found the log book and caching paper near by then found a tube and replaced it where i thought it should be was wet though
Destroyed/Seriously muggled: the lid for this hollow log has vanished, along with the securing bolts, and cache container destroyed - a few bits of plastic and an end cap were all that remained.
Not so easy find the cache, but I found it. My GPS was 12 m on other place for the cache. Thanks.
I zigged and I zagged all the way down to the bottom to get this one, passing runners going in the opposite direction at least 2-3 times. Cache was in teh most logical place and I managed to pick a muggle free moment to leave the track and go looking. Easy find once up there. TFTC
note to self: wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty when cache hunting... TFTC =)
Got this during a southerly so not many muggles around! (Although I still had to duck behind a tree once). The log book is getting quite damp.
Wazza and the Wenches have invaded NZ on a (caching) holiday. Surprisingly the Wench is happy for BBTD and Wazza to chase caches wherever we go...
An easy find using the clue, but probably a lot harder had we been forced to search a broader area. With quite a lot of muggles walking and running past we had to be quite careful to time our retrieval. Still managed to do it without being spotted.
Thanks again GSVNoFixedAbode.

It was quite easy once we knew where we were going. Got off track but then realised that we were off track.
Thought this one was going to be an easy one to do before lunch in the Rhododendron garden. But every path we took was blocked and we walked round and round in circles before finding a close entry point for Old Boots to clamber the last 25m. Hello Mrs chatted to muggles on the path while Old Boots took his time out of sight locating the cache. Proved to be the most time consuming cache today and boy were we ready for our lunch in the sun. TFTC
A clever hide and a good cooler overcast day to search - not too many muggles about.
Thanks

Good wee bad-on. Really cool hiding spot, and I only fell over once trying to get it. TFTC.
A good wee cache. Enjoyed it much! Took the quick track back, that is to say - slipped over and slid on my backside. Wife thought it most amusing!
Went to this one the hard way. Tricky stream crossing. Quick find of nicely hidden cache. SL TFTC
TFTC SL TNLN easy find great cache a few muggles walking passed but didnt notice me lovely day
Cool spot, and quick easy find with the Sunny South crew from Invercargill & Dunedin. This is the track our daughter takes to get to Polytech. Didn't have a bag with us sorry. TFTC!
I think we probably took the least direct route available but found it in the end.
Nice cache. The next visitor could help by taking a medium zip lock bag to replace the current one which has a hole in it.

Bit damp. Not sure if cache should be obviously visible once you are above it? Left as we found it anyway.
Gee that hide's a bit naughty. Sat-loc was a bit dodgy. Nice sunny day.

Not exactly low impact in the Botanic Gardens (which is what I would expect) but nevertheless a good hide. Once we worked out where this was going to be, it was just a matter of dodging the muggles.
Thanks for the cache.

Made a day of visiting various Botanic Garden Cache. Nice hide on this one. Nice spot.
Found while out introducing the brother inlaw and nieces and nephews to caching. I think he is hooked.
Lovely day in the park with the kids.

This was an easy find as one of our team members was keen and agile enough to scramble up the slope. TNLN
Took a while to figure this one out and only after we checked the terrain did we find the cache. Wow! What an unexpected find! This is one nicely crafted cache container. Mr bjtrekker found the cache and geo-son scrambled up to the top for photos while Mrs bjtrekker and geo-daughter watched in awe below (and for muggles!) as geo-dad held up the prize. Had to do all the hunting, scrambling and photo taking in between the gaps in passing muggle traffic, so we spent quite a bit of time here. A very exciting find. Thanks GSVNoFixedAbode for a fun filled cache.
Took two attempts to find this one, found by falling down onto it from the top! TFTC, cool hidey hole.
7/9 today. Headed to the spot and looked up to find 4 muggles peering back at us, looked to be settled in, so headed off to find the others and they had gone when we returned. Nice hiding spot. #87
Great hiding place (as mentioned by other cachers). First approach from the wrong way, but this was definitly too steep. Approached from another way and found it. TFTC
Great hide but found terrain a bit steep going (esp for those who are not so flexible)! Found by my daughter who is a lot more agile than me. TFTC.
Easy find although the GPSr was a little erratic.
We are on our first visit to Dunedin from Oz and love the area.
Wish we had rain like this at home. It's something we haven't experienced for a very long time.
Loved the cache and returned to our motel happy but with very muddy shoes.

Last cache of the day - just as the sun was setting. A neat find, I like the container! Had to keep an eye out for those muggles too.

Cheers,
Blarghster,
Thought this one had us fooled, so we stepped back, regrouped and went in for another look.
Well done.
Well done.
Replaced the full logbook. I see that the outer lid of the container has vanished I may have to archive this if the weather gets too much for it now.

Great site, literally stumbled across it. The log book is full, whoever heads up next might want to bring a small, flexible notebook to leave.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Arrived at the spot and thought, no, this is wrong, after looking around decided to expend a bit of energy to find it.

The ground was slippery climbing up the slope to get to this, no because of the wet, but because it was so dry. Dunedin is having an awesome summer. Nice container. TFTC
great spot.love the camo.have been finding a few around this area.easy find.T4TC
Nice little hidey hole and walk to cache. Took dice and left highlanders rugby card. From what I recall, the logbook is pretty full. TFTC

Managed to find this without a GPS. Didn't see TB18PPK in it though.

This was our first ever attempt at geocaching and we managed to find it successfully without a GPS - haven't managed to get one yet on our student wages!! Very enjoyable TFTC
Nice cache. I looked at it from the north and saw exactly where it was. Would have been tricky otherwise.
2265. Good one!
This cache brings us "back to our roots" - where it all began for us!
We really enjoyed the beautiful bird songs all around us this morning.

Found at 3:16pm.
Using the clues we found the nice and unique container. Took cache back down to the crew and we logged and swapped.

Took a bit of finding due to the poor reception in the gardens. Used clues and were successful. Great hide.
A quick find on an evening walk in the gardens by torchlight from a nearby motel whilst staying overnight in Dunedin. Very well-constructed hiding-place, quite ingenious! TNLN, thanks for a fun cache.
Cool hide very well camoflaged. Bumped into a cachers grandmother while walking along the path.

This was quite easy, said she who stood on the path and watched. I was on my way to play for a students audition at the uni, so made baby Pukeko go up by himself! TFTC.
GPS brought us right to the entry point, {me} joined the walk around the gardens for this one after a few trails had been followed to the wrong area. This is quite a cool concept, well done and TFTC.
Checking for caches that StreetWalkerNZ has found but I haven't and found this one. Apparently I didn't log my find 15 years ago, according to SW's log, I found it too! TFTC.
#206. StreetWalkerNZ, Troodles and Oma. Needed clue to get to right spot. The thing cache was in is damaged a little, but still quite effective.
17:20 Found after a scramble in the dusk. A great hide but be aware that the lid is broken. TNLN. TFTC
