Well what a mission that was, after the nearby CITO a group of us came looking for this cache. We had to backtrack several times after finding the way blocked and finally reached the right level to make the find before the struggle to get back out again. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl

12-Oct-24
This has been on my watchlist for years, and today was the opportunity to clear my last traditional cache in the RNP. After the CITO at Marley Beach, a group of us made our way over. We took the beach option, by crossing the floating footbridge, walking along the sand and then the grass. Here we had to decide - high or low? Some of us went high, others battled low, until we had all go high, then at the last bit go low to a rock ledge by the water. Either way it was a tough trek.Once there, we had CIH in good time. We managed to take turns to squeeze onto the ledge, add our names, then replaced as found. I noticed that if we had come directly across from the opposite sandbank, it would have only been about 20m! Just then, Surdivisio and Graubunden arrived, so they had the pleasure of finding it next. Then came the bush bash back to civilisation. What a fight that was. There were even some bees near the last step down to the sand. By the end of it we were all pretty exhausted after the long day out. A special mention to GeolorikeetAU, who went above and beyond her maternal duties today. GMAU owes you lots of chores and caring for his mum at home. And he better do his Maths homework! We noticed that some recent online logger's names were not on the log sheet. I'll leave the CO to sort that out. If so then, we have about 3.5 years unloved here. Thanks to the COs for this hide. It's good to see it is still going. And my RNP map is clear (for now). TFTC

12-Oct-24
With the Cito group today. After treking near 13Km, there was still this cache to get, and i was really feeling it. I was just following the leaders, should of took the water option, as the bush bash was tough. Thnaks for bringing me to this great spot. TFTC.

On geocaching with Graubunden. Didnt get to see the whole crew of geocachers at the GCNSW CITO at Royal National Park. Guess where we ran into them again? Right here at GZ, so greetings once again.Fantastic spot for an old cache. Difficult to get through but we two managed. So did others ahead of us. Thanks Gazma, Applehead Man and wazza9 for my 2321 find

SurdiVisio and I returned to Wattamolla after Big Marley Beach where Geocaching NSW had a CITO. Strong winds. We took the rocks route before going up. We met others near there. Thank you.

I believe that as long as people cache in a COVID safe way, there is no longer a need to disable this cache.
Take care.

Golly that was a nightmare. Can’t say that was easy to get to but got to it eventually. Beach didn’t work so ended up coming around the top which I made work only because it wasn’t happening the other way. Tftc tnln

Fantastic rock formations in the area, I loved being at GZ, but what an extreme punishment to get there. The bush bash was absolutely horrendous. Climbed the cliff to avoid going through the water but it took me a whole hour to bush bash the 160m. Even crawling in parts, I could not get through and was consistently entrapped by extremely thick scrub with branches wrapping themselves around me.

I did manage to find a better path on the way back, so if you decide to bush bash, go along as close to the cliff line as possible, as going any further in is one of the worst punishments out there. I would encourage any future finders to swim or use a watercraft to get there.

Once I dropped myself down to the water level I was able to make the find at GZ. TFTC Wazza9.

Drove over to the Shire this afternoon to see if we could knock off a few more caches on our Sutherland Shire Cachers Challenge hitlist. Meetup with TARDIS 0061 and phlphotos then drove down to Wattamolla. After parking the car we walked down to the beach and luckily it was low tide so no wading necessary today. Walked directly towards GZ and realised our error, so backtracked to the fig tree and found an access to a higher elevation. Extremely thick scrub up top, but we managed to find a faint track to follow towards GZ. Took around 45 minutes to find the cache as we scaled the cliff to different caves. In the end we adjusted our elevation down to the waterline where we made the find. Both the cache and log are in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache Gazma and Applehead Man and to wazza9 for the ongoing maintenance. Giving this one a FP.

The following TBs came through for the mileage : Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, Searching for Paradise, Moneypenny Deadly Duck

Came here last week at high tide decided I wasn't dressed to get to GZ the way I thought so tried another way but kept getting further away with no way through the thick scrub to GZ, so went back to the car to try another day.

