We went back today for the seventh time, this time with a tip from a previous finder.
Found what we think is a very unique cache container with no log or anything else. It was just lying on the ground.
I have sent a picture, and will claim this as a find if it is confirmed as the cache.

Spent half an hour searching and couldn't find the cache. Checked all the trees also.(:()
Look around every tree in the vicinity but couldnt find this cache. We are pretty new to geocaching but have found a few prior to this one. Maybe it has been disturbed as the last person couldnt find it either.
First townsville cache found. Went to log this one today and it's missing? Perhaps incorrect replacement ...
Fortunately it was the sheriffs day off, so that Sprudel and I could search for quite a while... and found the cache just as we wanted to leave.
Can't believe I missed it the first time, found in seconds!! Original log soggy, emergency log ok.
Took a little to find this one as the listed coords were quite a bit out. Cheers Gav [9036]
Nice easy find by torch light. Cant belive there are people that ride bikes at this hour of the night with no lights. Scared the daylights out of me. TFTC
Found a new geocacher searching for his first cache, but disappointed not to find cache. Used co-ords from log. Will try again sometime but incline a bit steep and slippery under tree, if I had the right tree.??
Found it in the open, but intact. Log was soaked so we placed some paper in a bag till a new log is brought in. Replaced in a likely spot. Left a scout tattoo. TFTC
Found it after a bit oflooking around them we took the sweetpea of to another destination
Found after reading some older logs and with the help of the clue (didn't see the log with updated co-ords as the GPSr only stores the last 6) Our trusty garmin was telling us GZ was 21 meters due east from posted co-ords. Lovely spot to cool down in this heat & humidity. Thanks Pete & Liz
In Townsville again for a flying visit so thought I'd nab the nearest unfound (apart from Choo Chooo! my nemesis!) Found myself in an unlikely cache spot so I read the clue. That put me well away from the coords but in a more cache-like spot. Had a good look up and down for a while, a lot of walking, running, cycling muggles here at 630am. Had given up and started walking away when I read some older logs. Many commented on the coords being duds but no one seemed to post better ones. Then I saw the log by pprass. Put those into the GPSr and found myself back in the right area with a lot more confidence and found it within a couple of minutes. Really those coords should be ignored and the ones by pprass used to save a lot of bother.
Nice hide anyway.
Thanks!

First looked for this one in mid-November 2009, when I was so new to caching I wasn't even crawling! Dropped by again every 3-4 months since then, to no avail. After a phone-a-friend (by email) confirmed it really was there and providing a good indication of the real GZ (28 metres from the coords listed), this one was in hand in short order ..... sheepishly I have stood centimetres from the hide on more than one occasion; some days you're hot, other days you're an Antarctic blizzard.
Thank goodness this thorn in my side is gone ..... but like it or no, the best hides are the simplest!

Took me awhile to find this one ,had to go back couple times.
The ground zero really needs to be fixed.

Didn't find this one as it's a bit tricky so you need to read a few of the past finds. I didn't find it as my iphone ran out of charge, so i will be coming back to this one, this time itha gps...lol
Came past the park today, and since it was raining there were absolutely no muggles, so I took the chance. I had read in the previous logs that the coords are off, so I just searched likely spots and succeeded in the end.

FINALLY found it. Not me, but my oldest ventured off far enough and BAMM she came running up with the trophy. Coords are really way off though. More like +30m off. I must admit that in my previous search I did not think this place would qualify. But, all is good now. Thanks for reviving this one!
(:))
We love this park and spend a lot of time here and this finds makes it all the more special. We have tried a few times before with no luck but today we finally found it! This was our second find for the day and the geokids were thrilled! Muggles everywhere on weekends ... may want to consider checking this out on a weekday. Thanks!

