too many DNF's to keep this cache going. No time for maintenance. Hopefully someone else will place one in this area

07-Jul-10
Not found in over a year & several DNFs. It looks very much like this cache is gone. Owner action would be appreciated.

Please check the cache, lots of DNF's

couldn't find this one today
loads of litter at this site, if council cleans up now & then they may well have cleaned up the cache too

26-Aug-09
Could not find. I was there for quite some time looking. Was night time and muggle free.

09-Jul-09
Had a lot of trouble with mugglers. Also bush turkeys were very inquisitive. Windy day. Had a quick look but to no avail. Maybe next time, and after maintenance previously mentioned in logs is carried out.

Had a look everywhere the GPS was pointing to but could not locate it.

02-Jun-09
Cache was completely exposed. Not knowing where it was supposed to be, I applied a minimal covering. TFTC fat_chook.

26-Apr-09
Found after waiting-out a muggle on a picnic bench nearby. While I was writing in the logbook, an infamous wild turkey decided to investigate why I was in his territory. Cool spot. TNLN TFTC

17-Apr-09
Logbook a little soggy..not too many brush turkeys at night TFTC

19-Mar-09
Yup, lots of scrub turkeys around!
Avoided the poop and found the cache in pouring rain.
The inside was pretty moist as is - it could use some maintainance in form of drying...

Thanks for bringing us out to this location -some awesome kite surfing displays while we were there. Yes was busy with muggles, but found cache discretely. Unfortunately while back was turned for a short time, we had a case of "I thought you had it. No, I thought you had it", and our GPS unit was stolen from the park bench we had been sitting on. So hence this was our last cache found while holidaying in australia.

11-Feb-09
Beautiful spot and great place to stash the cache! Only downside was the constant muggle presence, even on a weekday. More muggles than Turkeys. Had to give up after a quick search, but will return again for a better look! TFTC

31-Jan-09
Found it but the cache was very damp and wet because the lid is not properly tight up.Thank you for the organising the cache and hunt.

Sad Took a quick run at this before having to pick up framily from the beach - thought I had the location sorted but a picnicing group made a search impossible..
Great location though - will try again next time I'm in the area...

Thanks to fat_chook for the hide....

Found this one OK, plenty of turkeys about, cache is wet and the log book the same. Managed to scribble in the log, just! TFTC

29-Nov-08
Fourth and final find for the day with Wilga. As others have said, the cache container and log needs replacing, but it won't hinder any future finders from finding and logging the cache.

TNLN, TFTC.

A relatively easy muggle free find on an overcast Saturday afternoon with nathanr.au and geobaby - I think the weather had scared all the muggles away!!!

Found this morning, a pleasant walk from the end of Hastings St. The cache is very wet inside and the log book is probably beyond salvage. The container has broken and leaked. Replaced upside down as previous finder, to try and prevent water entry. Thanks for the cache. Andrew and Maryan.

Found by Mr & Mrs 1SR at 0710 on our Nossa holiday. An easy find at this time of day with the odd muggle jogger.

Oh and the cache was a bit damp inside!!!

15-Oct-08
Our sons went to a surfing class and we took a nice walk along the beach. At the cache area there where a lot of turkeys and they still didn't shut their mouth! The muggles where gone, they seemed to be afraid for the rain. Also the cache suffers from the rain, the lid is broken so its contents was wet. We tried to dry it and replaced the cache bottom up.

Another great find in the rain and sun. left keyring took dream stone. TFTC as everyone says we waited an hour and played on the beach before we could get to it.

14-Oct-08
It was a lot easier to locate the cache this time even with a muggle sitting reading a paper close by. These caches are always easier when you cache in a group.

Emptied a lot of water out of the cache but didn't have time to dry things out. TNLN.

Enjoyed watching the activities on the water.

Oh! and the muggle packed up and left at the same time as us.

Busy little spot! As mentioned in the blurb, we had to wait.

At the end of our mini-vacation, an easy find. Rainy day to start the jazz fest. Sorry we'll miss it. TN L-TB. TFTC!

Found while enjoying the walk through the bush up here. Eventhough it was a weekend there were not a lot of muggles about. Those that were, were too interested in the kyte surfers plying across the mouth of the river. Great area TNLN TFTC Diesel48

Wanted to find this cache as #500 during our last visit to Noosa, but due to too much muggle activity it was never attempted Sad. Found it on a gloomy rainy day as #785 a few months later. This location is not nearly as charming in the rain that the sunshine [B)]

This is a tricky one to find given all the traffic just metres away - I'm not sure what the people sitting near by thought I was doing crouched in the bushes but i'm sure they thought I was up to no good Smile. They eventually moved along though, TFTC.

No one to disturb my hunting but couldn't find it.

Seeing there has not been a find on this cache over the holiday season I wonder if there has been a few DNF that have not been logged. The area around GZ has been trodden quite a bit. A check by the owner may be in order.

27-Nov-07
I was having a good day doing the muggle juggle. Once again I found myself sitting there for 30 minutes for the muggles to settle down. Four young muggles decided to sit at the table beside me for 15 minutes then it was just normal traffic. As I had walked out there I was determined to wait and get the cache. [^]

At last they left and it was clear! I grabbed the cache and went back and sat down to complete the log at 1040hrs and was joined by another old couple of muggles. 15 minutes later I managed to get the cache back to its hiding place and head back to the car. Smile

It was a lovley day out there so I enjoyed the views.

Had attempted to find this earlier in the week, but it was late afternoon and the muggles were there in force, as where the roosting turkeys -too dangerous to fossick. Came back early morning on my last day at Noosa and had no trouble locating. Container is not sealing well, and I emptied out about 1cm of water. Logbook is dry. TN,

The cache itself was not difficult to find, but the attention of the muggles was not easy to avoid.

