It's Day 8 of the GCLOGAN events. We left our camping area to search for some more caches South, before than turning direction to go via Daisy Hill Koala centre North. We found many, but not all which we tackled, but that happens.Tftc Crew 153
Out on a jaunt around the Logan LGA today with hatzofff, visiting some cemeteries and parks. This one was near where we parked at one stage, so took a quick walk toward GZ. Initially the GPS took me to a different tree, but once I widened my search to the other likely beacon, it was a nice quick find. The lawyer vine got me though ... TFTC
This cache has been on my to do list for a long time and I never ever seemed to get it. I stopped off once after rain and it looked like it needed a mow and there was a lot of water about so I got back into my car for a later visit. Today I was out with geo-friends checking out areas for cache placements for the upcoming GCLOGAN Event. It was a quick find for me and I was the only one in the group who needed it. Log signed before replacing as found. TFTC
Dropped a, little miss to point club to watch her friend and I went caching. A pleasant surprise to see this is such an oldie and well-maintained. Of course I walked in the long way and saw a quicker route back to the shorter grass.
Took the KG kids out to do some caching now the 12yo has a caching bag of tricks. Took a while but she deciphered the clues and came up with the goods!
Continuing the cache hunting with ilook4geo and finding some places that we enjoy exploring. There was no problem in locating the container and the log was soon signed with two more names. Thanks for this cache placement go to Crew 153.
Just looking for some caches around this area with goingplaces2 and had a reasonably successful day (except for the ones where roadworks were happening). Both names or initials were put on each log to note our visit. TFTC.
A good spot with a grand tree.
Wasn’t what I was expecting as I approached GZ but the area turned out to be better than expected.

I can't say we enjoyed the search for this one!!
I have an aversion to spikey thorns and usually come away minus a few drops of blood. I was extra cautious today though
We did enjoy the find though and happy to report all is well with cache and tether.
We had a look at the bridge and were surprised by how fast the water under it was flowing.
We then made our morning tea stop across the road near the Cedar Creek Community Hall.
Working on being seven times around our grid by December, so today, I must find at least one cache. After the first DNF, I was even more determined to find one or three.
After circumnavigation of th gz. I decided on an approach, hindered by giant wait a while thorns. Finally found what I was looking for, poked with a stick and woke Dame Edna's little favourite sayings. Hello Possum!
Gently removed the cachel all the time making sure that Possum was not going to jump out. I think he/she was still half asleep. Signed the log gently replaced the cache. And left possum to his/her own devices.
Thanks Crew 153, I used to go to Chardon's Corner pub as a kid! Fave poin for Possum

Today, it was an early start with an airport drop-off, and then a long drive to Binna Burra for a planned hike. We had decided on Dave's Circuit that detoured past Surprise Rock and Molongolee Cave, and [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I completed the approximate 12 km hike in 4.5 hr. We decided to drive home via Mount Tamborine, subsequently taking a wander along Gallery Walk, before finding a few geocaches on our way home.
I've travelled the nearby road a fair bit before today, so I'm not sure why I've never found the time to stop for this Q500 oldie. Perhaps I had concentrated on the farther away from home caches, and by the time I've come here, it has been too late / too tired, so I've made the final dash home. In any case, I was allowed to make a stop, and we travelled across the nicely groomed oval to GZ. As noted, we found a nicely sized cache safely tethered, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. I dropped a TB noting it would be reasonably safe/clear from muggles. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 12/2006 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

The area around the cache has changed so much over the years. The tree was surrounded by mown grass when I placed the original cache q6 years ago. Now the cobbler pegs have taken over.
Replaced the missing cache and tethered this one so it may survive the next flood.

Definitely not there and would have gotten swept away with all the floods. Don’t bother
Actually attended this school in 92-93! Had to visit while travelling from cairns.
Massive spider guarding it today.... Fun find. Thanks heaps. Took a friend for her first time
Caching today with RoddyC snickersallan and GS1947 to find some oldies.
Another target cache for today. First after lunch. We wondered around with GPS not settling then after reading other logs we were cache nine at the first tree with the marks. Now who said it was not here.

Time to start working on some challenges and today was dedicated to finding some older caches prior to attending the Logan catchup event with geo friends hatzofff, RoddyC & grannysmith1947.
Of course we took the longer way instead of going in further down the open section to arrive at GZ. Took us a little longer than usual to locate the cache, not cache blindness, just picked the wrong tree but fortunately hatzofff was on the ball and finally found it, thanks CO.

