Looked a few times now with no success. Had time today to get right under and had a good look around. I can't find it. Can CO confirm it is there?

27-Feb-18
A mate visiting Rockhampton reminded me of this cache.

Concerned about the DNF's, I had spoken to a previous finder who described the hide to me. Nada.. Nothing.. Zilchio for me.

Might be time this one was checked out....

12-Dec-17
Couldn't find this one, despite a really good look around. I've looked here before, same result.

Happy to found this one...
At last one mystery in Australia !
Thanks for the discovery and greetings from France !

21-May-17
We spent alot of time here without luck. Not sure how we could miss it...

20-May-17
It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things on a roadtrip a long way from home. So, a caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned.

Thee were lots of puzzle on the to do list and all three of us agreed on final coordinates. An extensive search came up empty handed.

Having lots of DNF's today. Perhaps the CO could verify this cache is there.

Pete

20-May-17
Visitied with the Bromance as part of our weekend roadtrip from Brisbane to Yeppoon and back. All three of us agreed on a location but no cache was to be found in the likely hiding spots despite a lengthy search of the area which sucked up valuable caching time.

31-Jan-17
Found it all dressed up in my greasy grimey work clothes plenty of grease all over me, I at least looked like a work person while I hunted about. Happened to have the makings of a replacement cache in the car, so that's done tho it doesn't have much in the way of cammo it is at least lidded again. I live this one, a really great spot to bring us all, thanks!

25-Apr-16
We dropped by here this morning but the area was crawling with muggles - was a gathering point for the Anzac parade. So we returned this arvo and the place was deserted. Great! We had no luck finding it at our calculated GZ so we spread our search and eventually found it. Big Grin Our GPSr had it 10m off.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache dandent. Cache is in pretty good condition.

17-Apr-16
'D' worked out the direction we needed to look & a lucky guess by 'J' soon saw the cache in hand. TNLN SL Thanks for the cache.

03-Apr-16
THANKYOU!

Second mystery done - thanks

02-Apr-16
Nearly a month in between finding a cache. I know i am slack some times but this was because of too much work. Sent up to Rocky and was worked flat out. It was lovely to find some time to walk around town and i'll find more next time i am up here.

28-Mar-16
Thanks for the cache. A nice team effort with zoeandcalin and my trusty sidekick geoturtle who had the sharpest eyes for this one.

28-Mar-16
Public holiday was a perfect time to go visit this location muggle free. Out caching with friends and soon found although I would have said the cache was not quite the distance from the GZ as specified. Tftc Smile

14-Feb-16
Omg hahahahha.

14-Feb-16
This one stretched my patience .... Found after about 40 minutes with fellow catchers TFTC

20-Jan-16
Tftf found with sis n neph while we were here visiting 4 holidays and introducing them to the game. A little knowledge of types of caches and places to put them help secure the find

08-Jan-16
Making a find for today, Ratdog and I came here to have another look. Seems the place is closed on fridays. so it was only a cache we were looking for. We sorted out the needed infer and set off. We searched the area our gps thought we should but nothing there would hide a cache we widened the search and eventually backed up 10m or so and made the find. The container has lost its lid hinge but the lid is still there, the log book was in tatters so we left a new one and cleaned out the cache (hope you don't mind). We don't have anything sorted to replace the container with so with a little bend here and there the lid was made to stay and we replaced the cache to its hide. Should be find now.
Sad to say that we used the only spare logbook we had on us so we were not able to hide a new cache later in the day but we will be back

TFTC Dan

08-Jan-16
Last time we came by to look for this one, the plane we were meeting was flying overhead so we didn't have time for a proper search, today no worries. I find was made , cache repairs down too. now for some shopping before work.

TFTC Dan

Fond on the last day of long drive home to Townsville.
Somehow missed to log this one last I was in Rocky, this morning was a good time for a log too.
Thanks for hiding this one

Had some free time this morning (6am) so went had a look for this one as it was not far from where we where staying did the calculation last night and set off for a walk got to where the blue dot was then entered the new cords after a little bit searching came up with the prize was about 10 metres short of the new cords but we found it
The tin is a rough now the lid won't stay on but did my best to make sure it stayed there as we where not carrying any tool to repair it

Great hide nice place luck we came when it was closed other wise prob not of left lol

Up to Rocky and out for an early morning walk. Reckon I was in the right spot, but no container could I see today. Happy it was early morning as I would be uncomfortable here with locals about.