Today meat up with teamMerlin and TARDIS 0061 with a more reasonable tide and we were able to walk to GZ without getting our feet wet but this is where it was a matter of what level. checked around lots of levels and lots of caves but it took a long time to find the cache just before we were about to give up teamMerlin found it. After no finds in almost two years glad it wasn't missing

With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Gazma & Applehead Man and for wazza9 for looking after it

A favourite point for this one

I came to this cache with my friend who had not found it previously. We didn’t have our phones, just her memory of where it was and a bit of a description. We got wet, acted like mountain goats goats and found this cache. It is well above the water line and located where you would expect to find a cache. I removed some prickly bush branches for the comfort of the next cacher ️

This year our plan was to spend our "summer vaction" in Australia.
So arriving on the 7th November we took over the campervan and started our tour from Sydney to Adelaine. On that tour we tried to found a lot of caches. This was unfortuanetly one of those we did not found.

Thank's a lot to all CO's that placed and maintain the caches here in "Down Under".

Greetings from the south of Germany

This was a great little detour from my day at the beach.
I considered leaving it for next time and hoping for >6 month gap between finds but decided to seize the opportunity as sometimes caches get muggled or I don't return as soon as I expect.
After taking a little wade over I checked a few spots and was glad to make a find without having to venture too far from safe, familiar terrain.
Loved it - favourite

Waded across water and picked approx gz area. Definitely close to water edge and *hint.. tripped over it without realising. Not in cave but rather between caves/ in valley. After look for so long almost gave up on it. Saw the typical rock try to hide cache..

Look for a large painted plastic peach/fruit container. I took TB. I left 3 kinder surprise toys. I also left a pink pen. Hubby flew drone around and got some great shots. Dare devil that I am I jump off the lower cliff near waterfall.

Took a little of exploring in all of the wrong places but managed in the end.

Visited Wattamolla for the first time today and loved it all! Can't wait to come back. ziggiau and TzelisFamily lead the way and we all had a good hunt and nearly gave up but eventually our perseverance paid off.

10-Jan-16
It was the best day to be out at Wattamolla, and it felt like half of Sydney agreed. Our little group started out the day with a 3km walk and then back to the beach for a swim and finally some time being sucked along The Chute and a wade to the waterfall to watch the jumpers. It wasn't until that point that it occurred to me where the cache might be. Luckily the phone was already in hand but no writing implement. Fingers crossed CO provides a scribe. TzelisFamily (2 of 3), dingoman007 and I moved closer to the GZ and saw some likely spots on approach but it wasn't any of those. First round of investigation also came up empty handed. It's only when we gave up but couldn't help turning back for one last look that we had the a ha moment. A fantastic way to end our summer fun day. Thanks wazza9 for keeping this cache alive.

03-Oct-15
Parked at Wattamolla Beach with the aim of finding all four caches in the area but this one eluded us today. We'd never been here before and rather than crossing a kiddie pool we didn't realise we'd be crossing Bass Strait Smile

We did our recon so next time we will come better prepared. Good excuse to return to this lovely spot!

Another one on the to-do list for way too long. Wouldn't like to see what this place looked like on a summers day- it was packed just in winter time! Plenty of people jumping off the rock too. We tackled this one with The Rats and Mini Rats. Enjoyed the walk down to the beach then enjoyed a direct approach- after a little search the cache was located. Thanks!

02-Aug-15
Leaving the nearby event we teamed up with steeba and the kids to tackle this cache. I'd been here many times and even contemplated doing it on a few occasions as I did the coastal walk.
Getting close we realised there was no other way than the direct approach, so after a bit of a search we finally had this one in hand and finally I tick off this 9 year old cache.

