Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Spent 45 minutes looking for this one, came out of the rainforest covered in mud and scratches but without a find
Found out in the open, replaced behind a couple of sticks. There are some likely spots on the left of the track but a few m in might see you right, if you are going clockwise from the fig. Left a fresh log sheet and bag. TFTC kaweir
Found it! Really nice walk! Although the logbook is quite wet again. Couldn't sign it ...
Beautiful rain forest. Took me a while to find it. Last found over 6 months ago. But book still okay. Thanks for the cache.
After visiting Wallaman Falls we continued on to Broadwater in the hope of logging this cache which hasn't been found for a few months. Unfortunately despite searching for quite a while we were unable to come up wth the goods
The path is in excellent condition and a very pleasant walk through the rainforest.
Several muggle families camped nearby and enjoying the facilities and swimming holes.
Many thanks for showing us ths area kaweir[^]

This was our first visit to the area, we’ll be back. A fantastic camping area with a fresh water creek for swimming and facilities, what more could you ask for. GPS signal not great so took a little finding, unfortunately cache and log wet beyond resurrection. Replaced log book and dried other contents. I suspect forest animals are taking an interest in this cache so it may be necessary to look around just in case it has been moved. TFTC.
Found just of new track , was very wet did not get to read previous log so did not take anything to replace ,but as I visit the area a few times per year I will take notebook & pen etc with me next time I go
[green]Hot! Damn Hot![/green]
A scorcher of a day and we decided to head north to check out this cache and hopefully escape the heat. Arriving at the parking co-ords we discovered that, if anything, the temperature had headed northwards. This didn't stop us from breaking out the picnic lunch and enjoying the shade for awhile.
After lunch the search for the cache began, the cache description is not longer accurate as it appears there has been significant upgrades to the park since Cyclone Yasi and all that is needed now is to follow the well prepared path. The coords are pretty good too with our GPSr leading us straight to the hide.
After the 1.7km walk a dip in the river was definitely on the cards, even with the togs still at home!
The log book is wet and needs some TLC, we've added a loose sheet of paper in the interim, but the next finder might want to bring a replacement with them.

Wow what a mission. Left the family at home and grabbed a mate for this one. Followed the directions as best we could. We both got torn up by wait-a-while and both got hit be big stinging tree (I'll be feeling that for the next few months). Very little GPS reception and spent a lot of time crawling but we got it. Everything in cache was wet and a white tail bush rat had got its teeth into a few places.
Good news is that there is a much easier way to get there, don't worry about the directions, but I would suggest long shirt, long pants and a hat.
Thanks for the challenge, it was great to find it!!

As per Corikra's DNF the track to the cache is overgrown with a lot of spiky plants. This cache is not suitable and it needs to be archived to avoid other cachers getting cuts etc to get to GZ.
Needs maintenance urgently, or archiving.
Would definitely NOT attempt this with kids!

Two of us (I was visiting together with Cat from Cat&Bear) searched for this cache for almost an hour, without success. The track referred to in the listing is wether signposted not maintained and you pretty much have to make your way through the bush (lots of whait -a-whiles and similar thorny plants make it a rather slow process), where you think the track goes along. We did find, what we thought was the mentioned clearing, but the 'curtain'? or the 'father and son'? The coordinates kept jumping around and we searched the whole area as best as we cound - without success. Pretty disappointing after coming all the way from Townsville.
Broadwater NP is a pretty spot for a daytrip or a camping weekend. And there are many more suitable places to hide a cache than in the middle of the bush, off a track that has obviously been left to overgrow again.
I suggest that the owner move the cache or at least go and check on it to confirm it is still where it is supposed to be.

TFTC Hard to find due to Yasi damage. Needs maintainance. But wait til c
Track cleaned. But there is another way to cach less painful.

#12 this should be withdrawn. Track is a nightmare. Over 1 hour on track which is actually closed for good reason. Cache needs urgent maintenance. Tried to dry contents. Ended up at hospital after getting tangled in Gympie bush
Rated: for Overall Experience
We were close to the cache - as the crow flies. However it was thick bush in between. Hence we could not find the right approach we gave up.

