Arrived and talked to 2 feathered friends. They wouldn't tell of location.... 'Major' might be a minor but may need a check up!!!
Here for emergency services day. Talked to the wrong majors. My muggle husband worked it out and youngest son retrieved. Tftc
Called past here today on the way to cairns and after a little looking came you with the good

Was in Rocky for in-law business, but this morning it is MY business. Was driving past, sort of, so took the chance for a look here. I visited very nearby last trip for work, but hadn't looked at the puzzle so ignored it. This time I'd come prepared with what was needed to be done, and made a fairly quick find.
Thanks for placing this cache, dandent. Found in good condition.

I was in Rockhampton for work and I decided to grab some caches before starting the job.
This was next on my hitlist. I read the description and decided to check out the area. Even in the front area there is a decent collection of cars and other memorabilia. I eventually came up with some idea and was pleased when I found something that matched the hint.
Reading back in the logs - I don't see any mention of the old cache ever being found - so this replacement I found must be the cache. That'll do. The dates in the replacement logbook are going back 5 years anyway
An enjoyable little cache. TFTC dandent

Had to scratch the old head a bit for this one......hum is it the Major' of the feathered variety or something else. Wandered around, pretty obvious really , thanks for this little puzzle!
A leisurely stroll from caravan pk this morning
Checked out one likely spot but then searched elsewhere
Should have stayed at obvious spot as headed back there and located straight away
How did we miss it the first time ,we asked ourselves
Any way signed the log returned it to its hidibg spot then checked out the area
tftc and bringing us to this great place to explore

It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things on a roadtrip a long way from home. So, a caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned. The well planned though overly optimistic caching itinerary included miscellaneous mind bending puzzles, half a dozen or so of Queensland's Oldest caches a few wee hill climbs, a healthy selection of unloved caches and any other interesting caches in between.
After a day caching in Rocky, we opted for dinner at the local tavern, before heading towards Yeppoon for some evening caching and a spot to roll out our swags. On the way, we drove past this one. I had done a little research on this and had an idea of what was required.
When we pulled into the carpark, a security car nearby tailed us around the car park and parked close by to observe our activities. After a frustrating day caching with a string of DNF's behind us, we were in no mood to explain ourselves to the guard, so we opted to move on.
Maybe next time.

Can owner verify whether the cache might get lost in the rain. We looked where we thought and used small hands but just got muddy???
Lol. Went to leave and spotted a different type of majors. 3 majors in one spot. Loved it!
When we finally found the 'Major' it was a fairly quick find.
Unfortunately the Village was closed today (Anzac Day) but we'll be back. It looks interesting.
Thanks for the cache and fun we had finding this one dandent.

Found with Mystery6 and andy roo 2 while in town visiting them. Major is a little magnificent. Small manoeverable hands advantage..
Great idea. Loved the hiding spot. The container was slightly bigger then expected,
Easy find on a day of showing TB Bryan around Rocky. It was his goal.

Dropped in to this one to have a quick look after little looking seen what I thought was the cache but because there were way to many muggle eyes and muggle passerbyer I decide was it was just better off leaving it for another time

Took us a while to locate the Major, but when we did it was a very easy find. TFTC.
So glad I knew what I was looking for and had this one in hand quickly. Unlike the other 5 I DNF'd today.
This one took a bit to find .. Gps was about 50m out didn't take a pen with us but we prepared a bottle cap with out initials on it had to think a fair bit on this one 7-3-15
Grabbed this one on the way to the Gladstone get together. Saw the major on approah and couldn't resist stopping in. Tftc
This took a while to work out, but eventually found it! The major is not on the grounds and is about 50m from where coordinates lead you.
Not what we expected at all but it didn't take us long to realise what we should pay close attention to. This was definitely a job for Muggle Hubby on Father's Day and he achieved it in a very quick time. Thanks for putting a smile on his face and a new smiley on our map
We parked in the car park near the listed coords and wandered around aimlessly for about 20 minutes. With some assistance from previous logs and Google we managed to find the Major and made a quick find of the cache. TFTC.
Found this one with a friend and couldn't see it on my app but could on his. Soon realized i only had the intro version which I just realized and fixed up then bang all of a sudden all these other colours popped up all over the place . found with tenillematt aswell
While researching geocaches that I wanted to find for my flying trip to Rockhampton, this one came through my filters, being that it was hidden before I started geocaching - and a mystery type. I read all about it and wondered what weirdness was involved. Another read and I was happy I didn't have to pay to find it and such I figured it 'could' be a quick park and grab.
I'd be a liar, complete with pants ablaze if I said I didn't try to jet-ski this one. I googled and mapped and shouted out loud to try to find out who/what/where/why the Major is. I had no luck. So half because the cache is old and half because curiosity now had the better of me, it made the 'to-do' list - all mysteries yet to be solved.
The detour out of town on the map looked significant - but Rocky is only a small place by comparison to my home stomping grounds and after a few minutes I was at the spot. I figured the Major wouldn't be the first idea that came to mind, but I did have another idea. As I turned off the main drag it all came quickly together. Thankfully I have an interest in just that 'subject' and have worked with similar before too. I was slightly annoyed I didn't think of it but stoked I had this one in the bag.
I parked as close as possible and made the mad dash towards the Major. A quick look about and I found the container. Getting it out was a bit like moving a lounge suite through a cat door but we got there in the end. All in good condition inside and now happily sporting my signature. TFTC dandent