02-Aug-15
We teamed up with the rats and steeba or should I say we were dragged along to this cache with them. We watched a few people jump off the rock and then went and found our own surprise. All be it a little cold n wet.
Thanks

15-May-15
After a great day of exploring old aboriginal shelters in the park, couldn't resist the chance to put this one to bed. The ever patient Mr H was happy to tag along. Not wanting wet feet with the rather high water level we bushbashed our way along the top of the cliffs then down to the cache. A great end to a great afternoon.

Mandalf and my first cache of our day out in the RNP, making the most of some clear weather! It was also my first time to Wattamolla and I can see what all the fuss is about. Will be back in the summer- TFTC!

Had so much fun jumping off the rock and swimming at the beach we didn't end up getting the cache. Haha. This place was more popular than Bondi today - hundreds of people everywhere enjoying the location.

24-Jan-15
While spending the day at beautiful Wattamolla with a group, I thought it was a goood opportunity to try for this cache. The weather was perfect and the area was packed to the limit with muggles enjoying a
the fabulous weather but the GZ is a little way from the frolicking throng so, no problems there. The water level in the lagoon is high at the moment but still just wadeable to the other side and it made for an easy exit at the only suitable rock near the GZ. GPS said it was a little way up the slope so I started scrambling barefoot up through rocks, scratchy scrub etc. for a futile search of every nook & cranny. Finally I read some previous logs (should have done that first) which said it was closer to the water's edge, so it was back down the slope and after a short search I had the CIH and the paperwork done. A very enjoyable find! Thanks Wazza9 for keeping this one active.

Hi everyone

As of today I'll be transferring the ownership of this cache over to wazza9. I'm unable to maintain it any longer and wazza, who replaced the cache previously, has kindly volunteered to adopt it so that it can remain active. Thanks wazza!

Hoping everyone can continue to enjoy this cache!

Thanks

Thanks to gazma for setting this cache up and keeping it going. All the best with your future activities.

Bit more than board shorts required (9 year old geogirl said "I liked swimming across that Bass Strait bit"). Lovely to find such a peaceful spot on such a busy day. TFTC.

27-Dec-14
Catching up with MMH&M nearby and had to give this one a go... Not much wading but plenty of swimming to get this one! Cache was not far from the water's edge - the bottom of the water is very slimy at this location - ew! But spectacular views and location so thanks for bringing us here.

23-Dec-14
We swam the short distance straight across to GZ. Where we exited the water the cache was within a metre of us. But, it took a failed higher search to return lower for the find i slid back into the water from the signing spot while my son replaced it behind me. A great spot!

TFTC.

29-Nov-14
I wade over to GZ. I started low and finished high searching for the cache. But, no luck! I cameout along the top and around the beach.

I will return with a hint.

28-Sep-14
Imagine a 25 year old woman with long black hair in a ponytail wearing spandex and climb these rocks to swing to this cache. Well, this middle age Dutchman in his swimmers didn't look anything like that, including the not finding of the geocache container.

Could we get a hint of at what height we have to look?

09-Aug-14
Walked down to beach then felt the water ..No way am I going in that freezing water ..I will dffntly be back in warmer weather for this one

20-Jul-14
The plan was to lead four colleagues to Eagle Rock and back, then set forth to find Mowlee cache, then return for this.
I made down to the lagoon, changed my boots to some old shoes, then I got my toes wet
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!! THAT"S COLD!
Maybe once I cant feel my feet I will go across. After a few more steps I could see the water get deeper. I was already up to my shins, one more step would be waist deep NO WAY WHILE ITS THIS COLD!
I'll come back when it gets warmer.

A big thank you to Wazza9 for volunteering to replace this cache for me, it looks as though it had indeed gone missing after all these years. Apologies to anyone who recently had a search but couldn't find it, it is definitely up and running again now.

Happy caching!

08-Jun-14
Many thanks to Gazma for contacting me last night with details about where the cache should be and requesting help to position a replacement.
I was able to return to GZ this morning and check again. After I waded through water now over my knees with the surf closing the beach outlet overnight, I replaced the cache on their behalf to keep this important 2006 cache along the Coast Track in play.

