Had a good scratch around the obvious places but this area has clearly been well under water and so the cache may need checking.
Oh dear I think this has washed away. The walk was great but everything on the tree line was under water so.....

TFTC lovely walk down to a place I would never have suspected contained such a hidden sanctuary of trimmed green lawns, big shady trees and abundant smatterings of Gods little creatures. Left tb, dropped in some swag. Thanks again crew. I think us geocaching community needs to do a sistema chip in for you one day to thank you for your prolific endeavours. Favourite point for this leafy paradise
Found the nice little track to the GZ. Was a little wet so we slipped a couple of times. Once we were close enough to the GZ it was a pretty easy find. TFTC
Were in the area this afternoon so parked at the car park at the Southern end and enjoyed a late afternoon walk in the park. Nice little park along the river with some neat tree. An easy park and grab but wonderful ambiance. TFTC Crew 153
An easy find. Nice area to walk around. Took some great pics of flowering trees.
I should have read the hint first-I entered via the North entrance, a bit of a task at first but all was OK-had troubles with my GPS as the overhead canopy was playing havoc. Arrived at GZ after some doing and found the Cache, which was partially exposed. TFTC SL and covered cache with a good covering of leaves.
There are some beautiful big bunya pines here along the river. Pity they're not in season bc I love bunya nuts.
It's hot out here today. 40°C on my count. Glad to have scored 3/3 caches here today. Time to get some water and escape the heat.

Copped a few spiderwebs in the face... As came from north. Cache hidden under leaves, but good likely spot
On a cache hunt in the area we couldn't miss this one. Found Abelia Drive had a parking area at the end leading onto a nice grassy walk to the cache. It certainly is a much greater challenge to access GZ from the north. Found the cache nicely hidden. Cache contents are a bit musty but log is o.k. Thanks for bringing us to learn this bit of history in this area Crew 153. Read the interesting plaque/sign before we left. TNLNSL.
Out today with a friend, Mr_Fy.
As he mentioned we came in from the north. Not too bad a walk. Quick find as it was exposed.
Thanks for the cache. All dry and in good condition.

Our first cache! Wasn't too hard to find. Left some Singapore money. Mozzies are a bit aggro!
Parked at the north end to eat our dinner (meat pie from the servo), then read the previous logs and decided to go to the south end.
when we got there we saw that it was over twice the distance, but decided against going back and arousing the attention of people in the houses.
Seems we made the right choice because the path in was just a walk in the park
Cache was found quickly, although the log book is damp.

Yes to the Terror-ist's wonderings about days gone by, I sure felt the past was present as i walked into the big clearing. Very powerful atmosphere there today. I knew a Crew153 cache would be intact, perhaps when the owner returns from circumnavigating Australia he can remove the first aid sign from the cache listing. it was ok today. I think the secret is to place the cache on a sufficiently high bed above ground so it won't be sitting in water. And be aware the terrain listing is not quite accurate if you are coming from the north as I did today. Fortunately some of the mud had dried out so my new running shoes stayed reasonably clean. Lots of rustles in the greenery so wildlife is around. Also if you park at the north entrance notice the big Bunya Pine (araucaria bidwillii) with the bird nesting boxes attached. Left a trackable Porsche - you'll have to come and tow him out of here, he's certainly not driving away.
Co-ords for northern entry (tougher terrain to cache) were S21 41.735 E153 08.403

Geoman went sliding down the hill with geokid in arms both ended up muddy. So me, geoson and the archers09 found alt route!
Woo got a bit muddy and u think the bag and the container needs a clean ants and maggots on it :/
Great cache - didn't have a pen to log the find on the day but will return soon!
This was the 3rd Cache today showing friends our wonderful game of Geocaching.
We headed for the closest point near the cache and headed off. After a little difficulty Geo Mum found the cache. Geo Mum, Geo Youngest Daughter, Friend and Daughter thought they would head another way to check out more of the park, while Geo Dad (Me) went back to get the car and meet them at the alternative location.
Well!! Without going into full details let me say that I was glad I had a change of clothes in the car (as we were going out this evening)because my return journey did not go as well as our inward journey.
So for the assistance of future Geocachers I post this -
WARNING - Do not approach this GZ from the Northern end

Just cruising around the area seeing what caches come up on the map.... and this one obviously did.
Tracked it down after a bit of a wander.
Thanks for the cache Crew153. Nice one.
I grabbed the fancy coin and will keep it moving.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache stalking ninjas jumped on in.

