It was Day 6 of the GCLOGAN events and we had couple of different areas where we cached today, depending on the plans of the day. I was lucky to get an E scooter from Pauline and Rod for this ride, so I joined the E-Team group. We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc Crew 153
Out with GS1947 and chamadThanks for creating, placing and maintaining for our enjoyment Party time GCARTY0 - 05 October 2025 Sunshine Coast
We were riding with the GCLOGAN E-team Wednesday group passing by this multi. Being an oldie we were pleased to include it on the ride. Another unexpected old cemetery with the city grown around it. Found with 0B80B8, TBU, albida33, Kittykatch, hatzofff and shazzar66. TFTC Crew 153.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 154 - Logan Day 7. GCLOGAN event day 6. Today was the first day of this event week that did not have an early event of activity to attend. I took advantage of this and had a slow, or closer to normal, start of the day. Once the relaxing time was over I joined Kitty Katch and Grimraider for a drive to Redlands to do a few caches in that county. We found some labs and had a nice morning coffee. After lunch back at the caravan park it was time to line up for th second train event. I was on my eScooter along with others and Geono's on bikes. We found the caches suppled for the day and managed some others as well. Kitty Katch and I then filled in the afternoon before the dinner event with a few caches that seemed to be not too far away, but as ever took some time to reach. The sunset event was great, even though it was dark b the time I arrived. Some one else coking is always good, thanks Grimraider. After a long day, it was nice to head back to the van for a wind down and bed.As we rode past this cemetery, there were two sets of numbers to work out, and we were able to include this one in the ride for today. The other one will have to wait for later. Thanks for the cache Crew 15349398.16 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2010 Cache Hard A#174**Albida**
GCLOGAN TripFound with the E-Team while tackling the bije trail caches. A beaut old cemetery. I am travelling with GrimRaider to GCLogan and then to western NSW on our first trip with the van. Thanks for hiding this cache Crew 153
This afternoon we headed out to find some cemetery multis. We walked around and collected the information required for this older cache. Short walk and quick find at GZ. We collected my own trackable from 5 years ago, great to see it again and will move on and see how long it takes to retrieve it again!! TFTC
With the GCLOGAN Decennial event on today, I headed down early to grab a few smileys before it started. After the event I headed out for the afternoon with Grumpy Bump for a few more.We headed to this multi first and caught up with Alisnan.I found your cache, Kingston Resting today. This is my 3332 find.Quick find by GB.Crew 153, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
After this mornings event it was necessary to walk off some of that jam and cream. I followed the hint and quickly located the cache. The log was signed and I dropped a tb that I have had for a little while. I had just returned to my car after replacing the cache when shazzar66 and Michael (GrumpyBumpy?) rocked up on their bikes. We all then headed off the the trail to find the Baby Hunting Rabbit cache series. TFTC
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Crew 153 [^]
Out on a jaunt around the Logan LGA today with hatzofff, visiting some cemeteries and parks. This one was near where we parked at one stage, so took a quick walk toward GZ and made a nice quick find. TFTC
Headed south this morning for a few early morning caches ahead of a geocaching event held on the south side mid morning. After completing a new lab series this morning I made my way to a safe spot to park and quickly found my way to ground zero. The cache was quickly located and removed from its hiding place.Log extracted and my mark made for prosperity. After returning the cache to its hiding place I was off on the next adventure. On my way to a looking major milestone.A big thanks to the cache owner for placing this cache for the enjoyment of others.Cheers
After a walk around the The Sergeant Dan Stiller Memorial Reserve and a stop off for a bite to eat, I headed to this cache. With the required information, I was soon off to GZ. There, the cache was quickly located and my name added to the log. With everything returned as found, I headed home. TFTC
Today i was looking for a multi to do and i love visiting a cemetery. This one was such a nice little one and it is looking a bit old and in need of TLC but i loved it and soon had all the information needed to get to the cache. The hint really helped and i soon uncovered the cache. Thanks Crew 153 for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
After finishing work in the neighbourhood I head to grab this cache. At placement I gather the information to find GZ. The cache was found and then sign.Crew 153 thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
We noticed that we have mist this cache which is in our area, so we headed off to right the wrong..We didn't know that this cemetery
I need to fill in my calendar grid and some days it is just so hard to fit in. So I preplanned this one, checked with CO that my coords were correct and due to the previous dnfs, permission to replace if needed.
Met Chamad at GZ after work and with his muscles at work removing fallen tree branches, the original cache was uncovered. So all is fine here for this oldie to live on.
I didn't know this cemetery was here. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I love what geocaching shows me.