08-Jun-14
TFTC Gazma,
Your help to relocate a cache for all to enjoy is appreciated.
I know I have helped in the relocation of this cache to keep it going and feel a bit funny placing a find on it.
My second visit to GZ in 2 days has provided 2 very different experiences.Yesterday the water was only ancle deep and today it was below my knees when I walked across but over them when I walked back.
To complete a 2006 cache along the Coast Track, visited by so many overseas travellers in such a picturesque location is a great feeling.
Visited a group of trackables, left one and added a favorite.

08-Jun-14
Returning today, knowing that Wazza9 was replacing the cache, I decided to take my time reaching GZ before I looked for the container after he had time to place it. My luck was in today, great area the mugglers were out early today, but not in the place where the cache is. TFTC

07-Jun-14
What a shame, with all the rain last week the lagoon opened up and the water had emptied. I was able to walk up to within 3M of GZ through some very thick mud and scramble to where I believed I should be.
No luck and after spending a good hour searching around the rock where my GPS indicated GZ to be I started to move East to some other likely spots.
Lets hope the CO does a check and advises its status soon.

07-Jun-14
It is a shame that I have to place a DNF, after crossing water twice, at least I didn't have to swim it. Looked in all the places that it could have been and more, after an hour or so on we go to return another day.

09-Mar-14
This was our second attempt and still no cigar. Despite a thorough search, and gps showing we were zero feet away, the cache eluded us. Kids enjoyed a quick swim, gorgeous location. Thanks for bringing us to this place!! Xo

11-Oct-13
Damo and I scouted a few spots to attack this cache, but in the end it appeared the only way to it involved getting wet. So it was off with the boots and pants and into the water we went. I only wished I'd waxed by bikini line.

Once on the rocks I searching high, while Damo. searched low.afetr 45 minutes of searching we decided lunch was calling, so we headed back to the other side. I jumped back into the lagoon for a quick cool down. Hopefully, I'll work out where we went wrong and return with a found log next time.

11-Oct-13
After looking for a water-free approach, we stripped off and headed into the water. Unfortunately after 45 minutes searching we gave up. At least the water was nice and refreshing.

10-Sep-13
Could not find although didn't go up to the top as i had no shoes.

27-Mar-12
this was probably the strangest cache we found. we tried to come in on the ledge from both sides but not from there. So I stripped to my undies and crossed the lake. There was some filming of commercial so the muggles were occupied watching that so I went unnoticed, I then climbed the rocks bare feet I looked all over and nothing , disapointed I turned around and there it was.Big Grin This was our last cache in Australia Tomorow we head back to Canada.Sad Thank for making us finish in such a lovely place. 16:15 Hrs

After a cooling dip in the ocean, I walked over to check out the cache. Lots of muggles on this hot and sunny day. As luck would have it, there was a young muggle fishing in the lagoon directly opposite GZ. Oh well, time for another swim at the beach.
I returned a few hours later and the coast was clear, so a quick wade and scramble and the cache was found. I completed the logging duties swiftly and returned to the family who were now enjoying the more populated area of the lagoon.

This is a great location for the family to cool off on a hot day.

Thanks Gazma.

Went here while the tide was relatively low. The lagoon was almost dry even, but had to trudge through mud still as the sand was still wet in some parts. Saw the "odd formation" of rocks in the lagoon and thought the cache was there. Was a little bit scared as some previous cachers mentioned a diamond python around the area. And I was here alone. The climb up the rock was precarious, and I kept hoping there is no poisonous spider or snake around. Got some scratches from the bushes on the cliff. The biggest disappointment of it all is that I didn't find the cache. Hope to be back again here sometime. TFTC!