Found with 'bacabro' without problems. Lots of turkeys around at the time. TNLNSL. Thanks Fat chook for the cache.

8:00am - Find Number 4 of my morning walk. I walked over from Morgans choice - looks like the wild weather earlier in the year has played havoc with some of the concrete paths near the waters edge - some sections have gone!

This is a great area which I enjoy visiting - managed to extract cache between passing muggles.

Thanks Fat Chook

05-Nov-07
After a very pleasant walk down the beach with Mrs Bent we came across this cache. No sign of turkeys at GZ but plenty around the rest of Noosa Sound. The tide was pretty low and the river was running out rapidly.

Thanks for getting us to this spot fat chook. TNLN.

26-Oct-07
#4 on a Friday on foot day of caching - found at 9.30 am. Not easy with the amount of traffic here. Also a good place for a bit of cache in - trash out if anybody is coming by car - the place was littered with rubbish. Amazing that people can do this especially in such a beautiful spot. We were here again later in the evening and watched 14 turkeys parade by so the cache was aptly named. TFTC. No swaps made.

Found this one easily, lucky not many people around. What a great spot.

Waddled up to check the cache container this morning. Container and lid both intact so not sure what previous cacher meant? Perhaps got it mixed up with another one?

Lid is damaged. Cache will be wet very soon if container not replaced!

Last of the four caches and a nice easy find before heading off to the heads for some more serious walking. Cheers Gav [1253]

05-Jul-07
New rental car parked nearby, replacing my smashed up little baby, we embarked on an afternoon of caching with this one, and I thought it was a lovely scenic spot – with not a turkey in sight. I kept my mouth shut in case, though. Very few passing muggles, though lots concentrating on their fishing. Lucky for us! TFTC. =’.’=.

05-Jul-07
GPSr took us straight to this one although I'm sure one walker wondered why we'd leave a perfectly good path to head into the bush. TFTC

03-Jun-07
Too many muggles around this morning to have a good look for this one. It's such a lovely area we'll happily come back for another look next time we're up this way.

Thanks for the hunt so far.

01-Jun-07
Short on time and too much muggle activity, this one could be anywhere ! Better luck next time.

#23 of 27 finds on the Sunshine Coast in company with The Garner Family and HawMorFords. We found this one at 1335. It started to rain just as we found the cache, so it was a case of a quick log and a mad dash back to the car. I made no exchange. Thanks to fat_chook for the cache. Cheers, dak.

HMF's fifty-eighth find of a weekend's caching on the Sunshine Coast in the company of The Garner Family (Mr) and dak's Emu Mob.

People everywhere when we pulled up but thankfully none around GZ. We were under pressure here as the skies were about to open up... thankfully, we managed to grab it in reasonably quick time.

Thanks to fat_chook for the cache. #1881

27-May-07
Find #23 of 27 for the day in the company of dak's Emu Mob and HawMorFords - found at 13:42.

There was a million places that this cache could have been hidden and only 3 of us to search them all. While searching, the skies opened up and the rain came forth, fortunately it didn't take long after that happened for us to find the cache and so we quickly signed the book and raced back to the car. TFTC.

04-May-07
I almost gave up on this one, with the hordes of muggles wandering around, swimming, parasailing etc. Looked all over the place before finding the hiding spot. I was expecting a smaller cache. TNLN. Thanks

30-Apr-07
We were unable to find this one the other day as there were too many muggles at the tables however we had it to ourselves today. Once the cache was located quickly we stopped for lunch and just gazed at the great view just soaking it all up. We love caches with a beach view!

Thanks for bringing us here.

23-Apr-07
Sorry Stickler [8)]

Its possible we had the cache in the car when you where looking for it [8)] As we found it, 2 muggles came and sat down at the table [xx(] ...it was decided we would return it when they went, so headed off to the other caches in the area.... we returned about an hour later, the muggles had gone, so we returned the cache....to us it seemed the only option to sage gaurd the location.

Only turkey around here today was me. Busy little place isn't it?

17-Feb-07
Well the muggles make this one a lot of fun. I was about to give up, when lady luck showed up. Toppless girl on jetski = no muggles looking at me. Heck I almost forgot what I was there for.

11-Feb-07
Well isn't this a popular place on the weekend. Far too many muggles about to enable a safe search so we will have to come back another time.

08-Feb-07
Yep, there are turkeys everywhere. The baby turkey was almost cute Smile
A couple of tourists trying to get their photo seemed more afraid of the turkeys than the turkeys were of the tourists Big Grin
But even these amusing diversions were not quite enough to distract the muggles sitting near the cache [:o]
With a never ending stream of muggles it was time to implement operation CITO. It never fails in situations like this. Poke around in likely areas for a while and start a collection of old drink containers on the picnic table nearby. When you find the cache add it to the pile. Then take the whole lot over to the nearby rubbish bin and ceremoniously dump them in (except for the cache of course) Big Grin
Take a break and fill in the log book and make swaps Smile
Then repeat the whole charade over again to return the cache. GZ is a bit cleaner now and no one noticed what had really happened. The locals will always ensure there is a plentiful supply of cans and bottles to collect Sad
TFTC and the great views of the Noosa mouth [^] Shhhh!!!

Yes a FTF for me don't get the chance to often. as always it is one of my favorite parts of Noosa when I was checking on my cache in Noosa at the weekend I thought I should get organised and hide one in this area but I would rather look for someone else's cache.
Not to many muggles around today being mid week and the doldrums that hit the Noosa area just before Christmas. Thanks for the cache fatchook.
