Logs
There has been no cache to find since at least 28 February, so perhaps it's time to bite the bullet on this one and archive it.
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
There is always the option of holding an event to see if anyone can find where its disapeared to.
could be worse, at least it isnt ho ho ho, that might be a different story going inside to find that one

The poles are now a different colour. I've checked and it's gone. It may be INSIDE if anyone wants to try that.
This should have been number thirty-nine on our "Big Adelaide Assault" in company with dak's Emu Mob and HawMorFords. I would not usually frequent this type of place, but I would visit the Salvation Army just next door. How Ironic. We looked and even swung on a pole or two but found nothing. Thanks any way.
This was to be the fortieth cache on "The Big Adelaide Assault" in company with acts2youthgroup and HawMorFords. Unfortunately, we couldn't find it. We checked with some local cachers the next day, and they confirmed that we definitely looked in the right place. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Pole Dancer was #40 on the list for the "Big Day Out" in Adelaide in company with dak's Emu Mob and acts2youthgroup.
An interesting cache in an interesting part of Adelaide.... we approached GZ in the wee small hours and, as a result of having the place to ourselves, we were hopeful of a quick find .
Again, we lucked out but I have to say, I can't think of a spot we didn't look.... apart perhaps, from the one where the cache is located.
Perhaps it's gone....we'll keep an eye on this one and see.

Found by Mary & David at 2050. Did a recce this morning, but a couple of guys painting the front of the establishment made searching impossible. All quiet on our return this evening, so we enjoyed a fairly quick find. TNLN. Our thanks to JackHenry.
Dylanja and I tried not to look sleazy getting this one, and Dylanja failed miserably, though not as badly as the guy sitting on the steps outside peeking in...
Well that was easy! Just had to keep moving to find a quiet place to stop and sign, as a customer was arriving. TFTC
Luckily it was all quiet on the street today and I scored it quickly. My tenth for the day. Thanks JackHenry.
GZ had us on the correct side of the road (as it turned out) but couldn’t find it. After we read Zytheran’s log we thought that it was on the other side. Found nothing there either.
The name of the cache was ‘Pole Dancer’. It was apparently on a bloody pole. There are a finite number of poles in the area. All of them were checked – twice. None of them were hiding a cache. In desperation I called the Barramundi help line and he gave me the good oil. Turned out that Zytheran’s log was a huge red herring (I should have learnt by now ) and other people’s definitions of what constitutes as a pole obviously differ from mine.
Wouldn’t like to try getting this one when the establishment is open . Thanks Jack Henry.

Well after missing it last time, I tried again, this time on a Friday night 11.40 PM. Under the disguise of a Chauffeur, I hung around the poles, swinging from each one of them, then spotted the right one.
Approached it with the excuse if I got caught,
"I'm here to pick up Jack Henry, is there a Jack Henry in the house?"
Hehe, logged and replaced, without getting caught.
Cheers from Barra 2

Tricky find as I wasn't looking too closely at other peoples poles. Took about 3 attempts. I'd suggest leaving a hint with the girls across the road for those who are stuck.
Shortly after the sun sank below the horizon Stealth Ninja Penguin slipped into the new and embracing night. The synergy was complete and now caching could take place.
Anyway, found the cache ok. I wonder if these battle beauties ever get war-saw.

Well, this was an interesting place to bring up my 600th find.
Had to go into town at lunch time to find a travel bag, since im now flying rather than driving for work.

Since all the parking spaces closer to the mall are only 15 or 60 minutes, it was a good excuse to park near a cache that has 2 hours allowed.
This cache is hard enough, given the number of poles in the area, let alone without having your GPS on you. Now that i look back on it, i search every pole within a 100m radious of said premises. After a call to the hurtle help line,he gave a rough clue which narrowed it down to 6 poles. after a few minutes searching them, i spotted a new pole, that i hadnt noticed. bingo
got the log signed, and back in its spot, before heading back to work.

2nd of 19 FFTD, 2nd of 3 JH's. Decided that a day out, NOT relaxing was in order, probably one of the last before the newest geokid is born . Again Mrs Ermi came up trumps with this one, not the pole I was thinking of looking at . TNLNSL. TFTC
Was just about to give up on this one, felt like we were being watched from inside, and aha there it was. We want to know JackHenry when there will be a cache placed at the well known establishment in Hindley St to keep up the theme? TFTC
This was the second visit to this cache but we couldn't even leave the car as there was a male sitting in his car right outside GZ. Arrived tonight and were able to search and find the tricky hide.
Thanks again Jack Henry for another cache,

Must admit, have been to a few 'shows' here! Got lucky, found on the 1st pole looked at! TNLNSL

Had a quick look after dark, but it seems to be the time of night this establishment is open for business. None of the poles seemed to spring up this time so we left with nothing in hand as it was getting a bit late.
In between passing muggles lots of poles were checked, eventually one sprang up where it had not been before, and it had the cache.....

Out today with Albida33. It felt like we'd danced around every pole in the street and we were going to be found checkmated and then found one we'd missed.

OOPS.... missed logging this one when I tried to do a catch up a few years ago. Found while a member of Beakers Bunch.
Thanks
Thanks
Me and the Beaker Clan were there and came up with the good.
Our initial GZ indicated some interesting poles that we searched for some time however after a change of location by about 10 metres I found the little beastie quite easily.
My GPS was showing 55.527 which may help or hinder other people.

Quickly located after searching all nearby poles... on both sides of the road. What a great spot for a cache. Can someone make a crazy horse one now???

Looks like even dancers get the day off. Didn't find cache but did find a screwdriver.
We were all over this one in no time. An ex "you'll go postal" container or just a clone. no swaps today TFTC
I tried to have a look close to midnight, but to no avail, the sign out the front said "Couples Night". Well, I was by myself, so I cleared off to chase it another day.

Urban micros and early mornings just seem made for each other
Cache quickly spotted and no problems with the log either. Must be my lucky day

How did I not see that yesterday.
Spotted within seconds. However, I could not get the log book out. There I was, standing outside the establishment (and still clad in lycra) madly shaking my wrist up and down...
Oh no, this can't look good.
I never did get the log book out. I slipped a Wibble sticker in instead

Come to think of it, I had trouble getting the log book out too. Like Wibble, I was madly shaking my wrist up and down. The damn thing is hard to get out. I proceeded to the privacy my car to finish the manoeuvre with success.
Clear skies, Astro.
Hanging about the front of this place in lycra at 7:15am was just a bit too weird for my liking. Looked hard, but not hard enough, apparently
Found with the new co-ords fairly easily, thought we may have been ftf but there was another name b4us that we couldn't make out, not to sure if this could be the North Pole or the South Pole, I do know that we didn't have to get down and dirty though!!!!
Thanks Jack Henry

Using the new coordinates I looked behind every pole in sight, but I couldn't see anything. Things that make you go hmmmm.
Its true, we found the last virgin on Pirie Street. No blood donation required. Cache found at 10.30am. 12 hours after the last visit.
Was lucky to get a blurred photo. If you blur your eyes, you can make out the poles. You get in trouble if you flash, so I had to hand hold. Keeping the camera steady in low light is always a hard job.
Not sure where I came in the Que. Freddy boy was lucky to be first.[^]
My thanks to The Scientist. Glad I left my telescope home though .
Clear skies, TeamAstro.
Can't believe I missed that. Mate, I swear I checked there the first time. Perhaps I was distracted by something else. Thanks to the Native Indian helpline for the hint.

Saw this one 4 minutes and 20 sceconds after it had come live. As I had other activities in town I decided to give it a try and get the first find.
Found plenty of good hiding spots but no virgins . We will return tomorrow.