TRIED TO FIND THIS ONE LAST TUESDAY BUT THE LAGOON WATER LEVEL WAS FAIRLY HIGH..........AND COLD!!!! CAME BACK TODAY & SURPRISE SURPRISE THE LAGOON HAD OPENED UP & WAS FLOWING INTO THE OCEAN MEANING THE LAGOON WATER LEVEL HAD DROPPED HEAPS, AFTER A SHORT WADE THROUGH ANKLE DEEP WATER AND TRUDGING THROUGH SOME MUD A QUICK SCRAMBLE UP THE ROCKS & THE CACHE WAS FOUND.

Coined a new term for this one - a DNB - did not bother SmileHad walked past it before we realised and a lot of muggle traffic.

01-May-11
I went out there today turned on the GPS and realised I had not put the cache co-ords into it, I remember looking on Google earth and noticing the rocks where the cache is hidden and thought I should have a crack. Wow the whole lagoon was draining to the ocean and very low, but it made my day when I found the cache without the co-ords. I took the TB.

Happy Easter!

This time, relaxing Easter - no big trip to Arkaroola or elsewhere, just hang around in the beautiful area of the Illawarra and vicinity. What's a Molla? Watta-Quoi? Wattamolla! We came here for the first time the second week end after we migrated to OZ, seven years ago. Suparki12, the little boy, was scared that day to death when he saw the crabs at the sea. Scated to death - had never seen such ugly creatures before. Later on, that day, we walked along the shore line and he climbed on the rocks ... remember, we were a rock climbing family! Down again, he chatted with his dad and I asked him, what's up there - a big big snake - what , a snake!?! What kind of snake? - No worries, dad, it's sleeping! - Have you been close? - Yes, a meter or so, but no worries, it's sleeping! - I went up as well to see - indeed, a huge diamond python - sleeping in the sun! Now it attracted attention of other muggle, who came with a stick to impress before the ladies... when it became too embarrassing for the python, it just sneaked away into a hole in the rocks. So, I am sure, there were these lovely animals out here today. While kids were jumping from the highest rocks they could find - near the car park, The Arkaroo went to the beach and then waded through the very low water. The lagoon was open and low tide, so water levels pretty down, far further than usual as one can see from the vegetation line. Easy - haha, it remembered me another story in Florida at Highland Oaks Restoration (GC10ACQ), a month ago, where I had attempted similar deep water crossing - but then realized that was a quick sand area - probably meters deep, wondering how many cachers disappeared there. - Anyway, good wading, the water still warm, pull ups the rock (I left my swimming gear and towel at the bottom) - and there it was spotted. Oh no - a muggle group wading in right now. No worries, I did my photo shooting of rocks and plants and suddenly the cache was sitting in the center of that rock where I just relaxed and enjoyed the nature and the views.

Cache container was 1/3 full with sand - someone must have put that in. I cleaned up a bit and lft a travel bug, Riley the Cachepillar - a coin which I found in San Diego two months ago.

Certainly this cache gets one of my favorites. Well done and glad having these established adventure caches in our national parks!

On a Duke of Edinburgh walk doing the coast track with the lads from school. Stopped here for lunch and had a great swim. Off to North Era fir the night. Thanks for the hunt. The cache was open but all the contents seemed to be there, I repacked it and made it all good again. Thanks for the hunt.

LOVED the spot. My feet where kept dry thanks to the trusty waterproof boots unlike the misses who decided not to wear hers. Well done guys..

17-Aug-10
Scratched around the scrub and rock ledges for ages with no result. Came away with many scratches but a good laugh at the bewilderment on the faces of my newly inducted geocachers as we pushed through the terrain!

10-Jan-10
A walk through the water to the other side and a scramble (gingerly as in bare feet) over the rocks eventually revealed the cache.
Also found a snake curled up between a rock ledge in the first cave next to the cache position.

After reading a couple of log and noticing that everybody was getting wet to get to the cache I thought lets try to get there by land.
I succeeded, however, this will increase the terrain rating by at least 1 point!
Had a lot of fun with nobody around this early(6.30 am).
enjoyed the views and swapped TB

Cool spot. Fun to get to if you want to stay dry!