I could not retrieve the cache as a couple of muggles sat and chatted and no doubt wondered what the hell I was up to.
Back another time to log it.

this cache was lying completely exposed in the hiding spot log was wet with a liquified mint making this a sticky situation. we have the cache at home and will clean relog and touch up and put it back tomorrow. so good news for those who feared it was gone .....get back and find it.
I have been to this site about 10 times in the past 3 months and no cache has been found. Now it might well just be operator error, but I think this one needs confirming that it is still in location. With all the work going on and river bank damage it might have gone missing.
Have tried on a number of occations to locate this cache but with no luck. Have looked high and low but with all the rain of late the only protental hide location showing signs of wear and no cache. Sorry
At the rare occasion of not being all on my own, I took the opportunity to find this one. It spent quite some time trying very hard not to make myself look suspicious. Search high and low and behind but did not find. Only found a small magnetic toy thing which was way off cord anyway. It was good to really have a good look at this park though. Might ask my friends to meet up here ones. Nice sheltered playground.
Had a good look around here with not a muggle to be seen, but couldn't find it........there is some repair work being done near a potential GZ, so not sure if this has anything to do with my inability to find the booty.....
No luck today ... had a real good look with the geokids BurgerGirl and Firebolt_Cal but nothing doing. We'll be back.
We say lucky Sheriff. It was 10deg cooler with a cool breeze sitting under the tree on the bench to love lane. K found this one easy find she TN but left mentos in sealed packet. Enjoy. TFTC SL

Found this one fairly quickly but very well hidden for the location! Log is full and didn't have any spares with me sorry TFTC Pete & Liz
O My Geocache!!! This was of course the perfect place to hide the cache! Felt a bit silly we didn't see it the first time. TNLN SL which may need replacing soon! TFTC
Went back to this little cache after finding a while ago (it needed maintenance then) but great to see its in tip top shape

OOOOOO! been back a couple of times! Dodged muggles, tried new co-ordinates, saw booby trap! We must be so close but we just cant put our hand on it! We will not give up!
Found at 12.50pm GAFF3. Another lovely park and another cache that had co-ords over 18 metres out. We went from tree to tree for 30 minutes looking at all of the possible hiding spots - not a very traveller friendly cache. At leaast it was cool under the shade of the trees while searching.
Thanks Pete & Liz - we have supplied our co-ords hoping that they are closer to GZ.

Searched high and low, again with our new geocachers. Teamxxxx mum was the one who spotted this one. After others gave up and tried other trees. TFTC

Charlie and I are here from Oregon, USA, campiong the east coast in a camper van. Q&EZ find...then we found the Senious Picnic in the Park and joined in for some of the info they were sharing, and the tote bags...which were great for our camping! TFTFun
Located the cache within minutes after casting an eye over the general area and heading to a likely spot.
Makes for a good puzzle seeing as the coords are nearly 25 m out. TN L Marble and Pirate Booty.

Tried this one on Sunday i was alone that day and the muggle families around made me feel exposed and i moved on.
Returned today with Mrs Red Devil even more muggles around but easier to search.
Mrs RD spotted it half out in the open!..a spot where i had stood searching just a few moments before.(Thats a worry!!!)
We signed the log, and returned it to where we found it but covered it with leaves, twigs etc so it wasnt visible.

Found at 1103 with Marg and Judy. Thought we'd do this to the high school jubilee. A pretty quick find in a nice riverside park. Cache dry and OK. TFTC.
Last of my Townsville finds. A quick find, even with a few muggles still out walking along the track.

Found after work. The cache log was a soggy mess as well as the contents of the cache. I dried out the cache and contents but the log was not salvageable. I placed the back page of my printout in a small plastic bag and put it in the cache until it can be replaced later. TNLN TFTC

This one took us ages as with the GPS co-ords being out and with the number of muggles that frequent this for a great weekend day. Finally found and after a very stealthy retrieve we were unable to sign the log as it is completely soaked.

This was a nice easy find, even though the co-ords were out according to my GPS. I suppose that no two GPS's would read the same anyway . Just in case it's helpful to someone, my co-ords were S19.17.997 E146.47.481. I averaged these to exhaustion on my GPS. It had eight satellites functioning so it may be a good reading to try. I am a bit slow, but I couldn't understand why the cache is so named. I'll probably get bombarded now by everyone explaining what a dill I am for being the only cache not to get it! Thanks Pete and Liz.
Was looking in completely wrong place at first, but then kezz11 remembered a clue from one of the photos. Didn't take long to find after that.
Found with Townsvillian and a Herd of Camels. Was dark and almost gave up. Luckily remembered a clue from one of the logs and the cache was then easily found.
Started searching just after dusk by torchlight. My GPS had me about 15 meters away from the GZ, and I was thinking I may have to give up, but then Townsvillian and Kez11 turned up to join the hunt. Between us we eventually found the cache (kudos to Kez11). Took nothing, left a penny. TFTC.
