Walked in from Rapahoe but didn't find it. DOC have been renovating / upgrading the area. I wonder if it is there?
As per previous loggers found the cache / log bag sans container. TFTC, Biggles.
Easy find and a nice wander, as per the previous finders, just a couple of plastic bags, no container. TFTC.
After a good hunt in the likely place, some of the cache was found lying on the ground at the ‘entry’ point. Just a dirty plastic bag with a pencil, geocache info sheet, soggy desiccant sac and a calling card from Maus 1. Added a few sheets in a plastic bag with fresh desiccant and placed as expected. Will need a new container.
Log still ok, but only leaky plastic bag remains so this can do with some lovin'.
Got the cache name about 100 m short of GZ. Top walk. Was going to sit at GZ and log this find but the largest, most well fed blackfly I have ever seen started crash landing into me! They were so sated they could hardly latch on cache found compromised - put logs and things back in bag and tucked it back in. Pretty dry so could have happened quite recently. Needs new container. Thanks for this one - a very special walk.
Enjoyed the walk out to the point but it was spoilt be two people smoking there and no wind to blow it away. They did not want to move off so I could find. Got it in the end. Worth the view in the end. TFTC
One of my favourite walks around Greymouth, stunning veiws. The nearby blow holes through the flax were in full force on my visit.TFTC.
We enjoyed a pleasant walk to this cache, on a lovely sunny morning. It was a quick easy find. We met another couple at the lookout, and introduced them to geocaching. TFTC

Was a great cool evening for a jog up the Point Elizabeth, to find this cache! Awsome view up there. Did it without a GPS. Cheers
2764. A great walk to the cache from the Cobden end with a quick find as the GPS was bang on. Now the only problem was to get back down the track in the dark. It would have been easy but for the groups of bikers that kept appearing on our path.
Thanks

It was a dark and stormy night. Well it was night and therefore dark, and there was enough of a surf running to make great noises. Came at it from the Cobden end. Fantastic walk, great caching experience - thanks.
Nice but hot day on the westcoast. Some muggels around, so had to wait a bit. Longer way from Rapahoe.
WOW Nice cache found after cheaking my cache on the same trace enjoyed it
thanks alot

Found this one today before Pohutukawa! With him and Moneydork and White-Fox. Great spot out here at the point. Sea still quite rough and heaps of foam on Cobden beach.

Found this one today after a long walk out to the point.
Was beaten to the find by Annie and PB, who found the cache, logged it and returned it before I found it.

Very nice DNF --- now who was the doofus that left the bit of paper behind???? Huh ... come on, fess up. Had a lovely walk all the same - up in the half light, saw the sunset, back in the semi dark. Did have quite a good look where the GPS suggested, but now that we read the hint, perhaps not the right spot at all.
After a late night in The Revi (nothing changes on the coast) I spent the night in the car at the start of this track. Woke at 6am and walked off the beers from the night before. Enjoyed watching seals swimming in the surf. Only 2nd time I've been out here. Cheers.
Found on a really good day with Pinot Noir on a visit from Dunedin

Well this was a nice walk at 6.00am in the dark, the Volo TB came along for the ride.
Yahoo, our 500th cache and what a wonderful place to celebrate it was just on sunset and we had a can in our hands.
The walk out in the quickly diminishing light proved to be interesting as we encountered 6 possums on the track along the way also.
Dropped off Gold TB

Decided to do this one late Christmas morning. Gave us a chance to lose some calories before putting it all back on for lunch. Weather was interesting with the sea mist hovering around the hillside. However stayed dry the whole way and it turned out to be really muggy when we got to the cache area. The view looked like something out of a pirate movie. Started from Cobden and took us 30mins to get there.
TNLN Cheers!

Walked in from the Rapahoe end in 45 minutes - I guess the track distance to the cache would be about 3kms as the walkway goes inland for quite a bit before returning to the coast. Nice bush walk on a well maintained DOC track. Met up with 2 DOC staff, with their motorised wheelbarrow, performing track maintenance. They had started at the Cobden end and were to be picked up at Rapahoe at day's end. Nice job that. Whew! This turned out to be a very hot walk. I must walk the entire walkway some day. TNLN. T4TC.
Well, here I was sitting in Greymouth and saw this new one come up!! Being on a caching trip, I thought "That one's for me". There was a brief break in the rain, so I started from the Cobden end and took to the Walkway. And a very pleasant walk it is, with pungas, nikau, kiekie, and the thundering surf just below. The trail comes out into the open as one approaches GZ, and reception is great. The cache was easy to find (thanks for the FTF), and the views of the raw West Coast scenery were magnificent. Did the brisk walk back and reached my car after only 52min away - albeit from jogging the last 300m trying to escape a serious rain shower. Then it was off home to Christchurch - via 10 more caches on the way. No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(661)