26-Jul-15
We were intending to look for a few caches around the area today but we only got as far as finding this one and then entered the premises and spent the next hour or two looking round and going for a ride on the steam tram. TFTC & the ensuing activities.

25-Jul-15
We went for a walk to see if the Purrey was at home and it was! TFTC.

29-Apr-15
Could not locate if Purrey was at Home

Very close to coords, but not quite right Wink

17-Nov-14
In Rocky for work. A spare hour before having to start, no better way to spend it!

Wish i had more time to explore the museum!

TFTC estimated co ords were about 10m away from where i founf the cache in a likely spot.

TFTC left geo lego.

Found it!!

24-Jul-14
After 7 yrs I still can't manage to find this cache. Too many Muggles today

17-Jul-14
After visiting the excellent railway museun, unfortunately on the wrong day to ride on Purrey, we tried our naviguessing skills on the cache. Bit of a problem getting accurate at wp1 due to the portico so some appromimation was used and we got to a likely spot, and the old where would I hide it method resulted in a smilie.

Bill at the museum really brings the place to life with his personal railway history.

Thanks dandent

19-Jun-14
Today is our last day in Rocky so we went in search of some local caches still to be found.
This was a great morning, & a variety of caches were found.
This was our second attempt to find thid cache. Was not as far away as 55m
Thanks for placing this cache dandent

18-Apr-14
Really enjoyed doing this cache. Marco had worked out a set of possible coords with the assistance of Google. Once at the published coords we headed to the calculated coords. We spotted a number of possible hiding places and with the help of a mirror were able to spot the cache. TFTC.

18-Apr-14
Tried to find this cache for a second time, even with fresh eyes it still Stayed hidden. Be careful of syringes in the garden. Can anyone verify that cache is still there Sad

25-Mar-14
I was on a mission to find postcards and souvenir t-shirts for the kids. Found the cards but not the shirts. And didn't find this cache. But I ran out of time so could only search one of the likely spots. Oh well...

03-Feb-14
Luckily the geocaching Gods must have been smiling down on me for this one this afternoon. I had added this mystery type to my 'to-do' list for the afternoon when I flew myself into Rockhampton. Being a small offset puzzle I didn't bother solving it at home, rather now late in the afternoon, headed for the posted co-ords in my hired Hyundai . It was a ghost town here today, thankfully I'd managed to wind up here after business hours - although a tour of the old railway exhibits would have been nice too. I did what needed to be done, made the adjustments and toddled over to where the GPSr now wanted me.

With previous logs in mind I started looking about but after checking out the tall and wide feature there had no joy. I decided I was barking up the wrong fence and so put my GPSr in my pocket and just started looking for other likely spots. It didn't take long to spot the cache. It was tucked away, but in an obvious spot. The eclipse tin is still in great condition and as I signed the logbook I let my GPSr settle and it was saying the offset of only 44 metres would have worked better for me today. I rehid the cache as found and headed of ffor the next one. TFTC dandent Smile

Hate to throw in the towel, but I have to on this one. I had lots of time to search alone on my first visit here last week interrogating 10m+ of infrastructure on either side of calculated GZ. Left to do a bit more research (sat views, read all logs, etc). Went back for another go at it today. Had to wait out a taxi driver and some walkers by. All I found was a jolly old 140cm-tall chap who was tickled pink to tell a war story or two to a Yank like me. Nice fella! We parted ways, and then I commenced to search again. No luck at all... even in the sneaky spots. Oh well. TFTH dandent!

24-Jun-13
Arrived in town at lunch time, to stay or a couple of days.
Decided to look around town and picked up a few caches.
Found this one in good condition and well hidden.
Great history here.
Thanks for the cache, dandent.

13-May-13
This little cache eluded me today !! Sad
But the steam train museum made up for that Smile
What great history is lurking at Archer Park !!

25-Apr-13
Not today. Turns out showing up to the cache 5 mins before the entire population of Rockhampton arrive to start their anzac march probably isn't the best idea. I located the likely spot but felt a bit like a terrorist suspect so I moved on. Did find a swag looking little green ball, not sure if it was once in the cache or not, but i'll added it once I find it, or pop it in another. Until next time.

30-Mar-13
Maybe next time?

19-Feb-13
Found this one on GZ,nice hide.
Thanks.