What a nice quite place to visit decided to leave a geocoin TB and you guest it a rabbit TN SL TFTC cheers
Had some issues getting to the parking today, turns out the streets marked on my GPS are actually just gravel/grass land blocks. Oops. After sorting out that issue I arrived at the obvious carpark. Read the sign and made my way off to the cache. I absolutely love learning about the history of our area and the sites of the earliest settlements are always great to visit. It's a shame that the large Moreton Bay Fig has died on the property though. Time takes it's toll though I suppose. A great walk along a great spot, I can never help myself from wondering what it must have been like on this ground 100 years ago. TFTC Crew 153.
Found on a beautiful brisbane day with ninja e.t and tomctomc for Tom's birthday.
Tftc this is a great spor.
Tftc this is a great spor.
And I was hoping there would be a HJ Holden to be seen The park was deserted today and I made my way in toward GZ. The cache was found very easily and in good condition. An interesting area and I took time out to read the sign. TFTC Crew 153
Well I think we may have approached this from the wrong direction but we found the cache anyway! There was a large resident spider guarding the cache for you! Thanks Crew 153
Found after a short hunt, but left geomum and the geopup on the other side of the ravine
Found at 0836. Set off alone again as Marg sat in the geomobile. A quick walk down into a creek and out again and I was on to the cache. Cache OK and dry.. TFTC.
Now the area has dried out, we decided to give this one another go & found it without any problems. The grass is now mowed & made finding this one easier. Thanks for the cache.
Found the park & site of the former Tygum house but weren't able to get any further due to the incredible muddy bog left behind after the recent rains. After the amount of water in the area, not sure if the cache survived.
had to leave because of strange muggle with dog...came back later for quick find TFTC
Found today whilst caching with Dannza. Enjoyed the walk to this cache. TNLN TFTC
Great area, really enjoyed it.. despite slipping and sliding down the muddy path!!
Thanks Crew 153
Thanks Crew 153
After a little bit of driving around we found the way in ,ther are some beautiful big trees here
As I stepped out of the car I was not particularly sure if we were in the right area at first but proceeded off anyway. Whilst heading in the general direction we found a very friendly dog who come with us for part of the way and then I guess he decided to go on home. We proceed down into a small gully and had to cross a small plank to get to where we needed to be. Did no swaps, signed log. TFTC.
I have a feeling we came at this one from the wrong way. We parked at the end of William St and headed towards GZ. Before long we were joined by a very friendly dog who seemed interested in geocaching too, he came along for part of the way Down into a small gully we went and there was a plank bridge across the muddy bottom. Up the other side and into open ground, I guess this is the park but was not sure if I may have been in someone rather large backyard Found the cache quickly in a very secure hiding spot. Signed the log and replaced then backtracked quickly just in case I was somewhere I was not meant to be. Fun little adventure, cheers Crew 153
Found by Mary & David at 0800. Initially, we were on the wrong side of the river. Much better when we relocated. A nice riverside park. Didn't see the sign, but could imagine why this site was chosen. Our thanks to Crew153.
Had limited time but coordinates seem to put under the high water mark with local flooding will check for it again when drier and yes there was the mud and the dogs, but still a nice location
Rather a good amount of scrub bashing to get to this one - I think we parked in the wrong area and took the "long way". Once I found the cache it was quickly signed and returned then a long trek back through mozzie infected creek bed to the car. Unfortunately this was the last of the caches I had in my GPS for the weekend trip to Brisbane so missed out on a lot of caching opportunities.

