Man, you are prolific!! Doing my last run of caches on our last full day in Oz! Avoiding climbing trees and walking on water. But happy to crawl into this gap. Tftcsl
Is there a better way to celebrate a debut parkrun than by finding a Tankengine special?!Cleary not.Id given this a cursory glance about a year ago but shied away due to the cluster of blackberries near ground zero. Turns out I had nothing to worry about! Shame the hedge maze is no longer here but this is a pretty good replacement. Thanks!
Came for the parkrun and this was near my carpark for an "easy" calendar find. Eventually found a way in and very quickly realised doing thus after rain adds some additional challenge. A bit wet and muddy but the smiley has been achieved, TFTC
Day 7 of our Capital Geobash mega-holiday. Forecast was for rain, so we planned to do mainly Adventure Labs today. However the rain turned out to be a lot less than forecast so we found quite a few extra caches as well. After exploring some of the north eastern suburbs via labs, we decided to change tack for the afternoon and have a wander around the south west side of Lake Burley Griffin and the Yarralumla area. By the time we got to Lennox Gardens, the weather had really cleared up so it was a lovely enjoyable walk.Having never been to Weston Park before, we enjoyed a quick tour via the adventure labs. We found ourselved parked nearby to this cache so it was 'just one more' before we moved on. Very overgrown now, compared to the photo on the cache page. However the maze remnant and the cache were located without too much drama, except for a short trip over a blackberry runner on the way back (didn't send a postcard though). TFTC Tankengine.
Found early this morning with the WACrew, signing WAC. Weather is amazing and having a map with smiley face opportunities galore is my dream come true. Thanks for the hide.
Visited here during my time at the mega. Signed WAC as part of the crew from WA. Thanks for the hide.
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14650, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to Tankengine for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Fun find in an area full of lots of childhood memories! And now I know theres a petanque club here. TFTC TE
Didn't find. I did find a odd rope hanging but no cache. Assume this was it and moved on

Fought through the blackberries and actually got it, be careful!! Log is a bit damp and cache a bit ick
There was a huge flock of kangaroos nearby this one and some were wearing collars and had ear tags so I’m wondering if it was a rehab flock or something. Really nice to see them all so peaceful and somewhat protected here in the gardens. The cache itself has been wet and needs some TLC. Drained what water out of it I could and replaced TFTC
Found during family bbq… first time find for half the group!
No need to get too muddy
No need to get too muddy
Muddy and prickled with no reward… still fun! Crawled around base of all trees in area without success today. I too remember this as a kid. Thanks for the challenge!
Came back with geokid and got it in 2 min.., this is great spot, loved the sound of farm animals nearby. A fav point from us for extra challenge!
Overgrown with spiked blackberry bushes unfortunately so couldn’t get closer than 3m
Not accessible, anymore. Over grown by blackberry, gps says 3m from location of photo ..
Felt a bit like the briar rabbit trying to get to this one.... Billie the wonder dog and DT had to look on from the outside!
Couldn’t find it. after half an hour of searching unfortunately nothing found. There was one place that looked like the box normally belonged…
Humph, made this much more difficult than required. Area has been significantly demudded, if past logs are indicative.
TFTC!

It was over behind that tree across the fence, very overgrown and hard to reach, but was still there. I would have to assume it didn't used to be overgrown and gross but i had fun finding it.
Cache spot is beginning to get a little bit overgrown but after a quick search found it
Find #2 for 12/3/22. Surprisingly this cache made us more myrmecophobic than the last . TFTC for the clever hide and use of the (not so) natural environment.
Did some geocycling around the lake and picked up a couple of caches in Weston Park for the 22 02 2022 souvenir day. Great to have a larger cache - we were watched closely by a couple of nearby kangaroos but I guess they don’t count as muggles. TFTC
Abit muddy after rain but still a quick find. Had some kangaroos quietly judge us as we swore at the prickles. Tftf
Twisting my knee earlier in the week has put a damper on hardcore caching. So I needed I cache I could reach on flat(ish) ground. My offspring was happy to drive me here and let me lose without my crutches.
The last time I was near here, the ground was saturated with water. It now seems to dry out again.

Nearly gave up then stopped, read and thought that’s it right near where I was standing
Found it! A little bit muddy in the area after rain. Cache all dry though. Thanks
Found it - was standing looking at it thinking WAY too obvious - so went deep into the over grown maze - terrified out of my mind - and little rally screamed when this fella came up on me and moaned !!!!!
Went back to the obvious and laughed a little

Chicken licken brought uncle John along today for a lovely stroll in the park

What a cool Location! We stumbled around in the bushes for so long before finding the cache, thankyou!
After bashing about in what I believe was the maze, we found it accidentally when someone noticed the lid of the cache. The maze would have been very cool to see when it was operated, now a an overgrown mess of trees. Thanks for the information that one was here Tankengine, I had no idea there was one.
After working on a nearby multi l ducked off this morning to attempt this hide while l was in the neighbourhood. It was nice and quiet here this morning and l had no troubles locating this one, interesting cache holder too. It would of been nice to have seen the maze way back when, thanks again Tankengine for the hide and for bringing me here.
Bring your muscles and be prepared for a bit of mud.
Almost out of space in the log.
Sad about the maze.
