Today went to check on cache location and was where it was originally placed so was never over the fence as previously mentioned.
But unfortunately over time the other tree has gone leaving a small stump and more than likely the cache has disappeared within or taken away when the tree most probably died.
Will achieved as we no longer want to keep it active with a new cache container.
Thanks to all geocachers who have FOUND THIS CACHE.

The cache when originally first placed was just off the road,
Will check on why it would be fenced off when travel permits.

The hint items are on the other side of an electrified fence..possibly private property......noting this cache has not been found since 2019
The plan was a walk at Lake Rotoroa, then check out Glenhope as The Seagnoid is on another railway mission. But its drizzly and cold so going to Glenhope first.
We have checked out the monument and Railway station. So while here just had to snag and tag this one. Cheers

out with Red Roaming as we tour the world but spending the most time in New Zealand. Logs signed DD & RR or with our full caching names. having spent a lovely night in Westport backpackers we are on our way to another backpackers near Hope. The weather is much better today although we might get the odd shower. No showers so far! apologies for the cut and paste logs. this was our last cache of the day as we are very near our hostel for tonight. TFTC
Quick find here by me thankfully as I had totally missed finding the last cache we visited! Last one of our day and now off to find our near BBHostel. Many thanks

Finally, the day has come and I have arrived to New Zealand. This three week long trip has been planned for more than 6 months. First of all, I was going to visit my daughter and her boyfriend, who has been on the islands for almost one year, next was to see as much as possible of both North and South islands. My daughter had done a day to day planning on where to go and what to see. This trip was not planned as a Geocaching trip, but we should definitely search for some caches all over the islands.
Day 12. Mapua - Rapahoe
Today we went to the west coast and Rapahoe. On the way there we made a short stop here to look for this cache. Easy found in its hiding place.

A quick park and grab here for us. Luckily the farmers whose gate we blocked while retrieving the cache was nowhere in sight and we were gone quickly.
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
On my journey back to Nelson now, but with a few caches to grab on the way.
A quick pull-off here and after determining that the beer can I found was *not* the cache, I quickly found the proper thing.
Thanks

Today was the day we wanted to crank up some numbers so we went caching for 'park and Grabs'. It was a lovely day and we started in Wakefield before heading south and then back north. This was cache No 44. Thanks to all the cache owners who made this a special day.
Easy find.. at the side of the hide. I put it back where the hint says it should be

NZDi and I had planned a two day caching weekend with the original idea to cache from Blenheim to At Arnaud to Kawatiri Junction to Nelson on Friday, then cache around Nelson on Saturday. We decided this would be too ambitious and scaled it back and start from Kawatiri Junction and this was the seventh cache of the day.
Throughout the weekend our logs were signed Kiwimykl + NZDi or KM + ND or variations of the two with or without the date depending on the size of the space available and / or the particular logging requirements of the CO.
A short detour off a side road had us looking for this cache. We had to rely on the hint to find this on as both out devices were indicating off track, one at 11m and the other 13m.
Not exactly a QEF PnG as it should have been but we've spent lots more time for lots less result in the past.
TFTC samy!

Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.

It's strange that I didn't stop here five years ago on my last trip up to Nelson. On that one I stopped at the cache "Hope" just up the road and my friend who was with me ended up in Nelson hospital needing to have several stitches put into her leg. This cache was a lot less traumatic.

Just a short stop on our trip northwards. The cache was easy to find, thanks a lot.
Nice to get off the main road for a cache. Quick find after one other cacher already today. TFTC
A plan was hatched to try and grab a number of caches, in excess of 120 if possible. I had already found a load between Renwick and St Arnaud but consulting the map around St Arnaud area showed some semi power trail drive by caching opportunities. Fellow Manawatu cacher the Seagnoid was asked if he was interested and a resounding yes was the answer. So the car was fuelled up at very early o'clock and provisions for munching were also loaded. An 0630 start was the plan and the day came to its conclusion around 2130 after approx. 15 hours of driving and caching.
Outcome was a very successful figure in excess of 130 caches which constitutes best day ever (for both of us), best week, month and year too. Over 500kms driven today and man I feel tired but need to make a start logging the finds, and DNFs. Thanks to all the C Os involved in making our day such a great one. Nearly all caches were well maintained, interesting and accurately plotted. There were bellbirds, beech trees, pies and water, sealed roads, gravel tracks, no sandflies (thankfully), rivers and bridges and creeks and bridges and streams and bridges and much conversation about all things caching
A great day out in good company and all made possible by the efforts of the hiders.
T F T C to all the cache owners. We mostly signed as C/S or Capp/Seag or other combos

[green] Capperz called me up saying he wanted to get his ruby Busy Cacher badge, and try for 120 caches in a day. I said YES PLEASEE!!, as I too had tried this once before but only achieved 103 before night defeated me and Edvern in Auckland last year. A successful day, with over 130 caches found in 14.5 hours and 500km. Also tiring - I went to bed as soon as I got home, despite it not being dark yet (yes, we could have cached some more, but the next objective is 180 caches, and there was no way we would have achieved that!). Alas, I had to leave all the planning to Capperz, and he produced a great little plan, listing all the target caches (and more) with which way to turn at next intersection after a cache - a great way to plan a back road travel.
The day was cool, cloudy, with a little drizzle. Perfect caching weather - the weather kept most of the muggles away from the muggle areas.
Thanks to all the COs for a great day out exploring the back roads of the Marlborough region!
Logs signed as CS or occasionally as CapSeag.

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
This was it - one of the caches on our big day

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
Today was to be our biggest day. S planned the route to cover the most possible easy to get P&G’s but we ended up not limiting ourselves to only those. D2.5? Why not? Let the brain have a bit of fun! D3? I am sure we can get there quickly!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!
Come and join us the next New Zealand geocaching MEGA event!! Register your interest now at www.nzmega2015.com to receive newsletter updates and be the first to know. It will be a great event, come and be a part of it!!

Have replaced cache with a smaller container and a new replacement log book.
Bring your own pen or pencil for signing the log book and only the date and username only to be put in the log book, due to its size.
Thanks and enjoy the area as there will be some work going in due time to restore the nearby Railway Station.

Found in the rain after we had to drive some extra 1xx km as a jacket did want to extend its stay at a cave.
I drove south today from Nelson to the Glaciers. It was a very sunny and bright day and I enjoyed the ride very much. I drove through wonderful landscape that could be put on postcards and I visiting many interesting places along the way. This is also due to the caches I have found, this being one of them. Each cache made my journey ever more pleasant! A big thank you to all owners!

While caching with Holymu after a glance at the web page we had this preconceived idea where the cache would be. So near GZ we parked up and had a wander to and look around the historic building. The GPS disagreed however So back we went and let us be shown the way. TFTC
A quick stop on the way back from the coast and we thought the cache was in another spot, that's what happens when you don't read the cache description first The GPS has to take some of the blame though as it didn't start counting down until we were past GZ. Eventually we back tracked and found what we were looking for. TFTC.
