I met up with my friend, sausage3 who isnt a Premium member yet, and enjoyed a 6-7km walk in this area, finding a few puzzle caches that I solved about a year ago. We parked at the cycle track and really enjoyed our walk around the wetlands, spotting lots of birdlife, dodging cyclists and finding caches. Coordinates were pretty good and when I saw a suspicious rock, I knew that the cache would be underneath. Quite damp inside and we tried to dry everything out as much as possible but the paper couldnt be dried in the time we were there. Managed to sign though and nice to find an oldie. Tftc
A bike ride in the Nudgee-Northgate area that I had been wanting to complete following our hot ride in November 2022. After parking on Nudgee Road, Baby Cottontail and I set out on a bike ride along Jim Soorley Bikeway adjacent to Kedron Brook Floodway departing just after 11:00 hr, and we rode a total distance of 15.2 km across an elevation of 38 m, with a moving time of 1:00 hr, and total elapsed time of 1:50 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/11272160911). The wind helped to keep the mosquitoes at bay, and I enjoyed the bird life that was amongst the wetlands and water accumulations. This was another Q500 oldie that I had missed out on visiting from my November 2022 bike ride, so we took the anti-clockwise around the circuit first, calling past this location. It only took a few minutes of searching a few probable locations before finding a few telltale signs. The cache container was in good shape, but unfortunately, the log is quite damp. Ironically enough, the newly added protective bag may now be preventing it from drying. Thanks Sunshine Toledo for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 12/2006 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.
i really nice walkway through the wetlands. i cycled to this cache and found it quickly.i dried the box inside and donated a new plastic bag.tftcgreetings from bremerhaven/germany
Found the cache but it was filled with water. Here is photo for proof of finding
This cache is a bit different from the others weve found along here today. Unfortunately things were quite wet inside but we dried everything out before placing back. All good again. Thank you.
Sunshine Toledo I found your cache Kedron Brook #1 on 18/4/2023, 12:00 pm. This is my find 5049 and find # 6 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Out and about on my geo-bike today. Quick easy find. There was some water in the cache, but the log sheet was dry. TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
First one for the day, bit of a walk ,cache bit soggy but overall good find for ANB one
I’ve ridden along this path for a decade but only on a road bike. Brought the mountain bike today and it was a pleasant trip down a lovely path to this geo. TFTC
In the area conducting other caching secret business and this oldie was just to tempting to pass up…
I just had to step around the “vegetation specialists” having a break near my entry point…

Cache cleaned out and dried after the recent floods. A new log included so all good again.
Surprised that the cache is still here. Log book needs replacing as very wet.
Out on such a lovely cycle today we found this one along the way. We note that the Log is very wet.
Thanks Sunshine Toledo

Finally catching up on back logs. Family day out as Team B.
All the times I've driven past this one. Finally get the chance to grab these on the bikes.

We (wife and 8y.o.) have tried to find this one on several occasions on one of our bike rides but only realised today that we had to veer off the bike path in order to get close to it. A good find, though the paper is a touch damp even if it does have two layers of protection!
I was cycling along here today with the previous finder, who had found it in 2008, so I didn’t expect her to be much help, but lo and behold, she was actually the one who spotted GZ, as I was staring out in consternation at the swamp before me. It was nicely covered, and didn’t stand out to the non-geocacher’s eye. All was well with the cache.

A nice walk out to this one by the creek with a unique view of the city.
Took an extra five minutes to find this one because GZ was initially looked over. A remote spot by a busy road.

New cache put in place this morning so good for finding. Please cover it well.
Tenth find today while out and about on my bicycle .
This one truly is a D1! Great little cache that would be awesome for kids and beginners alike.
Signed the log, returned the cache, and paused for a moment to solve a local puzzle and take a few sips of water. Right, back to it, I turned around to make the trek back to Nudgee, one more puzzle cache, and my geomobile home. It was a beautiful day to be out and about getting some (socially distant) exercise - and I wasn't the only person who thought that, given the number of people on the path today. Blue skies and lyrca!

This is a great cache accessible from a great bike ride. Thank you to Sunshine Toledo for laying the cache. My son (7 yo) had a great time riding to it and navigating to the cache.
Out chasing some target caches today this one was close by so couldn’t leave it by itself
Thanks for bringing me here

My son showed me this track a few months back... thought I had better return to collect this find. . TFTC
Never been off the bitumen before today, so thanks for showing me somewhere new!
Early airport drop-off then on the bike for a few caches along Kedron Brook.
Alone on this path.
Poured water out of the cache, it is all quite wet.
Thank you for this one

Kestal and I headed down the range from Toowoomba bright and early this morning with the intention of picking up some caches of interest before attending a CITO this afternoon. A short walk from the previous cache in the heat of the afternoon sun and we soon had the container in hand. TFTC Sunshine Toledo.
Eskies5 and I headed down to Bris from Toowoomba to attend a CITO we added a few extras to our list to tick off a couple of goals. This was the next one on the list and a short walk from the previous cache. A quick find thanks to the co-ords being spot on. TFTC Sunshine Toledo

