Down in Dunedin for the Mega this weekend with McJandals and NZFLOSSY. Signed the log sheet MDF Thanks for the cache.
Was down here for the Dunedin Geo Toroa Event from the sunny Bay of Plenty,Tauranga and are with some of Team BoP. Great to get together with our fellow cachers. Signed Logs MDF. (McJandals,Davidson clan & NZ Flossy) and have teamed up with our fellow bop mates for the last couple of days Squirrel Nutcase and Fap and Gap. (Fangs)I am logging using the Cachly App and using their template option which helps with my memory for logging. I genuinely thank every CO for their time and effort put into these caches. Much appreciated. . Trying to catch up with my logging.
M26 walked up to this little spot and found the good sized cache in the obvious hiding spot.Log all good and signed here. TFTC.

Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland ???? Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia ???? and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand ????.On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland ????

We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zealand Tanks
Was a quick find of the reasonable large cache. Took photos as I love memorials and plaques
Day 13 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and our fourth full day in Dunedin and the weather is still challenging our caching aspirations. We spent the morning doing Ad Labs around town picking up the occasional physical cache as the weather allowed and then headed out to Port Chalmers to finish off what we started. Then onto the final event to say goodbye. Thanks for contributing to the fun GSVNoFixedAbode
Day Thirteen of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris. The Mega day today and we spent it around Dunedin. We spent the morning doing some AdLabs around the city, had lunch in the Octagon, then went north to Port Chalmers in the afternoon. Finished off at the Prize Giving event at the Mega.An interesting spot this afternoon. The clouds were low enough to blow through the tall trees here. Quite an eerie effect.A good sized cache at this memorial. Thanks, Robmc.
I took my phone, which was a poor choice under all the trees. I eventually moved around a bit and found the cache. TFTC.
We are four ladies from Sweden on visit in New Zealand. We log as TULP (tigertassen, ursus67, lnganfans and pidjas). Today we visited some oldies and logged solved mysterys. The weather was much better than yesterday. We even saw a glimpse of sun. Like yesterday we found a caf and had coffee with some cake. Not as cosy as the one yesterday. Then back to the event, a bit late due to some (minor?) problem with the car.A big Thank You to CO for the cache.

Good day to visit the playground after all the rain we've had this week. Getting across the road is better at the wee timber bridge as you can hear cars slogging it climbing up the steep corner and the long stretch from Upper junction has good visibility. Took the path up to the memorial plinth and made our way to the GZ. The black bucket was visible in hide but the goods were dry and ok. Swapped some swag and flicked a bit of rubbish dumped in there over the years. 3B1 logbook signed and returned to it's bags. Grabbed the goods in XL glad and scouted around for some larger bits that would disguise the bucket properly. Pulled some nightshade and Tutu plants had taken root in the new plantings. Don't eat the purrty berries. Sat under the macrocarpas watching the morning traffic zip past, they haven't suspected anyone would be up there today more intent on rounding the bend. Crossing the road back to the parking area took wee bit longer. Noice views up here with the city just waking up, thankyou for bringing us up here GSV. *High fav! **21favs** 2nd Favorite Fan! Heart challenge **20pt 43rd** **Trad** **710pt***. TFTC
Thanks GSVNoFixedAbode for bringing me here. It was especially moving today to visit this place and I felt quite emotional. It is so sad to think of all those men from an area such as this losing their lives. I was very moved. Quick find of the cache.
Lovely spot that we wouldn't have known about otherwise TFTC! Took the trackable for upcoming travels...
This was an interesting place, and nice to see it being maintained. A quick and easy find even though our phone didn't want to navigate properly.
I've passed this place 100's of times and not knowing what was here. Lest we forget. TFTC
Interesting place. Stopped as was up here courtesy of the Satnav. Rescued the TB.
What a great, hidden gem of a spot! Parked as suggested, and headed over the bridge. Would never have known this place was here, so peaceful with great outlook, despite the main road being just below. Soon found the cache (nice and dry) and SL. It was raining quite heavily, but I will be back here on a nicer day to read all about each of the soldiers. A fav vote from me. TFTC.
We were there on Saturday admiring the latest developments and reading the new information about each soldier. Cache is at much the same coordinates but the hint plaque has been moved away. It is time to change the hint! So, RSA have tucked cache behind log at edge of plantings.
In Dunedin for the week for work and have been doing some long hours so decided that today I would leave early and hit some caches off the beaten path. Well didn't manage to leave as early as hoped so knew I would only have around an hour before it was dark so planned to have a quick look at each and if I couldn't find it not to waste too much time and move on...I can always come back right?
Found the safe way up here with the little bridge - wow it was super windy up here!! Was not expecting to see this and one of those 'if not for geocaching moments'. Even in the dark I took a few moments to read some of the information. All very interesting and I will definitely come back during the daytime at some point.
Found the name from the hint but no specimen mentioned next to it. Have seen this COs work before and its usually great camo so wonder if I just missed something obvious?

