straight forward research because I know nothing about sailing. But easy to figure out. The coords were spot on and the cache is in good condition and easy to get to. TFTC bubble & squeak!!!
Really happy to have finally got up here to claim this find, I did enjoy this puzzle with it being fun rather than mind bending! So glad to see one of the old brick chimneys as well while in the area, although it didn't take long to work out its still very much working by the smell in the area! Once at the right angle with the sun behind it also noticed the steam and moisture coming out of it and although fascinating it did loose its appeal and was a good reason to leave! Thanks for the cache bubble & squeak and a nice area for a walk!
Almost nobody out walking this morning. Thanks for maintaining this older cache.
Found with The Matetrix. Just finished off the HMAS series, thought to throw in a bonus cache of two. This I'd solved previously and was not too far away. Took pathtag. LNSL TFTC
This was my eleventh cache for the day...this was also the first ACT puzzle that I had solved. When I had decided to travel to Canberra I had no idea where I would stay so I decided to take a scatter gun approach as to which puzzles I would look at. I started close to the centre and worked my way out.
The puzzle was fairly straight forward as was the find. TNLN. TFTC.

Tftc. Mrs Jaybeem! did the calculations and saved them in to the phone. I left work and went directly to GZ for the find. Was a bit unsure after so many months but it is still there and in good shape.
#1209. Visiting Swede here. Ahead of a lunch at the Yacht Club with former work colleagues I scouted the area for caches and came across this thematic mystery. The task provided very smooth sailing and I found nice and clear coordinates in a breeze. After a couple of other caches down by the lake it was time for a short slog into the forest. I was really happy for the shade provided by the gum trees! Container found on spot on coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing (but a nick in the logbook). Took another and greener rout back to the club and saw very interesting information about and remnants from the Westlake camp/settlement/suburb. That was an extra bonus! Thanks for the myst, the lake and the cache!
Despite taking them to do some really cool kids things today, all our nephews wanted to do was find more caches! Not wanting to disappoint them, we found a few on our travels. The kids had a stash of swag each, so if they took something, they left something. We wanted to make sure they understood the rules.
Chris solved this one a while ago, so while we were in the area, we thought we'd give it a go. The kids found this one without much help from us. Very excited to dig through the goodies! They took a small puzzle and left something out of their swag bag. TFTC.

This puzzle was solved a long time ago so it was time to find it today while I was in the area since I rarely come down south!
A quick walk and a nice easy find at GZ! I remember briefly solving this puzzle, since I don't solve many puzzles at all because I am hopeless at them. I was happy when I made sense of this one

The coords were derived quite quickly a long time ago. Finally got around to making the find today. A lovely walk through the area and a quick find at GZ. Termites are really loving the area around GZ. Thanks bubble & squeak
I solved this puzzle (quite quickly ages ago, when I knew I would be in the area ... but then I totally forgot about it (although if I had remembered, and looked where GZ was I possibly still would not have come for it as I was in my kayak and this was not quite a "park and drive" with that - lol
For some reason I also forgot about it a couple of other times I was in the area and probably could have ducked up and found it ... so - I have now fixed that
Diesel the Golden Georetriever and I came sort of near this area earlier in the morning, and went for a walk around Weston park with a group of other dogs and their owners, then we stopped for a play in the dog park for a while (well - I chatted to people and he mostly wandered around looking confused - lol)
Then I decided that seeing he really likes swimming, and there were a couple of premium caches along the shore between there and the Yacht club that I had not found yet, I may as well see if I could find a spot along the shore where he could go for a swim and I could find my daily cache ... Actually I parked near one, then decided to look for more than one, and let him swim a bit further along ... so I found that one, then we kept going and found the other one, then we went a bit further along for a swim and some stick fetching and rolling in the mud then I decided we may as well keep walking to come and find this one - so we walked around past the yacht club (where he ate duck poo off the jetty and headed up to look ... found a chimney in the middle of nowhere, kept going and found the cache ...
TFTC - another interesting/nice spot that I had not been to, and am glad I now have - walked back to the lake/car down a different track, and the TB from the cache came with us

t took us quite as long tie to work this out, but after 200 of them we had enough experience to nut it out. In celebration we dropped off the Wind Rider TB - bon voyage. TFTC

Found it! GPS was thrown off a bit by the trees but we uncovered it eventually. Cool puzzle.
I stopped off at Stirling Park to grab this cache on the way back from an appointment in Barton today. A lovely sunny day to take a short walk in this reserve. Great puzzle - I have sailed in a few regattas and think sailing is about the most exhilarating thing I have ever done. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache. Picked up a nice geocoin which I will move on soon.
LadySim and I were cycling around the lake and found a nice spot for lunch. While waiting for the fish and chips to arrive I had a look for nearby caches. This one was very close, and I love A puzzle! Can I solve it in the Field? Who hoo you bet I can! New chords worked out and looked good. Cache found in good Order? Thanks for the cache. Left a travel bug.
Nice little cache. I did the puzzle a couple of days ago and could not resist going out and getting it. Nice walk on the local bushland. Thanks for the cache.

On the way to Walk with my family and decide to stop by here to do this cache, great hide. bubble & squeak
So being Pi day, I needed to head out and collect a puzzle to be eligible for the second souvenir. I had originally planned to collect another puzzle however I was struggling to locate the cache although I had the correct GZ.
I have had this one solved for a long time now and its been sitting on the solved/unfound list until today. I found a nice place to park and went for a short wander to soon find myself at GZ. Had to remove some built up dirt from around the cache but found none the less. Cache signed and I could hear the Federal Guard letting off the cannons across the lake for Skyfire 2015.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache placement bubble & squeak