13-Sep-09
It was unseasonally warm this particular day (apparently 12 degrees above average), so of course half the population of sydney was there for a swim. [:o] A bit of stealth was required and my wana-be ninja skills shone through quite well and no unwanted attention was received. Cool
Oh yeah, left the boot too.

Started the day with a BBQ lunch, then went down for a swim.

The beach and lower part of the lagoon was packed with people, so didn’t like my chances of getting this one, however there was next to no one in the other half.

Waded through the lagoon with Hayden, initially settled on the wrong spot, but didn’t take too long to work out that we had to be a few more meters west. Did a bit of climbing and rock hoping to eventually find the cache! Hayden made some swaps, took water bombs left bee# pez dispenser.

After watching my fellow cache hunter/brother leap from the waterfall i walked myself and the GPS across the river in search of this cache. We were both no stranger to teh terrain as we have frequented Wattamola over the years it is a pretty spot and even more so when there is no one there at aroound 8am in the morning. Once we had the cache in hand it was time to swim back to shore to continue our coastal track hike.

This one was tough, for a novice geocacher.

Didnt think I had to wade the lagoon .... but ended up doing it.

1st mistake - didnt have swimmers or anything, so I went across in my nice shorts.

2nd mistake - crossed the lagoon in the wrong spot, and therefore had to do some really insane climbing to get to GZ.

3rd mistake - due to the crazy climbing, I needed good shoes. Cant really do this sort of climbing in cheap thongs.

4th mistake - felt very seedy from a big night beforehand, perhaps not the best idea to go rock climbing while still tipsy.

Anyway, top location - no muggles anywhere. I searched high and low, to no avail. The jumping up and down and around was tough - elevation is important on this one. Looking at some photos in the logs below, seems like going 'high' is the trick.

I will be back - I will bring help. I will tear around in there until I find it! Definitely determined to make this one happen.

After spending a relaxing lunch next to the water Davo82, Jess and I went looking this one. I headed up the right way, but Davo found the goods by jumping up the rocks.

Thanks

Found this one with my partner and Elizabeth Carter during a fantastic day out. We took our blow up boat and had a ball in the creek. I highly recommend packing a picnic lunch and a blanket and making a day of it. There were heaps of muggles about but we managed to find a gap in traffic to find, sign and return the cache. A great day to be outdoors and our first time bushwalking in the park and our first geocache here too. Nice hiding spot, and well worth the "wade". TNLN TFTC.

Last time i came here was when Frippy and i walked the coast track & he went & found the cache while i had an afternoon sleep so i could not claim it. So back today with great weather and no one around except for the fisherman on the beach and a sunbaker and myself up the creek looking for a cache in bearfeet in all the black mud, then after about 10mins later i had the cache, filled in the log and swaped a few footy cards for a small ball. Then it was down to the beach for a quick swim thanks for the great cache well done...

This was a bit arduous. Fantastic location, had lunch here with wife and daughter, walked down to the beach, then had to wade across the channel and clamber over rocks to the cache location. Checked many hidey holes but didn't turn up the cache, so had to return empty-handed. Then on the return trip my wife slipped on rocks and fell in the creek, completely soaked contents of handbag ruined, and had to sit in wet clothes the rest of the day until our flight home. Not the greatest cache experience we've ever had, but it is a superb location.

What a great little adventure and a bugger of a cache to find.
I had just finished my 8.5km walk to Eagle Rock and back so I thought I'd wander over to get this one.
Needing a sugar hit I ate my ice cream and giant snake ( the kiosk was open) I ambled my way along the board walk.
As I sat staring at the in coming water I knew where I would need to go,so off came the boots and the socks and I pulled up the legs of my pants so they were sitting around my thighs.
Oh, the water felt so good on my hot feet.
Wading across, I then made my way across the sand before deciding it would be best to put my boots back on.
The tide was out so I walked or squelched my way along the inlet as there was no water in it, until I started to sink. Oh no, yukky, sticky, black muck all over my boots and nearly in my socks.
I made a quick dash to the shore and walked the rest of the way through the scrub before finding a suitable place to scramble up the rocks.
I had a superb view from GZ and the muggles nearby looked at me strangely before soon departing.
After much searching I found the cache after having previously gone right past it.
Clever spot and a great place in which to do the caching duties.
No swaps but I took the TB and the Geocoin. I also took the Pathtag which I thought was another geocoin, until it all became clear at home.
Looking forward to seeing more caches like this one.