[green] Stopped here on our way down from Marlborough to Rocky and stopped here to get some local info. While Mrs was chatting to the staff I wandered around and found some Waymarks to log. When we were about to leave I checked to see if there were any GCs and spotted this, usually I cant be bothered with puzzles as im just not clever enough, lol. This one seemed pretty straight forward and after reading some previous logs got a few clues. Soon managed to find 'Major' and Chloe found the cache pretty quickly[/green]

So after talking to the cockatoos for far too long and looking like galahs, we came to the realisation the the major might not ask questions - like "what are you doing?", and saying "hello" continually. You know your looking at the wrong thing when even the birds are puzzled at your activities. After reading some of the other logs, we made our way back out side and soon discovered the home of the prize - 'the major' and the log. Thanks for an interesting cache. SL
Toured around everything in front of the info booth (ie the free stuff) for a while. Awesome old cars on display! That would've made the trip worthwhile alone. However, I came for a cache. Having trouble finding the major, I asked one of the volunteers for help. She was perplexed, but grabbed a young fella with a cowboy hat and boots on (who also worked there). He knew exactly where to go. Took me right to it. I had to give them a little intel on this gloabal treasure hunt, but I did not tell them what it was called and did not mention a physical container... only that I wanted to photograph "The Major" and move one, which I did. Once the cowboy left however, and I turned back and grabbed the cache. TNLNSL TFT[?]C!!
Unsure how to approach doing this cache at first. Arrived at GZ just after the museum had closed and one of the volunteers came over to talk to us and gave us a map of Rockhampton and a tour book. Mr Beetle knew what the clue meant but as we couldn't find it in the available area we decided it must be inside the locked gates and we would have to call in again on our way north tomorrow. Did think this was strange though as you are usually informed about caches that are unavailable 24/7 in the cache description. As we were driving out we saw the necessary item so we stopped and checked it out and found the replacement cache. Feel free to delete our log if this cache is not an acceptable find. Thanks, looks like a very interesting place to visit.
That was fun! Now we know what a Major is...info for the owner of the cache, the log has notes in it saying its a replacement of the original cache???
Got the wrong time to pick up my daughter from a musical practice at her nearby school, so with the extra time and this being the nearest unsolved cache I had a go. Took me a few minutes to realise what the "Major" was. I guessed and when I got there, I could see I had guessed right, and had the cached in about 1 minute. Thanks Dandent - really like this one.
Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Cache found this visit. We looked there last time but not properly. Thanks for the cache guys, we love your work.

We had a chat with the Majors on our way south and had no luck, they told us where to look so on our way home we looked and we found it without any trouble. I kept telling Geohubby where I thought it was and guess what I was right. TFTC
Bit disappointing.....No Treasure! BUT we put one in for the next finders! We should've trusted our first hunch instead of questioning the birds!

We couldn't figure out what the 'Major' was let alone find the cache. Life is like that
Found the Major with no problem, but were unable to come up with the goods, the major has had a recent coat of paint, so hope the cache has not gone with the old colors. Will try again next time we are in town.
We didnt have a lot of time to spend on this one as we were just passing through. Will have to try another time.
This one took me a little while to find. In the end it took logic and persistence to find the major and then the cache soon followed.

Good hide! We got to the location and there was a wedding on. Managed to sneak in to get the cache without being seen.
Should have known. As we drove past the major i said "its probably in there." Then spent the next 20 mins looking for a different major. Finally found the "major" and found it in seconds. Thanks for the Cache.