Cache Raid to Rockhampton with Gunnie69..

Numbers are the name of the game & so we came to partake of the caches in the area

Arrived at near GZ in company of Ghostgums & Mr Meccano as well today

Search began & I soon had made the extreaction

Log signed & we then moved around to look at the steam tram being readied for an excursion

TNLNSL

Thanks dandent

18-Nov-12
I did the projection for this one at home and established a likely final location... In town this weekend for an event weekend, Kaisho53 and I pulled up at GZ for a hunt, only to be joined by fellow Brisbanites, Ghostgums and Mr Meccano... [^]

I hovered at my suggested location, Kaisho53 moved in a bit closer and pulled the container from its lair... Well, that was easy... Big Grin

Business done, we walked around the corner and checked out the tram. We hadn't quite timed it right for a ride but we had a good look and stood by while it was refueled... See pics... Wink

A nice spot to bring us out of towners...

Cheers dandent.

18-Nov-12
Arrived at GZ to find Guniie69 and Kaisho53 parking nearby, so we joined in on the hunt and the cache was quickly pulled out of its hiding hole by Kaiho53.

Found with MrMeccano on the Caching in the Hamptons weekend.

TFTC dandent Big Grin

Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Cache found this time. I spotted the cache in the second place I looked. Right not left. Thanks for the cache guys, we love your work.

18-Nov-12
Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo. Found this at last on the return visit. Noice.

A day of caching from Koumala to Boyne Island. A road trip with a chance to stretch the legs is a good thing.

Thanks to dandent and clear skies from TeamAstro.

You pwned us n00bs.
Cool

Walked the walk and looked the look. On hands and knees. perhaps it's the 500kays we just drove. Perhaps. Smile

Thanks to dandent and clear skies from TeamAstro.

09-Nov-12
Epic fail! You pwned us n00bs... At both 44 and 55m.

14-Oct-12
Found it with GrubCloud

16-Sep-12
yep must agree, its more the 44 metres than 55. Took a few trips to have a clear run from muggles. 10 minutes had the cache located. Took marble left bear pin.

12-Aug-12
Only cache found today. A lot of walking without success, until now!
It was too early to look inside, but I will come back to see... TFTC

10-May-12
# 210 Rocky caches appear to be resisting me. 4 attempted hides with only 2 finds last night. After a long day of driving and work, I decided to pick up a few more before turning in for much needed sleep. "You'd have to be blind" was solved before coming to town, but I must be blind because I couldn't see it. I then checked out "Alexandra Rail" but a muggleteen had set up camp right on GZ, so I had to move on.

Decided to give "Purrey's Home" a go. I had read the logs about 44 meters, so had plotted both before coming to town.I chose to search the 44 plot first, and found in the first spot I looked.

TNLN nearly lost the marble TFTC

Took the kids and grabbed this find on the way home from church. It took about 5 minutes - and I would say it was less than 50 meters too - although I realise it depends on where the GPS places the starting location as to how far it is to GZ. Thanks Dandent - we enjoy your caches.

03-Mar-12
TFTC TNLN 2nd for the morning Smile

29-Feb-12
Yep I'd say 44 metres as well. Didn't have time to go inside today but I will be back, I was quite curious about all the great sounds I could hear from outside, It sounded like a really interesting place to visit.

02-Feb-12
Tftc. I'd go for 44 meters from co-ords.

finally able to look with no muggles around.

14-Aug-11
The directions sent me looking about 20 metres away from the cache but otherwise good fun to find.

30-Jul-11
In town for the Qld vets hockey championships so nabbed a couple of caches near where we were staying TFTC.

24-Jul-11
Easy find on second attempt.

TNLN thanks for the cache.

16-Jul-11
Looked ofr about 15 minutes but did not find. Had trouble projecting the co-ordinates from GZ. My eTrex only allowed me to project in increments of 100m so I sort of had to project out then stop 45m short of the projected mark.

Took me to a fairly obvious sort of hiding spot but no luck on the search.

Maybe tomorrow.

09-Jul-11
As we approached this one we saw someone standing on the steps looking at their phone, we both said 'geocacher' at the same time - this turned out to be correct. We used the waypoint projection on our GPS and both of us headed off the GZ. Mr Shifter located the cache after a few minutes of looking, we chatted for a few minutes - gave a hint on a cache we had just completed and then parted ways.
A great spot for a cache.