A gorgeous sunny afternoon but not too many muggles around. But then...a father and two sons turn up just as the hunt begins. They scramble all over the rocks near to where we want to be and after 20 mins just don't seem to want to move on. So we go for a little paddle further upstream to kill some time. They follow us! We return to GZ, they reappear. GO AWAY! Eventually the dad slips off a rock, gets soaking wet, ruins his mobile phone, and they leave. We are free to search at long last! The cache was soon found thankfully before they probably turned up again!
Last time we were here it was the middle of summer but couldn't even park & had to turn around and go elsewhere!
Lovely spot & good fun cache.
Left a TB & a geocoin.
Thanks,

Such a magnificent place to visit. A real pity that the fence has been errected around the cliff edge to deter the jumpers.
Great cache Gazma and Applehead Man and hidden well too. It took us a while to realize that we had no other option than to wade accross.

We finished our Bundeena to Wottamolla walk, thankfully the kids weren't tired just yet so off to find this cache which has eluded me previously. The wet weather meant this location was very quiet today, so no worries about being observed. Having been rained on for the previous few hours we all agreed the water option was a last resort so through the bush we went. We soon found the cache.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache!
best wishes,
Wal, Bethany, Jeremy and Zac

After a walk to and from "On the Wings of an Eagle" and "Pool by the Sea" on this 30+ degree day, the lagoon proved the perfect temptation and to have a cache on the other side made it even better. We swam over with mr bloopy holding the GPS and pen out of harms way and clambered up the rocks - a few people snorkelling and swimming nearby but nothing like the crowds over near the main part of the lagoon. Mr bloopy spotted the cache from a rock opposite so mrs bloopy did the honours and scrambled to the ledge above here to claim the prize. Grabbed the ghost GC which took a swim on our way back. Thanks for a great cache!!

After returning from a stroll down the coastal track we thought we’d pop over for a look at this one. It was low tide, making for an easy crossing of the creek – not sure what it’s like at high tide though. A wander along the sand and then a traipse through the light scrub followed by a bit of a clamber up some rocks and we were at the cache location. Although it wasn’t quite where we expected it only took a few minutes to find – just had to think in three dimensions. Actually we just had to think which we find hard to do sometimes. We did the cache duties whilst gazing at the lagoon below – nice spot. Took nothing but dropped off the Ghost geocoin.

A nice picnic nearby, some crazy guys jumping off a rock and the the wonderful beach...
A perfect spot.
After exploring the lagoon we waded to GZ and searched for more than 45 minutes in total... but no luck at all.
On the way back to the beach we found some golden plastic coins and a tupperware lid....
Was the cache again muggled?
Anyway,
thanks for pointing to that wonderful piece of coastal landscape.

This officialy rates as my most adventurous cache to date. Last time that I was here it was pouring rain and the cache had been muggled. This time recent rain and high tides meant that the lagoon was well and truly flowing and flooded.

Not to be detered I took off my jeans and waded accros. I was turned back fairly quickly. Again pressing on I stripped off and nuded up before wading accross. Tangles would be proud, my first nude cache.

Once on the other side I found the cache where it should have been last time. I then went back to the lagoon, nuded up again, and then headed to the car.

The water wasn't too cold, and it was just over nipple high!

Fun, fun, fun!!!

Had a good search around GZ but couldn't find it. Maybe next time as it is a place I would like to return, but next time I'll bring some help.

We finally fixed this one, sorry it took so long. We've moved it's hiding place but THE CO-ORDS ARE STILL EXACTLY THE SAME. Hope you enjoy.