Friday. Needing a cache today and this is probably one of the few older “close-ish” caches left near home, it seemed an obvious choice. Arriving at the parking co-ords noted on the cache page, I headed off, chatting to a guy in a wheelie-bike first and his wife and then getting some intel on the paths in the area from him. I didn’t know that the bike path was also a footpath, but this was great news. I headed off and made my way on a really great path. Looks like some areas have even been mowed to keep either the grass down or make it easier to get to other places (not sure where you would go however). It was a bit warm but the wind was blowing, so I knew I was getting a good tan without the heat of it. Overall a really great and enjoyable walk. Like a previous finder, Woody, the number of bikers on the concrete path was amazing! Why aren't you all at work?? No one on the stone path though so I could enjoy the sights without the worry of getting in anyone's way.
Arrived at GZ and as my phone took a while to catch up, I thought I had to duck through the fencing to get this one, but as I bent down, I saw the cache to my surprise and it was uncovered. I signed the log, replaced it, covered it back over and then left back up the path. Very dry out here today, but nice to get this cache. In the end, I did go for another cache afterwards, but it was not located, so this was my only find for today. Really enjoyed this walk and cache find. I see this cache has no favourite points, but it really does deserve more as it is a lovely location. Awarding a FP for the enjoyable walk, the lovely Willy Wagtail birds spotted along the way and it’s location being out of the way of prying eyes!
This was the only cache found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Sunshine Toledo***, for showing us this place.

It was nice to hit a dirt trail because it was peak hour on the cement stuff. There were plenty of cyclists out this morning and I suddenly knew what it felt like to be a sardine (without the being eaten and causing bad breath bit).
So it was a nice change to have the path to ourselves. Clearly the lycra brigade don’t ride down this trail because there is no one to look at them and get jealous of the brand names they are touting.
I should have trusted where my phone said to go because I looked in all the other spots first. It was just like every time you’ve misplaced your car keys. Just before jumping the fence the cache was spied and it was time to return to the pretty young pedallers. tftc

I went for a walk before breakfast this morning and decided to find what I could along this walkway / cycleway. Classic cache! Well this was as far as I was going to walk in this direction. Found the cache after a short search but not before the mosquitos found me.Argh!! Thanks for keeping this one alive and TFTC, Biggles.

Out for a walk -found this one afted being soaked by rain that never seemed to let up. Finding this made it worth the effort. TFTC
Riding out here showcases just how much swampland and birdlife exists so close to civilisation. Enjoyed the afternoon riding the kedron brook track. TFTC
18/3/18, 11:43 am Find #1542
Having grabbed another cache not too far away from here, I decided to drag 1GiantPanda over here for just one more, despite saying before we left the house that I was only going for one cache today. Surprised?!
A wander along the path in the full heat of the day, we enjoyed seeing a number of Willy Wagtails enjoying themselves, as well as taking some time to appreciate the water scenery.
Arriving at GZ we soon found ourselves a cache, it wasn't difficult as it was in the open. It was also quite soaked. I poured water out and let logbook dry for a bit, thankfully being the write in the rain type paper it was still usable, and with the heat of the day and the heat on the railing it soon dried enough to be replaced, this time with a little more camo gently placed over it.
Thanks for the cache Sunshine Toledo.

After work, I decided that I could use a walk. A couple of caches along the way would also help. Next, I made my way to this one. At GZ, my phone could not decide just where the cache might be, so I stuck with my caching instincts. With my feet still dry, I located the cache and signed the log. TFTC
We put the pedal to the metal and hightailed it down the bikeway and shot off to the side to make another grab. This is great as no one is over here on the loose gravel, they are all sticking to the concrete path, not us there is a cache over here.
We saw the wet ground as it is high tide and thought looks like our boots are getting wet because there doesn’t seem to be anywhere out here to hide anything. Luckily, we checked the GPS before we got ahead of ourselves, we didn’t need to wet our shoes, or face those big spiders staring at us.
As the log was being signed, one of us thought they were still a teenager and pulled out the old school tricks…

Our second stop for today's bike ride. We really enjoyed the ride up here, it's a pretty little spot. This one took us a while to spot as our phones had us a few metres away. The cache is full of tiny little ants and is very wet inside so could probably do with a new container as this one doesn't seem to be watertight anymore. TFTC
Found on my return trip back to nudgee from nundah. Once I started using my Geo senses the house became clear. TFTC
Perfect winters day to be out caching with geo friends, E:) and RoddyC & this was a good find with great co-ords. Thanks Sunshine Toledo and TFTC
Great weather for Geocachers today so why not go to the Nudgee area. Snickersallen and E:) have joined us.
Almost to the end of our long walk
Log signed and replaced. Found at 9.00am on 29th August 2017. TFTC, Sunshine Toledo.