Found it after a family hike with the kids, when we stopped over the road for the toilets. They enjoyed doing swaps.
Nice cache, thanks.
Nice cache, thanks.
Found back in Jan 2020 with the geocaching daughter, NoonShadow. Just made an account but have found this one!
Lovely place and lots of room. Left a TB for more adventures. Will log tonight. TFTC
Took a much longer route to Jimboomba so I could find a cache or three... this was a quick find in a lovely park... left a couple of Ooshies (only because I think they’ll be popular with the young folk) and some American coin...
Took our client to his first cache find ️ he enjoyed all the goodies here! Thank you for the hide
Awesome day out caching that started at 4 am and finally drew to a close by 6 pm. I am languorous. It was lovely to start the day with an event and catch up with a few familiar faces before launching into the great unknowns.
From here, we wandered along to Westray's grave, and then picked our way along Christmas Creek all the way to Larapinta falls. This has to be one of the more beautiful places I've seen in my life. A couple of trads and multis thrown in for good measure, was the tree climbing "benefits" for a friend, and picked up an oldie.
All up a great day with great company. 14 hours door to door, and I'm ready for a nap and some whiskey .
This was a great cache, and wonderful to see that so much tree replanting and landscaping has been done in the area. I love finding older caches and this was no exception. Great area and good sized cache - all in good condition here.

Sunday. SP had found this cache previously and today we revisited it with OBC as it was a cache that is an oldie and goodie!
We had visited here before, so just stopping in to log some TB visits.

An unplanned afternoon, so I grabbed my todo-list, and headed out to here for the last find of this afternoon's sojourn. A nice little park and river, and a great cache to find too.
Time for a pie.
Thanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location.

Lived in the area for over 15 years. Only just realised that the people we occasionally see walking across the field are looking for this cache. Nice big one and fairly easy to find.

Friday. On my way to Mt Tamborine and wanting to make use of my time on the dark side of town to grab some very old caches. This one fit the bill! Almost a roadside cache (I’d done enough walking today and was now fast running out of time to grab the caches I wanted to get), and I know this CO puts out some great caches. Oh gosh! I just couldn’t spot the cache!! Grrr. Read up some previous logs and lookee here! A blue golf ball. Well, that’s NOT it! I decided to PAF a previous finder but could only leave a message. (I did get a return phone call later and we had a great laugh about my inability to find even the simplest of caches). So I rang the CO himself! Oh wow! Here is the cache, not where my GZ said it was, but right near to where I had been looking (I even climbed in to have a proper look!).
I know I’m in a hurry, but honestly! Less haste and more speed Mrs SP . IF your arrow says you are at GZ and you aren’t making the find, the caches is definitely here, just look a little further afield. I made this one my last cache find for the day today as I was feeling my caching mojo waining [xx(] Very appreciative of finding these older caches today as it was unplanned, but managed to pick up 6 in the end! Only 3 more to go and we then qualify for a certain challenge cache out there. I’m more appreciative of being able to find these older caches though and hope they kick on for ages and ages. I did stop and make time for a dance however (but not at the Hall though).
This was the 9th of 9 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

Awesome local hall! Tried to convince TeamARF we should dance our way across the park in honour of the old hall dances but he declined! Quick find and good to grab an old well maintained cache! Thanks Crew153
Heading home and cherry picked a few caches for a challenge that could be collected. Three in total and this was number one. Thanks for maintaining this cache Crew 153.
Picture cranky trying to crack open a blue golf ball looking for a piece of paper. Lol. Only to find I am at the wrong hint
The biggest cache I’ve seen so far and a good find.
GPS is slightly off but which makes it more fun to find.
Great swimming spot in summer

My first find! (thanks to natashags who beat me to it) GPS not much good so hoping next time is better. Got my L Plates! Thanks to all involved!
The GPS on my phone let me a merry dance down beside the waterway. There was very long grass and I was careful to make a lot of noise to chase away any potential reptiles that might have had thoughts of chomping me on my ankle. As it turns out, my chosen route was a good angle from which to approach the hide. The cache was in plain sight, so after signing the log, I covered it with a fair bit of camo to keep it safe. This is a lovely spot to stop on the way to Brisbane from Tamborine. TFTC
The tree will have to give way to native trees soon.
Sad in a way.
Cache in good condition

The grass was very dewy and my socks were soaked by the time I got to GZ. Not a good start to a day of hiking but oh well. Quick easy find although it was not at head height. Unless I'm really tall. More like chest height.
Thanks for the cache Crew 153. This was find #4109.

Nice park! I think the trees are poisoned as they are camphor (weed) make for cool hiding spots tho TFTF