Turns out, I was the brawn for this cache as The Triple Turmoils already had the finals. I went off and worked out where we had to be, and then started removing branches and debris from the area. It was not long before we found our prize. So happy to grab this one and even though we were prepared to replace with owner’s permission it was nice to see the old cache in play.
We signed the log and then replaced it with a little less coverage, lol. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.

Out for the day with nikid1 & I love a multi, especially an old one in an old cemetery. We gathered the required information, did our calculations & headed off to GZ. Unfortunately we couldn't find the cache so will have to return to get a smiley another day.
A love old cemeteries and this one didn’t disappoint. However it was a DNF at our calculated GZ. I guess I’ll have to return.

So lately I’ve been trying to find little mini adventures before I start work in the afternoon. This has involved Geocaching, Trig Points, and the occasional Waymark. I was at a nearby Trig and saw this old multi that starts at a Pioneer Cemetery. I find old cemeteries interesting locations and I also enjoy multi-caches so here I am. The information was gathered [read the info carefully future finders!] and the nearby container found in good condition.
Thanks for the cache and generous hint.

This month our Multi month.
We went out to day to check out the area for the upcoming CITO on Saturday and place a couple of caches. On our trip home we decided to pick up this Multi to add to our list.
We hesitated because of the amount of water on the ground. It as a little smelly so we were hoping the cache was still good.
Although virtually sitting in water all was good in side.

I decided to head over to the Southside again today to grab some more older caches. This decision was made last night. And again this morning. And once more after a sleep in.
So yes, it took a little time to put my plan into action today, as I was still feeling the effects of yesterday’s journey - too much sun, too much speed hiking and not enough water!
I was going slow, so it was no surprise that it was 11:15am before I arrived at my first location, but now I was on a bit of a roll, and it was high time I added some Crew153 caches to the adventure.
Parking the car, I wandered into the cemetery and quickly found the answers I was after. I soon had a set of coordinates and was off.
Now, I’m not going to admit to making the same mistake as everyone else did, that would be careless now, wouldn’t it. However after searching the location suggested in the hint and finding nothing, I had that niggling doubt, and read some logs. Well I may have lost my marbles, but I did find one here, and finally admitted that there just may have been a possibility I did something wrong with my calculations.
So I headed back to the cemetery and, see, my calculations are corr..... ooohhhhhhh!! Doh! Cemetery curses to you. That was so sneaky yet so obvious at the same time!!!
And so it was that I was soon heading to the RIGHT location and making my find. And fighting off a hundred or so tiny black ants that chose to mock my attempts.
Thanks for the cache Crew 153. You got me good here today.

I have been working in the area for the last few weeks and today found myself once again headed to site as Mr Muggle was working on a Saturday and had left his stilts at home. I took advantage of the opportunity to visit this oldie while there was much less traffic on the road. I collected the numbers I needed; happy to be visiting the second Pioneer Cemetery in the area. I love discovering these pieces of history. I headed to what I thought was gz, and like others discovered the beer bottle tree at a spot matching the hint but not much else. After reading a few previous logs I headed back to the first WP and saw my mistake; very tricky indeed! With new numbers I headed to the real gz and made a quick find. I took the TB to continue its journey and returned all as found. Tftc Crew 153, take a FP for this local history lesson
After completing Mayes Cottage it seemed appropriate that I should stop here and give this multi a go... I do like a good cemetery cache and this one doesn’t disappoint...
I did however manage to pick up a rather large hitchhiker that resulted in me hurling my backpack over towards the fence... Hilarious to watch... not so much to experience... I had no issue with the numbers and the gz was tantalisingly close...
Easy find at the gz thanks to the hint... left an ooshie and St. Arnaud’s Cattle Tag to carry on...