Cache had not been found for months. . .but is still there. Even tho container was literally half full of water, log is dry so signed & off I go!
After a rainy morning I saw the sun shining and asked my son if he wanted to take our geodog rusty for a walk. As we were walking I looked at caches nearby and there was one 37metres away. Quickly found it then back to the car. Its a great place to walk and cycle along here. Thanks for placing this cache here. Rusty says thank you too.
After a big couple of days caching, I was tired and irritable this morning and couldn't decide what I wanted to do. In the end, I decided to drive to Nundah and cycle along the bike way collecting a few caches.
I parked my bike in the shade by the creek thinking that the cache was there but had to backtrack up the path a bit. A quick, easy find once at GZ.
Before I left, I spent a few minutes pondering the fence which someone took the trouble of building across the creek. It is quite substantial and I wonder as to it's purpose

Found this one underwater! But the log is dry enough. Please make sure this cache is replaced well surrounded and covered otherwise it will float away at high tide!
Too-hot hike for January -- but kids still had a good time finding it. Green painted vegemite jar. Such loud crickets here!
Riding along the bike way today and this was the next stop on the route, Pulled up and spotted something a quick look and sure enough cache in hand. I got my name added to the log and soon moved on.

Maintenance visit today. Completely new cache with replacement new log book. Everything else the same. No change in co-ords or type of cache. Good to go again.
Easy find. Log book very wet, tried drying it out but don't think it helped much. Thanks
I have been neglecting this stretch of caches, waiting for the perfect day to tackle them. With the conditions good for a longish walk my dog xena and I took to the trail.
Found at the turnaround point for our walk. Now for the hike back. This cache was full of water which i emptied and attempted to dry. Time limitations meant I could only add my name on a separate piece of paper. Might need a new container and some TLC from the CO. Tftc. Recovered and returned.

While T-Tech was at a meeting I returned our hired kayak, then had an hour or so to kill. What else to do but grab a couple of caches [^] These two on the bike path looked perfect as I needed a walk to take our some muscle stiffness, and after parking at a familiar roundabout, set off along the graded path. No riders on this part, and no sign of snakes either, although the grass is pretty high on both sides.
At GZ I thought I'd need to go a bit further, and it looked rather muddy (not good in sandals and jeans!) , but it was much easier than that! A nice quick find indeed. All nice and dry inside. TFTC, Sunshine Toledo.

I found myself with a couple of hours to spare before a meeting at Hendra at 3pm, so decided to go for a little walk along the brook side.
I parked at my usual spot off the roundabout and set off. The views across the water were stunning this afternoon. Soon enough I was at the GZ and discovered the cache was surprisingly wet inside. I emptied everything out and left the log and bag drying in the sun, secured under weights, while I continued on my way.
On my return journey, everything was dry so I repacked it all again and went on my merry way. TFTC and nice start to the walk.

We were on a mission to reach 900 today in the lead up to the mega event. Despite the rain we trudged up the path, umbrellas in hand We soon reached GZ and retrieved the container. The log was well sealed in the plastic bag and was still dry. Log signed and container returned, off we trudged to the next one. TFTC Sunshine Toledo
On a bike today - first time in ages. Parked the bike up nice and close on the GZ. A bend down and a pick up cache. TFTC Sunshine Toledo
Must remember when out caching to not ride my porche bike and take my tank bike. Must get it cache ready and fixed first. Left a few trinkets.
Second cache for the day, out on a long bikeride with Barbbowman. I'd been out here years ago and not found this one so it's good to cross it off my list today!
out on a ride from Toombul to Zillmere with wombles ...
both of us have been along here before but not found this one for different reasons
was good to turn it into a smile

Found it very quicly (there are not a lot of possible caches) but we were happy to be on that lovely bikeway (walking). Thanks for bringing us there!
I had grand plans for a big day on the geocycle on the Kedron Brook bikeway, picking up every cache on the way. Started near Chermside and couldn't find my first one so thought I'd continue and find plenty more down the track. Then realised I forgot to bring a pen, so continued passed a few nanos, and there were too many muggles near the others.
Finally got to this cache and thought 'sweet, no muggles, and surely there's a pencil'. No pencil, but still a nice secluded spot. Then my mate called and wanted to catch up for lunch at Shorncliffe, which left no time for any more caches. Number of caches for the day: 1 out of 20, haha.
Looks like the full moon high tide (2.65m) made it up this far last night since there was a high water mark above the cache container, but everything was dry and in good condition inside. Hopefully a king tide doesn't wash it away! tftc!

Thanks for these. Made for a nice family bike ride. Put in a couple of small swaps for future finders.
This was our last find for the day, a nice quick find for us.
Thanks Sunshine Toledo - all is good with the cache.
