@19:18. I was out caching with heardrwt today and we couldn't find this one. Judging by the hint we were pretty sure where this was meant to be but all the tree stumps along this road have been burnt out, presumably to remove them, and so we came to the conclusion the cache may have been lost. You may have to check it out Alansee.
After a busy 5 days caching with Team Crackers and Alansee, we headed out to pick up a few more caches.
We enjoyed the drive up this lovely country lane, with beautiful views. Found the well hidden cache, quickly.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Alansee, for us and others to find.

Having a look on the map this morning, we thought a quick trip to the next town was in order... We are camping in Bright for a few days and caching is a perfect way to take a good look around :)
This is a beautiful spot, with a gorgeous view... I could see the locals kicking back here with a coldie or two...
Thanks Alansee for showing us this piece of paradise :)

[:(!] What better way of spending the day but to do a bit of caching and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ , the cache was located, it was then in hand in a matter of minutes.
I love it

Wow! What a great view of Mt Buffalo. All the waterfalls flowing after lots of rain! Thanks for bringing us here Alansee!
8001 + 971 = 8972. Found during a 3 day visit to the region with Sol de Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax.
The main event for our visit was the HSS Series with many many more in between. SDL says it all in his log. All my fault really !! Lol...
The best thing was that all 100 were found with only a few hiccups which were our fault. Very happy with 100 + finds !
Once we finished the HSS Series we continued towards Bright. This was a nice quick find at GZ. Nice area.
Thanks alansee !!

Beechworth HSS trip March 2014 with Mtrax, Sol de Lune and Fitzy. Most of the journey was made up of the HSS puzzles which were all solved before the trip with very little input from me. The collections were made on bike or by car. The various bike legs were the highlight and were very enjoyable. We did manage many other caches in the region and all in all it was a great trip with friends with a good mix of caches and great food at the local pub. Thanks.

Drove up without issue and once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. No-one else around so all was good. Re-covered the cache and we were off to the next one.....in Bright.
Thanks Alansee...enjoyed the views.

A detour from the rail trail on my bike ride this morning had me feeling like a poor pink punker
As the hill steepened, I felt that this cache might have been better chased with a bit of infernal combustion power to help
Snap out of it If !! [:o]
Since when did a little hill defeat me on a bike ride ?
Never !!
So I ground me way up the hill with my accompanying veil of sticky black flies keeping pace.
At GZ I hopped off the bike, wiped me brow and stood there almost shocked by the sheer grandeur of the view in front of me [:o]
Such an obvious cache hiding spot I don't think I have laid eyes upon [^]
Magnificent, stupendous ... words failed me [:o]
So I recovered the cache and signed the logbook
Could this cache find get any better ?
Of course it could.
I turned around and saw the view !!
Oh look at that road I had just ridden up !!
It is going to be a fast, non-pedaling ride back to the highway [^]
Yeah !! There's a small hill in the background too ... but nothing worth writing home about
Off I rolled to enjoy the high speed thrills on the ride back down the hill
TFTC and the exercise [^]

On the spur of the moment, I sneaked off from the family and rode out to find this one. Well worth a little uphill riding for the view over the Ovens Valley and the fun ride back down the hill on the way back!
A generous sized box with plenty of interesting swap items when I visited (but had nothing with me to swap unfortunately!)

After a cycle ride to Porepunkah Pines Tourist Park for s swim, Geoson and I headed off for a cache. This was the nearest, and really not far, but a hot day and no gears on a slight uphill grade made it harder. We left the bikes at the big tree by the hedge and walked the ladt bit. Finally the pink road was in sight, and the fine view noted. The sheep seemed a bit surprised to see us. Cache was found eventually, is a little off coordinates (nearer the pink), but hint sent Geoson in the right direction. Log signed, sad for such an accessible cache that it is so infrequently visited. Admired the view some more, back to the bikes and a nice whiz down the hill then spiders (of the cold and frothy kind) at the Rail Trail Cafe. TNLN TFTC. Also we brought two TBs for a visit.
Called in to this cache today for some maintenance. It took a little search as the item where the cache was hidden more than 6 years ago has changed. I moved it to a better hide and have updated the coordinates ever so slightly. I was also surprised at how well the container has stood up over the past years.
Found in the dark, our GPS was a bit all over the place. We were getting tired and cranky.I understood the hint but still didn't clue on until geo mum came up with the goods. Then I twiggedTFTC
KTCvic trekked off to Porepunkah to go camping with family and friends for the long weekend. In between swimming, heading up Mt Buffalo, swimming, going down a water slide and more swimming we found time to do a handful of caches.
After a great swim and slide in at Bright and a fantastic feed of fish and chips we headed to this cache on the way back to the camp site. After wandering around GPSr off by around 15m, we were approached by a local muggle farmer asking if we were looking for the cache. He pointed us in the right direction, only to find a well concealed cache, that was passed over by Campbell as he was looking for the Stumped hint!! Signed the log and then we were off.
Thanks for the cache.

I seem to have driven past the road into this cache several times, but not had the opportunity to drop in. Today we were doing some maintenance around the area, so I made a point of coming here.
Although there is a bit of smoke in the air, the view of buffalo was spectacular.
A quick find of a god sized cache, although as previous finders have pointed out, the stump does not exist anymore.
Thanks, Robmc.

Cheers, not sure the clue is still valid. But a great cache with loads of trinkets. Kids expecially loved this one
We almost didn't find this one as we were looking in the wrong spot. As we were driving off geodad noticed a Farmer walking down towards the fence to chat to us, so we pulled over and he said he found it a few months back, cleaned it up and rehid it for us to find! He also said his brother knew all about this 'geocaching business' and how he had been keeping an eye on it for us to make sure it was still there! He also told us that the property further up the lane is called Pink Punker!!! (It was his dads!) A very nice chap!! Took Pathtag Left Bear. TFTC Alansee
Now that's the way to see one of my favourite mountains. Just gorgeous. NineMileMan quickly located the cache and the log was signed. TNLN. Thank you for this lovely spot.