Heading to the coast for a couple of days and we decided to stop off at this one as a break in the drive from Toowoomba. Nice straightforward find once at GZ. TFTC Crew 153
Found it with a bit of a bush walk and a few spiders. There was no pen so we left one for the next person
Oh Emily!!! You sneaky girl!! Wondeful old cemetery but the clues sent us on a long bush bash to a spot that actually matched the hint but no cache. Sent a PAF and realised in our haste what we had missed. Found the correct GZ and a very similar hide location! WOW!!!!! Well done ! Fave point!
Would like to brag that I (we) didn't fall for the same trap that previous finders fell for. But that is not what happened.
Took the easy option that actually added on appreciable time and an unwanted long walk. But the company was good and the surrounds generally ok. At the first GZ found something that resembled the hint and unearthed what was the find of the year, a mythical beer bottle tree!! It seems that beer sprouted from this tree before it fell. And I mean all varieties of beer. Shame all the bottles were empty. On reflection a beer bottle tree doesn't really exist (or does it)!! It probably was more likely students from the nearby schools just doing their homework in a natural environment.
After a long fruitless search, a PAF was send on our way out. A distressing message was received, it appears we made the same tactical error as others did. Luckily we were back at the car, so a re-look occurred and the obvious corrected for another walk in the same direction. A nicely tucked away cache and another oldie to add to the tally. Thanks Crew 153 for this 'interesting' multi.

It’s always enjoyable to check out these small older cemeteries scattered throughout. You don’t have to be concerned with a zombie sneaking up on you and even the ghosts have decent manners. Cemeteries like this only have those cute mini-zombies that don’t even reach up to your ankle. You can just step on them and move on.
Even after reading the last couple of logs about mistakes being made we weren’t about to suffer a bad case of FOMO so we did the exact same thing. Fool me once that’s on me, fool me twice that’s on you because it’s impossible for me to be a bigger fool than I am now. The gulley behind the houses is now a lake after the rain and so wet shoes were always on the cards so whose the fool now? ... Wait.
Back we went to the graveyard to step on a few more mini-zombies and to find the folly of our ways. Hindsight is an amazing thing, like wishing I had discovered the enjoyment of wine before discovering the enjoyment of kids. We should have read things more carefully the first time. At least we didn’t have far to go to find the cache.
Back at the car we got to try out our new caching addition which we added for sanitation purposes. We’ve added a hand wash station to the boot because Mrs Woodyrothwell loathes having dirty hands from handling caches and after the rain everything was muddy. My wife looked at me and said “You have some mud on your nose” and I replied “Yeah that’s because I picked it”. tftc

Hi Crew 153 - thank you for your historical cemetery multi-cache. I, too, like P-Prime made an initial (from rushing/hurrying) mistake and had to return to grave & check my answers. But found cache. Now working close by & using local caches to help me to get to know Kingston & surrounds better.
A somewhat hot day, but desperate for a walk, and after a lovely hike around the forest of Mt Cotton I thought to pick some almost Q500 caches in the area ... including here. If there is an iconic 'series; in Australia to rival the Church Micros and Sidetrackeds, "Resting" is it. I love that every country town almost anywhere I go has a "Resting" cache in it (usually Aussie Liahona in my latitudes). And any 'pioneer' cemetery anyone finds scores one as well. Like this one. A worthy addition.
Collected the required info as I checked out the whole site, then set off on the walk. I was reading logs as I went and felt that, maybe, there is something wrong here. But I like the walking. Eventually made it to GZ, and realised that I may have made a mistake. Clearly private property, but maybe some 15m short of my GZ would match the hint? (no). Did have a face-to-face unexpected encounter with a Dragon Lizard before walking back to the cemetery to check things.
Oh oops, rookie mistake. New coords. That's a lot more sensible. And in short order cache was in hand. Nice cache (FP worthy), and well constructed. Cheers.
Thanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location.