Very nice area to have a geocache! Loved learning about the soldiers and the background of this area
TFTC - had a great morning. The area is looking good with all the work RSA is doing.
Have been passed here lots of times. Found after catching up with someone I used to work with
Stopped to see the tidied up playground. Well done the RSA and the neighbour! The cache is no longer under a bush - it had a niche made for it and was sitting out in the open. All good, with some extra signatures from local children in the book. Added a working pen and some camouflage.
Together with TEMBO! I had a really interesting geocaching-trip today. We could find some geocaches, met some locals and had a great talk to them.
Concerning this geocache I want to say thanks because we had much fun in searching and finding this geocache! The cache made our trip even more interesting!

We just discovered that this was our 1,111th cache find. Considering that the Armistice was signed on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. This makes this pretty special and what a chance discovery. We logged this cache on the 28th July 2019.
Thank you for this cache. It took us back a different way to Dunedin from Port Chalmers and the views were worth it. I can't wait until the trees grow. I wonder when they will thin out some of the older big trees. I was so pleased there were some steps up to the plaque. The birds were singing to us. I think they were Tuis but they could have been bell birds. I could only hear them. It was beautiful.
The hint for this one turned out to be more true that expected, as I found this cache sitting out in the open. Clearly it had fallen out of one hint object and laid to rest next to the other. After signing I moved it into a safer place but there was no way to tell where its usual habitat is.
Found on our return road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find and interesting history.
Merry Christmas and TFTC.
Merry Christmas and TFTC.
Still more hidden creatures to find. Enjoying caching with kiwinutter, luciusmalfoy05, emojiqueen and silver_penny
Easy find with the bushes not providing much cover was hoping from the logs this was a different kind of container for a challenge but not to be. Brought us to a spot we would otherwise have not known. TFTC #131
Easy find. A dog appeared but no muggle. Poignant spot. Echo the thanks to the RSA for an important part of NZ history.
After a short search found the cache with Frame Family. A lovely spot. Have driven past here many times but didn’t know what was here. Tftc
Replaced container with new logbook, swaps. That’s 2 ammo cams nicked recently.
This surprisingly took me ages to find and what I found was an open ended plastic bag held down by a rock. TFTC
The log book is soaked and the whole cache needs a new container (as it is not enclosed)
What a wonderful spot.
Found the contents of the cache but unfortunately not in a container. We did not have with us so we wrapped things up as best we could and secured with a rock.

Heading north out of Dunedin this afternoon and I decided to take the old scenic route via Mt Cargill. This interesting and somewhat poignant spot was on the way. A quick find here - signed log, TFTC
Today we were heading up Mt Cargill to the Organ Pipes so we stopped here on our way. TFTC
Number 4 of 34 found around the area today whilst on a day trip caching off the beautiful Golden Princess and number 4 of 76 found in our 6 days caching around NZ.
We parked near GZ and were contemplating the best way up the hill when a voice said come up and get some photos from here. (Luckily JMorg had her camera round her neck).
so this friendly muggle pointed us in the direction of the steps which looked better than the slope i was checking out! Once there we got a history lesson about the area - fascinating that this little place exists. And this is what i love about caching - finding spots you would otherwise drive right by! After a short chat we went to get photos - and then when the muggle had collected his dog and headed back home we made short work of finding the cache.
Thanks for the cache. A fav point for bringing us here.
G'day from Australia!