# 241. After a lovely road ride from Bright to Harrietville and back with my bike group I decided to try for at least one cache today before I left the area. I decided on this one and it wasn't long before I was cursing - oh no not a dirty car AGAIN!! Pulled up and unlike many others, my GPS was spot on and I didn't have any problems with the clue either. Sensational views on this glorious day. Took: Heart shaped eraser, Left: Sheep and one of my PathTags. Thanks alansee
Made a quick detour here on our way home to Wodonga after a day caching. After we widend our search a little we had the cache in hand and were off home. TFTC
Nice views - you can hardly tell where poor punker ends and Bright begins anymore. A nice quiet spot today. TFTC

I arrived and began to scramble around what I thought was gz.
After widening the search the hide was quickly in hand.

What a beautiful view of Mt Buffalo. Sensational. Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot
Kept an eye on this one to see if I missed it. Seeing that tattboy1 logged it, I went back for another crack. Found it, but a hint of my own: the hint is utterly useless. TFTC
Too wet to e doin this but what the hell hahaha great spot nearly got spotted but just pretended i took a wrong turn took geocoin will move it along left slinky and whistle took gnome SL TFTC
Found the likely spot, being the only stump within 15m of the co-ords. The local landowner looks like he's been tidying up, and may have muggled the cache.
Love the name of this cache! so I just had to do it while I was in the area... thanks..
Nice drive up a very nice valley. I'm sure that the locals living here know where this cache is, would be a great place to live with the views of Mt Buffalo.
Visiting Bright briefly offered the opportunity for a few caches - the best way to visit interesting places and to learn something of the history of an area.
This cache was no exception and set the scene for a great day out. What a great view.
TFTC. Dropped a Geo-coin, took a Scout cloth badge.

12.45 Having decided to have a weekend in Bright we were checking out this area nearby. We have picked the best weekend as the weather is magic and this is such a pretty place. We can see why this place would be a cheaper option to its very popular sister town nearby. This is such a wonderful area for bike rides and hiking, but we drove to ths one

Been waiting to do this one ever since we knew about it, as it is on the very hill I fell in love with Australia. 20 years ago... In the little house at the end of the drive lived a dear old man...
another enjoyable ride Sunday morning Gzing. Good slog up hill quick sign and very fast coast back down. Not a sound to be heard in the valley. TFTC
10:45 - hard slog up the road on a road bike, but worth it for the nice ride down again
Thanks for taking us up to this magnificent view - wishing I had a camera able to do it justice. After stomping around (high snake season!) cache was quickly found and log book signed. Took TB.
#790 @ 5.45pm. Our last cache for the day and a nice area to stop with some great views from GZ. Had to move the truck out of the way for a muggle passing through so it was a quick sign and replacement after he'd moved on (just in case he came back again).

Stayed in the Caravan Park by the river as a small lad with my parents. I was six I think, and I remember getting into trouble when I went out deeper than my wellington boots and getting my feet wet. My mother tried to dry out the inside of the wellies in front of the heater in the caravan and made an awful smell. Funny how these thing stick in one's memory.
Returning back through the town today it's probably grown considerably, as has Bright up the road which seems to be just a big tourist trap.
Thanks for the cache.

This was quite an easy find even for a mug (not muggle) like me.
A fine selection of SWAG and an exceptional view of Mt Buffalo.
We did get sprung by a local farmer as I was filling out the log in the boot.
I'm sure that it is not the first time and he probably wonders what the heck is going on.
Had to jump quick to move the car and let him pass.
Took a green dice.
Left a green superball.

After going past the hordes of tourists on bikes (sounds like a good idea to me though) we drove out of town and to the cache. A bloke was trimming his hedge (a massive undertaking on a cherry picker) and looked worn out. The GPSr was a bit jumpy but didn't take long to find the cache. Thanks!
TNLN. Zara found it. Josh and Zara wrote their own names in the log book. Nearly got busted by a passing farmer who looked at us curiously

This was a bit far off the bike trail when we were passing by a couple of days earlier. Now we know where the "pink" comes from. Found at 12:55pm with Alsume, again several hours after EuDes. Dropped in the McGyver TB and discovered the Team Alamo 20K Finds GC (whew!!) that Alsume picked out. Thanks Alansee.
Lots of geocachers out this weekend, we were the third to find the cache today! None of us here at the same hour. The locals must have been wondering why their road was so popular. A very clever hide and a lovely selection of treasure. We took the travel bug 'McGyver' which had been left by the previous visitor some three hours before and left a fireman's button to keep the cache safe for the summer. By the way the view was peaceful and we were impressed by the name of the road.

2nd find of the day and 1981st total find at 10:36.
Found in the company of Muggle Annie the day after our 4X4 club High Country Huts trip. A few of us decided to spend an extra night in the area - a great decision, as we were rewarded with some very nice caches, and being able to access and drive along some 4X4 tracks that were supposed to have been closed.
What was the surprise at this cache supposed to be? Ours was to be greeted by a couple of yapping dogs that almost nipped at our heels at every step. They made so much racket that their owners came along to see what the commotion was.
Muggle Annie is struggling to master her GPS, so we decided that this cache and a few others in the area would be good a good learning exercise for her. There's even a good chance that she will drop the 'Muggle' from her title in the near future.
Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks Alansee for the cache.