I love these small old resting places. This was a nice easy multi with spot on coords. Cache was easily spotable at GZ so I tucked it in and covered with some extra camo to keep it safe. TFTC!
Out today to find some multi caches and this was the first one for the day. Arrived at co-ordinates to gather the answers. Put the new co-ordinates into the GPS and decided to walk to GZ. Arrived at GZ and the cache was in its spot but could be seen by anyone. Signed the log, placed the cache and covered it to ensure its safe keeping. Giving a FP for this cache, due to bringing me to the historical cemetery. I love visiting historical cemeteries!!! TFTC Crew 153

I had no idea the founders of this area were layed to rest here. Great piece of local history.
The Esky family is enroute to the Gold Coast from Toowoomba for a beach day but Mrs E needed a multi find today and this seemed like the best target. I enjoy the history of old cemeteries and this was no exception. A straightforward multi with a quick find. All good here. TFTC Crew 153.
After a second look at the tombstones (lol) I adjusted my coordinates and found the cache right away. Go school holiday cache finding, not a soul around. Loved the cemetery and a favorite point added for bringing me to a this cool cemetery that I didn’t know was 900 m from my work.
Loved the quaint little historical cemetery and found the coordinates easily, it popped the new coordinates in and followed. Hmm, this one made me so nervous, so I decided to try again during school holidays. I really hope I have the right numbers in my GPS.
Was on our way to the Christmas in July event. This cache was our last stop. We got confused about Emily's age but that was because we read it from afar!
TFTC Crew 153. Easy find. We did hear a hoon in the distance.

Thanks for the cache, Crew153.
Two of our group have been locals for decades and they have never seen this historic cemetery before.
After retrieving all the necessary numbers from the gravestones, we entered the new way points and crossed our fingers that we we got it right. At GZ we spread out and soon saw how the hint came into play
With log signed and replaced ready for the next cacher, we say thank you Crew153 for an enjoyable multi.

Neither of us had ever driven down this road before and were completely clueless about this quaint, little cemetery, so it was nice to appreciate a patch of local history. The ages and year were quickly found (even though the headstones are clearly becoming weathered), then it was a short drive to GZ. We ended up taking the longest route around to the cache, as it turns out we could’ve walked directly from our car park in a straight line to this good-sized cache. Collected the 2 TBs left by RidgyPidge, and contributed a bilby.
Once I'd worked out my coordinates for this one I realised that the final was pretty close to a local school! So I figured best to wait and come and grab it on a non-school day. So today was the day
This one was an early morning park and grab on my way home from night shift. I often try to get a cache on my way home, as it saves on petrol (well diesel now I'm in the new 4X4).
A bit wet trekking through the long grass as there had been a bit of rain about last night! My clothes will dry out ok though
I found the cache just as the hint said, although I walked past it at first because the other end looked more promising to me. I soon had to come back to it though!
I've left a couple of TB's for the next visitor to move on.
Took nothing, left two TB's, signed the log book.
Thanks for the cache Crew 153