The dog's were onto me pretty quickly. Initially I thought there was only one barking away at me then I turned around and there was the second one quietly sneaking up behind me. I think they are getting cleverer with each cacher that comes along - they are learning to work as a team, one barks to attract my attention while the other prepares for the attack.
Only my quick-wittedness and fast reactions prevented the second dog from attacking from behind - OK it was a chihuahua but it could have done a lot of damage if it had latched onto my big toe (really, it was a bigger dog than that)
After my adventure with the dog pack, I bravely fought down my fear and proceeded to the cache site. Found in good condition, but there was a huge spider in the outer plastic bag the size of my hand (OK, the size of my thumbnail - but it seemed bigger, I was still recovering from the dogs ganging up on me). I released the spider into the wilds, then proceeded to check contents and sign the log. I left a Travel Xpress geocoin. TFTC Crew 153

Visited this cache today. Glad we found the cache because we never did see the sign telling the history of the area. Dogs didn't give us any trouble until we were coming back from the cache. We told them to 'go home' and they left us alone. Cache has been very wet. Items inside were smelly, going rusty, and damp. We cleaned it out, removed wet items and logbook and brought home to dry out. Replaced log book with a dry one, put it in a ziplock. Also put items in a ziplock as well as putting the whole cache into another ziplock. Hopefully all that should keep it dry inside. Will mail dried out log book to owner. Took TB and coin. Left car, hair bands and whizzer. Will send TB along quickly.
Mmm, those dogs are a nuisance. A couple of "Get Out"s and they were less enthusiastic about following me though which was handy. [^] I wanderred down the path and across the creek to GZ. This one could be interesting after a little rain... Once at GZ I found the container nice and quickly and openned it to reveal a stash of TBs that have been MIA for up to three years. Three of them in total. I seem to be attracting them at the moment as I found two in the cache near IKEA a couple of months ago...
Anyway, I left one of them to travel elsewhere but grabbed two to take home and give the owners some good news. I left a Masters of Space coin to keep the other TB company. Nice peaceful little spot once the dogs leave you alone.
Cheers Crew 153.

i think i got really close to it but partner was at work and i didn't want to stay too long to turn over piles of leaf litter on my own with barking dogs on the loose nearby. will go back at some point. i'm thinking it must be somewhere near the base of a tree. am i anywhere near the right track?
New to caching. Found with visiting cacher Indiana Jill. Great to find such a lovely spot near home. TFTC
Found in near dark with Smithzonians, new cachers in the area. Thanks for the journey. We approached from side that required a steep descent, muddy crossing and then uphill again. Find went to Elly. Couple of swaps. TFTC

Another historical area cache by the Crew. This is one of the main reasons that I enjoy caching so much - exercise and learning about local history, events or attractions. Well done. TFTC TN left token.
Interesting part of the river, area was on the dampish side after all the recent rain. GPS's wouldn't settle at first and I was beaten by weroamin for this find. TNLN. SL. TFTC.
Accompanied with sevabo. We enjoyed walk along to the cache. No swap. SL. Thanks Crew153 for organising the cache and hunt.
You have just gotta love "routing GPSr's" don't you... Even when we were on the correct side of the adjacent river, our GPSr was telling us to try and attack this cache driving driving all the way round to the other side and then "swim" across to get to the GZ !!
Once we ignored those particular instructions, the GZ and cache were soon located.
The log is still damp inside the cache.
Thanks for the hunt Crew 153

Wow, Have worked around this area for years and never knew this was here. The cache was very wet and the swaps were rusting in the bag. The log was also quite wet.We wiped some excess moisture off.TNLN SL TFTC. Silky Seekers.
Started at the wrong park only a short distance away. All was OK until we came upon the muddy creek. Saw there was another park so retreated and went to the other side. Nice little park and a nice walk. Nice and quiet area so no problem with muggles. Might come back for a fish some time. I think I was lucky with this cache as I found it immediately without even trying - even being hidden so well. TFTC Crew - You certainly mix the caches up (Heaps of diff locations and different hiding spots) which keeps it interesting.
Maybe we came in from the wrong direction but we didn't see any sign with history of the area. Nice area though. Its good to see that they place green space / parks along the river bank so that the public can enjoy.
Cache was easily found.
