Note to one self! Read the logs before walking 500 mts at 10pm to a place where there has been 8 DNFs. GGGRRRR.
Why is this still active???

10-Mar-10
I didn't get to smell the roses today [:o]
As I strolled across to GZ some picnicing muggles turned up and sat down [:(!]
The size of the spread told me they would be there a while Sad

Hows about confirming the cache is still there?

09-Nov-09
We search very hard without success. This may have been muggled. Probably about time the owner checked on it and made a note so that others do not waste their time.

27-Oct-09
Thanks for bringing us to this locale during our le grande tour de Hunter.
We conducted a thorough search at and around GZ but didn't come up with the goods on this one.
The Turtle doesn't strike again! Sad

~ Ruffasgutts4x4 Hunter Discovery Tour ~
Caching Party comprised Geomatica, Deputy Dog, Ruffasgutts 4x4, Ruffasgutts 4x4 Jnr and The Wandering Wilkos.

Nope. No sign of this one despite all our efforts.

Perhaps it prudent for the cache owner investigate the status of this cache

I recon I know where I would have put it and we literally shoved the young'n there as far as he would go without luck. There was an endless stream of spent balloons, small balls etc being lobbed back at us by him as found more junk but no Cache this time.

18-Oct-09
Quite obvious where this is meant to be as there are not that many spots to hide it. Luckily we had the Geoboy that was light enough and vigilant like a fox terrier, he searched every nook and cranny but despite our best efforts this was another DNF for our caching teams Big Caching Day Ouy in Singo.
This one we a confident is unfortunately gone Sad

Wow that was a hard cache to retrieve, took a little bit of teamwork as neither of us could independently extract it. Cheers Gav [4143]

For some reason this cache appeared as unfound when I looked on Friday night, so I decided to stop in for a look on my way past as I was heading to the Rocket Man event in Tamworth on Saturday morning.

After searching area for a few minutes I stood back and said to myself "where could you possibly hide a small around here" and the cache was then quickly found and the new log book found. It wasn't untill I went to log the find that I realised it wasn't actually a first to find.

Took GC

Thanks.

** Coordinates Changed From **
S 32° 33.874 E 151° 09.608
Distance From Old: 7.6 feet
Co-ordinates update for the new hiding location Smile Geocoin drop for good measure. Smile

27-Mar-09
Cache grows to a small size now and hiding location (and co-ords) has changed, so in some respects is easier to retrieve/replace, but in some respects it's harder also. Smile

Trying again to re-enable listing...

24-Mar-09
Stay tuned, this geocache will be getting a little bigger and moving slightly in the near future... Smile

10-Feb-09
Cache check today, I couldn't find it so it will be disabled for a little while while I get it replaced. Unless it's had a major case of cache creep it appears to have disappeared somehow.

27-Jan-09
No luck. Looked high looked lowSad

Perserverance paid off as we searched thoroughly to locate this cache. It had been wedged in deep and required us making up a tool to extract it - thank heavens for the wire coathanger.

28-Aug-08
4stubbies and 2 friends searched high and low and couldnt find this one.

04-Aug-08
Tftc, didn't need the gps went on clue alone.
Very well hidden.

Had a look for this one while we had lunch. No joy with the cache but the AFL game was a good to watch. Have a good idea where it should be but it wouldn't show itself.

Too many muggles having morno. Checked previous logs so had an idea where it might be but did not have the opportunity of a thorough search. Had a long way to travel today & looking stormy down south. Hit a big storm at Kiama but fortunately hail only pea size. Will have another go when next in area. Thank you.

26-Feb-08
forgot to take the clue wit me found GZ no worries spent a bit of time looking but didn really know where to start may be able to find this one at a later date

23-Feb-08
We had to leave this one till another time. Looked high and low and in as many cracks and hole s as we could. Had lunch in shelter shed. Evan had the advantage of no muggles. But still could not find. Its always good to have one to come back for.
Thanks Subydazz for the challange.

1750 Wink Not too many people had found this, and I wondered why as I was walking over the oval. The GPSr lead me to 'GZ', and then had to look around for about 20 minutes. Luckily no muggles close by.
Suggest you bring a paddle-pop stick, as I also nearly lost my pen; not realising that somebody already had.
Brought a RSCAENSD's geoswag coin through, that would have fitted if I left the plastic pouch out.

17-Dec-07
Finally. On our 3rd visit we found this one nearly straight away, if only we looked there the first time. I guess it had to be 3rd time lucky. Signed log. Thanks Subydazz.

11-Oct-07
Found this one at night so the muggle factor was zero - however it also meant we had to walk to GZ from the gates. Took Geodogs for the walk. Nice hide.

10-Oct-07
too many muggles having a bbq at GZ. next time...

additional: its next time (4 days later) and there are still too many people enjoying GZ

Lesson number 1000 in Geocaching, if you think it shouldn't or wouldn't be there, it probably is! Red Face

This was the fourth time I returned to have a go at this one and it was 8pm, so no one was about. But that didn't make the search easier. I had the GPS reading 0.00mtrs but din't take into account the 4 mtr error. Frustration finally got to me and I sent a text for a hint and at the same time wandered to an area that I thought it shouldn't be. The text came back just as I was doing the first part of what was being recommended in the text message. When I went a bit further I just whinced and chalked another one up to education in this hobbie.

But the fun wasn't over! A tight squeeze it is and me with reasonably large mitts struggled for a while to get it out. Brigth thought, use my pen to push it, then lost pen. Sad Eventually retrieved it and signed the log, with spare pen, and putting it back was a lot easier.

I've now noted the comments from past cachers and wish future searches luck.

SUBYDAZZ, I've learnt a lot from chasing your caches on my short holiday down here. Big Grin

Still there. And you can get to it without a boat now Smile

10-Jun-07
This cache is not expected to be affected by current major flooding of the Hunter River. You may need a boat to get near it for a little while though...

10-Apr-07
Just as one lot of muggles left, I started searching. About a minute later a family turned up and looked like they were settled in for the afternoon. I'll have to come back some other time.

27-Mar-07
We searched and searched for this one, climbed on and under everything in the area and still had no luck Sad

I rode past into the car park area to have a go at this one, only to see a group of people having lunch at the tables, right in the direction the arrow was pointing, so I didnt even get off the bike for this one. I continued on.

Cheers

The co-ords get you close enough, it's pretty obvious it's there somewhere. For the record though I agreed with the originals.

Found after a bit of searching and waiting for a couple of muggles to finsh packing up and go before we could have a crack at it.

Thanks for the find.

S32 33.874 E151 09.608, this may be a little closer after getting more averages of location on a couple of different days, but I think my original co-ordiates were not far off this anyway - less than 3m.

No luck at this one, fading light and netball muggles got the better of me, I will return.