I am so pleased to have turned this little box into a Smilie. I have been before and unsuccessfully I might add. I enjoyed collecting the info at the quaint little old Cemetery down the road as I do enjoy working on my Family Tree too. Info collected last visit and rechecked today before I hit the trail. The area isn't all that inviting even though it is so close to a private school, some smoking devices like laid about. I wasted no time today as I concentrated on the hint but it still took me longer than it needed to. Signed the log and replaced cache as found. TFTC
Found with my boys, like the little cemetery used to live around here and never spotted it, will be good to look up the names and find out more. Great find, a little bit of a bush bash but found the cache after a few minutes. TFTC
Doing some multi's to get me some points for the Mary treasure thingy. Had a good look at the map before driving towards this one and once I was confident where I was going, off I went. Had my mob with me to help out and headed to the cemetery. Have driven past here a few times before and never even noticed it here. Went in and scribbled down what I needed and then we worked it all out and saved our waypoint and off we went to find the cache. A little bit of Bush bashing but nothing major and it wasn't long before we arrived at GZ. Took us a few minutes but we finally found the cache and added our names to the log book. Returned the cache as we found it for others to come and enjoy. TFTC, a fave for me.
With a milestone coming up I headed South early to try and boost our numbers, targeting a variety of caches between Wacol and Kingston. After previously DNFing here, I was pleased to see the container back in place. Made for an easy find, dropped a TB.

Found quickly due to the good hint whilst in the area with geo friends doing the Baby Hunting series. Enjoyed visiting the Pioneer Cemetery and so pleased it is maintained so well, thanks Crew 153 for the good multi and neat hide
Once the necessary information was gathered and calculated and off to GZ which appears to be near the carpark of a school. After a search around GZ we looked at the hint and very soon had the cache found and log signed. Quickly made our way out before the school bell rings. Thanks Crew153.
I will have to re-think this cache. The cache area has changed so much since I placed it there 11 years ago.
After gathering the required info, I trotted off to GZ. A good 20 mins of searching left me empty handed. If its here I may need to see an optometrist. Lots of evidence of people hanging out here. If I'm ever in the area again I shall return
Quick easy find once the right location was found. Lots of items of clothing around GZ
Love cemetery caches and had been meaning to get this one for ages. Found the cemetery and searched for the necessary numbers to find the cache.
Had what I thought were the numbers but after searching around for 15 mins with no luck decided to PAF who had replaced the cache recently. Found I had the co-ords wrong (NOTE to self: check your numbers twice with the cache description) so a slight adjustment with the GPS and cache was found easily. Thanks RoddyC for the nudge.
Also found a few other interesting items in the area. A smoking implement, clothing and a half eaten loaf of fresh bread. And so close to a Christian College.

Was greeted by a very sad sight @ GZ- the remains of smashed cache container. Luckily I hunted around to see if i could perhaps salvage the log from it but unfortunately not. Did however find a replacement cache all shiny and new. The first name in the new log showed that a little caching angel had visited and waved her magic wand and made it all better. Thank you Teambenders! xxx
I have had my eyes on this one for a while as it's the closest cache to work but have been waiting for the container to be replaced.
Late last week I saw that that had happened and I had a chance to talk to Team Benders about it at an event on the weekend.
With school holidays ending soon and the cache seemingly being almost on school grounds (?) I decided to grab it first thing on Monday morning.
The coordinates were pretty spot on and I had no trouble locating it.

We were at the Logan Geocaching meeting and spoke to Crew153 about this cache and when we saw the logs that the cache had been smashed, we offered to replace the cache which we got from the CO.
We arrived at the first Waypoint as I had not got the information to do this cache and soon had the information required and off to GZ.
Arrived at GZ but failed to find any of the smashed cache but soon had the new one installed.
Signed the log and placed into a good hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Crew 153 All good with this cache

We looked at this cemetery multi some several months ago and had the numbers sitting in the Personal Notes since then. At the time the gates were open, but there was much activity in the area approaching GA so we decided to leave it to another occasion.
At the Logan group's meeting tonight, we opted to team up with Team Benders and have a crack at it. We noted the state of the cache as provided by the previous finder, and as the CO was actually at the meeting tonight, we asked about replacing the cache for him. He supplied us with the necessary cache, and a blank log from Team Zerner, and we were set to go.
We took Team Benders to the Cemetery so she could obtain the number we had, and then walked through by locked gates, up Groves Place and into the thick bush. Being school holidays, there was not a soul about. Soon we arrived at GZ, and it was as the CO described. So we placed the cache on his behalf after signing the log book.
Found at 10.45pm on 14th January 2016. TFTC.