09-Jul-11

Was running solo for this one at first then met fellow geocachers Shifter Brains from down south and found quite easily. Had a good chat. Tftc ..hooroo Very Happy

Our 900th cache. Another milestone. We arrived at the entrance and were greeted by two welcoming gents one of whom insisted on taking our photo at the entrance and then allowed us to go inside to look around. After the tour we went outside and located the cache. Took the Feng Shui coin and left a chook TFTC.

Looked for quite awhile, but could not find this one.

02-Jun-11
Glad we were doing this after dark. Took a bit of hunting to find it. Cheers Gav [8436]

02-Jun-11
Weren't sure whether to use a magnetic or true bearing. found it all the same. TFTC.

17-Apr-11
nearly gave up but decided to check yet again and there it was, left a small feng shui coin

23-Mar-11
interesting spot. found ok from projection. thanks

22-Feb-11
Had a good look around the projected position but could not find it. Then it started to rain and get dark, so I called it a night and acceoted defeat. Pity as this was the 2nd DNF today.

17-Dec-10
Brahms6 found this one with Moistvonlipwig. A great little micro for us and it taught me how to follow degrees on my GPS. SL TFTC

10-Oct-10
Made the required projection then move off in the car to find the cache. Managed to spot the booty from the car, but as we need to put it back a Wedding party turn up for a photo op. and delayed us a little.

TFTC

07-Oct-10
Once I had the direction and distance into my trusty 60csx I was on to it fairly quickly. Had to wait for a muggle to depart first though. TFTC

24-Sep-10
I don't normally do puzzle caches as I don't have a puzzle mind, so I was very excited when I attempted this one and actually got it!!! At least I know know how to work out the bearing on my GPS.

22-Sep-10
Went for a stroll this morning before starting work on this one day visit to town. Calced the coordinates before I left the motel, and while I ended up in a fairly logical spot with a few possibilities came up blank on this one. One to try next visit which should be in the next couple of months. Thanks dandent, I am sure this would be an interesting place to visit if I am ever in town with a spare few hours.

12-Sep-10
On second attempt, we found the find. Thinking back, the hiding spot was obvious. TFTF.

After trying a couple of times without success, finally worked out which direction to go but no cache. The area where I thought the cache would be has been extensively cleaned and cleared. Will try again some other time

29-Jul-10
I actually did the projection for this one from home. Once at GZ the cache was found in a logical hide, within the normal bounds. Thanks dandent.

13-Jul-10
I found a new place to visit next time I am in town, but no cache.
Of the three perfect hiding spots on location I could only open 1..but no cache.

08-Apr-10
Spent a couple of minutes configuring the bearings (its 320o not 300o!) but finally came up with the good at around 1725hrs.
Interesting area...A bit unfortunate that the museum was closed at the time of searching.
Thanks for that one Dan...was definitely a bummer after as we headed to the Customs House thinking that another Rocky Icons cache was their and then checking out Rod Laver, not even realising that their was another Rocky Icons cache, different to the Customs House one in the immediate area!

Thanks,
Camstal

06-Apr-10
Nice spot with a different twist, liked the add on with the use of iPhone compass... no worries.

TFTC

05-Apr-10
Found by Michael and Kristie. Took longer than expected as we didn't work the 320 out correct. Clues Regarding it not being moved was a help.

29-Nov-09
Found ourselves in the middle of the drive way and like Sentinel-Maximus said there was no where obvious to look. Too hot and too little time to hang around looking across the whole car park. Have to log a DNF unfortunately. Impressive building...TFTH...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot, Brisbane

01-Nov-09
A lovely place on this quiet sunday. We found the cache without any troubles.
Team Blitar and "a lovely world".

01-Nov-09
The question was: 320 degrees from what? Blitar had that one correct. Then I had my intuition to actually find the cache.

3pm finally got it right found after my third go at this one one day i will learn about bearing and degrees, and where north is, well I learnt Thanks for the experience --dandent

03-Oct-09
compass came in handy here, my guesstimate of north just wasn't good enough....
lovely spot, I loved hearing the sounds of a station as it would have sounded many years ago that the museum plays over speakers.

We guessed where it probably was but were a bit reluctant to search there, so we came back better prepared and there it was. Would like to visit the museum some time - unfortunately it isn't open on Saturdays! TFTC
