Sorry cachers Harry is no more and I will not be able to replace him for some time will have to disable him for now.
Found the remains of the cache . A fire has been throught the area and destroyed it. All that remains is the end of the PVC tube and the molten contents including the lead pencil stem. Will post a photo and a maintenance request to remove listing or replace this cache...

Had intended canoeing here but after a 5 degree morning and a stiff breeze discretion decreed we drive to Harry's and canoe across. A quick find. The cache is in good nick.

On a canoe expedition with some of the Withcott Venturer Scouts and decided to grab this cache whilst overnighting at Harry's.
Love this area but a bit wet this time.
Don't know how far the water rose in the floods but the ranger said they were using their boat on the roads through the camping areas on the other side of the river so there must have been a lot of water! Hope the new site of this cache will be safe if that happens again.
Thanks for the cache, glad there are more here.

It looks like the cache has gone off on its own. Will have to Archive this cache untill I can get back there. Unless someone else wants to replace the cache in the same place but a bit higher, that would be fine, just let me know. Thank you cachers
I had a lovely relaxing day out Harry's way today
On a perfect spring day it was great to be messing about in boats
As I messed, I couldn't help but notice the tell tale bits of debris left high up in riverside trees. A sure sign that this river had recently been in flood [:o]
As I arrived at the other side of Harry, the same tell tale signs also were apparent. The ripple marks on the sand at GZ also told a tale of a torrent coursing through
Something tells me that this cache is going to turn up on a beach in the Whitsundays in a few months

Easy one to find. Really nice up this river. Plan to place another cache up-stream of here.

What a great place for a cache! Found it no problem. Left a Giant Grasshopper, took green pegman. Thanks!
In a rush to get back before the weather got to bad. We stopped in quickly for this one after a stop at the Hut across the way. TFTC
A short tinnie ride from Tom Dick saw the cache in hand quickly. I wish we had time to explore the tracks in the area but the weather was beginning to close in and we are a long way from the boat ramp. TFTC.
This was the last cache for the day for THENANKS. Dadda NANKS stayed in the boat and the youngest of the team, TOM (6 yr old) took the GPS and led the way. He soon had the cache in hand. [^]
OUT: geo patch and earphones
IN : medicine cup, white out and a roll of sticky tape.
Luckily the elder brother (9yr old Isaac) carried the GPS back to the boat because Tom slipped into the river when running back! The water was pretty cool at sunset in winter too!
Thanks to Mick and Kaz for the cache.

Decided to take the inland route home from the QLD Geocachers 4WD New Year Beach Bash and pick up a few caches along the way. After a nice swim across the river from Harry's we had the cache in hand (as well as a few ants crawling all over the cache). Thanks mick & Kaz for bringing us here.
My favourite smoko location, while paddling to the upper river campsites, just happens to be close to this cache ! Took bandage, left water proof matches. TFTC.
Wouldn't you know it. Just got back an hour ago from Harrys and what do I find, a reason to go back.
Thanks for putting another cache in the area. I think it deserves a few more and plan to rectify that next trip.