Found the remains of the cache, painted systema container. It's been smashed into multiple pieces. Also found some logbook pages not far off.
Co-ords were way out for me. However, I kind of knew what I was looking for and the area stood out a lot.
Tftc! Love this one.
Tftc! Love this one.
We were about 2m out and then turned around, retraced our steps and saw something that wasn't quite right. Sure enough, there it was
I'm not sure if it wasn't there or if I just wasn't looking hard enough! It was a fun and very educational experience anyhow. I will be checking again in the near future.
Dranyer helped me to solve multi and interesting to read about the history of Mayes. went to that spot and logged. TFTC
I have looked for this cache on a few occasions in the recent past but with no luck. I realise now it was probably because the cache was never there! On reading the recent logs I noticed that the container had been replaced, so I thought it was prime time that I went for another search. With the coordinates still input in my phone from my previous searches I headed off towards the GZ. It was mid-morning so all the kiddies were in class...perfect time to be looking. I wasn't searching for long when I noticed something...finally, the cache!!! It is nice to have this one ticked off my list. SL TNLS TFTC!
Captain Terror and I had finished work for the day and decided to head out and grab this cache since I needed one for the day. There was a possibility that the cache was gone but I had a previous finder with me and the cache owners number in my phone so I felt pretty confident.
We parked the car and had a wander around the cemetery grabbing the required information. A few minutes later we were heading back towards the car and the final coordinates. After searching for 15 minutes and finding nothing but school kids rubbish we called Crew 153. I confirmed the coordinates and where it should be. I offered to replace the container for him and he accepted my offer.
We headed back to the car and grabbed a painted sistema and logbook and walked back to final coordinates. We hid the container and covered it up from the eyes of school kids. Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

This one was a bit tricky. Worked out co-ords online then double checked on headstones and we were on our way to the cache but unfortunately when nearing where we thought we should be our GPS decided it wanted to do a tour of the surrounding bush. We ended up covering quite a lot of scrub before Geo Husband put up the Eureka yell of "Found it!" Best words I had heard today. We do love old cemeteries and the local histories that accompany them. This was a good one and again, a place we would not have known about if we weren't Geo Caching. Thanks Crew 153. TSLS. TFTC.
There is a reason I avoid multi caches.... I am not very good at them... I don't know what it is, but I make even the simplest of caches harder than they need to be... today I got two of my clues mixed up... I took down the husband or wife's details instead of the correct ones... thankfully Wombles met me at this cache and had different results so we went over them again... no prizes for guessing she was right and I was wrong.... nothing new there :/
Off we went to find the cache which was located very quickly (I am better at finding them than solving them)

I'd located some numbers for this one earlier in the week, while I was working out my "grand caching plan", which involved a long walk to an event and a night in a hotel in the city. The grand plan was devised to get the souvenirs I still needed as well as hoping to get to 1000 finds. Sadly that didn't happen but I am a lot closer now!
We met Whint and Gambler at a cache before this one and then we caught up with them again at this one.
We had different numbers but we had another look and double checked some and then we quickly located the cache!
Thanks for the cache, the multi for the souvenirs and bringing this tiny cemetery to attention!

Rolled up here in Sooty this afternoon as this multi has been on my hit list. Loved the little pioneer cemetery and ran around collecting numbers. A quick scribble and it all looked good!
OrionJ rolled up shortly thereafter and explained that he'd done the calculations from a website. Well, um, turns out that his numbers were better than mine. A short stroll to locate the cache
We had plans to meet Nurseyjulie nearby for another multi after her nursey shift.
So on we rolled...
TFTC Crew 153, a neat multi in a surprising location How do you find these spots?