Our first ever cache, found with a friend. The pen did not work. I think we are addicted to this!!!
Found this fairly easily with the 2 youngest if the crew. The old yellow Etrex would have struggled under this level of trees, but the newer HCX Vista had no issues at all under the trees.
The cache is very wet (someone had left it resting upside down so water drained in slowly. Much of the contents is rusty or badly damaged. We took nothing but left a keyring.
Thanks for the walk.

Love rainforests and the stuff inside them. The highlighted fig is amazing but I saw 1 around the same size covered in strangler vines along the track.
The most astounding thing was that the co-ords listed and mine were about 1 metre different. Incredible in there!!!!!

200th cache. 24th in Oz.
Yay, 200 up. Great cache in a great campsite.
Got up before breakfast and went hunting. Took a bit of finding and a few false leads but eventually I had it in my hands.

Finding this one wasen't the hard part. Put coordinates into GPS for car park - ended up in a farmers paddock somewhere....... After finally getting to camp area it was a nice walk to find cache. Something with very sharp teeth have tried to "break in" to the container and contents is a bit damp. TNLN. TFTC.
A great walk with pleanty of muggles from a local school in the area.
Took a yellow ball and left a frog.
Thanks.

Good excuse to go camping - great camping spot.
Problems with GPS finding signal due to trees. Eventually found the cache. Watch out for nearby wait-a-whiles.
Contents and log book damp. Placed log book in a second clip seal bag.
Took Australian Flag
Left one cent coin

This is the Kisseys (Melinda and Andrew's) first cache. I really enjoyed searching the area, and felt great when I found it. We had been to the park before and would have walked straight past it. I really enjoyed it and I hope this is the first of many...
Took: Geocaching.com compass thingy..
Left: Christmas Bauble...
Contrary to other comments, I found the pad dry (I guess it must have been replaced).

What a great place, hard to imagine it could be there surrounded by canefields. A few people camping in the nearby grounds and some muggles enjoying the loop. Placed a new log book in cache, but swaps are very damp.

Found whilst passing through area. Log book is wet and we were unable to sign log. Dropped off a TB that I have had for a while. Took geocoin.
What a fantastic place - a beautiful rainforest and river, with a great spots for swimming, walking and camping. We managed to do all three. The geocache was easy to find but unfortunately the contents including the logbook were saturated. TNLN. SL. T4TC.
the gps was no use in here so we used logic and guess work. great place for a morning walk.
took: clip thingy
left: glue stick, frog and ear plugs
thanks
p.s. the clearing seems to have grown over, never found it.

A beautiful area on a beautiful day. We enjoyed the rainforest walk and found the cache as the coords were spot on and the gps kept working. Took gps badge for Bruces hat and left carabiner tool. We then went on to have lunch at the day use area and checked out the crystal clear water holes and creek. Thanks kaweir
HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!!!
This was a beautiful spot, left Liz to read the map and we ended up only 800 meters away (on the wrong side of the river ) That little hiccup sorted out, we headed off to enjoy the site. Amazed at how nice it was. Slight rain and overcast day, drove around the camp sites and chatted to a few of the campers.
Clues were spot on, only took a short time to find (lucky as mozzies were well awake)
Will definately be back to explore the area further if I can get time off work
Took Geocoin
Left Aussie pencils, our coin, poker chip and scout patch

We have never been to the Broadwater National Park before and we were very impressed. There were a number of muggles camping and some swimming but we had the track to ourselves. After following the clues we didn't really need the GPS. Burdair jnr picked up the geocaching badge to add to his collection but I didn't have any of my geocaching goodies with me so we had to dig out the wallet and drag out a gold coin. We also did a geocoin swap TNF's Geocoin out and It's your turn in. Thanks for the cache we might have to return to the location for a camp.
What a great spot, got up here about 11. Took of into forest in searh of the cache straight away. We followed the clues all the way and turned the gps on once we thought we got close but it said different 30m this way 40m that way. We were about to give up when the gps said 5m took a good look around where it was pointing and there it was. Didn't need to leave the path took a nice dip in the river with the kids.
